스컬용융법에 의한 CaZrO3:Pr3+ 형광체 합성 및 특성분석 (Synthesis and characterization of CaZrO3:Pr3+ phosphor by skull melting method)

  • 페로브스카이트 구조를 가지는 Ca1-xZrO3:xPr 형광체를 스컬용융법으로 합성하였다. 합성한 형광체의 결정구조, 형태 및 광학적 특성은 XRD, SEM, 자외선 형광반응 및 광발광을 통해 분석하였다. XRD 측정에서는 CaZrO3:Pr3+의 단결정이 페로브스카이트 구조의 사방정계로 분석되었다. 합성된 형광체는 254 nm의 UV 광에 의해 여기 될 수 있고 방출 스펙트럼 결과는 506, 536 및 548 nm에서 전하전이 3P03H4, 3P13H53P03H5로 인해 CaZrO3:Pr3+는 녹색 발광이 우세하였다.

  • Background: Black phosphorus (BP) has emerged as a novel class of nanomaterials owing to its unique optical and electronic properties. BP, a two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterial, is a structure where phosphorenes are stacked together in layers by van der Waals interactions. However, although BP nanodots have many advantages, their biosafety and biological effect have not yet been elucidated as compared to the other nanomaterials. Therefore, it is particularly important to assess the cytotoxicity of BP nanodots for exploring their potentials as novel biomaterials. Methods: BP nanodots were prepared by exfoliation with a modified ultrasonication-assisted solution method. The physicochemical properties of BP nanodots were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray diffractometry. In addition, the cytotoxicity of BP nanodots against C2C12 myoblasts was evaluated. Moreover, their cell imaging potential was investigated. Results: Herein, we concentrated on evaluating the cytotoxicity of BP nanodots and investigating their cell imaging potential. It was revealed that the BP nanodots were cytocompatible at a low concentration, although the cell viability was decreased with increasing BP nanodot concentration. Furthermore, our results demonstrated that the cells took up the BP nanodots, and the BP nanodots exhibited green fluorescence. Conclusions: In conclusion, our findings suggest that the BP nanodots have suitable biocompatibility, and are promising candidates as fluorescence probes for biomedical imaging applications.

졸-겔법으로 성장시킨 Mg0.3Zn0.7O 박막의 Mg 전구체의 종류에 따른 광학적·구조적 특성에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Mg Precursors on Optical and Structural Characteristics of Sol-Gel Processed Mg0.3Zn0.7O Thin Films)

  • In this study, MgxZn1-xO thin films, which can be applied not only to active layers of light-emitting devices (LEDs), such as UV-LEDs, but also to solar cells, high mobility field-effect transistors, and power semiconductor devices, are fabricated using the sol-gel method. ZnO and Mg0.3Zn0.7O solution synthesized by the sol-gel method and the thin film were grown by spin coating on a Si (100) substrate and sapphire substrate. The solutions are synthesized by dissolving precursor materials in 2-methoxyethanol (2-ME) solvent, and then monoethanolamine (MEA) was added to the mixed solution as a sol stabilizer. Zinc acetate dihydrate is used as a ZnO precursor, while Mg nitrate hexahydrate and Mg acetate tetrahydrate are used as an MgO precursor. Then, the optical and structural characteristics of the fabricated thin films are compared. The molar concentration of the Zn precursor in the solvent is fixed at 0.3 M, and the amount of the Mg precursor is 30% of Mg2+/Zn2+. The optical characteristics are measured using an UV-vis spectrophotometer, and the transmittance of each wavelength is measured. Structural characteristics are measured using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Composition analyses are performed using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The Mg0.3Zn0.7O thin film was well formed at the ratio of the Mg precursor added regardless of the type of Mg precursor, and the c-axis of the thin film was decreased, while the band gap was increased to 3.56 eV.

