  • Although cerebrospinal fluid leakage is suggested as one of the causes of spontaneous intracranial hypotension, only a few cases with direct evidence of cerebrospinal fluid leakage on radionuclide cisternography have been reported in the literature. Indirect evidences of cerebrospinal fluid leakage such as early visualization of the soft tissue and bladder or delayed migration of radiotracer have been observed in most patients with spontaneous intracranial hypotension. We report a case of spontaneous intracranial hypotension in which cerebrospinal fluid leakage was directly demonstrated by early dynamic imaging of spine on radionuclide cisternography. We suggest that early dynamic imaging of spine is an important adjunctive procedure in detecting cerebrospinal fluid leakage in patients with spontaneous intracranial hypotension.

공기압실린더의 누설유량 계측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement Method of Leakage for Pneumatic Cylinder)

  • In this study, a measurement method of leakage flow-rate for pneumatic driving apparatus is proposed. The existing measurement methods of leakage flow-rate of air need disassemble the test component. Therefore, there is no effective method to measure the leakage flow-rate while operating pneumatic driving apparatus. In this study, the leakage flow-rate is measured from the pressure change in an isothermal chamber that can realize isothermal conditions by stuffing the steel wool into it. Therefore, a wide range of flow-rate could be measured only from the pressure response and the leakage flow-rate can be measured during operating pneumatic driving apparatus. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by experimental results.

3차원 CFD를 사용한 환상 실의 누설량 예측 (Prediction of Annular Type Seal Leakage Using 3D CFD)

  • Precise leakage prediction for annular type seals of turbomachinery is necessary for enhancing their efficiency and various prediction methods have been developed. As the seal passage is designed intricately, the analysis based on Bulk-flow concept which has been mainly used in predicting seal leakage is limited. In order to improve the seal leakage prediction, full Navier-Stokes Equations with turbulent model derived in the seal flow passage have to be solved. In this study, 3D CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis has been performed for predicting leakage of various non-contact type anular seals using FLUENT. Compared to the results by Bulk-flow model analysis, experiment, and 2D CFD analysis, the result of 3D CFD analysis shows improvement in predicting seal leakage, especially for the parallel grooved pump seal.

  • In this study, the correlation between leakage currents and temperature rise was investigated for the more accurate diagnosis of bad insulator by use of the infrared camera. For the purpose, leakage currents and thermal images were measured for the artificially aged insulators using salt fog. From the results, it is concluded as follows ; in case of artificially aged insulators, the leakage. current was decreased with the duration of voltage application and was largely affected by humidity, which seems due to ionic conduction. Also, the correlation between temperature rise and leakage current was appeared to be quite linear, although it showed below linearity at large leakage current.

  • Leakage vortices formed new blade tip causes an increase of total pressure loss near the casing endwall region and as a result, the efficiency of rotor decreases. The reduction of rotor efficiency is related to the size of the tip clearance. In this study, the three-dimensional flowfields in an axial flow rotor were calculated by varying the tip clearance under various flow rates, and the numerical results were compared with experimental ones. The effects of tip clearance and attack angle on the leakage vortex and overall performance, and the loss distributions were investigated through numerical calculations. In this study, tip leakage flow rate and total pressure loss by tip clearance were evaluated using numerical results and approximate equations were presented to evaluate the reduction of rotor efficiency by tip leakage flow.

스크롤 압축기 누설 모델의 CFD 해와의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of Leakage Flow Models for Scroll Compressors with CFD Solutions)

  • The present paper studies the leakage flow model used in the performance prediction of a scroll compressor. Two leakage flow models, isentropic and Fanno flow model, are studied in detail. Their predictions are also compared with CFD solutions to check the validity as a leakage flow model. Comparison with CFD solutions shows that the isentropic flow model predicts excessive leakage flow rate, while the Fanno flow model shows acceptable agreement with CFD solutions. The excessive leakage flow rate by isentropic flow model results in under-prediction of the overall performance of a scroll compressor.

  • Three-dimensional vortical flow and separated flow topology near the casing wall in an axial flow fan having two different tip clearances have been investigated by a Reynolds-averaged Wavier-Stokes (RANS) flow simulation. The simulation shows that the tip leakage vortex formed close to the leading edge of the blade tip on suction side grows in the streamwise direction. On the casing wall, a separation line is formed upstream of the leakage vortex center due to the interference between the leakage vortex and main flow. The reverse flow is observed between the separation line and the attachment line generated downstream of the trailing edge, and increased with enlarging tip clearance. The patterns of a leakage velocity vector including a leakage flow rate are also analyzed according to two tip clearances. It is noted that the understanding of the distribution of a limiting streamline on the casing wall is very important to grasp the characteristics of the vortical flow in the axial flow fan.

  • Regenerative blower is suitable for hydrogen recirculation in fuel cell vehicle due to its capability of high pressure rise in single stage. Numerical models were applied to investigate inner gap leakage flow characteristics. A leakage flow in the inner gap is dominantly affected by pressure gradient. Therefore a blower with concentric channel type was suggested as one of modified models for reducing the inner gap pressure gradient. Also numerical results such as pressure rise, efficiency, leakage flow rate and torque were compared between modified and reference models. The performance of concentric channel type was improved as a result of reduced leakage flow.

  • In this paper, we design and implement PADIL(Prediction And Detection of Information Leakage) system that predicts and detect information leakage behavior of insider by analyzing network traffic and applying a variety of machine learning methods. we defined the five-level information leakage model(Reconnaissance, Scanning, Access and Escalation, Exfiltration, Obfuscation) by referring to the cyber kill-chain model. In order to perform the machine learning for detecting information leakage, PADIL system extracts various features by analyzing the network traffic and extracts the behavioral features by comparing it with the personal profile information and extracts information leakage level features. We tested various machine learning methods and as a result, the DecisionTree algorithm showed excellent performance in information leakage detection and we showed that performance can be further improved by fine feature selection.
