정신분열병과 기분장애 환자의 언어적 기억능력과 기억과정의 특성에 대한 연구 (Verbal Memory Function and Characteristics of Memory Process in Schizophrenia and Affective Disorder)

  • Objectives:This study was to compare verbal memory ability among patients with schizophrenia, bipolar manic patients and unipolar depressive patients, and to understand their charicteristics of memory process. Methods:All subjects were hospitalized patients and had been interviewed by using the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV(SCID). Schizophrenic patients(N=40), bipolar manic patients(N=17), and unipolar depressive patients(N=20) were assessed with K-AVLT for verbal memory and with K-WAIS for verbal IQ. Three groups were compared regarding total immediate recall, delayed recall, delayed recognition, learning curve, memory retention, and retrieval efficiency under controlled verbal IQ. Multiple regression analysis was performed to find which clinical factors have an influence on verbal memory ability. Results:In MANCOVA, differences of verbal memory test scores among the groups were statistically significant(F=1.800, p<.05). In post hoc analysis, Patients with schizophrenia and bipolar mania showed poorer performance in immediate recall, delayed recall, delayed recognition, retrieval efficiency than unipolar depres- sive patients. And schizophrenics performed poorly in delayed recall, delayed recognition, retrieval efficiency than nonpsychotic affective disorder group, but no difference in total immediate recall, delayed recall, delayed recognition, retrieval efficiency between the schizophrenic group and the psychotic affective group. Conclusions:These results partially confirm previous reports of verbal memory ability among major psychiatric disorders. Our results showed that psychotic symptoms were related with verbal memory, and longer duration of illness was related with poorer performance in schizophrenia and unipolar depression.

Qualitative Content Analysis of Forest Healing Experience in Forest Life

  • Background and objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the case of healing experience for lifestyle and environmental diseases through life and activities in the forest from the perspecitive of critical realism, and how the causal power and mechanism of the healing experience relate to forest healing factors and programs. Methods: 93 video data of people who started living in the forest for disease treatment were analyzed using a qualitative content analysis method from the perspective of critical realism. Categories for analysis include general categories (age, duration, occupation, disease name), forest therapy categories (climate therapy, plant therapy, water therapy, diet therapy, kinesiotherapy, psychotherapy), and other categories (ecology, learning and management, life tools), etc., and the unit of analysis is the context unit. Results: 1) The diseases that motivated life in the forest were digestive system diseases, lung diseases, cardiovascular diseases, endocrine system diseases, and various lifestyle-related diseases and environmental diseases in similar proportions. This indicates that forest life does not have specificity to respond to specific diseases, but provides treatment and recovery for all lifestyle and environmental diseases. 2) Among the forest therapies, climate therapy and plant therapy are related to the climatic and residential environment in the forest where 'natural persons' live. And others such as water therapy, diet therapy, kinesiotherapy, psychotherapy indicate the change from the lifestyle that caused the disease to the lifestyle for treatment and recovery. Conclusion: Life and activities in the forest provide an environment for treatment and recovery in which the healing principles such as aromatherapy, nutritional and dietary therapy, kinesiotherapy, and emotional psychotherapy are integrated in the 'real world'.

Prediction of pollution loads in agricultural reservoirs using LSTM algorithm: case study of reservoirs in Nonsan City

  • The recurrent neural network (RNN) algorithm has been widely used in water-related research areas, such as water level predictions and water quality predictions, due to its excellent time series learning capabilities. However, studies on water quality predictions using RNN algorithms are limited because of the scarcity of water quality data. Therefore, most previous studies related to water quality predictions were based on monthly predictions. In this study, the quality of the water in a reservoir in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do Republic of Korea was predicted using the RNN-LSTM algorithm. The study was conducted after constructing data that could then be, linearly interpolated as daily data. In this study, we attempt to predict the water quality on the 7th, 15th, 30th, 45th and 60th days instead of making daily predictions of water quality factors. For daily predictions, linear interpolated daily water quality data and daily weather data (rainfall, average temperature, and average wind speed) were used. The results of predicting water quality concentrations (chemical oxygen demand [COD], dissolved oxygen [DO], suspended solid [SS], total nitrogen [T-N], total phosphorus [TP]) through the LSTM algorithm indicated that the predictive value was high on the 7th and 15th days. In the 30th day predictions, the COD and DO items showed R2 that exceeded 0.6 at all points, whereas the SS, T-N, and T-P items showed differences depending on the factor being assessed. In the 45th day predictions, it was found that the accuracy of all water quality predictions except for the DO item was sharply lowered.

