철도차량 안전관리체계에 대한 연구 (A Study on Safety Management System for Rolling Stock)

  • For ensuing rolling stock safety, it is necessary that safety management should be made systematically through its whole life cycle. That is to say, safety management activities for every steps of rolling stock life cycle should be defined, and the roles of managers such as executor, assessor, and certificator should be shared clearly. This paper defines the safety management activities based on IEC 62278, analyzing foreign and domestic safety regulation systems, and suggests the reformed safety management system for rolling stock in Korea

가족생활주기에 따른 가계의 소비생활문제에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Problems in the Consumption Life of Household Over Family Life Cycle)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the problems in the consumption life of household over the family life cycle so that they would support to select the consumer education subjects and the establish the long-term household plan. For these purposes, a survey was conducted using questionnaire. The data used in this study included 562 homemakers living in Seoul. Statistics used for data analysis were frequency distribution, Mean, Percentile, One-way Anova, Scheffie-test, Multiple Classification Analysis. Major findings were as follows; 1) In the level of the problems in the consumption life of household, housing problem, durable goods problem, healthy-medical problem and child education problem area were in the low level. Leisure problem and properties management problem area were in the high level. 2) The problems in the consumption life of household differed significantly over the family life cycle. 3) When controlling family monthly income and education level of husband was compared with not-controlling them, the influences of family life cycle on the problems in the consumption life were as follows. (1)At housing problem area, the effect of the FLC was higher in controlling them than not-controlling them. (2) At other problems the effects of the FLC was lower or same in controlling them than not-controlling them.

An integrated monitoring system for life-cycle management of wind turbines

  • With an annual growth rate of about 30%, wind energy systems, such as wind turbines, represent one of the fastest growing renewable energy technologies. Continuous structural health monitoring of wind turbines can help improving structural reliability and facilitating optimal decisions with respect to maintenance and operation at minimum associated life-cycle costs. This paper presents an integrated monitoring system that is designed to support structural assessment and life-cycle management of wind turbines. The monitoring system systematically integrates a wide variety of hardware and software modules, including sensors and computer systems for automated data acquisition, data analysis and data archival, a multiagent-based system for self-diagnosis of sensor malfunctions, a model updating and damage detection framework for structural assessment, and a management module for monitoring the structural condition and the operational efficiency of the wind turbine. The monitoring system has been installed on a 500 kW wind turbine located in Germany. Since its initial deployment in 2009, the system automatically collects and processes structural, environmental, and operational wind turbine data. The results demonstrate the potential of the proposed approach not only to ensure continuous safety of the structures, but also to enable cost-efficient maintenance and operation of wind turbines.

기능안전을 위한 IEC 61508의 안전수명주기에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Safety Life Cycle of IEC 61508 for Functional Safety)

  • The IEC 61508 standard was established to specify the functional safety of E/E/PE safety-related systems. Safety life cycle to provide the framework and direction for the application of IEC 61508 is included in this standard. In this paper, we describe overviews, objects, scopes, requirements and activities of each phase in safety life cycle. In addition, we introduce safety integrity level(SIL) which is used for verifying the safety integrity requirements of E/E/PE system and perform a case study to estimate hardware SIL by FMEDA. The SIL is evaluated by two criteria. One of them is the architectural constraints which restrict the maximum SIL by combination of SFF and HFT. The other is the probability of failure which is classified into PFD and PFH based on frequency of demand and calculated by safe or dangerous failure rates.

  • This paper investigates how the weights of performance measures vary depending on corporate life cycle, such as birth, growth, maturity, revival, and decline. Balanced Scorecard performance measures are employed for this investigation. Balanced Scorecard has been widely used for measuring a corporate Performance by incorporating financial and non-financial measures simultaneously. Because these performance measures are related to the compensation and promotion of employees, research of weights of performance measures would be instrumental. Questionnaires from 218 companies are analyzed. Depending on the corporate life cycle, our survey results demonstrate that the weights of the business Performance measures differ In the four Perspectives - financial. customer, Internal Process, and learning/growth. Our results can be used for enhancing the Duality of performance measurement systems.

  • Advanced Railway countries are developing technologies of production and management for low-carbon and green growth of their railway industry to hold a dominant position under post-Tokyo protocol regime through integrated approach which uses environmental quantitative analysis of train life cycle by using LCA(Life Cycle Assessment). On the contrary, Korea railroad industry attempts to make an environmental improvement only for using regenerative energy and improvement in operating energy consumption through adapting reduction weight of material technology and etc. without systematic environmental analysis approaches such as comparing and analyzing energy consumption as well as GHG emission in each life cycle stages of train. Therefore, In this paper, low-carbon management and comprehensive environmental improvement for sustainable development of Korea railway industry through analyzing the result of life cycle analysis in abroad are suggested.

  • The management of railroad structures is more difficult and complicate because there are many structures such as rail, bridge, tunnel, station, and so on. Therefore, LCC(Life Cycle Cost) analysis of railroad structures as public infrastructure must contain a maintenance cost as well as an initial cost in order to make a more effective management during the life cycle on the design phase. This paper presents a cost classification scheme considering user costs such as value of delayed time of passenger and freight. Also, in this study it is developed a probabilistic life cycle cost(PLCC) analysis model of railroad structures taking into account uncertainties and variations of input variables in order to analyze LCC. It may be stated that the model proposed in this study can greatly contribute to the making optimal decision, the estimate of the maintenance cost and the allocate of budget in the project of railroad structures.

