스트레스 사건의 경험이 주의변화에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Stress Experience on Change of Attention)

  • For a man to maintain attention, he needs to keep a certain level of arousal. An inordinate increase or decrease in the level of arousal eventually has a negative influence on attention. Precedent research has shown that the degree of attention changes when an experience of stress is related to anxiety resulting in a rise in arousal. This research was done to examine this hypothesis by looking at the 27 female students, 14 of whom had failed in the annual examination. The results of the investigation are as follows : The stress of failure in the examination was seen to raise the level of physiological arousal. Although pulse and electromyography showed no significant change, further inquiries should be made based on other types of methodology. In spite of the rise of arousal, the performance of selective task was degraded. This suggests those students failed to give moderate attention to given information for that kind of task. But the exact reason of that failure was not identified : that is it was difficult decide whether they gave too much attention to the anxiety brought about by stress. Performance of integral tasks, however, did not show any degradation. Judging from these results, stress seems to exert significant influence on attention in the selection of the appropriate information among the various options given. This offers an important hint in relation to the health care situation where nursing information is offered. Clients who receive nursing information in stressful situations may have difficulty in separating and selecting this helpful information from other options which they have acquired through their life experience. The content and terminology of nursing information may be strange and unintelligible to clients, although they are quite familiar and distinct to nurses. So, it is desirable for nurses to give, in addition and at the same time when nursing information is given, some certain related information as devices for selection, instead of merely giving nursing informations as such. So far it is not clear whether the concepts of information processing theory can be suitably applied to nursing. However, it is obvious, according to this research, that the quality of attention is disturbed in the stress situation. This is why further inquiries should be made into attention in practical nursing situation.

기준점의 극단성과 문항 난이도가 기준점 효과에 미치는 영향 (The effect of anchor extremity and question difficulty on anchoring effect)

  • 선행 연구들에서는 그럴듯한 기준점이 극단적 기준점보다 더 큰 기준점 효과를 야기하는 반면, 주어진 문항과 관련된 개인의 지식수준이 높으면 기준점 효과가 작아진다고 보고하고 있다. 하지만 제시되는 기준점이 그럴듯한지 여부와 주어진 문항 자체의 난이도가 기준점 효과에 미치는 영향을 함께 살펴본 연구는 없었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기준점의 극단성과 문항의 난이도가 기준점 효과에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았으며, 이에 더해 응답 확신도와 기준점 효과의 관계도 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 예비 연구를 통해 쉬운 문항과 어려운 문항, 그럴듯한 기준점과 극단적인 기준점을 선정하였다. 본 실험은 '표준 기준점 실험 절차' 에 따라 진행되었다. 연구 결과, 기준점의 극단성과 문항의 난이도는 각각 기준점 효과에 영향을 미쳤으며 문항의 난이도는 응답 확신도에도 또한 영향을 미쳤다. 구체적으로, 그럴듯한 기준점을 제시했을 때와 어려운 문항을 제시했을 때에 기준점 효과가 크게 나타났다. 또한 자신의 수행에 대한 확신이 낮을수록 극단적인 기준점이 제시되었을 때 기준점의 영향을 크게 받았다. 이러한 결과는 기준점이 그럴듯한지와 문항의 난이도에 따라 기준점 효과의 크기와 확신 정도, 그리고 기준점 효과와 확신도 사이의 상관관계가 다르게 나타난다는 것을 보여준다. 본 연구의 결과는 기준점의 특성이나 개인의 상태에 따라 기준점 효과가 달라진다고 제안하는 기준점 효과에 관한 태도 변화 관점을 뒷받침한다.

중등 수학교사의 교과서 수학과제 이해 및 변형 능력 (Secondary Mathematics Teachers' Understanding and Modification of Mathematical Tasks in Textbooks)