Association between Changes in Daily Life during the COVID-19 Pandemic and Depressive Symptoms in Korean University Students

  • Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic, which emerged in late 2019, had a profound impact on global public health and disrupted the daily lives of people worldwide. Particularly, university students faced a challenging situation as their university life underwent a drastic transformation due to long-term remote learning and isolation measures. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between changes in daily life during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and depressive symptoms among university students aged between 19 and 29 in Korea. Methods: We analyzed data from the nationally representative 2020 Community Health Survey (CHS). Among the 229,269 participants, 9,279 university students aged 19-29, either enrolled or on leave, were selected. After excluding 401 cases with missing values, the final sample comprised 8,878 individuals. Using multivariate logistic regression with a complex sample design, we explored the association between daily life changes during the COVID-19 pandemic and depressive symptoms. Results: Changes in daily life during the COVID-19 pandemic was associated with depressive symptoms in Korean university students aged 19 to 29, even after adjusting for sociodemographic characteristics, health-related factors, and COVID-19-related aspects (OR=1.28, 95% CI=1.09~1.50). Conclusion: Our study suggests that when examining the impact of COVID-19 on health issues, it is crucial to consider the changes in daily life caused by the pandemic. These findings can provide insights into the psychological well-being of university students during times of crisis.

성역할 개념형성과 교육에 관한 이론적 연구 (A Theoretical Study on Sex Role Concepts and the Problems of Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the direction and strategy of education for sex role concepts of children on the basis of factor analysis of the present situation in sex role concepts and their formation. Although some maintain that sex role concept of our society has been changing slowly, the traditional sex role concept still dominates and is potentially immanent. the analysis of present condition of our society indicates that the formal as well as informal education are facing with various crucial problems in providing the direction of behavior demanded for carrying out the role. The close analysis of the three theories, psychoanalytic theory , social learning theory, cognitive development theory, lends a support to the laim of the study that cognitive development theory provide an integrated frame of reference for us to see the sex role education analytically Furthermore, the factors which are found to have influences on the formation of sex role have been analyzed in three areas: Family, School and society. 1)The factors in family such as parental behavior of upbringing and their concepts of sex role have a direct relationship with the nature of sex tole concept of children. Therefore, the first step to make children to habe a new type of sex-role conception appropriate for modern societies is to change that of parental conception and attitudes. 2)the quantitative as well as the qualitative aspects of school education showed no exceptional trend from the dominant conception of the society, although school are expected to lead the society as formal education institution rather than just reflect the society. The educational activities and contents such as the conceived goal of education for eoch sex, textbook constitation, teaching behavior and sex-role concepts of teacher are found to be still dominated by the traditional sex-role assumption. 3) The social factors that have direct relationship with children's sex-role formation are social and cultural, which include social milieu, condition of employment, family structure and mass-media. Since family and school do not educate the young in a social vacuum. their educational function of sex-role formation are doomed to be limited and determined by these social factors. Unfortunately, the analysis of present conditions showed the dominance of traditional types of sex-role concepts in all these social factors. The education of sex-role concept for children should be treated as one of the most crucial value problems related with many other important problems, such as direction and patterns of behaviors of each sex, the degree of self-development and capabilities, and consequently human right, equality, humanization and the quality of happiness. Neverthless, the analysis of researches on sex-role education which have been surveyed in this study lead to a conclusion that concerted effort to change the education, formal as well as informal should be provided in every aspect of social life. If the sex role education of the past has aimed at the "feminization"of girls which indoctrinate girls into a limited and fixed role of house wives, the new education in the future should be directed foward "humanization" of both sexes which opens the diversity of roles for both boys and girl on equal levels and provide future possibilities in accordance to their individual capabilities and interests.

