  • Purpose : This study was performed to distinguish the muscle activation of vastus medialis and biceps femoris through open and closed kinetic chain exercise. Methods : 31 healthy male and female students in Daegu Health College were participated in this study. All subjects were conducted three types open and closed kinetic chain exercises to examine muscle activity during the last four seconds using the sEMG system. Collected EMG data were normalized using the maximal voluntary isometric contraction(MVIC). Results : MVIC of each muscle was showed significantly increased(p<0.5). In the case of open chain exercise, the type 3 exercise most increased than type 2 and 3 exercise in vastus medialis than biceps femoris muscle. The closed chain exercise presented type 6 exercise most increased than type 4 and 5 exercise in biceps femoris than vastus medialis. Conclusion : This study finally proved that muscle activity which maintains stability of knee differ from depending on the types of exercises. Therefore, the combination of the two chain exercises is believed to greatly contribute to increments in muscle activity.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to improve the stroke patient's gait ability by applying a closed or kinetic chain lower limb exercise Methods : The study subjects were 48 hospitalized hemiplegic patients who agreed to participate in the study. 48 subjects went through the intervention: 24 in the experimental group and 24 in the control group. One set consisted of 10 repeats of the exercise. The subjects performed three sets of the exercise once a day, 5 times a week, for 6 weeks. Results : TUG and FGA were significantly improved in the experimental group. The spatio-temporal gait variables in the experimental group all showed significant improvement. In the control group, velocity, cadence, and double limb support showed significant improvement, Trunk sway angle showed significant improvement in all three axes in both groups. Conclusion : The results of this study indicate that a more positive effect in terms of improvement of the stroke patient's gait ability will be seen for closed rather than open kinetic chain lower limb resistance exercise.

  • Batch adsorption tests were performed to evaluate the applicability of adsorption kinetic model by using hydrogel chitosan bead crosslinked with glutaraldehyde (HCB-G) for Cu(II) as cation and/or phosphate as anion. Pseudo first and second order model were applied to determine the sorption kinetic property and intraparticle and Boyd equation were used to predict the diffusion of Cu(II) and phosphate at pore and boundary-layer, respectively. According to the value of theoretical and experimental uptake of Cu(II) and phosphate, pseudo second order is more suitable. On comparison with the value of adsorption rate constant (k), phosphate kinetic was 2-4 times faster than that of Cu(II) at any experimental condition indicating the electrostatic interaction between ${NH_3}^+$ and phosphate is dominated at the presence of single component. However, when Cu(II) and phosphate simultaneously exist, the value of k for phosphate was sharply decreased and then the difference was not significant. Both diffusion models confirmed that the sorption rate was controlled by film mass transfer at the beginning time (t < 3 hr) and pore diffusion at next time section (t > 6 hr).

  • The purpose of the study is to survey the needs of the elderly for ICT-based Elderly Home Remodeling by Applying Kinetic Principle. This is conducted for elderly people over 60 years old living in Seoul and Gangreung district. The study is performed by the following approaches: First, This study is based on 'the Elements of Planning for ICT-based elderly Home Remodeling by applying Kinetic Principle'(Lee 2018). Second, the needs survey for house remodeling was conducted for elderly. Finally, To analyze the required characteristics of the elderly for remodeling by using SPSS statistics 25 analysis program. The conclusion of this study is as follows. Priority elements for house remodeling should be provided to ensure the safety of the elderly through emergency call buttons, glucometer, pressure-measuring gauge, weighing instruments, and warning devices. Kinetic principles should be applied to make minimal structural changes, as easy as possible remodeling, and devices should be designed to be easy to operate.

  • The wave-kinetic numerical method is used in simulating the irradiance scintillations of optical wave through a two-dimensional random medium containing weak Gaussian fluctuations of the refractive index. The results are compared to existing analytical or numerical results. The wave-kinetic method is a phase-space ray-tracing method for certain key ray trajectories, and the irradiance is calculated by reconstructing the entire beam from these trajectories. The strength of the wave-kinetic method lies in the fact that it can be applied to any type of random media.

  • The effect of cell density on cell growth was investigated in a suspension batch culture of hybridoma cells. The specific growth rate was found to increase with increasing initial cell density and then to decrease with further increases in initial cell density. In order to quantitatively describe the dependence of specific growth rate on cell density, a kinetic model is proposed, which satisfactorily represents the experimental data.

  • This study is to modify the EUTRO5(sub-model of WASP5) for applying river water quality simulation. Because previous version of EUTRO5 has unique kinetic constant for all segement on each constituent, EUTRO5 is not adequate for some river simulation. As this version have each kinetic constant for all segment on each constituent, it will be suitable for model application with rapid changing geometry and kinetic purification of upstream river.

  • An efficient dynamic kinetic resolution of racemic ${\beta}$-hydroxyalkylferrocene and 1,1'-bis( ${\beta}$-hydroxyalkyl)-ferrocene derivatives was achieved using lipase/ruthenium-catalyzed transesterification in the presence of an acyl donor. The racemic ${\beta}$-hydroxyalkylferrocene derivatives were successfully transformed to the corresponding chiral acetates of high optical purities in high yields.

  • Irreversible photobleaching of bacteriorhodopsin (bR), namely denaturation induced by illumination of visible light, was investigated by absorption kinetic measurements. The denaturation kinetics revealed that light illumination significantly enhanced the structural decay of bR. The kinetic analyses showed that the molecular structure of bR denatures according to a single-exponential decay, whereas irreversible photobleaching has two decay components. The decay constant of the slow component of photobleaching is almost same as that in the dark. An Arrhenius plot of the denaturation kinetic constants for the fast and slow components showed similar activation energies of approximately 19 kcal/mol.

  • The object of this study is to investigate the penetration characteristics according to the change of stacking sequences and curvature radius in the composite laminated shell. They are staked to [02/902]S and [0/902/0]s, their interlaminar number are two and four. We are manufactured to composite laminated shells with various curvature radius. Curvature radius of composite shell is 100, 150, 200mm and ${\infty}$(it's meaning flat-plate). In general, kinetic energy after impact-kinetic energy before impact increased linearly in all specimens. Absorbed energy increased linearly as the curvature increased, and absorbed energy of [02/902]S specimen, which is small interlaminar number, was higher than [0/902/0]s specimen.