SiO2\TiO2 박막에 의한 투명 발수 반사방지 코팅 (Transparent Hydrophobic Anti-Reflection Coating with SiO2\TiO2 Thin Layers)

  • 태양전지의 셀을 보호하기 위한 커버 글라스에는 반사방지 코팅 및 셀프클리닝과 같은 기능성 코팅이 적용되어왔다. 일반적으로 메조포러스 실리카를 이용한 반사방지 코팅은 빛의 투과를 증가시키며, $TiO_2$ 광촉매 필름은 셀프클리닝 코팅에 적용되어왔다. 본 연구에서는 $SiO_2/TiO_2$ 박막 코팅에 의한 투명 발수 반사방지 및 셀프클리닝 코팅을 sol-gel 공정과 dip-coating 공정으로 글라스 기판 위에 제조하였다. 기능성 코팅의 표면형상은 전계방출 주사전자현미경과 원자힘 현미경으로 분석하였고, 광학적 특성은 UV-visible 분광광도계로 분석하였다. 필름의 발수특성은 접촉각 측정으로 확인하였다. 그 결과 $TiO_2$ 필름은 기판인 슬라이드 글라스와 비슷한 수준의 높은 광 투과율을 나타내었다. 일반적으로 $TiO_2$ 나노입자는 필름에서 반사를 증가시키며, 결과적으로 투과율의 저하를 가져온다. 하지만 본 연구의 $SiO_2/TiO_2$ 박막으로 이루어진 기능성 코팅은 $110^{\circ}$의 접촉각을 나타내었으며, 파장 550 nm에서 기판인 슬라이드 글라스의 투과율보다 2.0% 증가한 93.5%의 광 투과율 특성을 나타내었다.

어트리션밀을 이용한 CoAl2O4 나노 무기 안료의 제조 및 특성 평가 (Preparation and characterization of CoAl2O4 blue ceramic nano pigments by attrition milling)

  • $CoAl_2O_4$는 열적 및 화학적으로 매우 안정한 물질이며 독특한 광학적 특성으로 인해 도자기 제품, 유리, 페인트, 플라스틱을 장식하는 세라믹 착색제로 사용되어져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 착체중합법(Polymerized complex method)과 고상합성법(Solid state reaction)을 이용하여 단상의 $CoAl_2O_4$ 청색 무기 안료를 합성하였고, 잉크젯 프린팅용 잉크로의 응용 시 노즐 막힘 및 분산안정성과 같은 문제점을 방지하기 위해 고에너지 밀링 공정 중 하나인 어트리션밀을 이용하여 입자를 미세화하였다. 밀링 공정은 직경 1 mm의 지르코니아 볼을 이용하여 BPR(Ball to powder weight ratio) 100 : 1, 800 rpm의 조건에서 3시간 동안 진행되었다. 합성된 안료는 XRD, FE-SEM, TEM, PSA, 그리고 CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ 측정을 통하여 어트리션밀링 전후의 특성을 분석하였다. XRD 측정 결과 단상의 $CoAl_2O_4$ 청색 무기 안료가 합성되었고, 고에너지 밀링 공정을 통하여 100~200 nm의 입자 크기를 가지는 청색 나노 무기 안료를 얻었다.

Eu3+ 이온의 몰 비 변화에 따른 MgMoO4:Dy3+,Eu3+ 형광체의 광학 특성 (Optical Properties of MgMoO4:Dy3+,Eu3+ Phosphors Prepared with Different Eu3+ Molar Ratios)

