광역대도시 노동시장의 양극화와 사회적 배제의 형성: 노동시장 변동의 지역성에 대한 이해 (Labor Market Polarization and the Formation of Social Exclusion in the Metropolitan Areas: Understanding the Spatiality of the Labor Market Changes)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 광역대도시를 대상으로 노동시장의 양극화 패턴을 고찰하고, 양극화의 구조화 과정 속에서 나타나는 지역노동시장의 특성과 역할을 분석하였다. 노동시장의 양극화는 무엇보다도 저임금 일자리의 확대와 근로빈곤층의 양산에 기여함으로써 지역 내 사회적 배제의 심화를 창출하는 중요한 기제로 작용하고 있다. 노동시장 양극화가 갖는 역동성을 이해하는 중요한 수단으로서 지역노동시장에 기초한 공간적인 접근의 중요성이 강조되어야 한다. 본 연구는 우리나라 광역대도시 노동시장의 양극화 요인에 대한 분석결과를 토대로 보다 차별적이고 체계적인 정책적 접근이 필요하다고 주장한다. 노동시장 역동성의 공간적 차별성에 대한 이해는 광역대도시 노동시장 내 빈곤과 사회적 배제의 구조화를 이해하는데 중요한 단초를 제공하기 때문이다.

  • 노동시장에서 높은 성과를 내고 있는 덴마크 및 네덜란드와 같은 중북부 일부 유럽 국가들의 노동 유연안정화 정책을 OECD 22개 국가에 적용했을 경우 실제 네덜란드나 덴마크의 경우와 같은 노동시장의 성과를 볼 수 있는지를 살펴보고자 했다. 각 국가의 내재적 특수성을 배제한 체 순수 유연안정화 정책의 영향을 보기 위해 고정효과 모형을 이용하여 연구한 결과, 유연안정화 정책은 빈곤율의 감소에서만 성과를 나타내고 있을 뿐 고용률, 실업률 및 지니계수 등에서는 성과가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 노동유연화 정책이 북중부 일부 유럽 국가에서만 노동시장 성과에 긍정적인 영향이 있을 뿐, 이들 국가들 특유의 내재적 토양과 다른 OECD 국가들이 노동정책으로 유연안정화 정책을 채택하는 것에는 다소 무리가 있다고 할 수 있다.

분만 동통의 의미 (The Meaning of Pain in Labor)

  • From of old, labor has been accompanied by pain and much effort has been mode to eliminate or diminish the amounts of pain during labor. Little concern has yet been given to the subjective meaning of pain in labor. Recently, rates of cesarean section in Korea and in some other nations have increased rapidly and some investigators are reporting negative reactions such as anger, disappointment and feeling of loss due to lack of control over labor and its pain. These findings are thought to suggest that control of labor and its pain gives some meaning to the laboring woman. Thus the investigators sought to discover the meaning of pain during labor for Korean women. Specific objectives of this study were to explore the meaning of pain in labor to the mothers, their reactions to the experience of labor add their preference for delivery method. The subjects of this study were 95 mothers who delivered their babies in hospital from September 989 to May 1990 : 45 gave birth by vaginal delivery, and 50 by cesarean section. Data were gathered through direct interviews by the investigators, and questions were focused on five areas i.e. mothers' feelings about delivery and their babies, their feelings about of having more children, the most difficult aspect about this labor and delivery, and what they thought the differences were between vaginal delivery and cesarean section. After interview, mothers' answers were summarized, and classified according to the degree of positive or negative attitude. To ascertain the difference in meaning of labor pains and reaction to delivery experience between mothers delivered vaginally and by cesarean section a Median test was done using an SAS. Results were as follows. 1. More mothers who had delivered vaginally realized that they “have became a mother” than those who had a cesarean section(X$^2$=8.409, df=3, p=0.038). 2. Immediate reaction to their delivery experience was more positive for mothers who had a cesarean section. 3. These Korean mothers expressed preference for vaginal delivery. Suggestions for further research on the meaning for mothers of their experience of labor, and on the meaning of pain for mothers who have a cesarean section were made.

