Studies on Plywood Treated Fire-Retardant - III. The Fire-Retardant Degree of Monoammonium Phosphate Treated Plywood (합판(合板)의 내화처리(耐火處理)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) - III. 제1인산(第一燐酸)암모늄처리합판(處理合板)의 내화도(耐火度))

  • Plywood used for construction as a decorative inner material is inflammable and can fire accident, causing destruction of human life and property. In this study, 3.5mm Kapur plywoods were soaked in the 23% monoammonium phosphate solutions by cold soaking method 3, 6, 9hrs and hot-cold bath method for 3/3hrs, and redrying was carried out by press-drying at the platen temperature of 110, 130, 160, 180$^{\circ}C$, and then fire test was carried out to investigate burning point, flame exhausted length, frame spread length, back side carbonized area and weight loss. The results are as follows; 1. In cold soaking method for 3, 6, 9hrs. retentions of monoammonium phosphate were 0.377, 0.448, 0.498kg/(30cm)$^3$ respectively, and in hot-cold bath method for 3/3hrs, the retention was 1.331kg(30cm)$^3$ that exceeded the minimum retention 1.124kg/(30cm)$^3$. 2. Correlation coefficients among the variable were shown in table 2. From the table, it could be recognized that there were close negative correlations between the treatment and burning point, flame spread length, back side carbonized area, flame exhausted time and weight loss, and there was negative correlation between treating time and back side carbonized area, but there was positive correlation between platen temperature and burning point. 3. From table 3, it can be observed that there were highly significant differences for burning point, flame spread length, flame exhausted time, back side carhonized area, weight loss between treatments. And in 2-way interactions, there were also highly significant for burning point, flame spread length, flame exhausted time, weight loss between time x treatment. 4. It was observed that burning point, flame exhausted time, flame spread length, back side carbonized area, and weight loss in fire-retardant treated plywood were the best effects in fire-retardant treated plywood, water treated plywood and nontreated plywood. In conclusion, I can estimate that absorbed chemical contents by hot-cold bath method for 3/3hrs, have a lot of effects on fire-retardant factors such as burning point, flame spread length, flame exhausted time, backside carbonized area and weight loss, but platen temperatures have a little effects on the fire factors.

  • Sensor nodes are used as a storage space in the data centric storage method for sensor networks. Sensor nodes save the data to the node which is computed by hash table and users also access to the node to get the data by using hash table. One of the problems which the data centric storage method has is that queries from many users who are interested in the popular data could be concentrated to one node. In this case, responses for queries could be delayed and the energy of heavy loaded node could be dissipated fast. This would lead to reduction of network life time. In this paper, ALT, Data Centric Storage based on Adaptive Local Trajectory, is proposed as scalable data centric storage method for sensor network. ALT constructs trajectory around the storage node. The scope of trajectory is increased or decreased based on the query frequency. ALT distributes the query processing loads to several nodes so that delay of response is reduced and energy dissipation is also distributed.

The Affordance of the Floor Heating System in Children's Libraries (어린이 도서관에 있어서 바닥 난방시스템의 지원성)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how the floor heating system is affecting to users in childeren's libraries. This study included the method that extracts the affordance of the floor heating system, after surveyed using behavior in children's libraries and referred to J. J. Gibson's affordance and surface concepts. As the positive affordance, it was grasped that the floor heating system promotes social relationships and affords various surfaces for library using, but also as the negative affordance, that hinders users in the public usings and the behaviors for reference and using. The behaviors of these various characters can be regarded as life behaviors resulted from the sitting life style and the natural using behavior can give to children emotional rest and autonomous reading experience. For the function as the children's library, the learning of sociality in the public building and the various reading space, the space planning of children's library should be done after the positive and negative affordances extracted from this study are reflected. The guidelines for space planning are summarized as the followings: the layout of book furniture, the shoe chest and the space around that, the furniture hight and children's eye level, and the practical using of the table for sitting life style.

  • Currently, there is database for per unit requirements of major construction materials in terms of energy consumption and $CO_2$ emission based on the input-output table published by the Bank of Korea in 2000, but no database for per unit requirements based on input-output tables was published in 2005 and 2007. The purpose of this study was to calculate the unit requirement values of major construction materials in terms of energy consumption and $CO_2$ emission generated by using the input-output tables published in 2005 and 2007. To estimate the unit requirement values, a database building method with the input-output tables was adopted by selecting 16 types of construction materials in wide use on construction sites. When the study results were compared with existing unit requirement values based on the input-output table of 2000, there were small discrepancies, from which it can be interpreted that the method used in the study is reasonable. Unit requirement values estimated based on input-output tables of 2005 and 2007 tended to decrease, and the highest value of energy consumption and $CO_2$ emission were found in the materials using cement and rebar.

