WTO농산물협정의 주요내용과 한국의 대응방안 (A Study on the Regulation of WTO in Agriculture and its Import Management of Korea)

  • WTO체제하에서는 관세 및 관세상당액의 감축이행이라는 제약으로 농산물 수입제한정책의 탄력적 활용의 폭이 매우 좁다. 따라서 국내농엽여건을 감안하여 효율적인 관세인하 및 관세상당액의 감축과 WTO 규범을 적극 활용하여 관세화에 다른 부작용을 최소화하는 방향으로 수입관리 대책을 수립해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 WTO에서 농산물에 대해 특별히 허용하고 있는 SSG에 의한 특별긴급수입제한제도를 적극 활용하는 한편 동식물검역제도등을 시급히 개선할 필요가 있다. 더우기 MMA와 CMA에 의한 수입가격의 이중적 형성으로 국내시장의 교란현상과 함께 소득분배의 외곡현상이 발생할 우려가 있으므로 국내 농산물 가격의 안정화와 소득의 불균형 방지를 위해서 WTO 규범 내에서 국영무역을 운용할 필요성도 있다.

육용종계 산란기의 영양소 요구량과 사료급여 체계 (utrient Requirements and Feeding System of Broiler Breeder Hens)

  • Results of experiments on the nutrient requirements and feeding system of broiler breeder hens were reviewed, and daily requirements of energy and protein were calculated using the prediction equations reported by Scott(1977) and NRC(1981). The experimental reports on daily ME needs of broiler breeder hens were ranged from 400 to 450 kcal, however, the ME needs of caged hens were 92~93% to those of floor-housed hens due to the difference of ME need for activity. The ME needs of broiler breeders decreased with increasing environmental temperature corresponding to a drop of 25 kcal per day for each 5˚C rise. About 80~90% of the daily ME needs were used for body rnaintenance and activity of hens. Experimental results on daily protein needs of broiler breeder hens were ranged from 18 to 22 g, however, calculated protein needs decreased as the BW gain and eggmass output decreased after peak production, and about 60~65% of the daily protein needs were used for egg production. In the current practice, broiler breeder hens are restricted in feed, and consume their daily allowance in the first 2 to 6 h after dawn. The results suggest that eggshell quality can be significantly improved in hens fed during the afternoon when shell calcification is initiated, with no adverse effect on laying rate and fertility of eggs.

고속철도 운행1년의 성과와 개선 방향 -일본의 동해도 신간선과 비교하여- (Achievement of the KTX project for the past year and improvement measures - compared with those of the Tokaido Shinkansen-)

  • In this paper, I scrutinize what Korea has achieved from the KTX(Korea Train Express) project for the past one year of operation since it was open to public in April 2004 while looking into some improvement measures for better services in the future. I tried to compare the clements with those of the Tokaido Shinkasen in Japan. As things may turn at its premier operation, the KTX has been suffering from a small number of passengers, low in demand. However, when I compared the previous year with the post KTX operation of one year, demand of the passenger has increased $40\%$ on Kyong-bu line. I figured the first one year of the KTX operation pretty much followed in the footstep of the Tokaido Shinkansen's. For example, the rate of the each train to be on time as the timetable was equivalent while KTX went through less technical problems than the Tokaido Shinkansen. I have come up with some ideas for improvement, which I believe will lead to the development growth of KTX. First, I suggest that we complete the construction of laying new rails on Kyong-bu line at the earliest possible time. Second, we need to extend the high speed network as well as the rail modernization. Last, I have no doubt that we should secure high technology before we forge in the overseas markets.

흰점박이꽃무지 산란 특성 조사(2) - 월동(동면) 유충을 중심으로 - (Investigation of Oviposition Characteristics of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis (2) - Winter Larvae -)

  • The present study was investigated the oviposition characteristics of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis with a focus on winter larvae to improve the utilization of insect resources. The average oviposition tendency and average cumulative number of eggs laid during a 7-week period were measured in adults emerging from larvae that had hibernated for 4 months in five farmhouses. The study covered five zones: Gimje, Jangsu, Wanju, Iksan and Yeoju. The average oviposition tendency over a 7-week period showed increased egg laying between 2 to 3 weeks and 5 to 6 weeks. Overall, it was found that the average cumulative number of eggs laid during the 7-week period was initially low and increased proportionally with time. Our results suggest that using adults that have emerged from hibernated larvae is effective in increasing the oviposition rate and utilization of the insect.

