  • This paper describes the knowledge extraction for image understanding in knowledge based system. The current set of low level processes operate on the numerical pixel arrays, to segment the image into region and to convert the image into directional image, and to calculate feature for these regions. The current set of intermedate level processes operate on the results of earlier knowledge source to build more complex representations of the data. We have grouped into thee categories : feature based classification, geometric token relation, perceptual organization and grouping.

  • Considering the fact that PCK(pedogogical content knowledge) tends to guarantee the identity of mathematics education as a discipline and the teacher professionalism, PCK is one of the core concepts in the research on subject matter education. The purpose of this study is to review domestic and international researches on the definition and the components of PCK in mathematics. Based on the review, this study identified 3 knowledges which consist PCK; knowedge of mathematic content, knowledge of learner's understanding, and knowledge of teaching. Then this study provided some examples of PKC in the topic, the limit of sequences, and introduced the LMT and TEDS-M items, which were designed to measure the teacher's PCK. Lastly, this study attempted to evaluate the items on mathematics education included in the Teacher Employment Test administered for pre-service/. teachers in Korea based on PCK.

  • This paper presents a methodology in which the knowledge of design intents and change requests is communicated unambiguously cross collaboration partners through features. The domain of application is focused on the plastic part design for enabling effective collaboration between the product design and plastic mold making. The methodology takes the feature-based design approach and allows design features and knowledge to be reused in plastic injection mold design. It shortens the mold design lead-time, reduces mold design efforts, and enables unambiguous and fast design change management between product and mold designers. These contribute to the reduction of product development cycle time.

  • This paper describes an experimental Knowledge-Based Control System, named KBCS, for manufacturing and assembly. The KBCS of five parts and function : data-base, knowledge acquisition, optimization, and graphic monitoring. The KBCS is utilized for a FMS which is of five machine centers and automatic assembly lines. Each machine can perform almost all manufacturing functions which some difference in efficiency. Buffers store temporarily the incoming components and the outing components. Parts arrive at assembly lines after many steps of manufacturing, and the transfer path and time are determined by procedural knowledge of control systems. Nine different incoming components are set up. The total control system is expected to perform four algorithms, timing algorithm ,sequencing algorithm, penalty algorithm, and cart algorithm. The construction of controller require basic components of manufacturing systems in which knowledges are formulated on the base of the results and the repeated simulation of KBCS with graphic monitoring system. Simulation results by KBCS are compared with those by the other rules of manufacturing.

  • Construction industry included speciality compare with others industry. Systemically approach and enterprise cultural approach is required in order to perform Knowledge Management in construction industry. But, most of construction enterprise immersed in system approach to perform Knowledge Management, in this reason caused failure of Knowledge Management. To resolve the structural contradiction, Learning organization based the Community of Practice(CoP) is studied in this paper.

  • This paper describes IDMS, a graph-based modeling system that supports problem structuring. We employs influence diagram as a problem representation tool, that is, a modeling tool. In particular, IDMS is designed as domain-independent shell. Therefore, a modeler can change the contents of the knowledge base to suit his/her own interested domain. Since the knowledge base of IDMS contains both modeling knowledge and domain knowledge, IDMS provides not only the syntactic support for modeling tool, but also the semantic support for problem domain. To apply the method in the real world context, we tested IDMS on the process selection problem in business reengineering, which is typical semi-structured problem.

  • The role of equipment maintenance in manufacturing becomes important. As a method of overcoming this problems, diagnostic expert system has been introduced. If such a system is, however, based on the troubleshooter's knowledge, many difficult cases are occured in the real process of diagnosis using that kind of system. This paper suggests to use the designer's knowledge for diagnosing the malfunctions of production equipments. To do that, a method of knowledge represen-tation is also proposed, which is based on the concept of boundary factors. In addition, the disorder propagation in considered. As a results, one can simplify the process of reasoning and inspection.

  • This paper describes a new data-handing, based on a Spatial Human Interface as human indicator, to the Spatial-Knowledge-Tags (SKT) in the spatial memory the Spatial Human Interface (SHI) is a new system that enables us to facilitate human activity in a working environment. The SHI stores human activity data as knowledge and activity history of human into the Spatial Memory in a working environment as three-dimensional space where one acts, and loads them with the Spatial-Knowledge-Tags(SKT) by supporting the enhancement of human activity. To realize this, the purpose of SHI is to construct new relationship among human and distributed networks computers and sensors that is based on intuitive and simultaneous interactions. In this paper, the specified functions of SKT and the realization method of SKT are explained. The utility of SKT is demonstrated in designing a robot motion control.

  • In the educational environment of the post-COVID-19 era, metaverse learning, which can improve the disadvantages of online learning and improve learning outcomes, is attracting attention. Metaverse is expected to play an important role as a learning experience platform (LXP) that can provide immersion and experience for learners. In order to successfully introduce and utilize metaverse learning that utilizes the metaverse platform, teachers' knowledge of metaverse-related technologies and pedagogical convergence is important. So far, teacher knowledge for educational use of the metaverse has not been explored. In this regard, this study explored the TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical And Content Knowledge) framework as a teacher's knowledge system for metaverse learning. Based on this, this study designed the class contents of metaverse learning. The results of this study are expected to diffuse the importance of TPACK required for metaverse learning and contribute to the development of teachers' competence.

  • The value of intangible assets of a company attracts attention in enterprise management environment drastically changing. Following such a trend, many companies have adopted knowledge management. Especially in construction industry of which success of a project is easily affected by the capacity of various participants and work performers, we may find many cases to which the knowledge managements have been adopted. However, the domestic design companies have tended to be late to introduce the knowledge management or have difficulty in effective use of KMS already constructed. This study suggests KMS based on BPM (Business Process Management) and drives its effects to improve problems mentioned above. We drives the expected effects by studying the existing studies and surveying domestic design companies and suggests Prototype for introducing a real system.
