  • This projects was carried out under the assumption that an appealing leadership program would lead to students' increased leadership abilities. This leadership program is comprised of 16 materials based on seven factors of leadership for the gifted and talented. More than 46% of the gifted and talented have a positive response to leadership program, and some of these gifted and talented students (14.7%) reacted negatively. According to the result of the T-Test, a survey about leadership of gifted and talented, there are meaningful differences between before and after implementing this leadership program (p<.01). Especially, the leadership quality of the gifted and talented improved effectively in communication skills(p<.01), individualized considerations(p<.01), and interpersonal skills(p<.05). But there aren't statistical differences between the primary school students and the middle school students except leadership total score(p<.05) and communication skills(p<.01). Comprehensively, the primary school students scored slightly higher than did middle school students on the seven factors of leadership. So, we need an effective guide in planning a leadership program for middle school students.

  • Flight safety in modern commercial aircraft depends on the ability of pilots to manage overall flight operations. ICAO has made it mandatory for airlines to adhere to Crew Resource Management(CRM) policies to reduce operational safety threats. CRM is a set of techniques designed to effectively manage the human resources, aircraft, and environmental factors in order to promote safety and enhance efficient air operations. When looking at the career backgrounds of new pilots joining the Republic of Korea's commercial airlines, discharged military fighter pilots represent the largest demographic. Fighter pilots are experienced in empowering leadership and directive leadership from their military training and culture. New commercial airline pilots with military fighter pilot training should effectively acquire the required civil aviation CRM skills. The present study has been carried out to determine how the leadership experience of this demographic affects the acquisition of CRM skills for commercial airlines, and it confirms that there is a positive correlation.

  • In this paper, we proposed leadership development instruction program for liberal arts class to develop university students' leadership skill using Flipped Learning methodology, and showed the results which were obtained from classes where we applied the program. Leadership ranks high in the skills of those employed by businesses. But it is not easy to develop and exercise leadership. There are many leadership classes for students in Universities, they focus on theoretic, not practical aspects. Flipped Learning could be an efficient instruction learning tool to develop leadership, and has gained much interest lately due to its process involving prior study(pre-class) followed by the students' classroom involvement(in-class). Most of the students taking a course recognize improvement of their leadership skill and have positive results by the proposed program.

In particular, by conducting Q methodological analysis on the subjectivity of the total chef's leadership type recognized by hotel chefs in vertical command systems according to the nature of the work in the hotel company. The analysis of leadership types showed that Type 1 (N=4): both transformative and servent leadership is a combination of preferences or non-preferences, Type 2 (N=4): transformative leadership preference, Type 3 (N=3): both transformative and non-preferred leadership. The leadership of the executive chef, recognized by hotel chefs, is believed to prefer leadership that is considered for individual situations that match each other's experiences and work skills (ability values) rather than uniform leadership such as transformational or servent leadership. Along with the theoretical discussion of Q methodology, the leadership type is explained, and based on the subjectivity research analysis method of Q analysis, the subjectivity of hotel chefs will be identified in various ways and new leadership will be presented.

  • This study aims to address the prevailing skepticism that conventional leadership models are not effective in the Middle East. With the same logic, selecting leaders is a confusing task in the Middle East due to the haphazardness surrounding this task and the lack of clarity of appropriate selection criteria. This study employs samples of leadership theories and frameworks that were scrutinized to classify specific leadership dimensions. The triangular model stemmed from the previous studies that addressed Leadership in general and the Leadership model for the Middle East. With the use of the literature review methodologies and historical analysis, the leadership model's description will be demonstrated. The results revealed that there are various dimensions of Leadership, especially concerning the Middle East's organizational environment. The findings of this study suggested a new model which assists in clarifying the issue by setting a group of 10 personality traits with eight behavioral skills and social status. Implications of this study enable making Leadership easier in practice. Furthermore, this will enable recognition of Leadership according to specific criteria, which will help make greater equality and empowerment at all levels of the system. This research localizes Leadership and paves the way to automate leaders' selection process with a guarantee of fairness among candidates.