  • Demonstration of the highly positive correlation between blood cholestrol levels and heart disease has made consumers wary of the fats in meat, milk and eggs. The egg, as perhaps the single largest common source of cholesterol, has been cited by many members of the medical and scientific world as a food contributing to heart disease. In light of decreasing per capita egg consumption and continuing dietary egg cholesterol controversy, many researchers have focused their efforts on egg nutrition. The results reported, however, are often contradictory. In spite of the disputable scientific evidence, the egg has been labelled (erroneously) as a highly cholesterogenic food. The objective of this presentation is to present a general picture of the problem and discuss our laboratory findings relevant to the problem. An isotope technique was utilized to incorporate $^{14}C$-cholesterol into egg yolk lipoproteins and study the metabolic fate of dietary ovo-cholesterol in rats. Two hundred and fifty micro-curies of 4-$^{14}C$-cholesterol, emulsified in corn oil, were orally administered to five Single Comb White Leghorn laying hens. Eggs were collected, hard-boiled, and the hot dried egg yolk powder (HEY) was prepared. Total radioactivity excreted via feces was determined. The rat groups fed egg yolk powder excreted more than 95% of the ingested ovo-cholesterol, whereas the rat chow group excreted only 47%. No difference was observed between HEY and CEY treatments. Therefore, an unknown lipid factor present in egg folk accelerates cholesterol turnover rate and excretion via feces.

  • The egg's interior quality is one of the most important criteria for commercial producers and consumers. Internal quality is complex, including aesthetic factors such as taste, freshness, nutritional and processing values, and the genetic influences upon these upon these factors ranges from none to considerable. The rate of cholesterol synthesis in the hen is very high compared to other animals and humans. Genetic selection, diet drugs and other chemicals can alter cholesterol concentration in the plasma of laying hen, but attempts to manipulate the cholesterol concentration in the egg yolk are generally unsuccessful since the cholesterol can only be changed to a small extent. Factors which may affect the degree of pigmentation of the yolk include the type of xanthophyll and its concentration in the feed, the feed composition, and the health of the hen. Several feed ingredients interact with carotenoid pigment to improve or reduce their deposition rates in yolks. Egg weight is determined by genetics, body size prior to first egg housing density, environmental temperature, lighting program, total feed consumption, calcium, phosphorus, niacin, water, methionine, total sulfur amino acids, energy, linoleic acid, fat and protein levels. Eggs need to be promote levels. Eggs need to be promoted a versatile commodity and new processed egg items need to be developed. Organic eggs are laid by hens which were raised in chemical and drug frdd environments. There are still difficulties in producing these eggs due to the availability of organic poultry feeds and cost of organic grains.

예비고령자의 주거현황 및 노후 생활서비스 수요분석 (Analysis of the Middle-aged Demand for Elderly Living Service and Present Conditions of Housing)

  • This study focused on the generational change of elderly people in the future based on the changes of aging background and household structure. After 2025, when the growth rate of aging rapidly becomes prominent, the generation born before 1961, the baby boomers who were in their youth after the country's liberation, will replace the current elderly generation. This means that the characteristics and values of living of the elderly will change and not pass on to the future, and that the demand for housing will also be different. The purpose of this study is to predict the future elderly housing demand and to find out the issues of housing support for elderly people and necessary institutional support items. For this purpose, the preliminary elderly people are surveyed and analyzed for their present housing condition, perception of old age, housing plan, welfare facilities and demand for living services. The results of this study are meaningful in laying the groundwork for predicting the demand for housing and living support of the elderly in the future and proposing suggestions and preparing related systems.

