  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of productivity according to environmental factors among 25 Regional base public hospitals. Also this study is to propose a method to improve the productivity of Regional base public hospitals in the future by improving the public performance and stable management performance by studying the productivity variables affecting profitability. The survey period was based on the last three years, and 25 Regional base public hospitals were selected for the survey. The dependent variable is the total capital medical marginal profitability and the medical profit marginal profitability which are the indicators of profitability. The independent variable, productivity, is classified into three indicators: capital productivity, labor productivity, and value added productivity. The ANOVA analysis method was used to analyze the productivity difference according to the frequency factor and the environmental factors of the Regional base public hospitals. Finally, we conducted a hierarchical regression analysis to examine the productivity variables affecting profitability. The results of this study showed that there were differences in productivity due to environmental factors such as hospital size, competition in the local medical market, and differences in management performance. The difference in productivity and profitability depending on the environmental factors suggests that it is difficult for Regional base public hospitals in each regional base to perform a balanced public service. In order to overcome this, it is necessary to provide balanced medical services such as government financial support expansion, regional medical demand forecasting and facility infrastructure construction.

  • The amount of labor input in a construction project is used as source data to estimate construction cost and to understand the productivity of the construction industry. However, there is a significant difference between the standard of estimation and the actual amount of labor input, and a plan is needed to resolve this problem. For this reason, to establish a system with which the actual amount of labor input can be inputted in a more accurate and simpler manner, a new method is proposed in this study. In the new method, a digital pen is used to minimize the difference from traditional handwriting on paper using a pen, and eliminate the redundant input of information. This study is expected not only to reduce the actual amount of labor input but also to contribute to the productivity of construction cost estimate through the sharing or utilization of the information on the web.

  • Construction Productivity is one of the most important elements in construction management. It is used in construction process scheduling and cost management, which are significant sector in construction management. It is important to make appropriate schedule and monitor how works are done within schedule. But construction project contains uncertainty and inexactitude, modifying construction schedule is being an issue to manage construction works well. Even though prediction and monitoring of productivity can be principal activity, it is hard to predict productivity with manager's experience and a standard of estimate. A large number of factors influencing productivity, such as drawing, construction method, weather, labor, material, equipment, etc. But current calculation of productivity depends on empirical probability, not consider difference of each influencing factor. In this research, the aim is to present a productivity predicting regression model of form work, which includes effectiveness of influences factors. 5 variables existed inside form work are selected by interview and site research based on literature review of existed various productivity influencing factors. The effectiveness and correlation of productivity influencing factors are analyzed by statistical approach, and it is used to make productivity regression model. The finding of this research will improves monitoring and controlling of project schedule in construction phase.

In global economy and information time, country and company have become a business imperative core strategy. Industrial and Labor management culture is more innovation and sustain, development. Therefore, This paper review, the new era of 21st century of knowledged based information society, new labor management culture's shape and the possibility of strong corporate culture's impact. This study suggested several improvement ways of Labor Management. The directions of participation in decisions in labor relation as follows: A manager and employee cope with partnership each other, open management is to successfully operate. Then investment enlarge human resource development, career development, education & training's enforcement etc. Employee are creativity and innovation task centered interested in the working conditions. First of all, employee has to not only effort to productivity improvement, but also voluntarily capacity improvement. These changes are hot issues to employee as well as to manager. Also, Government role is very important. They provide to constructive infra and human resource management should be develop as well as supported to knowledge based employee in socially responsible management. • This study is a basic research for the estimation of the value of unpaid household labor within the national economy system to be reflected in the related policy-making. By measuring economic value of unpaid household labor and estimating the ration to GDP, this study attempted to confirm the productivity of the unpaid household labor and thus contribute to the improvement of socio-economic status of women. Especially, it focused on the development of a standard of estimating unpaid household labor as a method applicable to the present economic and legal system. To organize the method of economic valuation of unpaid household labor and calculate the ration to GDP, this study used three approaches: replacement cost method individual function, replacement cost method generalist and opportunity cost method. Although the estimated result revealed that the economic value of unpaid household labor showed a great extent of deviation according to the estimating methods and the wage rate, total value of household labor ranged from one hundred and thirty eight to two hundred and thirty trillion wens, about 28-48% of GDP in Korea.

  • In private and public construction works, cost estimation and site productivity management are based on designed labor quantities calculated by the Standard Quantities per Unit (SQU). The designed labor quantities are regarded as the basis for insurance costs and safety and environmental costs and also affect the progress measurement of construction works. Even though the designed labor quantities from the SQU has been considered to be different from actual labor quantities put to construction works, there is no research that empirically analyzes the statistical differences. This study analyzes actual labor quantities of form workers, steel-bar fabricators, concrete pourers in reinforced concrete works of the 43 apartment projects, and compares the actual labor quantities to labor quantities from the SQU. It goes further to scrutinize the critical reasons underlying the differences through a survey on 65 practitioners and interviews with 32 site managers and supervisors. The regression models of labor quantities of the apartment concrete work produced by the present study will contribute to reasonable construction contracts based on the past actual costs and practical site management by the actual labor quantities.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of policy boosting fertility and labor participation rate on potential GDP growth rate. To do this, we employ a growth accounting approach, which decomposes per capita GDP into two parts. The first one is the change of dependency ratio and the other is the change of labor input. The labor input is again decomposed into the qualitative and quantitative parts. The quantitative part considers the change of labor participation rate and working time. The qualitative aspects is based on the trend of productivity of labor. From the scenarios of NSO(National Statistics Office), the effect of the fertility-raising policy on per capita potential GDP growth rate is calculated and projected to the year of 2050. We also forecast the policy effect inducing high labor participating rate of female labor and beyond 55-year old labor. The baseline results show that the per capita GDP growth rate will show mid 4% to the year of 2010, gradually declining to 3.94% by 2020, 3.03% by 2030, 2.41% by 2040. The high fertility rate scenario will not have effects on the potential growth by 2030, but show 0.10%p higher per capita GDP growth rate than that of baseline scenario result. By the high female labor participation policy, the per capita GDP growth rate will reach 0.04%p higher per capita GDP growth rate than that of baseline scenario. Based on the results of this paper, we conclude that the quantitative labor input cannot solely account for the trend decline of potential GDP, and the qualitative aspect, like labor productivity, is much more important element to sustain and boots the economic growth.
