Lightning arresters are deteriorated by repetition of protective operation against overvoltages or impulse currents in environments of its use. If a deteriorated arrester is left in power lines, it can lead to an accident such as a line to ground fault even in a normal system. Therefore, it is necessary to eliminate the deteriorated arrester in advance by checking the soundness of arresters on a regular basis, and to ensure the reliability of power systems by preventing accidents. Various deterioration diagnostic techniques and devices are suggested, and most of which measure leakage current components as an indicator of arrester ageing. However, the techniques based on the magnitude of leakage current measure simply RMS or peak value of leakage current components and do not provide detailed information needed in the diagnosis. In this study, we found that the wave height distributions of the total leakage currents are remarkably changed or a new wave height are produced with the progress of arrester deterioration. To propose a new technique for the diagnosis, we designed a leakage current detection unit and an analysis program which can measure leakage current magnitudes and analyze wave height distributions. From the experimental results, we confirmed that the proposed technique by analyzing the wave height distribution can simply diagnose the mode of defects such as a partial damage and an existence of punctures in arresters as well as deterioration of arresters.
Although cerebrospinal fluid leakage is suggested as one of the causes of spontaneous intracranial hypotension, only a few cases with direct evidence of cerebrospinal fluid leakage on radionuclide cisternography have been reported in the literature. Indirect evidences of cerebrospinal fluid leakage such as early visualization of the soft tissue and bladder or delayed migration of radiotracer have been observed in most patients with spontaneous intracranial hypotension. We report a case of spontaneous intracranial hypotension in which cerebrospinal fluid leakage was directly demonstrated by early dynamic imaging of spine on radionuclide cisternography. We suggest that early dynamic imaging of spine is an important adjunctive procedure in detecting cerebrospinal fluid leakage in patients with spontaneous intracranial hypotension.
The high pressure vessels that are constructed by welding process have many welding lines and most of the leakage defects are occurred on these welding lines. The acoustic emission(AE) technique has adopted to detect the defect location and leakage on welding parts, but the AE signal in leakage are incomplete due to the attenuation, reiteration, instability and limit of defect size. To overcome these troubles, the experiments in this study are conducted to measure the indirect media-propagated AE signal perpendicular to the leakage hole. The AE signals that are acquired from the direct and indirect media are analyzed, and the reliability of the indirect media-propagated AE signal are examined experimentally. By AE signal investigation, this method can be adopted to detect efficiently the leakage in welding parts.
A large number of wire rope has been used in various industries such as cranes and elevators. When wire used for a long time, wire defects occur such as disconnection and wear. It leads to an accident and damage to life and property. To prevent this accident, we proposed a wire rope fault detection system in this paper. We constructed the whole system choosing the leakage fault detection method using hall sensors and the method is simple and easy maintenance characteristics. Fault diagnosis and analysis were available through analog filter and amplification process. The amplified signal is transmitted to the computer through the data acquisition system. This signal could be obtained improved results through the digital filter process.
Background: To prevent small leakage accidents, a real-time and direct detection system for small leaks with a detection limit below that of existing systems, e.g. $0.5gpm{\cdot}hr^{-1}$, is required. In this study, a small-size beta detector, which can be installed inside the reactor containment (CT) building and detect small leaks directly, was suggested and its feasibility was evaluated using MCNPX simulation. Materials and Methods: A target nuclide was selected through analysis of radiation from radionuclides in the reactor coolant system (RCS) and the spectrum was obtained via a silicon detector simulated in MCNPX. A window was designed to reduce the background signal caused by other nuclides. The sensitivity of the detector was also estimated, and its shielding designed for installation inside the reactor CT. Results and Discussion: The beta and gamma spectrum of the silicon detector showed a negligible gamma signal but it also contained an undesired peak at 0.22 MeV due to other nuclides, not the $^{16}N$ target nuclide. Window to remove the peak was derived as 0.4 mm for beryllium. The sensitivity of silicon beta detector with a beryllium window of 1.7 mm thickness was derived as $5.172{\times}10^{-6}{\mu}Ci{\cdot}cc^{-1}$. In addition, the specification of the shielding was evaluated through simulations, and the results showed that the integrity of the silicon detector can be maintained with lead shielding of 3 cm (<15 kg). This is a very small amount compared to the specifications of the lead shielding (600 kg) required for installation of $^{16}N$ gamma detector in inside reactor CT, it was determined that beta detector would have a distinct advantage in terms of miniaturization. Conclusion: The feasibility of the beta detector was evaluated for installation inside the reactor CT to detect small leaks below $0.5gpm{\cdot}hr^{-1}$. In future, the design will be optimized on specific data.
In this paper, in order to reduce the electrical disaster such as electrical fire at traditional markets, we need to develop the circuit breaker which is able to monitor the power status of electrical equipments. Therefore, for solving the those problems, we developed the detection censor(ZCT, CT) and equipment of data analysis and transmission. The detection censor and equipment is able to monitor the electrical equipments condition(over current, leakage current, arc, etc.). We constructed Test-Bed for testing reliability of the circuit breaker and obtained certification. And we tested the over current, leakage current and arc under the normal condition. This paper will be used to the data for development an cabinet panel which is able to monitor the actual loads.
In this paper, we developed a framework to detect and predict insider information leakage by collecting and restoring network traffic. For automated behavior analysis, many meta information and behavior information obtained using network traffic collection are used as machine learning features. By these features, we created and learned behavior model, network model and protocol-specific models. In addition, the ensemble model was developed by digitizing and summing the results of various models. We developed a function to present information leakage candidates and view meta information and behavior information from various perspectives using the visual analysis. This supports to rule-based threat detection and machine learning based threat detection. In the future, we plan to make an ensemble model that applies a regression model to the results of the models, and plan to develop a model with deep learning technology.