  • Typical highway infrastructure systems include roadway pavement, drainage systems, tunneling, and other hardware components such as guardrails, traffic signs, and lighting. Tunnels in a highway system have provided significant advantages to overcoming various natural challenges including crossing underneath bodies of water or through mountainous areas. While only a few tunnel failure cases have been reported, the failure rate is likely to increase as these assets age and because agencies have not emphasized tunneling asset management. A tunnel system undergoes a deterioration life cycle pattern that is similar to other infrastructure systems. There are very few agencies in the United States implementing comprehensive tunnel asset management programs. While current tunnel asset management programs focus on inspection, maintenance, and operation safety, there is an increasing need for the development of a comprehensive life cycle tunnel asset management program. This paper describes a conceptual framework for a comprehensive tunnel asset management program. The framework consists of three basic phases including a strategic plan, a tactical plan, and an operational plan to provide better information to the decision makers. The strategic plan is a basic long term approach of tunnel asset management. The tactical plan determines specific objectives and the operational plan actually applies asset management objectives in practice. The information includes operational condition, structural condition, efficiency of the system, emergency response, and life cycle cost analysis for tunnel capital improvement project planning.

의료기기 소프트웨어 위험관리를 위한 개발생명주기 기반 위험관리 요구사항 연관성 분석 (Development Life Cycle-Based Association Analysis of Requirements for Risk Management of Medical Device Software)

  • 최근에는 의료기기의 구성 요소 중 소프트웨어의 기능과 역할이 커지고, 의료기기 소프트웨어의 작동이 사용자의 생명과 안전에 직결되는 특성으로 인해 의료기기 소프트웨어의 안전성 보장에 대한 중요함은 더욱 강조되고 있다. 이를 위해 의료기기의 안전성을 효과적으로 보장할 수 있는 활동과 각각의 요구사항들을 제시하고 있는 여러 표준이 제정되었다. 표준들이 의료기기 소프트웨어의 안전성을 보장하기 위해 제시하는 활동으로는 크게 의료기기 소프트웨어의 개발생명주기와 위험관리 프로세스로 나뉜다. 이 두 활동은 개발 과정 중 동시에 진행되어야 하지만, 의료기기 소프트웨어 개발생명주기의 각 단계에서 수행되어야하는 위험관리 요구사항들은 분류되어있지 않다는 한계점이 있다. 이로 인해 개발자들은 의료기기 개발 중에 직접 표준들의 연관성을 분석하여 위험관리 활동을 수행해야한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 의료기기 소프트웨어 개발생명주기와 위험관리 프로세스의 연관성을 분석하고, 위험관리 요구사항 항목들을 추출한다. 그리고 분석한 연관성을 토대로 추출된 위험관리 요구사항 항목을 개발생명주기에 대응시킴으로서, 의료기기 소프트웨어의 개발 중 효과적이고 체계적인 위험관리를 가능하게 한다.

1인가구의 생애주기별 생활실태 및 생활만족도 : 김포시 1인가구를 중심으로 (Living Conditions and Life Satisfaction of Single-person Households by Life Cycle : An Analysis of Single-person Households in Kimpo, South Korea)

  • 이 연구는 가족의 다양성 차원에서 1인가구의 보편화 현상에 주목하여, 김포시 1인가구 사례를 중심으로 1인가구의 생애주기별 생활실태 그리고 생활만족도를 살펴보았다. 조사는 김포시 거주 1인가구를 대상으로 2022년도 8-10월에 걸쳐 대면설문조사로 실시되었다. 생애주기별로 청년/중장년/노년기 1인가구로 집단을 구분하였고, 1인가구의 인구사회학적 배경, 개인생활 영역, 가족관계, 생활만족도 등의 문항을 통계분석에 활용하였다. 조사대상자 특성을 파악하기 위한 기술통계, 생애주기별 생활실태의 차이를 검증하기 위한 교차분석과 일원분산분석, 그리고 생활만족도에 영향 미치는 변수를 파악하기 위한 중다회귀분석을 적용하였다. 주요 연구결과로, 먼저 1인가구의 식생활관리, 의류관리, 주거관리, 가정관리, 자기돌봄, 경제생활, 여가생활 등에서 생애주기별로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 1인가구의 생활만족도에 영향 미치는 변수로는 생애주기 즉 중노년기 보다 청년기일 경우 높은 수준으로 나타났고, 또 돌보아야 하는 가족원의 존재, 1인가구 형성의 자발성, 차별경험, 지역사회 인지수준, 유대 등이 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과를 볼 때, 1인가구가 생애주기별로 다른 욕구 그리고 문제를 가질 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 의식주생활, 가정관리, 자기돌봄, 경제생활, 여가 등 생활의 여러 영역에서 생애주기별 1인가구의 경험과 어려움의 차이를 반영하여 맞춤형의 정책과 프로그램을 제공할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
