  • This triangulation study was performed in order to analyze the team competency effect of a capstone design nursing research course, and to appraise the content of team activity experiences. Subjects were 99 nursing students who were educated in the capstone design nursing research at D university. The teamwork competency of nursing students was compared before and after class, and the team activity experiences in the capstone design nursing research class was analyzed through narrative data. Our results show significant increases after class in task performance competency (t=-2.166, p=0.033), which includes goal execution competency (t=-2,224, p=0.028). In the interpersonal competency category, leadership was significantly increased after class (t=-2.085, p=0.040). The 5 categories evaluated were 'difficulties in managing resources', 'aware of the importance of personal effort and competency', 'efforts to effectively distribute roles', 'to realize the importance of communication', and 'strengthen the competency needed for clinical practice'. Through this research, we confirm that the capstone design nursing research course is effective for improving teamwork competency, and it provides a positive team activity experience to nursing students. Taken together, our findings indicate that the capstone design nursing research course can be applied to improve the nursing research competency by strengthening teamwork competency.

  • This study was performed in order to provide suggestions on how to strengthen librarian competency by evaluating and analyzing the competency value of librarians as information professions. First, the study divided the common competency value of librarians as human capital of libraries into skills, knowledge, behavior and attitude, and analyzed each area of competency value for librarians of the A-library. As a result, the average of the 'librarian's behavior and attitude' area was the highest, followed by the 'librarian's skill' area and the 'librarian's knowledge' area. Second, in terms of 'librarian's skill', A-library librarians' competence values were high in the order of 'communication', 'leadership', 'technology' and in the terms of 'librarian's knowledge' ones were high in the order of 'law and policy', 'marketing', 'learning and growth' and 'finance and accounting'. In addition, in areas of 'librarian's behavior and attitude', the factors were high in the order of 'ethics and values', 'interpersonal relationships' and 'customer service'. Third, the analysis of whether the average difference exists depending on the characteristics of A-library librarians on their evaluation of the competency value shows that only the 'working period' factor in the total competency value and the two factors 'age' and 'working period' were statistically significant in the 'librarian's knowledge' area. Forth, as a result of a regression analysis to identify the characteristics of A-library librarians and their impact on competency value, only the 'final education' factor was statistically significant for the competency value of the 'librarian's skill' area. Fifth, in the survey on problems and desirable improvement measures in increasing the competency value of librarians, the proportion of presenting problems and improvement plan in systemic aspects such as the 'librarian qualification system' and 'librarian training system' was high.

To address this goal, Major factors related to learning agility were derived through literature review and statistically verified. For statistical analysis, the nationwide data were collected from 1,000 undergraduate students in South Korea by National Youth Policy Institute. The participants asked to answer 29 items of learning agility questionnaires (LAQ). The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, learning agility items were verified normality and reliability. Learning agility was identified seven factors; challenging mind, learning responsibility, reflecting experience, intellectual curiosity, systemic thinking, change adaptability, and logical thinking. Also, the structural model fit of the seven factors of learning agility was also confirmed to be good. Based on the findings of the present study, empirical, theoretical, and practical contributions were presented, and suggestions for further research were proposed in detail.
