고등학교 수학과 교육을 위한 CAI 프로그램 개발 연구 - 정적분을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development of Computer Assisted Instruction for the High School Mathematics Education)

  • In mathematics education, teaching-learning activity can be divided largely into the understanding the mathematical concepts, derivation of principles and laws acquirement of the mathematical abilities. We utilize various media, teaching tools, audio-visual materials, manufacturing materials for understanding mathematical concepts. But sometimes we cannot define or explain correctly the concepts as well as the derivation of principles and laws by these materials. In order to solve the problem we can use the computer. In this paper, ′the process of the length of curve being equal to the sum of the vectors when intervals get smaller′ and ′the process of calculating volume of spinning curve by using definite integral.′ Using the computers is more visible than other educational instruments like blackboards, O.H.Ps., etc. Also it can help students with solving mathematical problems intuitively. Consequently more effective teaching-learning activity can be done. Usage of computers is the best method for improving the mathematical abilities because computers have functions of the immediate reaction, operation, reference and deduction. One of the important characters of mathematics is accuracy, so we use computers for improving mathematical abilities. This paper is about the program focused on the part of "the application of definite integral", which exists in mathematical curriculum the second and third grade of high school. When this study is used for students as assisting materials, it is expected the following educational effect. 1. Students will have precise concepts because they can understand what they learn intuitively. 2. Students will have positive thought by arousing interests of learning because this program is composed of pictures, animations with effectiveness of sound. 3. It is possible to change the teacher-centered instruction into the student-centered instruction. 4. Students will understand the relation between velocity and distance correctly because they can see the process of getting the length of curve by vector through the monitor. For the purpose of increasing the efficiencies and qualities of mathematics education, we have to seek the various learning-teaching methods. But considering that no computer can replace the teacher′s role, teachers have to use the CIA program carefully.

The Effect of Gesture-Command Pairing Condition on Learnability when Interacting with TV

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate learnability of gestures-commands pair when people use gestures to control a device. Background: In vision-based gesture recognition system, selecting gesture-command pairing is critical for its usability in learning. Subjective preference and its agreement score, used in previous study(Lim et al., 2012) was used to group four gesture-command pairings. To quantify the learnability, two learning models, average time model and marginal time model, were used. Method: Two sets of eight gestures, total sixteen gestures were listed by agreement score and preference data. Fourteen participants divided into two groups, memorized each set of gesture-command pair and performed gesture. For a given command, time to recall the paired gesture was collected. Results: The average recall time for initial trials were differed by preference and agreement score as well as the learning rate R driven by the two learning models. Conclusion: Preference rate agreement score showed influence on learning of gesture-command pairs. Application: This study could be applied to any device considered to adopt gesture interaction system for device control.

청소년의 휴대전화의존도, 우울의 변화 궤적 및 자기조절학습 능력 간의 구조적 관계 (The structural relationships among adolescents'mobile phone dependency, trajectories of depression, and self-regulated learning abilities)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the longitudinal relationships between Korean adolescents'mobile phone dependency, trajectories of depression, and self-regulated learning abilities. To achieve these goals, structural equation modeling analysis was conducted, using the 3rd, 5th and 7th wave of the data on 4th graders taken from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey. The results can be summarized as follows. First, growth-curve longitudinal analysis indicates that depression in 6th through 10th grade has increased. Second, mobile phone dependency among adolescents at 6th grade has a significant effect on both the initial value and the rate of change in depression. Also, the initial value and the rate of change in depression have significant relationships with mobile phone dependency at 10th grade. Moreover, both increased levels of mobile phone dependency and the rate of change in depression significantly influence adolescents'self-regulated learning abilities at 10th grade. Based on a longitudinal data set, these findings demonstrate the causal relationships between Korean adolescents'trajectories of depression and their mobile phone dependency. The findings also provide a comprehensive framework with implications for adolescents'development through an understanding of the relationships between adolescents'depression and mobile phone dependency, which impact their self-regulated learning abilities.

