Re-Ordering of Users in the Group Key Generation Tree Protocol (사용자 순서 재조정을 통한 그룹 키 생성 트리 프로토콜)

  • Tree-based Group Diffie-Hellman (TGDH) is one of the efficient group key agreement protocols to generate the GK. TGDH assumes all members have an equal computing power. As one of the characteristics of distributed computing is heterogeneity, the member can be at a workstation, a laptop or even a mobile computer. Therefore, the group member sequence should be reordered in terms of the member's computing power to improve performance. This research proposes a reordering of members in the group key generation tree to enhance the efficiency of the group key generation.

  • $\mu$BGA(Ball Grid Array) is growing in response to a great demand for smaller and lighter packages for the use in laptop, mobile phones and other evolving products. However it is not easy to find its defect by human visual due to in very small dimension. From this point of view, we are interested its development of a vision based automated inspection algorithm. For this, first a 2D view of $\mu$BGA is described under a special blue illumination. Second, a notation-invariant 2D inspection algorithm is developed. Finally a 3D inspection algorithm is proposed for the case of stereo vision system. As a simulation result, it is shown that 3D defect not easy to find by 2D algorithm can be detected by the proposed inspection algorithm.

Development of Biped Walking Robot with Stable Walking (안정적 보행을 갖는 이족 보행 로봇의 개발)

  • In this paper, we introduce a biped walking robot which can do static walking with 22 degree-of-freedoms. The developed biped walking robot is 480mm tall and 2500g, and is constructed by 22 RC servo motors. Before making an active algorithm, we generate the motions of robot with a motion simulator developed using C language. The two dimensional simulator is based on the inverse kinematics and D-H transform. The simulator implements various motions as we input the ankle's trajectory. Also the simulator is developed by applying the principle of inverted pendulum to acquisite the center of gravity. As we use this simulator, we can get the best appropriate angle of ankle or pelvic when the robot lifts up its one side leg during the walking. We implement the walking motions which is based on the data(angle) getting from both of simulators. The robot can be controlled by text shaped command through RF signal of wireless modem which is connected with laptop computer by serial cable.

  • In this paper we deal with a design of the evaluation system to assess the vehicle operational control algorithm for Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system. PRT system is different from the conventional rail traffic system in such that the station is off-line so as to guarantee a very short headway. In this study we propose an evaluation system to assess the performance of the proposed vehicle control algorithm. The evaluation system is composed of virtual vehicles, central control system, virtual wayside facilities, monitoring equipments. The virtual vehicles are made up by the laptop computers and the central control system employs Power PC process of Motorola Inc. The wayside facilities are implemented by employing the PXI module of the National Instruments Corporation. In order to test the proposed evaluation system a test algorithm is used, which has been simulated in the combined simulation system between Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit and Matlab/Simulink.

  • Increased use of PDA and Laptop has accelerated the development of wireless networking. With the tendency the need to support efficient and seamless data transmission technique has also been increased. However current mobility management protocol, such as the Mobile If, which is defined in RFC 2002, does not cover well these requirements. To satisfy these requirements, we should reduce Handoff processing time occurred by the movement of MN (Mobile Node) about the other networks. This paper proposes efficient Handoff mechanism on the new Mobile IP architecture using the Extended Macro that is a group organized with subnetworks, and sewed by a new added agent.

Multi-View Image Parking Assistant System using Vehicle Data (차량 정보를 이용한 멀티뷰 영상 주차 보조 시스템)

  • This paper presents a parking assistant system of multi-view using vehicle data. Proposed system provides the driver with three direction of the scenes surrounding vehicle. Depending on the handle rotation, the proposed system displays views from multiple wide-angle CCD cameras on the laptop screen to reduce blind spots, support smooth parallel or garage parking, and support comfortable and safe driving. The handle angle and gear position are obtained from ABS ECU through OBD-II port. The performance of proposed system is validated by vehicle experiments.

  • The Backlight inverter used in the laptop computer is designed in this study. It has been difficult for electromagnetic transformer to enhance the efficiency and compact profile. In this study, (l) the piezoelectric transformer(PT) is used for reducing the loss: (2) the volume of core and winding coil are used in electromagnetic transformer, and (3) the zero voltage switching(ZVS) is used in the driver of the resonant circuit. The modified PT for this paper and the equivalent circuit are supported by the simulation program. ZVS is achieved by Half-Bridge inverter circuit. The result of the experiment shows more than 91% improvement in terms of the efficiency.

  • In order to resolve mechanical limit in HDD, recently, the hybrid hard disk combining HDD and a flash memory was launched. In this paper, we propose a simulator for hybrid hard disk which considers redirection, flushing and spin-down function to complement the difference between HDD and hybrid hard disk. The simulator was implemented in linux kernel 2.6.20 by modifying system calls related with file system. The experiment shows that the power consumption of hybrid hard disk is 47% smaller than that of hard disk in laptop PC.