  • 이 연구는 현직 중등 수학교사가 학생들이 교과서 수학 과제를 해결하는 데 요구되는 인지적 노력수준을 어떻게 이해하고, 그에 따라 과제들을 선별할 수 있는지를 살펴보는데 초점을 두고 있다. 또한 교사가 수학교과서의 Low Level 과제를 학생들의 수학적 사고력을 향상시키도록 High Level 과제로 변형할 수 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 수학 과제의 선별 및 변형에 관한 설문지를 제작하여 서울 및 경기 지역의 중 고등학교 수학 교사들에게 설문검사를 실시하였고 이를 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2007 개정 교육과정 목표 및 수업 목표 등을 성취하기 위해 수업에서 반드시 다루어야 할 과제로 High Level 과제를 선택한 교사의 비율은 59%였고, PNC과제를 High Level 과제로 보는 교사의 비율은 32%였다. 둘째, 교과서 Low Level 수학 과제를 높은 인지적 노력수준을 요구하는 과제로의 변형에 대하여, 아무런 변형도 하지 못한 교사의 비율은 56%였고 High Level 과제로 변형한 교사는 50명 중 4명뿐이었다. 이는 예비교사 뿐만아니라 현직교사의 경우도 Low Level 과제를 High Level 과제로 변형하는데 어려움을 느끼고 있음을 보여준다.

중국인 학습자의 한국어 종성 지각에 대한 종단 연구 (Perception of Korean coda consonants by Chinese learners of Korean: A one-year longitudinal study)

  • The purpose of this study aimed to examine the perceptual pattern of the Korean coda consonants by Chinese learners of Korean. Given that Mandarin allows only two nasals (/n, ŋ/) in the coda position, it was predicted that Chinese learners of Korean had difficulty in discriminating Korean coda consonants. In the experiment, the subjects were 21 beginner-level Chinese learners of Korean. They participated in the discrimination task four times a year in which they were asked to choose the right Korean coda consonants after listening the word from Korean native speakers. The results demonstrated that 1) Chinese learners of Korean improved their perception of the Korean coda consonants. 2) But Chinese learners of Korean performed differently according to the type of Korean coda consonants. Korean consonants /n, p, k, m/ showed significant differences, but /l, ŋ, t/ did not.

  • Many neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, are devastating disorders that affect millions of people worldwide. However, the number of therapeutic options remains severely limited with only symptomatic management therapies available. With the better understanding of the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases, discovery efforts for disease-modifying drugs have increased dramatically in recent years. However, the process of translating basic science discovery into novel therapies is still lagging behind for various reasons. The task of finding new effective drugs targeting central nervous system (CNS) has unique challenges due to blood-brain barrier (BBB). Furthermore, the relatively slow progress of neurodegenerative disorders create another level of difficulty, as clinical trials must be carried out for an extended period of time. This review is intended to provide molecular and cell biologists with working knowledge and resources on CNS drug discovery and development.

  • We suggest resource authorization system based on RBAC admitting someone to access resources. In existing grid environment, The authorization mechanism on user's resource is to give users an authority on the basis of DN(Distinguished Name) of proxy certificate and map file mapped in local system ID by one-to-one. In this case, it is difficulty in resource management such as each accounting management, memory resource, and disk resource, if the number of users, who want to use them is increased. To solve this problem, we specify the role of user's task in extension fields of his proxy certificate instead of the authorization mechanism of user's ID and propose resource authorization system being able to access his resource.

과학 탐구 평가표의 개발 (The Development of An Instrument for Evaluating Inquiry Activity in Science Curricula)

  • An inquiry approach in teaching science has been advocated by many science educators for the past few decades, and most elementary and secondary science curricula have incorporated it in varying degrees. It has been proven in recent studies, however, that there exists considerable discrepancy between the expectation of outcomes of the inquiry approach and the actuality. This in part implies that there is a somewhat urgent need for the systematic evaluation of the approach in teaching science. The purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive instrument for evaluating inquiry teaching approaches embedded in science curricular materials. To develop a more valid and reliable instrument a set of empirical data was used in the developmental procedure, and most of the previous studies regarding inquiry teaching method and inquiry evaluation were consulted. The inquiry evaluation method developed in this study, called the Scientific Inquiry Evaluation Inventory (SIEI), is composed of three parts: (1) analyzing and coding each science process task of inquiry activity; (2) evaluating each inquiry activity as a whole; and (3) evaluating each science laboratory curriculum as a whole. The first part of the instrument consists of twenty science process categories and thirty subcategories grouped into four sections: (1) gathering and organizing data; (2) interpreting and analyzing data; (3) synthesizing results and evaluation; and (4) hypothesizing and designing an experiment. The science process categories are arranged according to the level of difficulty, psychological level of thinking, degree of creativity demand, and the model of the process of scientific inquiry, which is also developed in the study. The second part of the instrument contains four evaluation scales of inquiry activity: (1) competition/cooperation scale; (2) discussion scale; (3) openness scale; and (4) inquiry scope scale. And the last part consists of three methods for evaluating a science laboratory curriculum as a whole: (1) inquiry pyramid; (2) inquiry index; and (3) difficulty index. The instrument is designed to be used by teachers, science curriculum developers and science education evaluators for the purpose of diagnosing the nature and appropriateness of scientific inquiry introduced in secondary science curricular materials, especailly in laboratory work and field work.

