Many for-profit and not-for-profit organizations' service provider can affect customers' perceptions of the organization based on the relationship between the customers and the organizations. This study aims to identify the relational benefits in libraries, and analyze the relationship between relational benefits and library trust and perception using a questionnaire. As a result, public library customers realize relational benefits with librarians. And these relational benefits affect library trust and perception. This study is meaningful in that it focuses on the relationships in libraries for the first time, which can contribute to the positive perceptions of customer-librarian relations.

A great number of institutions around the world have been building digital repositories to communicate scholarly information. Meanwhile, digital repositories have been struggling with how to preserve increased volume of digital contents for the long term and how to build a sustainable information environment. The HathiTrust partnership was established to meet the need of a sustainable collaborative model of digital repositories in research libraries, mainly in North America, and has been expanded globally by signing with other libraries around the world. This paper is dealt with the establishment, operation and policy, construction status, and user service of the HathiTrust. The results presented in this paper include the benefits and potential opportunities of the HathiTrust as a participating member. Partnership in HathiTrust would allow each member institution to provide more cost-effective operations, shared management and long-term preservation of digital content, ease of copyright management, and increased accessibility. In the future it is expected to provide a shared storage of printed materials and to facilitate a big data research center.

This study endeavors to delineate the essential components of digital preservation policies requisite for data repositories. Drawing from an examination of digital preservation policies from data repositories accredited by CoreTrustSeal in 2023, this study unveils the pivotal components intrinsic to a digital preservation policy framework, subsequently elucidating the content each component encompasses. The proffered framework is anticipated to serve as a foundational reference for institutions aiming to craft their digital preservation policies, transcending the confines of those solely pursuing CoreTrustSeal certification, to encompass both domestic and international institutions irrespective of their intent to seek CoreTrustSeal certification.

Article 50 and article 18 related to orphan works in the Copyright Act of Korea and Enforcement Decree of the Copyright Act of Korea define 'considerable efforts' to locate copyright owners. This study analyzed the reasonableness of the efforts for mass digitization in libraries. The findings of the study were the duplication of searches on the 'Finding Copyright' website and the inquire to copyright trust management organizations by document, ambiguity of search criteria through information networks, and problems due to non-use of international standard identifiers in managing works on copyright register, works with undistributed compensation, and copyright trust management organizations. This study suggests that copyright trust management organizations should register trust works, the government should develop a guideline for detail guidance for searching information networks, and copyright works should be managed using international standard identifiers.

This study aims to look at overall adolescents' and college students' perceptions of library and explore the sources and their related variables as well as find out related issues of perceptions of library and information use of them. The data for this study were collected through survey and analyzed descriptive statistics and correlation analysis using the data. The result shows the population users preferred search engine so much over library as their information search tool even if they trust library information sources more, also, they tend to seek information sources when it has easiness and fastness to get. Correlation analysis such as ${\chi}^2$ and Spearman were implemented and the result of the correlation shows that many factors of this study covered-such as comparison of information sources-have significant differences each other.

Non-ideological information exchange and cooperation based on the scholarly and cultural fields would be the most effective project of south and north Korea for gaining the national homogeneity and trust in the long-term perspective. In this context, this study researched the measures on cultural exchange and cooperation between south and north through national libraries for the unified Korea. Related with that issue, this study analyzed function and limitation of national library in north Korea and evaluated library cooperation between south and north Korea in the frame of cultural cooperation project. So, this study suggested the stepwise model of the library cooperation between south and north based on the five practical measures including the cooperation governance system.

This paper provides suggestions for analyzing Cultural Objects Name Authority(CONA) developed by the Getty Trust and applying CONA to Functional Requirements for Subject Authority Data(FRSAD). CONA is linked with the other Getty controlled vocabularies such as AAT, ULAN, and TGN, and can be linked with the library controlled vocabularies, such as LCSH. However, CONA has differences with library models since CONA is based on the art museum or art gallery. Therefore, we need to consider it when we link CONA to library standard models. The results discussed in this study have implications for analyzing CONA which provides access for cultural objects and applying it to the FRSAD, the subject authority model in library fields.

The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting the sharing of research data of science and technology researchers. Data was collected through a survey of 198 science and technology researchers. Independent variables in this study included perception, openness in communication, collaboration, and trust. Latent variable was selected as reward system and dependent variable was research data sharing. The results of analysis of structural equation modeling showed that perception were found to have a positive impact on reward system for data sharing for research. Other factors such as trust, openness in communication and collaboration were not statistically significant in their affect on reward system for data sharing. Finally, reward system was identified as the influential factor on research data sharing.

The concept of the sharing economy, which has shifted the economic paradigm from possession to access to resources, is consistent with the traditional and current roles of public libraries. Thus, this research empirically analyzed the influence relationships between public library use and the sharing economy. Results showed that participation in public library programs serves as a motivational factor for satisfaction with and trust in the sharing economy, while the use of public library facilities and equipment is correlated with attitudes toward and participation in the sharing economy. The use of library collections positively influences sharing intangible resources such as knowledge, information, and personal experience. By contrast, checking out library resources negatively influences the recognition of economic benefits from sharing, which is contrary to claims of library communities. Based on these results, public libraries should aim to have a complementary effect on the sharing economy founded not only on information networks but also human networks grounded in social relationships.

Academic research libraries are seeking a long-term preservation plan for journals for cost-effective stewardship. The emergence of shared print archives has given the library community the opportunity to resolve the problem of the lack of library storage and build a collaborative long-term archiving plan for the print journals. The purpose of this study is to examine Western Regional Storage Trust(WEST), the largest print journal archiving program in North America, and identify their strategies for building a distributed, retrospective print repository service for journals. Based on the analysis, this article will discuss the development of new trends of collaborative library management in a digital age.