한국 청소년의 학습동기에 영향을 미치는 사회문화적 요인 탐색 (Exploration of Socio-Cultural Factors Affecting Korean Adolescents' Motivation)

  • 학업성취와 관련된 청소년의 인지, 정서 및 행동 유형을 설명하는 대표적 학습동기 구인에는 자기효능감, 성취목표, 과제가치, 귀인 등이 있다. 이들 구인은 학습자의 연령, 성별, 소속국가 및 인종의 차이를 뛰어넘는 설명력과 예측력을 보임으로써 그 중요도와 일반성을 입증받고 있다. 한국 청소년의 학습동기 역시 이러한 일반적 양상과 큰 맥을 같이 한다. 그러나 이와 더불어 한국 고유의 사회, 문화, 심리적 환경에 의해 형성된 것으로 보이는 그들만의 독특한 학습동기 유형이 나타나기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 한국 청소년의 학습동기에 특히 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단되는 사회문화적 요인에는 어떤 것들이 있는지를 선행연구를 중심으로 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 문화적 요인으로는 상호의존적 자아이해, 효의 전통윤리 및 가족주의, 그리고 배움에 대한 가치가 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 요인으로는 교육열과 학력주의, 그리고 제도적 요인으로는 대학입시제도의 역할에 대해 논의하였다. 나아가 이들 사회문화적 요인에 의해 형성되며, 학생들의 학습동기에 보다 직접적인 영향을 행사하는 것으로 판단되는 심리적 학습환경 요인으로서 부모-자녀 관계, 교사-학생 관계 및 교실목표구조에 관한 선행연구 결과를 주요 학습동기 구인과의 관계를 중심으로 분석하고 논의하였다.

서울 지역 사회복지관련 기관에서의 미술치료 현황과 과제 (Status and Subject of Art Therapy in the Local Social Community in the Seoul Area)

  • 본 논문은 서울지역 사회복지관련 기관에서의 미술치료와 치료사 현황조사를 토대로 지역 사회복지관련 기관에서의 미술치료확대 가능성과 과제를 모색하고자 한다. 연구결과 보건 복지부가 제시한 사회복지시설 14종류 중 29기관이 설문대상으로 참여하였고, 45.1%가 미술치료를 시행하는 것으로 지역사회복지관련 기관에서 미술치료의 역할과 위치는 점차적으로 정착되는 결과를 보였다. 현재 미술치료를 실시하는데 있어 기관에서 어려움은 환경적 요인에 대한 문제와 미술치료사와 관련하여 전문 치료사의 확충으로 치료사 연계망와 보수가 주요인으로 조사되었다. 앞으로 지역사회복지관련 기관과 상호적 관계를 유지하며 지역사회 내에서 형성되는 의식과 집단화에 영향을 주어 삶의 질 향상과 지역사회복지를 통한 가치를 실현할 수 있는 기회제공에 미술치료를 좀 더 전문적이고 다양하게 확대, 적용하기 위해 첫 번째, 기관내에서의 미술치료실 환경 여건 개선 두 번째, 미술치료학계는 통합적인 연계 시스템을 구축하여 기관에서의 전문치료사의 확충의 어려움과 치료사들의 구직의 어려움을 해결하도록 기관과 치료사의 연결망 구성 세 번째, 치료사는 다양한 치료적 접근을 하기 위해 교육기간 동안 학문적인 연구와 함께 임상훈련과 감독강화, 전문치료사로서의 학문적인 연구와 임상연구의 발전을 연구 과제로 모색하였다.