  • Nowadays the concern about development and diffusion strategies of new & renewable energy and its technologies is getting higher globally as Kyoto Protocol has taken effect this year and oil has been rising in price tremendously. Developed countries have already commenced the study and research for this problem and are looking for various solutions. In this paper, environment of new & renewable energy in Korea is analyzed and estimated using the learning curve, which has been powerfully used for analyses of end-use equipments' characteristics in existing studies, as a pre-study for proposing appropriate strategies and feasible methods. The sample study shows how prices of facilities affect on the penetration of new & renewable energy.

Biot의 원뿔곡선에 관한 conjecture의 재해석 (Reinterpretation of the Biot's conjecture on conics)

  • In this study, we investigate the latus rectum, one of the geometric measures of the conics, as one of the ways in which learners harmonize the geometric and algebraic approaches to conics from a pedagogical point of view. We also introduce the conical curve of Biot as presented in 'The Discourse on the Latus Rectum in conics(2013)' by Takeshi Sugimoto and reinterpret it for visualization and use as teaching material. Therefore, we expect that the importance of mathematical concepts will be recognized in conics and students can experience geometry learning that is explored in the school field and have a positive effect in developing the power to apply even in the context of applied problems.

IT 기업의 전유 메커니즘 효과성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effectiveness of the Appropriability Mechanism of IT Companies)

  • 기술의 발전과 융복합화가 진행되면서 전유 메커니즘에 대한 기업들의 관심이 나날이 증가를 하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 IT기업의 전유 메커니즘 효과성에 대해 파악을 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구 검토와 전문가를 통해 최종적으로 7개의 전유 메커니즘을 도출하고 이를 실증분석하였다. 분석결과, SW기업에서는 리드타임, 특허, 영업비밀, 보완적 판매 및 서비스, 디자인 등록, 보완적 제조, 학습곡선효과 순으로 그 중요도가 나타났다. HW 기업에서는 특허, 영업비밀, 리드타임, 디자인 등록, 보완적 판매 및 서비스, 학습곡선효과, 보완적 제조 순으로 그 중요도가 나타났다. 또한 공통적으로 특허, 영업비밀, 리드타임이 중요한 요인으로 선정이 되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 기업에서 전유 메커니즘 전략을 수립하는데 있어 유용한 가이드라인으로 활용이 가능할 것으로 보인다.

로봇학습에 기반한 제니보 프로그램이 유아의 정서발달에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Genibo Program Based Robot Learning on a Pre-Schoolers' Emotional Development)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 로봇학습에 기반한 제니보 프로그램이 유아의 정서에 미치는 효과를 밝히는 데 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 Y시 소재 유치원 2개 학급(교사 2명, 유아 44명)을 각각 실험집단과 비교집단으로 나눈 후, 실험집단을 대상으로 제니보를 이용하여, 5개의 메인메뉴로 구성된 20개의 하위 콘텐츠를 적용하였다. 두 집단을 대상으로 정서지능 평가검사를 사전 사후로 실시한 후, SPSS 18.0 통계분석프로그램을 이용한 t-검증과 관찰이 이루어졌다. 연구결과 첫째, 제니보는 유아의 정서에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 정서지능의 4가지 영역(정서인식 및 표현, 사고 촉진, 지식의 활용, 반영적 조절)에서 모두 유의미한 변화를 보였다. 둘째, 생체모방형 로봇은 동물이 수업에 친근하게 사용되는 것과 같이 유아에게 친근하게 다가갈 수 있었다. 셋째, 남아가 여아보다 로봇을 선호하는 경향이 강하다는 기존의 연구들과는 달리 제니보는 남녀유아 모두의 정서에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아를 위한 새로운 교육방법으로서 로봇의 도입을 긍정적으로 검토를 할 수 있고, 친숙한 동물형태의 생체모방형 로봇이 효과적으로 활용될 수 있으며, 로봇의 활용은 유아의 성별보다 개인적인 성향과 발달수준 등에 의해 고려되어야 함을 시사한다.

