Intelligent Methods to Extract Knowledge from Process Data in the Industrial Applications

  • Data are an expression of the language or numerical values that show some features. And the information is extracted from data for the specific purposes. The knowledge is utilized as information to construct rules that recognize patterns or make a decision. Today, knowledge extraction and application of that are broadly accomplished for the easy comprehension and the performance improvement of systems in the several industrial fields. The knowledge extraction can be achieved by some steps that include the knowledge acquisition, expression, and implementation. Such extracted knowledge is drawn by rules with data mining techniques. Clustering (CL), input space partition (ISP), neuro-fuzzy (NF), neural network (NN), extension matrix (EM), etc. are employed for the knowledge expression based upon rules. In this paper, the various approaches of the knowledge extraction are surveyed and categorized by methodologies and applied industrial fields. Also, the trend and examples of each approaches are shown in the tables and graphes using the categories such as CL, ISP, NF, NN, EM, and so on.

모유영양교육과정이 남녀 대학생의 모유영양 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향 : 성별 차이를 중심으로 (Effects of Educational Intervention about Breastfeeding on University Students' Knowledge and Attitudes toward Breastfeeding: Focusing on Gender Differences)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a targeted, practical education intervention on university students' knowledge and attitudes toward breastfeeding. Methods: A university curricular intervention was designed for students to increase their knowledge and positive attitude toward breastfeeding issues. The participants attended a breastfeeding education lectures two hours of weekly for fifteen weeks in university; 61 students (female, n=31 and male, n=30) participated. The pre- and post-measurements included future breastfeeding intention, knowledge, attitude and perceived control beliefs scores based on the results of a questionnaire. Results: The statistical analysis results revealed a significant difference in the pretest and posttest scores (0.57 to 5.10 points, p<0.001) in regard to the students' breastfeeding knowledge. For female students, significant differences were observed in the future breastfeeding intention (p<0.05), knowledge (p<0.001), and attitudes towards breastfeeding (p<0.05) between the pretest and posttest scores. For male students, there were no significant differences in the future breastfeeding intention, attitudes towards breastfeeding, and perceived control beliefs scores after the breastfeeding education lecture. Conclusions: This study showed that the implementation of practical breastfeeding educational interventions helped improve university students' knowledge and attitudes toward breastfeeding. In summary, despite the limitations, it is necessary to pay more attention to improving students' knowledge and attitudes towards breastfeeding through university curricula.

  • This paper is concerned with the study of 'Knowledge Management', a paradigm of thought based on the idea that the future will be a knowledge-centered society. This paper also provides an overview of both 'what to manage' and 'how to manage' if an organization wants to develop in this environment. The process of 'Knowledge Management' begins with a decision. Presented with a myriad of information, of which we can't afford to obtain it all, what information is of value to the organization? Further, by systematically organizing not only the primary information but also that which was accumulated in the process, Knowledge Management is capable of suggesting a value-added plan of action. This research presents the necessary principles needed in order to successfully use Knowledge Management, specifically a harmony between the human and technological aspects. There cannot be a static solution to the problem, as the environment of the enterprise's problem is dynamic in nature. Throughout the process, the enterprise will constantly change its strategy and structure in order to adapt to variable knowledge, technology, strategy, regulations, consumer interest, etc... The essential constant of these problems is the importance of spending on education. Investments in educations help develope a infrastructure for Information Technology, the development of knowledge distribution strategies, and the creation of efficient Knowledge Management policy.

지식센터로서의 공공도서관 분석 프레임워크 (Analysis Framework of Public Library as Knowledge Center)

  • 최근 정보통신기술의 발전은 공공도서관의 정체성을 모호하게 만들고 있다. 또한 지역사회의 공공도서관을 지식생성관점에서 연구한 문헌은 거의 존재하지 않는 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 지역공공도서관을 전통적인 도서대출기능을 수행하는 주체로부터, 지식과 사회자본을 생성하는 주체라는 새로운 관점에서 바라볼 수 있음을 보이고자 한다. 이를 위해서 이 논문은 지식관리와 지식도시 개념을 바탕으로 공공도서관을 분석하는 분석틀을 제시한다. 이 분석틀의 타당성을 검토하기 위하여 뉴저지 주 리지우드 도서관을 하나의 사례로 분석한다.