스크램제트 추진 시스템의 비행 제어를 통한 연소기의 추력 분석 (Thrust Analysis of Combustor Through Control of Scramjet Propulsion System)

  • 공기 흡입식 극초음속 비행체인 스크램제트의 공력 데이터를 기반으로 하여 꼬리날개 각도와 발생추력을 제어 입력으로 가지는 PID 기반 제어기를 설계했다. 일정한 비행 동압을 가지는 상승궤적과 순항 이후 목표지점을 타격하는 궤적을 기준으로 입력하여 해당 궤적을 추종하는 비행 시뮬레이션을 수행했다. 시뮬레이션 결과에 대해서 초기 상승궤적과 순항 궤적에 대해 비행체 모델에 요구되는 추력을 계산하여 수소 연료 이중 모드 스크램제트 연소기에 요구되는 연료 유량 분석을 위한 연소해석을 진행했다. 본 연구의 연소해석은 독립적으로 개발된 흡입구, 연소기, 노즐, 외부 공력 모델을 통합한 모델에 대해 진행되어 공기 흡입식 극초음속 비행체 통합 설계에 대한 기반을 마련했다.

닭의 모체 연령에 따른 생산 배아의 염색체 이상 빈도 및 텔로미어 함량 분석 (Effect of Maternal Age on Chromosome Aberrations and Telomere Quantity in Chick Embryos)

  • 모체 출산 연령이 늦어짐에 따라 태아의 염색체 이상 빈도는 증가하는 것으로 알려져 있는데, 이는 난자의 노화에 따른 염색체의 비분리 현상의 증가 등이 주된 원인이다. 염색체 양 말단에 존재하는 텔로미어는 염색체의 안정성에 관여하고 세포분열이 진행됨으로써 이의 길이가 짧아져 노화의 지표로 활용되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 모체의 노화가 생산 배아에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 닭의 산란 연령별 배아의 염색체 이상 빈도와 이들의 텔로미어 함량을 분석하였다. 시험 분석은 20주령에서부터 70주령까지의 화이트 레그혼 종을 공시하고 10주 간격으로 생산된 수정란의 초기 배아에 대한 핵형 분석과 양적형광보인법(Q-FISH)을 이용한 모계 및 생산 배아의 텔로미어 함량을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 초기 배아의 염색체 이상 빈도는 산란 연령에 따른 유의적인 차이가 있었는데, 산란 초기에 상대적으로 높은 염색체 이상 빈도를 보이다가 산란 중기에서 안정된 빈도를 유지하고, 후기부터 다시 이상 빈도가 증가하는 양상을 보여 모체의 노화가 태아의 염색체 이상 빈도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 개체의 텔로미어 함량은 연령이 증가함에 따라 점진적 감소 양상을 나타내는 반면, 모계 연령에 따른 생산 배아들의 텔로미어 함량은 연령 간에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타나 모체의 노화가 수정 배아의 텔로미어 함량에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 보여진다. 이는 배란 후 수정이 된 배아는 초기 발생 과정 중 세포들의 reprograming이 일어나 텔로미어가 복구됨을 의미한다.

쌍별귀뚜라미(메뚜기목: 귀뚜라미과)의 실내 대량사육 조건 (Mass Rearing Conditions for the Production of Gryllus bimaculatus De Geer (Orthoptera: Gryllidae))

  • 본 연구는 최근 산업곤충으로 주목받고 있는 쌍별귀뚜라미의 생산 효율 증대를 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 온도, 습도에 따른 부화율 및 부화 기간을 비롯하여 사육 밀도에 따른 생존율 및 산란 온도에 따른 산란수를 조사하였다. 적정 부화 상대습도는 90% 조건에서 부화율 90%를 보여 가장 높았다. 온도별 부화율 조사결과 $20^{\circ}C$에서 98.3%로 가장 높았다. 또한, 온도별 부화 $35^{\circ}C$조건에서 7.1일로 가장 짧게 나타났다. 또한 사육 용기에 3,000~20,000개체를 투입하여 35일간 조사한 밀도별 생존율은 34~18%였다. 쌍별귀뚜라미의 먹이에 채소 급여가 성장에 미치는 특성을 조사한 결과 생존율은 1.8배, 생체중량은 2.5배 높게 나타났다. 온도별 산란수 조사결과 $25^{\circ}C$ 조건에서 30일 후 1,710개로 가장 높았다.