Comparison of Intracorporeal Reconstruction after Laparoscopic Distal Gastrectomy with Extracorporeal Reconstruction in the View of Learning Curve

  • Purpose: The intracorporeal reconstruction after laparoscopic gastrectomy can minimize postoperative pain, and give better cosmetic effect, while it may have technical difficulties and require the learning curve. This study aimed to analyze the surgical outcome of intracorporeal reconstruction according to the surgeon's experience comparing with extracorporeal procedure. Materials and Methods: From January 2009 to September 2011, intracorporeal reconstruction in laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer was performed for 71 patients (Intra group). During same period, 231 patients underwent laparoscopy-assisted gastrectomy (Extra group). These patients were classified into initial (1st to 20th case of intra group), intermediate (21th to 46th case), and experienced (after 47th case) phases. Results: Intracorporeal procedures included 35 cases of Billroth-I, 30 Billroth-II and 6 Roux en Y reconstructions. In the initial phase, operation time (P=0.022) were significantly longer for the patients of intra group than them of extra group. Although the difference was not significant, the length of hospital stay was longer and complication rate was higher in the intra group. In intermediate and experienced phases, there was no difference between two groups in operation time and hospital stay. In these phases, complication rate was lower in the intra group than the extra group (3.9% versus 9.7%). The pain scale was significantly lower post operation day 5 in the intra group. Conclusions: Intracorporeal reconstruction after laparoscopic distal gastrectomy was feasible and safe, and the technique was stabilized after 20th case if the surgeon has sufficient experiences when we compared it with extracorporeal reconstruction.

Human Detection using Real-virtual Augmented Dataset

  • This paper presents a study on how augmenting semi-synthetic image data improves the performance of human detection algorithms. In the field of object detection, securing a high-quality data set plays the most important role in training deep learning algorithms. Recently, the acquisition of real image data has become time consuming and expensive; therefore, research using synthesized data has been conducted. Synthetic data haves the advantage of being able to generate a vast amount of data and accurately label it. However, the utility of synthetic data in human detection has not yet been demonstrated. Therefore, we use You Only Look Once (YOLO), the object detection algorithm most commonly used, to experimentally analyze the effect of synthetic data augmentation on human detection performance. As a result of training YOLO using the Penn-Fudan dataset, it was shown that the YOLO network model trained on a dataset augmented with synthetic data provided high-performance results in terms of the Precision-Recall Curve and F1-Confidence Curve.

중학교에서 고3까지의 자아존중감, 진로정체감, 학습활동과 삶의 만족도 관계연구: 4년간의 변화를 중심으로 (Adolescent Self-esteem, Career Identity, School Learning Activity and Life Satisfaction Change: From Middle School to High School)

  • 본 연구는 잠재성장모형(LGM) 분석을 활용하여 후기 청소년기 삶의 만족도의 변화모형을 도출하고 자아존중감, 진로정체감과 학습활동, 성별, 가구소득이 청소년들의 삶의 만족도 변화에 미치는 영향을 연구하여 후기 청소년들의 삶의 만족도를 향상시키는 방안의 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다. 연구대상들은 한국청소년패널조사(KYCPS)의 중1 패널 3차년부터 6차년도 자료를 활용했다. 연구분석 결과, 첫째, 중학교 3학년에서 고등학교 3학년까지의 삶의 만족도 변화모형은 감소하다가 다시 증가하는 2차 함수가 가장 적합한 모형으로 도출되었으며 초기치와 변화율 모두에 개인별 차가 유의미하게 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년 삶의 만족도변화에 영향을 주는 시간의존적인 독립변수로는 학습활동이 모든 학년마다 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 드러났다. 셋째, 청소년들의 삶의 만족도변화에 영향을 미치는 시간독립적인 독립변수들로는 성별과 자아존중감이 초기치가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 자아존중감은 1차변화율과 2차 변화율에도 지속적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 연구결과에 따른 후기청소년 삶의 만족도에 대한 개입과 함께 실천적 함의에 대한 제안과 과제가 제시되었다.