Information Professionals' Knowledge Sharing Practices in Social Media: A Study of Professionals in Developing Countries

  • The primary objective of this study was to investigate the perception of informational professionals' knowledge sharing practices in social media platforms. The specific objectives of the study included learning professionals' perceptions and awareness of knowledge sharing using social media, understanding their opinions and beliefs, and gaining familiarity with and reasons for using these tools. Open & close ended web-based questions were sent out by email to the international training program (ITP) participants. Findings indicated that most of the respondents' were aware of using social media and that they used social media for knowledge sharing. Speed and ease of use, managing personal knowledge, easier communication with users and colleagues and powerful communication tool are the areas that motivated them to use it. It also stated some barriers like lack of support, familiarity, trust, unfiltered information and fear of providing information. The study was limited to the perceptual aspect of the issue, specifically from the individuals' opinions and sentiments.

본사 자원과 메커니즘의 유사성과 격차가 합작투자기업의 학습효과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Resource, Mechanism Relatedness and Gap on International Knowledge Transfer)

  • This research examines the effect of the relatedness and the gap between Resources and mechanisms on effectiveness of inter-organizational knowledge transfer. According to the literature, there has been a competing theory between two claims; one is that inter-organizational knowledge transfer will be more effective due to the reduction of the transaction cost as the relatedness increases. And the other is that the mutual complementarity of different organizational characteristics will increase synergy. In total, the relatedness and the gap of the Resource and mechanism makes the inverted U-shaped relationship with the inter-organizational knowledge transfer. As the result of empirical analysis about 109 Korean-based Joint Ventures entered country, it shows that the relatedness of parent company's production Resources, learning mechanisms, and coordination mechanisms made the inverted U-shaped relations with the inter-organizational knowledge transfer and the gap of production Resources and adjustment mechanism formed the same relationship. However, the U-shaped relationship has been established in the relatedness of market Resources, but the gap of market Resources and the learning mechanism was not statistically significant. Through this study, I can draw a best conclusion that the inter-organizational knowledge transfer will be more effective when the relatedness and the gap of management resources and mechanisms is in optimal level. However, when it comes to market Resources, it can be inferred that the result could be the opposite because the partner country's market environment would be different.

The relationship between dementia-related knowledge and attitude in people in their 20s and 60s

  • This study is a cross-sectional survey study aimed at collecting basic data for the development of a program to cultivate a positive attitude toward dementia among people caring for dementia patients. For this study, data were collected from March 1 to March 7, 2022 as a structured questionnaire, and 232 study participants were in their 20s to 60s. The collected data were derived from chi-square test, t-test, and simple regression analysis using the spss 18.0 program. As a result of the analysis, women had higher treatment knowledge for dementia than men, men had higher attitudes toward dementia than women (p<0.01), and people living with dementia patients had higher attitudes than those who gave birth (p<0.01). Attitudes toward dementia were more positive in the family than those with dementia patients (p<0.01). Dementia-related knowledge consists of disease knowledge, treatment knowledge, and nursing knowledge, of which only positive dementia attitude affects dementia treatment knowledge (t=5.29, p<0.01). Based on these results, it is suggested that the provision of accurate knowledge about dementia treatment should be planned first as a nursing program for dementia patients.

