우리나라 노동시장의 유휴생산능력 추정 및 통화정책에 대한 시사점 분석 (Empirical Analysis on Labor Market Slackness and Monetary Policy Implications in Korea)

  • 글로벌 금융위기 이후 전통적인 실업률의 유용성에 대한 의문이 제기되었으며, 본 연구는 2015년부터 통계청이 공식적으로 발표하고 있는 고용보조지표의 활용 가능성에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 고용보조지표의 정의를 2003년부터 2014년까지 경제활동인구조사 원자료에 소급 적용하여 고용보조지표를 추산하고, 이를 활용한 노동시장 유휴생산능력 지표에 대한 실증분석을 시도하였다. 실증분석 결과, 보완적 고용지표를 활용한 고용률갭이 여타 노동시장 유휴생산능력 지표에 비해 총산출갭과의 상관성이 높을 뿐만 아니라, 인플레이션에 대한 예측력 개선효과도 비교적 뚜렷한 것으로 나타나, 보완적 고용지표를 활용한 고용률 기반 지표의 유용성이 상대적으로 높음을 시사한다고 할 수 있다.

제4차 산업혁명과 성별 격차에 관한 연구 (A Study on the 4th Industrial Revolution and Gender Gap)

  • 연구목적 :제4차산업혁명이 성별격차에 어떻게 영향을 미치는가를 분석하는데 있다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 전 세계 145개 국가를 대상으로 ICT개발지수 및 네트워크준비지수와 성별격차와의 관계를 회귀분석 하였다. 연구결과 : ICT개발지수는 통계적으로 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났으나, 네트워크준비지수는 여성노동참여율과 남녀임금평등비와는 정(+)의 관계로써 산업혁명의 진전이 여성의 노동참여를 증가시키지만 임금격차는 심화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 정보통신혁명에 의해 주도되는 제4차산업혁명은 여성의 노동시장여건에 영향을 미친다는 가설을 검증하는 결과이다.

한.일의 대미 수출경쟁력에 관한 연구 (An Analysis of Export Competitiveness of Korea and Japan in the USA)

  • This study investigates empirically the export competitiveness of Korea and Japan in America by calculating 4 indexes such as market share index(MSI), export similarity index(ESI), market comparative adventage index(MCAI) and market share expansion ratio(MSER)-export similarity deepening ratio(ESDR). The empirical finding of this analysis shows that Korea is competitive in the labor-intensive products and Japan in the technology-intensive products. This result also meets the general understandings that Japan is superior to Korea in the export competitiveness such as value added of goods, etc. Therefore, in order to strengthen the export competitiveness of Korea in the US market, it's desirable for our firms and government to improve the quality of product ranges by developing technologies focused on the higher value-added products.

농업 노동의 질적 차이를 반영한 감귤 생산 노동투입 효율성 비교 분석 -시장 임금차이를 기준으로- (A Comparison Analysis of the Labor Efficiency between Quality-Adjusted Labor and Quality-Unadjusted Labor in Jeju Mandarin Production -Based on the Difference in Market Wages-)

  • This study aims to analyze the difference in production elasticity based on the types of agricultural labor input regarding its qualitative difference in Jeju mandarin production. To estimate the production function of qualityadjusted labor, we have set up a Quality-Adjusted Index based on the market wage of the agricultural field. We have conducted a multiple regression analysis of the newly estimated labor inputs using the Ordinary Least Squares regression. Results show that the production efficiency of aggregate total labor hours (quality-unadjusted labor input) is overestimated compared to quality-adjusted labor with qualitative labor homogeneity. Moreover, by analyzing household labor and employment labor, we have observed that the marginal productivity of household labor exceeds that of employment labor. In conclusion, this study verifies that securing labor input homogeneity is crucial for analyzing agricultural labor hours' economic efficiency accurately.

  • Construction projects, including housing, are carried out over long periods of time. According to changes to the construction period, the cost of input materials and wages also changes. Therefore appropriate management is important in order to minimize cost risks caused by fluctuations in prices. In Korea, housing units are usually sold in lots prior to construction completion. Therefore, careful management of input elements such as materials and equipment that are sensitive to price fluctuations is very important. This study deals with how the price fluctuation of materials, labor, and equipment influences the change of housing cost and seeks a way for cost management through identifying key resources sensitive to price fluctuation. As a result, a change to the housing cost index multiplies depending on cost changes of materials and labor together. Labor costs are a major factor on the housing cost index. In addition, certain types of materials and labor input to housing construction greatly influence price fluctuations. Thus, it is found that managing those main cost factors is the key for effective cost management.