시설 거주노인 돌봄 제공자의 돌봄 로봇 및 기기 활용에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Use of Care Robots and Devices by Caregivers of Older Adults Residing in Facilities)

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct an exploratory and descriptive survey study design to examine 1) the physical difficulty by care task, 2) overall occupation-related physical burden by the characteristics of caregivers and care receivers, and 3) the level of help by the use of care robots and devices among formal caregivers working in facilities for older adults. In this study, 308 formal caregivers working in facilities were recruited from 8 nursing homes and 5 geriatric hospitals between Aug. 2021 and Sept. 2022 in South Korea. There were significant differences in ADLs between nursing homes and geriatric hospitals: eating, dressing, hygiene, transfer to bed, transfer to the toilet and walking. For each care item, the items the caregivers had the most difficulty ranked first were bathing, excretion assistance, and mobility support. The difference in occupation-related physical burden according to general characteristics was found to have statistically significant differences in female and bad perceived health. Among the 205 caregivers who had experience using care robots and devices, pressure ulcer prevention was the most experienced one, and those also were the most helpful and exercise aids were the least helpful. In order to reduce the physical burden on care providers, it is necessary to develop and introduce a care robots centered on the care site. Furthermore, national level public support systems are required to enable facilities to actively utilize care robots and devices.

럿거스 정보검색 평가 프로젝트에 관한 연구 (Rutgers Information Retrieval Evaluation Project on IR Performance on Different Precision Levels)

  • 이 논문의 주요목적은 정보이용자들이 어떤 수준의 정확률 차이에서 유의미하게 차이를 인지하는지를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 그에 관련한 몇 가지 흥미 있는 결과가 도출되었다. 그 외에 적합성 판정은 이용자의 판정시간과 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 주제에 대한 이용자의 배경지식과 적합성 판정의 관계가 두드러졌다. 또한, 적합 문서의 숫자가 적었을 때 이용자들은 적합성 판정에 더욱 어려움을 겪었다. 마지막으로, 검색결과리스트중 상위 N 문서의 적합성 판정에 대한 중요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

교원 성과급 제도에 대한 초등교사와 초등보건교사의 인식과 개선방안 (A Study on the Perception and Improvement Plans of Performance Based Pay System of Elementary School Teachers and Elementary School Health Teachers)

  • Purpose: The purpose is to provide basic information for establishing improvements on performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers. Methods: For subjects, 200 teachers at public elementary schools and 200 health teachers at public elementary schools in Gyeonggi-do were conveniently sampled, and then surveyed through a questionnaire. The questionnaire was to recognize recognition of teachers working under the teacher's performance-based pay system, which was quoted in the questionnaire of Choi ji-hye (2005) and Lee mi-gyeong (2008). Inquiry for the recognition of teachers on evaluation of health teacher's performance-based pay system and improvements on the performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers were used after consultation with five incumbent health teachers and a review with the thesis director. Results: The performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers has the same method with general teachers in schools, so it is not fair to evaluate the performance of health teachers. The ways to improve the performance-based pay evaluation method of health teachers is as follows: first, the approval on improving 'the number of class hours' which is a detailed item of a teacher's performance evaluation criterion to 'the number of health lesson hours per week and the number of students visiting the school infirmary per week'; second, improving 'life guidance' into 'counseling results of medically-treated students, parents of students and personal hygiene guidance'; third, improving 'a teacher in charge' into 'awarding of points by being recognized as a health teacher in charge of all students and considering the economic situation of the region,; forth, improving 'difficulty of position' into 'the number of health-teacher's annual promotion task items and the treatment number of issuing and receiving of official documents', and improving the 'task difficulty' into 'importance and urgency of emergency patient management, risk level and urgency of infectious diseases and avoiding work in charge' appeared to be more than 90% respectively. Conclusion: The performance-based pay system of teachers being carried out every year should be executed by preparing fair evaluation criteria suitable for task properties and the role of health teachers with different evaluation criteria compared to general teachers.
