  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of pre-service curriculums for child care teachers at universities and colleges in Korea. To accomplish this, a survey was implemented to gather the lists of courses from each department training pre-service child care teachers. A total of 225 departments at universities and colleges across Korea participated in the survey. The results showed that the 37 different courses offered for child-care teacher licensure were different by school type (university or college) and major. Departments in colleges with specific majors such as early childhood education and social welfare offer courses that are also required for other certificates, including kindergarten teachers or social workers, so pre-service child care teachers may not have the opportunity to take courses specifically designed for their specific teaching needs or interests. Accordingly, there may be a restricted number of courses from which to choose during pre-service training periods. Based on the findings from this study, several political implications for improving child-care teacher professionalism were suggested.

The subjects of this study consisted of two classes of children aged 5 at H Kindergarten in Busan city. This study involved a class of 31 children using a music and science integrated curriculum as the experimental group and another class of 32 children using a traditional music and science curriculum as the control group. The integrated activities were used 12 times over a 6-week period. A test was taken to evaluate the effects of the integrated activities on the children's understanding on seven sub-categories of musical concepts and six sub-categories of science inquiry process skills. The results were that the experimental group showed significantly higher improvements in all subcategories of musical concept and science inquiry process skills, compared to the control group. • The importance of information education is recognized at home and abroad, and education policies are changing in the direction of expanding informatics education. Therefore, in this study, an elementary school information curriculum content system was developed by forming an expert group consisting of professors at the University of Education and the College of Education working in the Department of Computer Education and elementary and secondary information teachers with experience in curriculum development. Specifically, a content system was developed for the area of elementary school information education with linkage and hierarchy with the secondary information curriculum in the 2022 revised curriculum, core ideas for each area, content elements for each area, and instructional content for each grade level. Through this study, connectivity was secured in information education in elementary and secondary schools, and it is meaningful that the content elements of digital literacy were included in each content area. It is expected that the content system of the elementary school information curriculum proposed in this study will be helpful as a basic data for the development of certified textbooks and independence of information subjects in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze teaching method of addition and subtraction of whole number in Korea and New Zealand lower grade textbook and to get some suggestive points to develop mathematics curriculum and for a qualitative improvement of textbook. To do this, we will analyze focusing on teaching material, type and method of teaching, cases of real teaching and in the case of New Zealand, we will analyze portfolios together to see what kind of things do they deal with related to addition and subtraction. From these analyzing, the results are as follows: First, the guideline of accomplishment of group of year are stated in 2009 revised curriculum in Korea but it is rough. On the other hand, the level of accomplishment from kindergarten to high school are stated divided by eight kinds of thing in New Zealand curriculum. Second, there were common and different points in the aspect of teaching material. The common points are that both of our Korea and New Zealand are using materials related to real life intimately and the diifferent points are to use technology such as calculator and computer. They are more widely used in New Zealand than our Korea. Third, Korea had used routine method mainly but New Zealand had used method to develop creativity of learner such as to write problem corresponding to expression, posing problem corresponding to information, to complete table and find pattern and to write word problem to explain pattern and so on. Fourth, we could see special calculation strategies in the case of teaching addition and subtraction such as concept of double, compensation, various strategy based on counting of number, addition of the same number, magic square, near-double which are not finding in our mathematics textbook. Fifth, in the New Zealand textbook they had used teaching methods inducing curiosity of learner such as finding message and puzzle problem than solving given problem simply.

A iterative learning model utilizing SNS & Community in teachers leading traditional off-line teaching at college education field was applied separately into thinking to one-self by advance organizer, thinking together by presentation in the beginning of the class, and sharing the thoughts by community activities after the class. Iterative learning begins by being sent SNS to students from teachers before the class, but learners for themselves subsequently start to proceed self-directed learning activities. As a result, class satisfaction and understanding of pedagogy have been increased, and it had a positive influence on self-efficacy. Thus, it is to suggest utilizable SNS of professors and a teaching method utilizing Community to college students who need basic learning skills.

First, for special education subjects, a considerable number of kindergarten processes are required for compulsory education, and special education subjects are selected for elementary school entrance. Second, the factors of choosing the special educational institution of parents of special education subjects are the expertise of the teacher and the operation of the curriculum, the type and extent of child disability, the distance to school and the way of commuting, educational facilities, Treatment room etc). Thirdly, it was found that parents' choices are the largest among schools in the school area, as to how special education institutions of special education subjects are arranged. For proper placement planning, it is necessary to accurately grasp the number of subjects for special education, so the selection time of the subjects of special education shall be the process of kindergarten at the latest, the disparity of special education institutions and the disparity of educational facilities It is necessary to set school books to solve it.