  • Background: The prevailing global work scenario and deteriorating health facilities in economies indulge the risk perspective in the labor market model. This is the reason that the risk factor is cautiously attributed to wages and labor market efficiencies specifically in developing and emerging economies. In this respect, Occupational Injuries of Workers (OIW) is considered essential to demonstrate the risk and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) setups given the constraints of the labor. Intuitively, the prime objective of this study is to make an assessment of the labor market considering the OIW through the indicators of industry division, employment status, occupational distribution, adopted treatment, gender and regionality. Methods: The assessment strategy of the study has been categorized into trend analysis and Index Value Calculation (IVC) segments employing the data from 2001 to 2018. Results: The pattern of the selected indicators of the OIW has been observed in the available data while the IVC estimations are considered through time and reference categories. The findings of both exercises revealed absolute and relative heterogeneities at both industry and occupational levels. Conclusion: The consistency for gender and regional distribution of both assessments points out the need for effective policy initiatives. The study suggests separate analyses of industry and occupations for a better understanding of the OHS setups and up-gradation in Pakistan.

병원 간호사의 업무환경, 감정노동이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Work Environment, Emotional Labor on Turnover Intention by Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose. The objective of this study was to investigate factors influencing turnover intention index of work environment, emotional labor by hospital nurses Methods. A survey was conducted with 290 nurses who were working hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression with SPSS window 18.0 program. Result. Findings revealed that; 1) The mean scores were 2.81 [range : 1-5] for work environment, 3.24 [range : 1-5] for emotional labor, 3.43 [range : 1-5] for turnover intention. 2) Pearson's correlation revealed work environment was negatively correlated with turnover intention but emotional labor positively correlated with the turnover intention. 3) Hrarchical multiple regression analysis showed work environment, ages, assign ward, period in current hospital, emotional labor significantly influenced turnover intention in hospital nurses. Conclusion. These findings can be utilized to development of strategies to improving the work environment, managing the emotional labor for decreasing turnover intention of hospital nurses so that can be long time.

Estimating State-Level Matching Efficiencies in the Indian Labor Market

  • We analyze state-level matching efficiencies in the Indian labor market using stochastic frontier analysis. The key contribution of this research is the estimation of matching efficiencies at the state level because these can be used for a state-level measure of labor market conditions. Next, we explore the relationship between the estimated matching efficiencies and population density, labor market flexibility, and the Ease of Doing Business index, respectively. The results show that matching efficiency is heterogeneous across states with considerable variation in accordance with the regional diversity in India. However, we find that there is little relationship between the estimated matching efficiencies and the labor market conditions of interest, suggesting that other regional diversity affects matching efficiencies across states in India.

  • 한국의 건설공사비지수는 대한건설협회(이하 건협)가 1994년 이후 발표를 중단한 이후, 2004년 2월부터 정부에서 실적공사비제도와 관련하여 새롭게 공사비지수를 발표하기 시작하였다. 이 공사비지수는 한국은행(이하 한은)의 산업연관표, 생산자물가지수와 건협의 공사부문 시중노임 등 검증된 데이터를 활용하여 개발된 것이다. 기존의 통계자료만을 활용하는 것을 전제로 하였을 경우에는 이와 같은 방법이 유효할 수 있으나, 건설산업의 공사비 특성을 반영하기에는 일정한 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 공사종류별로 노무비와 자재비의 투입구조를 직접적으로 조사하여, 해당 항목들의 원가변동치를 적용함으로써 건설공사비지수를 산출하는 방법을 도입하고자한다. 본 논문의 범위는 기존통계를 이용한 건설공사비지수의 문제점을 밝히고, 이를 대체할 수 있는 현실적인 대안으로서 직접조사에 의한 공사비지수 개발방법론의 타당성을 확인하는 것으로 한정한다.

베이비붐세대 기혼여성의 부부생활이 행복지수에 미치는 영향 (A study of the impact of the married life of married women from the baby boom generation on the Happiness Index)

  • This study is about the happiness of married women from the baby boom generation. The study aims to understand the impact of the married life of such women on the happiness index and to improve the happiness of married women by improving married life. The data for this study were drawn from the National Women and Family Panel Survey (4th year data) carried out by the Korean Women's Development Institute. The subjects for the final analysis totaled 885 married women from the baby boom generation, born between 1955 and 1963. Of these, 550 were married women in a dual income family, and 335 were married women in a husband-income family. IBM SPSS Statistic 21.0 was used. The findings from this study are as follows: First, the women's happiness index was higher in cases where the women had a more positive view of their husbands, the more often they were involved in leisure activities, the better their conflict resolution whenever there was a clash of opinions, and the more satisfied they were with the division of household labor. Second, in the case of dual income families, the women's happiness index was higher where they had a positive view of their husbands, their conflicts were better resolved, and the more satisfied they were with the division of household labor. Third, in the case of married women in a husband-income family, their happiness index rose the more positively they perceived their husbands, the more often they were involved in leisure activities together, and the more satisfied they were with the division of household labor.