우리나라 광역대도시 지역노동시장의 임금결정과정과 소득격차 (Wage Determination Process and Income Disparity in Korean Metropolitan Cities)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 광역대도시의 노동시장을 사례로, 지역노동시장이 갖는 지역성을 임금결정과정을 중심으로 고찰하였다 외환위기이후 주목을 받기 시작한 대도시내 실업과 같은 노동시장의 구조변화와 계층간의 사회적 분극화는 별개의 현상이 아니며 대도시내 노동시장과정을 통해 긴밀히 연결되어 있다. 임금결정과정에 대한 회귀분석결과, 전체적으로 고학력 및 고기능 사무직 근로자에 대한 임금상승효과가 대도시를 중심으로 두드러지게 나타난다. 이는 대도시에서 산업재구조화와 정보기술의 보급에 따른 노동시장의 수요변화와 맞물리면서 기술적.공간적 불일치에 의한 구조적 실업의 양산과 직종간의 임금격차를 유발하게 되는 것과 긴밀히 관련되어 있다. 또한 임금결정과정에 기초한 노동시장과정은 뚜렷한 지역성을 갖고 있기 때문에, 개별 광역시 노동시장내 임금결정과정과 그것이 갖는 소득변화에 대한 영향은 특정 노동시장의 특성, 즉 노동시장의 공급 및 수요구조, 산업구조 및 실업변화 등에 기초해서 이해되어야 한다 이러한 사실이 바로 지역정책으로서 노동시장정책이 올바로 정립되어야 하는 이유이며, 이는 바로 노동시장에 대한 지리학적 연구를 통해 이루어질 수 있다.

병원직원의 노동조합몰입에 영향을 미치는 결정요인분석 (Determinants Influencing Labor Union Commitment of Hospital Employees)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials needed to enhance quality of organizational life by identifying the improvements of labor union management in the perspective of general hospital organization management. The subjects of this study were 428 employees in 8 Hospitals in Metro Capital including Seoul. Materials were collected from administrators, nurses and medical technicians in target hospitals from November 10 to November 30, 2006 through survey questionnaires. The main results of this study were as follows: 1. The commitment level of the subjects according to their characteristics was higher in older employees than the younger ones, large family to support than small family to support and those who had higher positions in labor union. 2. The commitment level of the subjects according to the Job and role related variables were higher those who had higher satisfaction level to their job, role conflict in all hospitals. 3. The commitment level of the subjects according to union related variables, variables jointly controlled by union and employer was statistically significant positive correlation. 4. The results of multiple regression analysis shows that formal and informal socialization, satisfaction with the labor union's were all found as important antecedents of labor union commitment. 5. The results of AMOS shows that structure characteristics of hospital, Job and manager satisfaction, socialization were statistically significant labor union satisfaction. The satisfaction level of labor union was statistically significant labor union commitment To summarize study results, the level of commitment in labor union depends on job satisfaction, managers' attitudes, union satisfaction factors, their colleagues attitudes toward union. Therefore hospital managers should have democratic and flexible attitudes toward labor union. Additionally, as formal and informal socialization is important determinant in union commitment, hospital managers should have countermeasures to enhance the colleague attitude and job satisfaction level of hospital employees. Moreover, as managerial factors of the principal of hospital influence union commitment directly, the attitudes of hospital managers toward union and transparency of hospital management should be improved.

패널자료에 의한 외국인 근로자의 소득증대 효과분석: OECD 국가를 중심으로 (On the Effects of Foreign-born Labor on Increasing in National Income Implemented by Panel Data Analysis: Evidence from OECD Countries)

  • 본 연구는 34개 OECD 국가 중에서 자료의 가용성에 따라 24개국을 대상으로 모의변수를 설정한 고정효과모형에 의한 패널분석을 수행하여 외국인 근로자의 국내 소득증대 효과를 분석하였다. 즉, 패널자료를 활용한 단순 및 다중회귀분석을 통해 총고용률, 자국인 고용률 및 외국인 고용률이 소득지표인 국내총생산과 일인당 국민소득에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 외국인 고용률이 내국인 고용률에 비해 소득증대에 기여하는 정도가 현저하게 낮은 것으로 나타났고, 외국인 고용률이 자국인 고용률을 대체하는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 노동이 국가의 소득수준을 결정하는데 있어서 영향력이 크다는 것도 입증되었다. 따라서 외국인 근로자의 유입으로 인해 노동생산성이 하향 조정되거나 노동시장이 분절화 되는 것을 방지할 수 있는 정책적 대안이 필요할 것이다. 즉, 노동정책 당국은 외국인 근로자의 양적인 확대뿐만 아니라 질적인 확대를 유도할 수 있는 방향으로 노동시장을 개방해야 할 것이다.

  • 디지털 컨버전스의 기술 혁신은 언론 부문에서 핵심적인 노동이라고 할 수 있는 기자노동에도 막대한 영향을 주고 있다. 노동과정론에 따르면, 자본주의적 생산양식에서 기술혁신으로 인해 노동자들은 노동에 대한 통제력을 상실해가면서 탈숙련화의 과정을 겪어 왔고, 경영진들은 억압적인 노동조건을 은폐하고 노동자들을 더욱 효율적으로 통제하기 위해 이데올로기적, 정치적 장치들을 도입해 왔다. 이러한 문제의식 위에서 본 연구는 뉴스룸 통합의 기술혁신이 기자노동의 숙련도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지, 또 경영진들이 기자들을 통제하기 위해 사용하는 전략이 무엇인지를 CBS 통합뉴스룸의 사례를 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 통합뉴스룸 도입으로 인해 기자들은 숙련노동에 대한 통제력을 상실해가면서 탈숙련화되고 있었다. 또한, 경영진들은 새로운 뉴스생산관행, 가족주의 노사문화에 대한 노동자들의 동의를 획득해 나갔으며, 내부노동시장 분절화를 통해 기업권력의 강화와 노동사회의 고립화 전략을 취하고 있었다.

