전자상거래를 이용한 도서구매 프로세서의 재설계에 관한 연구 (Reengineering of The Process of Book Purchases by using Electronic Commerce)

  • It is certain that EC(Electronic Commerce) applying the internet will be activated in the knowledge society of 21 century based on IT(Information Technology). Though this change of social environment helps the useful information resource available to expand, it looks like that the rapid inclease in lots of information to gather makes colleges, reseach laboratories and public institutions to spend more man power and money on work of book purchases than before and now. Therefore the most urgent part for the business process reengineering in work of information service center is the business of book purchases. The business of book purchases is the core part in organizations and facilities. It should construct the books which the organigation and facility need in the most economical and efficient way within the range of physically receptive capacity with the limited budget. These organigations and facilities have to establish the policy of the book stock which they should possess and also librarians should endeavour to configure the kernel book stock constantly. I assert that they need to ensure a specialty with the improvement of business process accompanying choosing and purchasing the books. Especially, in a case of purchasing foreign books by request of members like professors, students, researcher and so on they have to replace the business of book purchase using agency with direct dealing using EC. This Business Process Reengineering will cut down on expenses, offer the transparency of book purchases and also give the users confidence. Moreover the Business Process Reengineering make it possible to build well constructed main books and information resource. The people in charge are enabled to acquire the knowledge of subjects with contiuous search for books of a spcial area and self-study. These experts in work will raise the quality of information service. Information service center will be the core in the 21c knowledge industry. To streng then value of it, efficiently run it and control it the existing business of book purchasing should be replace with direct dealing using EC applying the internet.

  • The 21/sup st/ century is a society based on knowledge, so in economic activities, it has emphasized the importance of information such as intellectual property or intangible asserts. Especially, according to the agreement on trade related as parts of intellectual property rights in WTO, it is used as the method of commercial entente and monopoly for intellectual property in an advanced nation. For this reason, WIPO and UNESCO discussed a complement for intellectual property on the foundation of traditional knowledge such as traditional knowledge (TK), genetic resources (GR) and traditional cultural expressions (TCE, folklore). Korea has a lot of knowledge falling under TK, GR, and TCE because of the long history of the country. In the case of traditional medical care, it has been used in the public health system. It is hard to apply these rights to traditional medical care of Korea because the laws of intellectual property have been established under the ideas of western culture. It is necessary to improve the classification system of traditional knowledge and patents. In the patent classified system of IPC, it needs to be related to the research between the classified system for massive technology and the classified system for traditional clinic technology.

StrokePortal: a Complete Stroke Information Resource Based on Oriental and Western Medicine

  • Stroke, also called an attack on the brain, is a complex disease that results from the interaction of many genetic and environmental factors. StrokePortal is a comprehensive resource for information on stroke that integrates and provides essential findings regarding stroke pathology, diagnostics, and treatments, based on Oriental and Western medicine. The stroke information was collected from various sources, such as journal articles, books, websites, and news stories, and it was refined, classified, and stored into a relational database system by automatic classification and manual curation. To provide the stored information effectively to users, a specialized retrieval system, based on web interfaces, was implemented. StrokePortal provides cutting-edge information to experts; interested people, including patients and their families; and investigators to broaden their knowledge of effective treatments for patients and offer many preventive measures. It provides a specialized feature with which users can upload their information and opinions to StrokePortal, which will enrich and mature the content even further. Joint Relay Selection and Resource Allocation for Cooperative OFDMA Network

  • In this paper, the downlink resource allocation of OFDMA system with decode-and-forward (DF) relaying is investigated. A non-convex optimization problem maximizing system throughput with users' satisfaction constraints is formulated with joint relay selection, subcarrier assignment and power allocation. We first transform it to a standard convex problem and then solve it by dual decomposition. In particular, an Optimal resource allocation scheme With Time-sharing (OWT) is proposed with combination of relay selection, subcarrier allocation and power control. Due to its poor adaption to the fast-varying environment, an improved version with subcarrier Monopolization (OWM) is put forward, whose performance promotes about 20% compared with that of OWT in the fast-varying vehicular environment. In fact, OWM is the special case of OWT with binary time-sharing factor and OWT can be seen as the tight upper bound of the OWM. To the best of our knowledge, such algorithms and their relation have not been accurately investigated in cooperative OFDMA networks in the literature. Simulation results show that both the system throughput and the users' satisfaction of the proposed algorithms outperform the traditional ones.

지식 관리 역량의 구조 및 기업 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (The Structure of Knowledge Management Capability and Its Impact on Organizational Performance)

  • 최근 몇 년 동안 연구자들과 실무자들에게 중요한 이슈가 되고 있는 것은 기업의 성과를 향상시키기 위한 지식 관리 역량이 어떠한 구조로 이루어져 있는가 하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 자원 근간 이론과 지식 근간 이론에 대한 심도 있는 논의를 통해 이 이슈에 대한 답을 찾고자하였다. 이 두 가지 이론들을 바탕으로 지식 관리에 관련된 기존 문헌의 심도 있는 검토와 실무자들과의 인터뷰를 통해 지식 관리 역량의 6가지 중요한 차원들을 도출하였다. 그런 다음, 지식관리 역량의 통합적 개념 모델을 제안하고 이 지식 관리 역량이 기업의 성과와 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 분석하였다. 한국에서 전사적으로 지식 관리 시스템을 도입한 기업들로부터 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 PLS 분석을 실시하여 본 연구에서 제시한 모델을 검증하였다. 이 분석을 통해 실무자들과 연구자들에게 지식 관리 역량에 대한 의미 있는 결과와 향후 보다 효과적인 지식관리에 대한 방향을 제시하였다.

