  • The synchronized visual message system device of level crossing provides warning system with the use of developed corresponding technology when the train is approaching forward to limited distance in level crossing. To ensure of safety driving for coming transit from road, it detect the location and velocity of train and transport the information to wayside warning device to prevent the collision with train. This paper is about the detailed design of synchronize VMS for passing transit at the level crossing and develop the physical contents of level crossing VMS with expression words, operational device, massage transportation algorism which are based on the proto type study of communication method and information contents for level crossing VMS.

  • The development of Technology study for preventing of accident and reducing the risk through the intelligence of level crossing is provide the detection of stopped car at railway crossing with the most advanced intelligence technology such as sensor, computer, communication and date processing and transmit to the operational staff on broad for reaction or make the train stopped automatically through the connection with train. Also this study include that showing the situation of crossing railway when the train is approached and prevent the accident and reduce the risk through the connection of road transit signal system. On this study is performed the test through the date from spot level crossing and the development of video detection algorism for stopped road transit vehicle at level crossing with intelligent system.

  • The accidents in a railway level crossing where passengers or vehicles pass on the track went through by the train with a inherent high rate on incidents lead to a vast economic damage on people and material resources. So, many protection equipments are placed on the railway crossing to prevent those kind of accidents. But there is a limit to control driver's rough activity, passenger's careless or an intentional accident. This study is trying to ensure the safety in railway crossing by providing the information on train's speed and expected passing time on the railroad to a road traffic control system or car driver. Additionally, this system has been studying the railway level crossing system concerning ITS to support harmonious traffic flow.

  • Fixed distance control system at the railway level crossing have some problem. The problem is especially serious for high speed or low speed train. Therefore present developed device is fixed time control system. But fixed time control system haven't indicate device when train reach at the railway level crossing on alarm. This paper' result in study for train reach spare time indicate device.

Fast Time-Scale Modification of Speech Using Nonlinear Clipping Methods

  • Among the conventional time-scale modification (TSM) methods, the synchronized overlap and add (SOLA) method is widely used due to its good performance relative to computational complexity But the SOLA method remains complex due to its synchronization procedure using the normalized cross-correlation function. In this paper, we introduce a computationally efficient SOLA method utilizing 3 level center clipping method, as well as zero-crossing and level-crossing information. The result of subjective preference test indicates that the proposed method can reduce the computational complexity by over 80% compared with the conventional SOLA method without serious degradation of synthesized speech quality.

  • 기존의 건널목 지장물 검지장치는 선검지 방식으로 지장물을 검지하지 못하는 구간이 발생하며, 분산적인 기기설치로 인해 유지보수 비용 및 안전성 측면에서 문제가 되고 있다. 따라서 이러한 지장물 검지장치의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 레이저레이더 센서를 이용한 건널목 지장물 검지장치가 개발되었다. 본 논문에서는 개발된 레이저레이더 센서를 이용한 건널목 지장물 검지장치의 기능시험을 수행한 결과에 대해 설명하고 있다. 기능시험은 지장물 검지에 따른 센서부와 제어부의 정상작동 시험과 센서부와 제어부에 고장 발생 시 고장정보를 표시하는 시험으로 구성하여 수행하였다. 수행된 기능시험을 통해 레이저레이더 센서를 이용한 건널목 지장물 검지장치의 기능들이 모두 정상동작하는 것을 확인하였다.

철도건널목 사고 위험도-발생빈도 평가모델 개발 (Development of Risk-Appearance Frequency Evaluation Model for Railway Level-Crossing Accidents)

  • In this study, a risk-appearance frequency evaluation model for railway level-crossing accidents is developed with the frequency estimation based on the accident history. It follows the worldwide common safety management approach and reflects the operation conditions and accident properties of the domestic railway system. The risk appearance frequency evaluation process contains a development of accident scenarios by defining the system configurations and functions, and a frequency estimation of hazardous events based on the accident history. The developed model is verified with the accident history during 5 years('03-'07) for 3 hazardous events: 'Being trapped in level crossing(Hl)', 'Crossing during warning signal(H2)' and 'Breaking through/detouring the barrier(H3)'. This risk appearance frequency evaluation model will be combined with a consequence evaluation model so as to offer full risk assessment for the railway accident. The accident risk assessment will contribute to improving the safety management of the railway system.

고속 무선 전송을 위한 QPSK 복조기 FPGA 설계 (An FPGA Design of High-Speed QPSK Demodulator)

  • 본 논문에서는 QPSK 방식을 채용하는 고속 무선 전송 시스템에 적용될 수 있는 Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조기에 대해서, 복조기에 소요되는 알고리즘들을 고찰하고 이를 구현하기 위한 H/W구조에 대해서 언급한다. Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조기를 구현하기 위해서, 비트 동기를 포착하는 심볼 동기부와 반송파 동기를 포착하는 반송파 동기부가 구현되어야 하는데, 심볼 동기부로는 Gardner 알고리즘을, 반송파 동기부로는 빠른 반송파 포착을 위한 Decision-Directed 동기화 알고리즘을 적용하여 설계, 구현하였다. 설계한 QPSK복조기를 Altera 사의 Design Compiler를 이용하여 CPLD-FLEX10K 칩에 합성해 본 결과 약 2.6 Mbps의 전송속도까지 복조 가능하였다. 설계된 Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조기를 ASIC으로 구현할 경우 CPLD속도의 5∼6 이상 고속화가 가능하므로 약 10 Mbps급 Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조가 가능하다.

Effect of Various Leg-Crossing Positions on Muscle Activities of Rectus Femoris, Tensor Fascia Latae, and Hamstring in Healthy 20's Adults

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of leg-crossing positions on muscle activities of rectus femoris, tensor fascia latae, and hamstring in healthy 20's adults. Methods: Twenty healthy subjects were asked to perform three leg-crossing positions, leg crossing (LC), tailor crossing (TC), and ankle crossing (AC). Surface electromyography (EMG) was used to evaluate the activities of rectus femoris, tensor fascia latae, and hamstring during upright sit posture (UP) and three leg-crossing positions and UP was compared to three leg-crossing positions. Repeated one way ANOVA was used for data analysis. The alpha level was set at 0.05. Results: The results showed significant difference in the muscle activities of rectus femoris, tensor fascia latae, and hamstring among leg-crossing positions. The muscle activity of the rectus femoris was significantly lower in LC and TC positions than UP. The muscle activity of tensor fascia latae was significantly higher in LC position than UP and other leg-crossing positions. The muscle activity of hamstring was significantly higher in LC and TC positions and significantly lower in AC position than in UP. Conclusion: Our study suggests that the activity of hip muscles was affected by pelvic and knee alignment in various leg-crossing positions.

  • Zero-crossing analysis techniques have been applied to speech recognition. Zero-crossing rate, level-crossing rate and differentiated zero-crossing rate in time domain we used in analyzing speech signals. Speech samples could be stored in memory buffer in real time.
