Korean education in China began at Peking University in the 1950s. At present, The Korean language education in China has made remarkable progress in many aspects such as scale, scope, level and achievement. In addition, with the increasingly frequent economic and cultural exchanges or cooperation between China and South Korea and the increasing trend of internationalization, the prosperity of Korean wave culture and the sound development of China-South Korea relations, the country's demand for Korean language talents is increasing day by day. However, with the rise of Korean education in China in recent years, some hidden problems also surfaced. In this paper, the Korean language proficiency test(TOPIK) is used to evaluate the Korean language proficiency of Korean learners, and Chinese juniors are used to evaluate the Korean language proficiency. In addition, a questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the learning media of Chinese Korean learners at the present stage, and the relationship between learning media and learning outcomes was concluded. At the same time, deficiencies and problems existed in Korean education in colleges and universities were proposed and their own ideas were put forward.

This study seeks to determine children's poem composition through an activity-based nature experiencing program and how it affects their language expression and peer interaction. This research also seeks to provide preliminary data for producing more effective lecturing and learning plans. The forty participants in the study included twenty 5-year-old children from E kindergarten and 20 5-year-old children from G kindergarten in N city. The results of the study demonstrated that children in the experimental group who experienced the poem composing activity with the nature experiencing program demonstrated a positive effect in terms of the quality of language expression as well as peer interaction. These results indicate that children's poem composing activity done with nature experiencing program could be used as a new lecture and learning method for the development of language expression and peer interaction in early childhood education.

The study was designed to explore mothers' and teachers' beliefs on children's literacy development by comparing their beliefs with the whole language approach. Also, their literacy practices at home and in the classroom were compared and how their literacy beliefs and practices were related was investigated. 176 mothers and 72 daycare teachers participated in this study in Kyunggi-do. Mean, standard deviation, frequency, t-test, and multiple regression were employed to analyze the data. The results showed that the mothers' age, mothers' education, fathers' education and family income mostly predict the mothers' literacy beliefs. Also the teachers' age, education, and their learning experiences with the whole language approach are the main predicting variables in the teachers' beliefs. In practices, the mothers' age, number of children, and fathers' education are independent variables predicting the mothers' practices. The teachers' age, education, interest about the whole language approach, learning experience, and number of children in the classroom are independent variables into the teachers' practices. Overall, teachers showed a higher level of beliefs on the whole language approach and did more literacy practices than the mothers.

Recently, Chinese universities have been putting their priority on cultivating industry-academia linked talents, catching up with social change and industrial demand. Accordingly, vocational purpose education is being emphasized even in Korean language education. When facing active trade between Korea and China, the importance of business Korean language education will be magnified, and therefore, the demand for business Korean textbooks will grow accordingly. To strengthen the basis for the development of future business Korean textbooks, this study conducted a general analysis of a business Korean textbook for Chinese learners. Specifically, the textbook was examined by largely dividing it into external and internal structures. After dividing the internal structure into "purpose of compilation", "composition of the textbook", "learning contents", and "learning activity", the composition of the textbook was once again divided into "overall composition" and "unit composition", and the learning contents was further divided into "subject", "language content", and "supplementary knowledge." Furthermore, an analysis was conducted. The status and directions for future development of business Korean textbooks for Chinese learners are delineated and suggestions for improvement are provided. This study has its significant in that a general analysis was conducted on a business Korean textbook for Chinese learners, and is expected to be used as basic research material for the future development of business Korean textbooks.

