전기배선 또는 코드가 가구 등의 무거운 물건에 깔리거나 진동이나 날카로운 모서리 등에 의해 피복이 손상되어 회로의 누설에 의한 경우 먼지 등 오염물질이 쌓여 습기를 포함하면 전기통로가 형성된다. 즉, 트래킹(tracking)현상과 부품의 열화 등에 의한 누설전류가 흘러 발생하는 전기적 조건의 변화 등이 있다. 또한 전기설비가 규격미달이나 노후된 경우, 전기설비를 변경할 경우, 혹은 전기설비가 잘못 사용되거나 기기와 맞지 않을 경우에 화재가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반적으로 가정에서 사용되는 전원코드에서 충전부에 흡습되어 나타날 수 있는 병렬아크에 의해 전원코드가 열화되어 용융되는 특성을 고찰하였다.

본 논문에서는 냉온정수기 등의 온수조의 온도 조절 및 온도과승방지를 위해 주로 사용되는 바이메탈 서모스탯 외부 표면의 오손에 따른 화재 위험성에 대하여 실험, 분석하였다. 실험 분석결과, 서모스탯 표면의 극간 간격에 관계없이 절연물 표면의 오염에 의해 절연물 표면에 누설전류가 흘러 탄화되면서 화재로 이어지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 바이메탈 서모스탯의 외부 오염에 의한 화재 예방을 위하여 불연성 재질의 서모스탯으로 하거나 외부 물기 등의 영향을 받지 않는 구조로 개선할 필요가 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 제품자체의 안전뿐만 아니라 사용 환경 등을 고려한 안전설계가 요구된다. 연구결과는 관련 규정의 개선과 바이메탈 서모스탯과 관련된 화재원인 규명에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

Recently, optical pickup actuators have been designed to have structures that extruded lens to decrease their height, because they are used in very thin drive for notebook computers. However because of discordant and undesirable of forces that are supposed to happen in this design feature, subsidiary resonance such as rolling and pitching mode exert bad influence on actuator. In this paper, we presented force constituents to clarify the cause of subsidiary resonance analysis to evaluate characteristics of actuators. As a result. we could find out design parameters to diminish the influence of subsidiary resonance. Sample actuators designed with appropriate parameters were fabricated and put to practical tests. Comparing analysis with experimental results, we verified the accuracy of the analysis and the effectiveness of the method presented.

In this paper, it is described the characteristics comparison of LV insulated materials contaminated by the salt vaporization and the particulates. The contact angle of normal PVC is measured $75^{\circ}$ but its of PVC contaminated by the salt vaporization for 500 hours is measured $63^{\circ}$. The contact angle of normal bakelite is measured $66^{\circ}$ but its of bakelite contaminated by the salt vaporization for 500 hours is measured $44^{\circ}$. And the contact angle of normal acrylic resin is measured $65^{\circ}$ but its of acrylic resin contaminated by the salt vaporization for 500 hours is measured $60^{\circ}$. In the surface of insulated materials contaminated by the particulate, the contact angle is decreased. The surface of bakelite is not good as an insulator.

This paper intends to introduce foreign/ domestic situation on fire safety assessment of bed mattress. America continent countries and ISO recently adapt real scale test method, other coutries including Korea have been using small scale test method such as IMO FTP code's bed component fire test.

This study focuses on the establishment of bed mattress fire test in real scale where it explains the burner heat supply, test procedure and test report in detail. Especially burner system is dealt in importance for bed mattress test in real scale due to simulating in bedding component by burner heat out-put.

ISO 13784-1 sandwich panel tests were conducted by FILK, KICT in Korea, SP in Sweden and CSIRO in Australia. Sandwich panels composed of steel sheets, EPS and glass wool supplied by FILK were tested. Mainly heat release rate was compared and equlity of distribution also analyzed on the point of statistical view based on ISO.

This study aims to inform of current situation related to fire safety performance regulation on bed mattress in domestic and foreign countries, and even to make a slight analysis report on heat release rate of bed mattress based on preliminary KICT study which has comparison data together with several items inside house.