시간적 거리와 사전지식에 따른 프리어나운싱 전략이 기억에 근거한 판단과 구매의도에 미치는 효과 (A Study on in Influence on the Memory-Based Judgement and Purchase Intention upon Temporal Distance and Prior Kowledge in Preannouncing Strategy)

  • 본 연구는 기업들의 프리어나운싱 전략에 있어 제품 출시와 관련한 시간적 거리(가까운 미래/ 먼 미래)와 사전지식 수준(고지식/ 저지식)에 따라 기억에 근거한 판단(종합적인 제품판단/ 개별적인 제품판단)과 구매의도 간의 차이가 어떻게 차별적으로 나타나는지를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 프리어나운싱의 시간적 거리의 주 효과에 따른 기억에 근거한 판단과 구매의도간의 차이는 일관되게 종합적인 제품판단보다 개별적인 제품판단의 인식이 높게 나타났으며, 구매의도도 높았다. 둘째, 프리어나운싱 제품에 대한 지식 수준이 높으면 종합적인 제품판단에 비해 개별적인 제품판단을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지식 수준이 낮으면 개별적인 제품판단보다 종합적인 제품판단을 하는 것으로 나타났으나 구매의도는 고지식 수준의 소비자들이 체계적인 정보처리를 통한 태도가 구매의도로 이어져 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 프리어나운싱의 시간적 거리와 지식 수준에 따른 상호작용 효과에 대한 연구 결과 가까운 미래 조건에서 지식 수준이 높은 소비자들은 종합적인 제품 판단보다 개별적인 제품 판단이 높게 나타났다. 반면, 먼 미래 조건에서 지식 수준이 낮은 소비자들은 개별적인 제품판단보다 종합적인 제품 판단을 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다.

융·복합시대에 컨설턴트 간 신뢰가 지식공유 활동을 매개로 컨설팅 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Mediating Effect of Knowledge Sharing Activity on the Effect of Trust between Consultants on Consulting Satisfaction in the Convergence era)

  • 본 연구는 융 복합 시대에 컨설팅 협업 과정에서 컨설턴트 간 신뢰가 지식공유 활동을 매개로 컨설팅 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 수행되었다. 신뢰는 역량기반신뢰와 배려기반신뢰로 각각 나누어 그 영향 정도를 알아보고자 하였다. 현업에서 활동하는 컨설턴트들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 회귀분석을 통하여 가설을 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 컨설턴트 간 역량기반신뢰와 배려기반신뢰 모두 지식공유 활동과 컨설팅 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 역량기반신뢰가 높을수록 그 영향 정도는 좀 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 지식공유 활동은 컨설턴트 간 신뢰와 컨설팅 만족도와의 영향 관계를 부분 매개하였다. 융 복합시대에 지식의 형태는 더욱 다양한 모습으로 나타나고 있다. 컨설팅 만족도를 높이기 위해 컨설턴트 스스로 자신의 역량을 제고할 뿐 아니라 지속적인 지식의 축적과 지식공유 활동에 대한 좀 더 구체적인 방안을 연구해볼 필요가 있다.

신규 인터넷 서비스 기획 과정에서의 사용자 역할 : 불명료한 개발 초기의 단계에서 지식 창조 과정을 중심으로 (The User's Role in New Internet Service Development : Focusing on the Knowledge Creation Process in Fuzzy Front End)

  • 새로운 서비스 개발 초기 단계에서 지식의 창조는 서비스의 성공에 중요한 역할을 한다. 개발 초기 단계에서 사용자는 지식을 창조하는 데 중요한 자원으로 활용되며, 이를 위해 사용자와 개발자 간의 계속적인 상호 작용, 즉 사용자 관여가 필요하다. 사용자의 역할은 정보를 제공하는 역할, 자문하는 역할, 참여하는 역할, 3 가지로 나눌 수 있으며, 역할의 차이에 따라 지식 창조의 과정 또한 달라지게 된다. 이러한 배경에서 본 연구는 인터넷 서비스 개발 초기 단계에서 사용자의 역할에 따라 어떠한 지식 창조 과정을 거쳐야 실제 서비스 개발에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 지 알아보기 위해 2 가지의 신규 프로젝트를 대상으로 사례 연구를 실시하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 개발 초기 단계에서 지식 창조의 과정과 사용자 역할 간의 관계를 규명함과 동시에 실제 서비스 개발을 위한 사용자 관여의 가이드라인을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.