글로벌 사회로 발전함에 따라 외국어를 능숙하게 말하고 싶어하는 사람들이 많아지고 있다. 능숙하게 말하기 위해서는 말하는 훈련을 충분히 가져야 하는데 이때 대화 상대방을 필요로 한다. 최근에는 음성 인식 정보 기술의 발달로 인하여 대화 상대방의 인간이 없어도 외국어 말하기 훈련을 수행하는 시스템 개발이 가능할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 외국어 말하기 훈련 교육을 위한 테스트베드 시스템을 개발하고 초등학교 수업에 적용하였다. 초등학생에게 영어 대화 상황을 제시하고 말하기 훈련을 실시하도록 하였다. 그 후, 시스템에 대한 만족도와 지속적인 활용 가능성을 조사하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 시스템을 이용하면 외국어 말하기 학습 훈련에 도움이 된다는 점을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of Korean language ability on the effect of marriage immigrants' safety education attitude on safety awareness. A survey was conducted on marriage immigrants living in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions, and the responses of 109 people were used for the analysis. After controlling for gender, nationality, age, educational background, period of stay, region of residence, and presence or absence of safety accidents, the analysis was performed according to the step-by-step approach of Baron and Kenny(1986). In order to verify the statistical significance of the mediating effect of Korean proficiency, the Sobel test was conducted. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that marriage immigrants' safety education attitude had a significant positive (+) effect on safety awareness, and Korean language ability had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between marriage immigrants' safety education attitude and safety awareness.

English textbooks play essential roles in the whole English education context, the analytic study on English textbooks is very important in English education tasks. The purpose of this study is to analyze the expressive functions in the middle school English textbooks on the basis of the 6th national curriculum characteristics and the textbook analysis theories. The results of the expressive language function analysis are as follow: the teaching contents designed for the expressive language functions are not varied, but concentrated on the specific teaching types, and the teaching contents for the expressive language functions are not graded according to the students' development principles stated clearly in the 6th curriculum. The results of the English textbook analysis on the basis of the expressive language function analysis show that the 6th curriculum has some problems in itself and the middle school textbooks do not conform to the 6th curriculum principles. Therefore we need to improve the teaching contents for language functions by means of developing various types of teaching language functions.

This study explored how a particular social media can be used to supplement elementary-level Korean language course in the US public university. The researchers administered a survey measuring students' patterns and habits of social media use. Based on the survey results, researchers designed six different types of learning materials and uploaded them regularly to Instagram throughout the semester. At the end of the semester, a survey was conducted to find out students' satisfactory level. From the 44 students' responses, the study found out that using Instagram 1) is more accessible to students than any other learning management system, 2) is fun and students are willing to participate, 3) increased the target language exposure and authentic language use, 4) increased interaction between teachers, students and even other native speakers, and 5) is helpful to improve listening and other language skills. The study closes with the suggestion for further experimental studies.

수학교육은 수학을 읽고, 쓰고, 듣고, 말하면서 이루어진다. 즉, 수학을 한다는 것은 수학적으로 사고한다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 자국어로 잘 쓰인 수학 교재를 읽고, 자국어로 수학을 토론하며 배우게 되면, 그 내용과 개념을 더욱 깊이 이해하고 자연스럽게 활용하게 된다. 수학 선진국들의 경우, 대학 학부 수학 교재는 대부분 자국어로 쓰인 양질의 교재를 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학수학교육에서 사용하는 교재와 언어가 국가 수학 경쟁력에 미치는 영향에 대하여 논한다. 특히 대학의 설립 초기부터 자국어 교재의 중요성을 인지하여 대학수학 교재를 모두 히브리어로 최초 개발한 이스라엘 공과대학(테크니온)의 언어전쟁 사례와 양질의 자국어 대학수학 교재를 발간하면서 수학 선진국에 이르게 된 프랑스, 미국 및 일본 등의 사례를 분석하여 소개한다.

This paper, drawing on various secondary sources related to bilingualism and bilingual education, proposes a semi-CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) model as an initial option for Korea's ELT instruction at a primary level, with a subsequent application to a secondary level in mind. It is reported that the current pedagogy focused on early English education and communicative language teaching does not meet the needs of students' EFL proficiency. The main reasons for this are considered to lie in the social and educational environment which impedes EFL students' meaningful and authentic communication in target language. Thus, by exploring a conceptual approach to such a problem, this paper suggests a paradigm of integrating content and language for a reasonable solution.