임산(臨産) 의론(醫論)과 의방(醫方)에 대한 문헌고찰(文獻考察) - 불수산(佛手散)을 중심으로 - (A Literature Review about Labor theory and practice - Focused on Bulsusan(佛手散) -)

  • Object : From the ancient times, the importance of childbirth has been well recognized by Korean Traditional Medicine. Numeral methods have been developed to ease the labor process and keep the mother and child healthy from conception to labor. Bulsusan(佛手散) is one of the main remedies to healthy labor in KTM, both widely known and applied as well. Method : This paper examines the labor theory and practice of KTM focused on Bulsusan which is composed of Angelica gigas Nakai(當歸) and Cnidium officinale MAKINO(川芎). Result : 1. From the ancient times until the Q$\bar{i}$ng period, much attention was placed to the handling of the placenta, as it was conceived as bearing much relation to the health of the mother and her fate, and thus included in the labor process. 2. There was a recognition of the 'birth pulse[離經脈]', an intense change in the pulse that presents itself prior to somatic signs of labor. 3. There were numerous prescriptions that were administered beforehand to ease the process. They are mostly constituted with medicinals that nurture Gi(氣) and stimulate its flow, which in turn makes the fetus firm and reduces the volume, easing the labor process. 4. The medical practice of labor-induction was called 'Choesaeng(催生)'. The prescriptions which functioned as such were mostly constituted with blood medicinals such as Angelica gigas Nakai and Cnidium officinale MAKINO, those which nurture both Gi(氣) and blood, and medicinals that physically lubricate the labor pathway such as honey, oil and Talcum(滑石). Conclusion : Bulsusan can be used in most problems concerning pregnancy and labor, and cases of emergency blood loss due to injury. The term 'bulsu(佛手)' infers to the medical ability of the great doctor who takes care of major blood-loss situations resulting from discharge of dead fetus, cesarean delivery, etc. The prescription name takes after this meaning, as it deals with similar conditions in its effect.

감정노동의 하부요인이 병원간호사의 직무만족, 이직의도 및 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Emotional Labor on Job Satisfaction, Intent to Leave, and Nursing Performance of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze emotional labor factors influencing job satisfaction, intent to leave, and nursing performance of clinical nurses. Method: The participants were 384 clinical nurses working in a hospital. Study design was cross sectional survey. Subcategories of emotional labor (frequency of emotional labor, attentiveness of emotional display, mismatch of emotions) of emotional labor were dependent variables. Job satisfaction, intent to leave, and nursing performance were independent variables. Data were analyzed by hierarchial multiple regression. Results: The strength of emotional labor of nurses was similar for all participants in spite of differences in age, position, and clinical career. Total score for emotional labor was 3.21, frequency of emotional labor 3.34, attentiveness of emotional display 3.41, and mismatch of emotions 2.87. Mismatch of emotions influenced job satisfaction (F=12.53, p<.001) $R^2$ 27%, intent to leave (F=8.51, p<.001) $R^2$ 19%, and nursing performance (F=5.80, p<.001) $R^2$ 15%, Conclusion: These findings indicate that the factor (mismatch of emotion) is an important variable for clinical nurses in human resource management. Therefore, nurse managers should consider this factor for the improvement of organizational effectiveness.

초임 유아교사의 정서지능, 교사-유아 상호작용 간의 관계에서 정서노동의 매개효과 (The Relationship between Novice Early Childhood Teacher's Emotional Intelligence and Teacher-Child Interaction in the Mediating Effect of Emotional Labor)

  • This study examined the mediating effect of emotional labor in the relations between teachers' emotional intelligence and teacher-child interaction of novice early childhood teachers. The sample consisted of 248 novice early childhood teachers in Gyeonggi Province. The structural equation modeling was conducted using AMOS to test the fit of a hypothesized structural model. The mediating effect of emotional labor was verified by the bootstrapping approach. The results were as follows: First, teacher-child interaction was positively associated with teachers' emotional intelligence and deep acting in emotional labor was negatively associated with surface acting in emotional labor. Next, surface acting in emotional labor had a mediating effect on the relations between emotional intelligence and teacher-child interaction. Finally, deep acting of emotional labor had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between emotional intelligence and teacher-child interaction. Based on these findings, ways to enhance teachers' emotional intelligence in relation to the novice teachers' emotional characteristics, and to improve recognition on emotional labor were discussed.