  • The effects of $Eu^{3+}$ doping on the structural, morphological, and optical properties of $MgMoO_4:Dy^{3+},Eu^{3+}$ phosphors prepared by solid-state reaction technique were investigated. XRD patterns exhibited that all the synthesized phosphors showed a monoclinic system with a dominant (220) diffraction peak, irrespective of the content of $Eu^{3+}$ ions. The surface morphology of $MgMoO_4:Dy^{3+},Eu^{3+}$ phosphors was studied using scanning electron microscopy and the grains showed a tendency to agglomerate as the content of $Eu^{3+}$ ions increased. The excitation spectra of the phosphor powders were composed of a strong charge transfer band centered at 294 nm in the range of 230~340 nm and two intense peaks at 354 and 389 nm, respectively, arising from the $^6H_{15/2}{\rightarrow}^6P_{7/2}$ and $^6H_{15/2}{\rightarrow}^4M_{21/2}$ transitions of $Dy^{3+}$ ions. The emission spectra of the $Mg_{0.85}MoO_4$:10 mol% $Dy^{3+}$ phosphors without incorporating $Eu^{3+}$ ions revealed a strong yellow band centered at 573 nm resulting from the $^4F_{9/2}{\rightarrow}^6H_{13/2}$ transition of $Dy^{3+}$. As the content of $Eu^{3+}$ was increased, the intensity of the yellow emission was gradually decreased, while that of red emission band located at 614 nm began to appear, approached a maximum value at 10 mol%, and then decreased at 15 mol% of $Eu^{3+}$. These results indicated that white light emission could be achieved by controlling the contents of the $Dy^{3+}$ and $Eu^{3+}$ ions incorporated into the $MgMoO_4$ host crystal.

HVPE 법을 통한 GaN 성장 시 기판 종류 및 V/III 비에 따른 잔류 stress 특성 연구 (Study on residual stress characteristics according to the substrate type and V/III ratio during GaN growth by HVPE)

  • 본 연구에서는 HVPE 성장법으로 GaN 성장 시 GaN 내에 잔류하는 stress로 인한 crack 현상을 감소시키고자 기판 종류 및 V/III 비를 조절하여 잔류 stress 특성을 알아보고자 하였다. Sapphire, GaN template 위에 각각 V/III 비 5, 10, 15의 조건으로 GaN을 성장시켜 형성된 hexagonal pit의 분포 및 깊이를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 GaN on GaN template 성장에서 V/III 비가 높을수록 hexagonal pit의 분포 영역 및 깊이가 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. Raman 측정을 통해 hexagonal pit 영역 및 깊이가 컸던 GaN on GaN template 성장에서 V/III 비가 높을수록 stress가 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 hexagonal pit의 분포 및 깊이가 증가할수록 잔류 stress가 낮아짐을 확인할 수 있었으며, 향후 후막 GaN 성장 시 stress 감소 가능성에 대해 확인하였다.

스컬용융법에 의한 CaZrO3 : Eu3+ 형광체 합성 (Synthesis of CaZrO3 : Eu3+ phosphor by skull melting method)

  • 단결정상을 가지는 CaZrO3 : Eu3+ 형광체를 스컬용융법으로 합성하였다. 합성된 형광체의 결정구조, 형태 및 광학적 특성은 XRD, SEM, UV 형광반응 및 PL을 분석하였다. 출발 원료는 CaO : ZrO2 : Eu2O3를 0.962 : 1.013 : 0.025 mol%로 하여 냉각도가니에 충진하였다. 냉각도가니는 내부 직경 120 mm, 높이 150 mm이며, 혼합된 파우더 3 kg은 3.4 MHz의 출력 주파수로 1시간 이내에 완전히 용융되어 2시간 동안 유지시킨 후 자연냉각 시켰다. XRD 측정에서는 다른 결정상은 측정되지 않았으며 페로브스카이트 구조의 정방정계로 분석되었다. 합성된 형광체는 UV 광에 의해 여기 될 수 있고 방출 스펙트럼 결과는 615 nm에서 자기 쌍극자 전이 5D07F2로 인해 CaZrO3 : Eu3+의 밝은 적색 발광이 우세하였다.

