이중의제접근을 통한 가족친화경영 (A Theoretical Study on Family-Friendly Management - Dual Agenda Approach -)

  • The purpose of this study is to review previous domestic and foreign studies and to investigate personal work-life harmonization through theoretical research on familyfriendly management using a dual agenda approach. The authors briefly identified trends and critically reviewed domestic researches on family-friendly management and foreign studies of scholars that overcame the limitations of domestic studies to present a foundation for work-life harmonization through a dual agenda approach. As a result, the existing family-friendly management was found to be compatible with work and family but was not effective in developing personal careers. The workers who actively accepted family-friendly management as part of their work-life balance were mostly female laborers who were employed part-time, had lower academic education, earned lower wages and, in general, were non-professional workers without specific skills or career aspirations. The remainder of the workers, full-time male employees, with higher education and with professional knowledge and skills, inevitably worked longer, more labor-intensive hours, due to the advent of the dual agenda approach. A new work-life harmonization program is urgently needed not only for family-friendliness but also for healthy organizations, individual career development and personal wellbeing.

정보사회와 가족자원경영학의 학문적 지향 (Information Society and the Subject of Family Resource Management)

  • Because information society as a lather environment has different characteristics with the industrial one, we need to get the new guideline for the development of family resource management. So, this study was purposed to explore the importance of the information as a resource that is to be managed in the information society. To find the answer, challenge of the family resource management to be with, characteristics of the information and the information society, their effects on He family resource management, academic research patterns and activities of the public institutions were examined. As results, first, we need to focus on the family as a producer rather than a consumer. Second, we have to give the model of cuber life to the nomads in the information society. Third, we need to develope a new curriculm for students to play their parts in the ICT industry. Lastly, our efforts to make networks between researchers and persons in the In industry are needed.

농촌 노인의 역할유형이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Role Type on the Life Satisfaction of the Elderly in Rural Areas)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the role types that affect the life satisfaction of the elderly in rural areas. The research subjects were 1,000 people aged 65 years and over living in the rural areas of Korea. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows: First, as a result of substituting the role of rural elderly people into the role type of Rosow, the family role was drastically decreased, the health and self-management roles were increased and the social role was not changed much. In other words, the role type of the rural elderly supported the hypothesis proposed by Rosow. Second, life satisfaction was affected by monthly living expenses, social role, educational level, gender, farm, and religion. In order to improve the life satisfaction of the rural elderly, it is necessary to build programs and infrastructures that can play social roles in rural areas.

도시주부의 가치유형과 계획행동유형 및 가정생활만족도 (Value Patterns Planning Styles and Family Life Satisfaction of Urban Homemakers)

  • This study analyzed the relationships among the components of home management system. Through this it make to explain relationship between values and planning exactly and partially to test empirically system model to home management 650 housewives were adapted as data. Cluster analysis \chi$2 and ANOVA were used as statistical analysis. The resultes are summarized as follows 1) Goal-centered planning level was higher than that of resource-centered By 2 plannings subjects were classified into 4 planning styles : active morphogenic resource-reorganized demand-reorganized passive morphostatic style. 2) A difference between terminal value patterns and planning styles was no significant but a difference between instrumental value patterns and planning styles was significant. Family life satisfaction showed significant differences by not value patterns but planning styles. Because of high family life satisfaction as output of management active morphogenic style was successful. For succ ssful planning, it was suggested that homemarkers should possess values related broadminded loving and forgiving.

  • Trying to give an overview of home informationization accelerated by the information age, the main purpose of this research is to suggest a guide for home Economics to adjust to the era. While the informatinization in home provides convenience and plays a major role to improve the quality of the life there are still many problems to be reflected on. First of all in order to utilize a variety of information devices it is needed that technical index related to home management such as home information device index and the expenditure on information is studied. Secondly, it is needed to predict possible home life style in the future and build up the ability to adjust to the change. Therefore, in the field of home economics, developing programs to offer the better chance of education on home life and culture, values, relationships, capability to enhance home life etc, is in urgent need of reflection.

  • The purpose of this study was to achieve regarding the environmental problem due to excessive economic development for human being's continous life and to try to enhance the quality of life. The major findings of this study are as followings: 1) Environmental consciousness and activity are closely correlated and also postively related to quality of life. Accordingly, environmental consciousness should be inspired and the environmental activities performed successfully to enhance the quality of life so that we can lead higher quality of life. 2) Income takes the highest position in the life-influncing factor with the following sequence of environmental consciousness, preservation acitivity, housekeeper's education level and age. So, earlier and steady education are important in raising the education level to have people equipped with environmental consciousness and activity. Moreover, we should be able to create income through education to enhance the quality of life. Accordingly, we should take a positive measure for enhancing environmental preservation and quality of life to meet two solutions, such as mankind's continuous development and value-oriented life.

  • Work and family life affect each other. Especailly in a corporate-centered society the impact of work on the family is very strong. Organigational sexrole culture is used not only as a method of business management, but also as a style of family living. The Purpose of this study was to analyze an effect of occupation and organizational sexrole culture of husband on the family life. Data for 214 husbands were gathered from the structured questionnaire and time diary. The major findings of this study were as follows; (1) According to the occupation, organizational sexrole culture of husbands is very different. (2) The occupation and organizational sexrole culture of husbands have an important effect on their life time structure. (3) The occupation and organizational sexrole culture of husbands effect on their participation rate of household labor. These results suggested that husbands’ occupation and organization sexrole culture have a significant effect on the family life.

관리 효과성 측정을 위한 기초 연구: Sharpe와 Winter의 효과적 관리 행동 가설에 관한 검증 (The Basic Study on Measurement of Managerial Effectiveness: Verification on Working Hypotheses of Effective Management by Sharpe and Winter)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify working hypotheses of effective management proposed by Sharpe and Winter(1991). For this purpose Managerial Effectiveness Scale(MES) developed and investigated relation with family life satisfaction. MES was divided into four conditions, performance-condition, timing, high level, and middle range and was included twenty-five managerial elements. Conditions of MES were highly correlated one another. It was assumed that four conditions related to promote synergistic effectiveness of managerial actions. Also, MES was positively related with family life satisfaction. It was suggested that effective management actions should improve should improve satisfaction of family life in general, and so family needs and goals should actualize through effective managerial-processes.

재한 중국 조선족의 생활 형태 및 삶의 질에 관한 연구 (A Study on Real-Life Conditions and Quality of Life among Korean-Chinese in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was not only to identify real-life conditions of Korean-Chinese in Korea(clothing habits, eating habits, housing habits, economic life and leisure activities) but also to reveal the related variables that shall affect life quality. The subjects were selected from Korean-Chinese in Korea related to ‘Compatriots House’. The survey was conducted from June 20th to July 5th, 2000. A total of 225 questionnaires out of 350 were used as the final data analysis. All data were analyzed using the SAS/PC for frequency, percentage, F-test and Regression analysis. The study revealed the following results. 1. Significant differences were found in life quality of Korean-Chinese in Korea according to age(p<.05), optimum income (p<.001), health condition(p<.001), education level(p<.005), and entry motivation(p<.05). 2. Variable such as optimum income(β=.334) education level(β=-.190), monthly income(β=.170), health condition(β=.151), and self-esteem(β=.133) affected life quality of Korean-Chinese in Korea. Korean-Chinese’s life quality was explained by these variable(35%). The optimum income variable was the primary influential factor.