고등학생들의 시스템 사고 측정을 위한 측정 도구 개발과 타당화 (An Instrument Development and Validation for Measuring High School Students' Systems Thinking)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 고등학생들의 시스템 사고 능력을 구성하는 하위 요인을 탐색하고, 시스템 사고 능력을 측정하기 위한 정량적인 검사도구의 개발과 타당화에 있다. 선행연구와 이론적 탐색을 통해 시스템 사고의 하위 요인을 시스템 사고, 정신모델, 공유비전, 개인숙련, 팀 학습으로 구성하였으며, 각 요인 당 6문항을 개발하여 전체 30문항의 5점 척도 예비문항을 작성하였고, 예비검사를 통해 20문항을 선정 본 검사를 구성하였다. 일반계 고등학생 260명을 대상으로 본 검사를 실시하였다. 예비검사 분석의 결과 제시된 5개 하위요인이 본 검사에서도 동일한 요인으로 분류되었다. 그리고 확인적 요인분석에서 5개 요인구조의 적합도를 분석해본 결과 수용할만한 모형으로 판단되었으며 적합도 수치도 모두 양호한 값을 보여주었다. 본 검사에서 사용한 20개 문항으로 구성된 고등학생들의 시스템 사고 측정 도구의 전체문항 신뢰도는 .840이었으며 각 하위 요인별 신뢰도는 .604~.723으로 신뢰로운 검사지로 나타났다. 이 연구가 더 낳은 성과를 얻기 위해서는 다양한 학교 급에 적용되도록 검사 도구를 표준화할 필요가 있으며 나아가 시스템 사고 수준에 따른 다양한 학습 프로그램의 개발 및 보급, 그리고 이 학생들에 대한 추후 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있다.

Discovery and validation of PURA as a transcription target of 20(S)-protopanaxadiol: Implications for the treatment of cognitive dysfunction

  • Background: 20(S)-protopanaxadiol (PPD), a ginsenoside metabolite, has prominent benefits for the central nervous system, especially in improving learning and memory. However, its transcriptional targets in brain tissue remain unknown. Methods: In this study, we first used mass spectrometry-based drug affinity responsive target stability (DARTS) to identify the potential proteins of ginsenosides and intersected them with the transcription factor library. Second, the transcription factor PURA was confirmed as a target of PPD by biolayer interferometry (BLI) and molecular docking. Next, the effect of PPD on the transcriptional levels of target genes of PURA in brain tissues was determined by qRT-PCR. Finally, bioinformatics analysis was used to analyze the potential biological features of these target proteins. Results: The results showed three overlapping transcription factors between the proteomics of DARTS and transcription factor library. BLI analysis further showed that PPD had a higher direct interaction with PURA than parent ginsenosides. Subsequently, BLI kinetic analysis, molecular docking, and mutations in key amino acids of PURA indicated that PPD specifically bound to PURA. The results of qRT-PCR showed that PPD could increase the transcription levels of PURA target genes in brain. Finally, bioinformatics analysis showed that these target proteins were involved in learning and memory function. Conclusion: The above-mentioned findings indicate that PURA is a transcription target of PPD in brain, and PPD upregulate the transcription levels of target genes related to cognitive dysfunction by binding PURA, which could provide a chemical and biological basis for the study of treating cognitive impairment by targeting PURA.

재직자의 교육 훈련특성이 조직몰입을 통해 학습 전이에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Education and Training Characteristics of Incumbent on Learning Transfer through Organizational Commitment)

  • 본 논문에서는 IT 기업 재직자의 교육 훈련특성과 교육 성과에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 빠르게 변화하는 시장환경에서 기업에게 인적자원은 시장 경쟁력확보의 중요한 요소로써 교육 훈련을 통해 재직자의 역량육성과 기업 성과를 도모하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 노력에도 불구하고 지속적으로 증가하는 퇴사율과 교육내용의 낮은 활용도로 기업들이 교육 훈련 투자를 망설이게 하고 있다. 이와 같은 이유로 인해 연구자들은 교육 훈련의 특성과 성과에 대해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있지만, 교육 훈련특성과 조직몰입의 하위 요소, 현장 활용에 대한 세분화 되어진 연구는 미비한 편이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교육 훈련특성 요인을 기존 연구를 통해 도출하고 조직몰입을 통해 실제적으로 재직자들이 업무 활용도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 보고자 한다. 그 결과 자기효능감은 조직몰입에 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났으며, 강사능력과 교육프로그램 적절성은 지속적 몰입과 정서적 몰입에 정(+)의 영향, 업무 관련성은 지속적 몰입과 정서적 몰입에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 규범적 몰입은 학습 전이에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 강사 능력과 교육프로그램에 대한 중요성을 높여야 한다는 의미로 보여지며, 교육 관련자들이나 관련 기업들에게 기초자료로 제공하고자 한다.