강황추출물이 Diethylnitrosamine과 CCl4로 유발된 흰쥐의 간암과 간 손상에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Curcumae Longae Rhizoma (CLR) Extract on the Hepatocellular Carcinogenesis and Acute Liver Damage Induced by Diethylnitrosamine (DENA) and CCl4 in Rats)

  • Objective : In order to investigate the effect of Curcumae Longae Rhizoma(CLR) extract on the hepatocellular carcinogenesis and acute liver damage induced by diethylnitrosamine(DENA) and $CCl_4$ in rats. Methods : Experimental groups were subdivided into four; normal group (Nor), acute liver damage and hepatocellular cancer inducing control group (Con), and CLR extract 200mg/kg/day (CAA) or 400mg/kg/day (CAB) administered groups to Con. Thereafter the changes of the body weight, the liver weight and the weight of liver/100g body weight, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglyceride, the activities of AST, ALT, ALP, LDH, AFP, SOD, catalase were measured. And we observed by optical and electron microscopy. Result : 1. The body weight was decreased in Con compared with Nor for 5 weeks, but increased in Con compared with Nor from 6 week to 9 week. During experimental period of total 9 weeks, CAA and CAB were increased compared with Con. 2. The liver weight was increased significantly (p<0.05) in Con compared with Nor. The weight of liver/100g body weight was increased significantly (p<0.05) in Con compared with Nor and decreased significantly (p<0.05) in CAB compared with Con. 3. The level of total cholesterol was increased in Con and CAA compared with Nor, but there was not statistically significant. The level of triglyceride was decreased in Con compared with Nor. But increased in CAA and CAB compared with Con. The level of HDL-cholesterol was significantly increased (p<0.05) in CAA and CAB compared with Con. 4. The activities of AST, ALT were increased in Con compared with Nor, but decreased in CAA compared with Con, significantly decreased (p<0.05) in CAB compared with Con. 5. The activities of ALP, LDH were increased in Con compared with Nor, but decreased in CAA and CAB compared with Con. 6. The activities of AFP was increased significantly (p<0.05) in Con compared with Nor, but decreased significantly (p<0.05) in CAA and CAB compared with Con. 7. The activities of SOD were increased in Con, CAA and CAB compared with Nor, but decreased in CAA and CAB compared with Con. The activities of Catalase was more increased in CAA and CAB compared than Con. 8. The results of light microscopical observation, a number of hepatocytes were damaged in Con compared with Nor and CAB. 9. According to the electron microscopical observation, irregular nuclear membrane, condensed nucleoplasm was observed in Con, the experimental group was observed in the nucleus of the well-preserved and evenly developed nucleoplasm. Conclusions : These results suggest that administration of CLR extract suppress or retard on the hepatocellular carcinogenesis and acute liver damage induced by DENA and $CCl_4$ in rats.

인진삼물탕(茵蔯三物湯)이 DENA로 유발된 흰쥐의 간암에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Injinsammul-tang(IJS) on the Hepatocellular Carcinogenesis Induced by Diethylnitrosamine(DENA) in Rats)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the effect of Injinsammul-tang (IJS) on hepatocellular carcinogenesis in rats. Methods : Sprague Dawley (SD) rats of control and treatment groups received intraperitoneal injection of 50 mg/kg/day diethylnitrosamine (DENA) weekly for 8 weeks. Experimental rats were classified into 3 groups; normal group (Nor), hepatic cancer induced control group (Con), and IJS extract 250 mg/kg administered group (IST) after being injected with DENA. Thereafter the changes of body weight, liver weight and weight of liver/100g body weight, the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were measured. Gross anatomy and optical microscopy were also observed. Results : The body weight decreased in Con and IST compared with the Nor. The weight of liver and the weight of liver/100g body weight increased significantly in Con and IST compared with the Nor. The activities of AST, ALT, ALP, LDH increased in the Con compared with Nor, but decreased in IST compared with Con. The activities of SOD increased in the Con and IST compared with Nor. Upon naked eye and light microscopic examination, IJS improved the morphological and histopathological changes of liver caused by DENA-induced hepatic neoplasm. The number of hepatic p53 positive cells decreased in the IST compared with Con. Conclusions : Most of the results did not show a significant effect, but some of the results showed a significant effect. It can be estimated that IJS has some effects on hepatocellular carcinogenesis induced by DENA in rats, and further studies will be needed.