정책정보서비스 활성화를 위한 정책정보 자료원의 특성 연구 (Investigating the Characteristics of Policy Information Resources for Activating Policy Information Services)

  • 정책연구기관에서 생산되는 지식정보자원의 특성을 연구하기 위해 연구과정의 지식정보자원, 연구결과의 지식정보자원, 연구결과 가공의 지식정보자원으로 구분하고, 13개 정책연구기관 홈페이지에서 지식정보자원의 명칭과 메타데이터 항목과 8개 유형별 특화 지식정보자원의 제공 현황을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 정책연구기관 홈페이지가 관련분야 지식자원관리시스템의 역할을 수행하는 것을 확인하였다. 연구 제언으로, 동일한 연구주제에 따른 연구결과물의 종합적 검색시스템 구성, 정책정보의 지식맵 개발, 정책당국자용 연구결과물의 압축 가공, 주제 전문가 데이터베이스 구축, 영상보고서의 제작, 메타데이터 표준의 개발, 주제 분야별 통계 데이터베이스와 지표 등의 개발을 제안하였다.

팀 네트워크 특성과 경계관리 활동이 지식경영 성과에 미치는 영향: 팀 신뢰의 매개역할 (The Effects of Team Network Characteristics and Boundary Spanning Activities on Knowledge Management Performances: The Mediating Role of Trust)

  • The effective management of knowledge has become one of the critical success factors in current organizations. In spite of the extensive use of Knowledge Management System (KMS), useful information and knowledge resources are still transmitted through personal networks among people in organizations. Thus, social network theory which focuses on social relationships in organization can be a fruitful theoretical resource for enhancing Knowledge Management (KM) performances. In this study, we investigate the effects of intra-team network characteristics (i.e., group density and degree of centralization) and external boundary spanning activities on knowledge management performances of a team. We also acknowledge that all group members do not necessarily agree on the team goal and actively disseminate useful information and knowledge. Drawing on the political perspective on KM which emphasizes the role of trust among group members, we examine the mediating effects of team trust between internal/external network characteristics and KM performances. From the data of 220 teams in financial companies in Korea, we found that: (1) group density had positive effects on KM performances (i.e., knowledge creation, sharing, and use). (2) However, centralization was not significantly associated with KM performances. (3) Team trust was found to be an important factor mediating the relationship between intra-team network characteristics, boundary spanning activities, and KM performances. Based on these results, we discuss and suggest possible implications of the findings when designing and implementing KM practices.

  • To provide an appropriate knowledge representation technique dependent on a particular domain, we consider the combine analytic hierachy process(CAHP). This is an extended method of the conventional AHP which is useful when two different expert groups are involved. Our problem domain is confined to human resource management including such major activities as planning, selection, placement, compensations, performance evaluation, training, and labor-management relations. We prioritize rules, frames, semantic nets, and predicate logic representation techniques best suited to each and all domains through an exploratory study.

  • 지식기반사회에 있어서 과학기술지식정보는 국가의 부존자원이며 경쟁력의 원천이라 할 수 있다. 또한 연구자의 연구 및 기술개발에 있어서 과학기술지식정보 중요성이 날로 증가하고 있으며, 고객의 요구도 다양화 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 과학기술지식정보를 이용하고 있는 고객의 다양한 요구 및 의견을 적극적으로 반영하여 효율적인 고객 대응 전략을 수립하고, 이를 기반으로 상시적인 고객 서비스 응대, 고객 모니터링, 서비스 개선, 고객 만족도 제고를 위한 표준화된 통합 Help Desk 시스템을 개발하였다.

A Study on the Strategy of Resolving Impediments to Use of Digital Resources : The Case of Korean Public Libraries

  • In this study, users' perceptions and concerns about digital information resources were investigated, focusing on impediments to the use of digital resources, to devise measures for improvement by identifying factors that hinder the use of digital information resources. To achieve the purpose of the study, the research identifies the inconvenien ce factors and establishes the user inconvenience list based on prior research and the current status survey. Based on the derived list, a survey was conducted on users of public libraries. Through this study, it was found that the use of digital information resources can be enhanced by improving the internal library system. Specifically, it refers to improving search performance and accessibility of digital data, providing one-stop services for digital information resources through the operation of an integrated data management system, conducting customized user education, and establishing a digital information resource preservation system, e.g. web archiving. Also, improving the external environment and system, such as contracting with more libraries for digitized data use agreements, strengthening support, unifying the names and classifications of digital information resources, and simplifying the procedure for using digital information resources, is of great importance.