Analysis of Korean Dietary Life Adaptation of Married Female Immigrants (결혼이주여성의 한국음식문화 적응 경험 분석)

  • Objectives: This study aims to investigate the married female immigrants' experience on Korean dietary life adaptation, especially identifying the symbolic meaning and nature of experiences. Methods: This study was conducted with six married female immigrants through an analysis of the qualitative materials which consisted of in-depth interviews, field notes and materials. Data was analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological research methods. Results: The results were deduced as 116 significant statements, 17 formulated meanings (sub-theme), and 6 theme clusters. Six theme clusters comprised of lack of preliminary knowledge and information, conflict and support in relationships, Korean food culture which is different from homeland, adaptation attitudes of Korean food culture according to situation, sharing of homeland food culture, and practical difficulty and expectative service. The participants started Korean life in the dark about Korea and Korean food culture, so they were subjected to trial and error. The conflict between Korean mother-in-law and foreign daughter-in-law came from lack of consideration of daughter-in-law's cultural background. Some participants were hurt because of misunderstanding and nitpicking. They were learning about cooking method, ingredient, seasoning, table setting and manner. Some participants integrated Korean food culture and their homeland food culture. Some of them assimilated with Korean food culture. One of them maintained homeland food culture. The participants who adapted Korean food culture well could share homeland food amicably. They sometimes didn't apply the services which were offered by the government, because the services did not fit their needs. Some of them didn't know the usage route of the services or information. They had resistance about home teaching and it showed that outreach service was not always effective. Conclusions: This study suggested that it is necessary to develop a practical support plan which covers married female immigrants' real needs and system improvement measures.

A Study on the Estimation of ACSR's Life using Tensile Characteristics (인장특성을 이용한 ACSR 수명예측에 관한 연구)

  • ;The consicErations for reminder life of transmission line is gradually higher. It is requisite for investigation of ACSR's life to test tensile load of ACSR as a fundamental data. It is vary important to analysis correlations between results of tensile load testing and elasped years. Estimation of ACSR's life can be obtained by statistics processing using mechanical experirrental results. It is a general method to use regression analysis as a statistics processing technique. In this paper, we did experiment on tensile strength of ACSR by using a new and old ACSR as sample experirrental materials. The limit of life estimation is decided by basic line using twenty percentage reduction of rate tensile strength. This basic line is like to results of Canada Ontario Hydro-research. There are $95[\textrm{mm}^2]$, $97[\textrm{mm}^2]$, $120[\textrm{mm}^2]$, $240[\textrm{mm}^2]$ ACSRs which are experimented on this study. 1be life estimation of these ACSR is presented by table 1 to be obtained through the linear regression and nonlinear regression analysis. SPSS and statistics toolbox of matlab is used for analysis.lysis.

Estimation of Attributable Burden due to Premature Death from Smoking in Korea (우리 나라 흡연으로 인한 조기사망의 질병부담)

  • Objective : In this study, we focused on estimating the burden of premature death in Korea caused by smoking using the YLL(years of life lost due to premature death) measurement. Methods : First, we determined parameters: such as age-specific standard life expectancy, age on death, sex, and cause of death by analyzing the national death certificate data and life table collected during 1997. These were provided by the National Statistical Office. Secondly, we estimated the age group- specific years of life lost due to premature death by employing the standard expected years of life lost(SEYLL) measurement. Thirdly, the burden of premature death caused by smoking was estimated using the YLLs measurement which was developed by the global burden of disease study group. Fourthly, We calculated the risk related to smoking using the population attributable risk. Results : The following results were obtained in this study: 1) Premature death that is attributable to smoking in males could be prevented in 60.9%(513,582 person-year) by non-smoking. 2) The burden of premature death by smoking for female was prevented to 17.7%(513,582 person-year) by non-smoking. Conclusion : We found that the YLL method employed in this study was appropriate in quantifying the burden of premature death. This provides a rational basis for planning a national health policy regarding premature deaths caused by smoking and other related risk factors.

  • This paper proposes a method to endow the mobility to the Zigbee protocol which is a short distance wireless communication technology among the standards of wireless sensor networks. The Zigbee has a low price, long life battery, simple structure and connectivity. So it is a suitable standard for the short distance wireless communication of $10m{\sim}70m$. As the Zigbee does not support the mobility, additional factors should be studied to deal adeptly with the diverse change in the real field. By solving the problem that the previous connection and binding table of the Zigbee end device should be reset due to the Zigbee end device address variation when the Zigbee end device moves from the present router to another router, this paper presents the method to communicate without data loss or disconnection.

  • IM(Instant Messenger) chatting service can carry user's various information including life style, geographical position, and psychology & crime history and thus forensic analysis on the IM service is desirable. But, forensic analysis for KakaoTalk's chatting service is not well studied yet. For this reason, we study KakaoTalk's forensic analysis focusing on chatting service. This paper first details a general method of IM forensics investigating the previous articles about IM forensics although there are not many articles. Second, we discuss methodologies for IM forensics wherein we present analysis of table structure and method for reconstruction of chatting message. These result in the basic element of forensic tools of KakaoTalk chatting message. Last, we compare artifacts of KakaoTalk with that of WhatsApp. We conclude that these applications are, at least, different in that table structures and the ways to reconstruct chatting messages are not same and therefore digital evidences or artifacts are not same and somewhat distinct.

Improvement in Surface Roughness by Multi Point B Axis Control Method in Diamond Turning Machine (다이아몬드 터닝머신에서 다중점 B 축 제어 가공법을 통한 표면거칠기 향상)

  • This paper details a new ultra-precise turning method for increasing surface quality, "Multi Point B Axis Control Method." Machined surface error is minimized by the compensation machining process, but the process leaves residual chip marks and surface roughness. This phenomenon is unavoidable in the diamond turning process using existing machining methods. However, Multi Point B axis control uses a small angle (< $1^{\circ}$) for the unused diamond edge for generation of ultra-fine surfaces; no machining chipping occurs. It is achieved by compensated surface profiling via alignment of the tool radial center on the center of the B axis rotation table. Experimental results show that a diamond turned surface using the Multi Point B axis control method achieved P-V $0.1{\mu}m$ and Ra 1.1nm and these ultra-fine surface qualities are reproducible.
