약한 키를 가지는 대화식 영지식 증명의 안전성 강화 방법과 그 응용 (A Method to Enhance the Security of ZKIP with Weak Keys and Its Application)

  • 본 논문에서는 약한 키를 가지는 대화식 영지식 증명을 이용한 인증 프로토콜의 안전성을 강화하는 방법을 제시한다. 일반적으로 대화식 영지식 증명을 이용한 인증 프로토콜은 충분히 길고 랜덤한 비밀키를 가정하고 그 비밀키에 대한 영지식 증명을 수행하게 된다. 하지만 때에 따라서 충분히 길지 않거나 랜덤하지 않은 비밀키가 선택될 수 있다. 즉, 좋지 않은 난수 발생기를 써야 하는 경우, 또는 패스워드처럼 의도적으로 약한 키를 사용하는 경우가 생기며, 대화식 영지식 증명은 이에 적합하지 않다고 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 비밀 동전 던지기(Secret Coin Tossing)라는 개념을 제시해서, 일반적인 영지식 증명을 이용한 인증 프로토콜을 약한 키를 가지는 영지식 증명 기반 인증 프로토콜로 쉽게 변환할 수 있는 프레임웍을 제안한다. 또한, 이 프레임웍을 이용해서 설계된 인증 프로토롤이 ideal cipher mode에서 안전함을 보인다.

  • 본 논문에서는 공개키가 사용될 때만 공개키 정당성을 검증할수 있다는 Girault의 자체인증공개 키 방식의 단점을 개선한 검증가능한 자체인증 공개키 방식의 개념을 이용하여 고차잉여류 에 기반한 검 증 가능한 자체인증 방식(키분배 방식. 개인식별 방식 디지털 서명방식 등)을 제안한다. 제 안한 방식의 안정성은 고차잉여류와 이산대수 문제에 기반을 두고 있다. In this paper we propose the verifiable self-certified schemes(key distribution scheme identification scheme digital signature scheme) based on ${\gamma}$th -residuosity which make up for defects of Girault's self-certified schemes allow the authenticity of public keys to be verified during the use of the keys. The security of our schemes is based on the difficulty of ${\gamma}$th -residuosity problem and discrete logarithm problem simultaneously.

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 육안적(肉眼的) 특성(特性)에 의한 목재식별(木材識別)의 속보(續報)로써 앞으로 생산가능(生産可能)한 한국산(韓國産) 단판수종(單板樹種)의 현미경적(顯微鏡的) 목재특성(木材特性)을 조사(調査)하여 합판공업(合板工業)에 필요(必要)한 기초자료(基礎資料)를 제공하기 위하여 실시(實施)하였다. 선정(選定)된 50수종(樹種)의 현미경적(顯微鏡的) 특성(特性)을 조사(調査)하여 수종별(樹種別)로 기재(記載)하였고 이를 바탕으로 하여 침엽수재(針葉樹材) 및 활엽수재별(闊葉樹材別)로 목재식별(木材識別) 검색표(檢索表)를 간략(簡略)하게 보고(報告)하면 다음과 같다.

白首烏와 耳葉牛皮消의 내부형태 감별기준 (Microscopic Identification-keys for Cynanchi Wilfordii Radix and Cynanchi Auriculati Radix)

  • Objectives : The root ofCyanchum wifordii(CW) had been used as herbal medicine, 'Baeksuo', in Korea. However, the root ofCynanchum auriculatum(CA) had also been mis-used as 'Baeksuo' in herbal markets, due to its morphological similarity with CW. This study aimed to compare discriminative features and establish the identification-keys between two herbal medicines using microscopic methods.Methods : Microscopic preparations including fixation, rapid dehydration, paraffin infiltration, paraffin embedding, sectioning, mounting, and staining, were performed and the microscopic features between CW and CA samples were compared.Results : The starch grain of parenchymal cells, the amounts of calcium oxalate crystals, cell sizes, and the shape of phloem were not different between CW and CA samples. However, the clusters of stone cells which were conglomerated at outer cortex were apparently observed in CA sample (4~8 layers of stone cells), but not in CW sample (2~4 layers of stone cells, or not). Xylem of CW consisted of several vessels and fiber bundles which were formed as linear shapes and discontinuous radial lines, while that of CA, in which radial lines was not observed, were shaped as a wedge and scattered near cambium with comparatively few fiber bundles enclosed vessels. Especially, in the xylem of CA, fiber bundles located towards cambium were relatively more developed than those located outward cambium.Conclusions : The identification-keys established in this study would be helpful to discriminate microscopic features between CW and CA.

쿠키 기반의 TLS/SSL 인증서 공개키의 확인 (Cookie-Based Identification of the Public Keys of TLS/SSL Certificates)

  • HTTP 쿠키(cookie)를 활용하여, 웹 사이트의 인증서 검증이 실패하였을 때 해당 사이트의 공개키를 확인하는 방법을 제시한다. 제안 방식은 속임수에 의해 가짜 사이트로 접속하도록 유도하는 피슁(phishing) 공격에 대해 효과적인 방어 수단이 된다. 제안 방식은 간단한 사용자 인증정보의 입력 처리와 쿠키의 암호화 및 검증 과정의 구현을 요구하나, 정상 동작 상황에서 브라우저 및 웹 사이트 운용 서버 어느 쪽에도 성능상의 추가 부담을 거의 지우지 않는다.

독활(獨活)과 그 위품의 감별기준 연구 : 외·내부형태 및 이화학패턴을 중심으로 (A Study on Identification Keys of Araliae Continentalis Radix and its Adulterants : Focused on External·Internal Morphology and Pattern Analysis)

  • Objectives : Araliae Continentalis Radix(AC) is a medicinal herb belonging to the drug efficacy group treating musculoskeletal disorders(MSD) with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic action. However, due to morphologic and onomastic similarity, adulterants(Angelicae Pubescentis Radix: AP, Gypsophilae Oldhamianae Radix: GO, Levistici Officinalis Radix: LO) have been included or replaced the standard. Methods : Multilateral methods were carried out on the identification of AC and its adulterants. Macroscopic and microscopic characteristics were observed by using stereoscope and microscope. For the comparison of chromatogram pattern, standard compounds were analyzed simultaneously using high performance liquid chromatography. Results : 1. The macroscopic identification of original plants was determined by the phyllotaxis type, the inflorescence type, the leaf margin and the color of flowers. The macroscopic identification of herbal materials was examined by oil spots, the cambium, heteromorphic vascular bundles, and the pholem. 2. For the microscopic identification, the fact whether its xylem ray is proliferated or not was first determined. Then medicinal herbs were secondly divided by cellular inclusions, fiber bundles, the distribution of secretary canals and the shape of cambium. 3. AC and its adulterants showed different chromatographic fingerprints. AC was containing continentalic acid and kaurenoic acid. AP was containing osthole and columbianadin. LO was containing osthole and falcarindiol. None of the compounds were found in GO. Conclusions : This recent identification keys of might be helpful to discriminate the pharmacopoeia standard and its adulterants for the right usage in clinics.

  • Objectives : Peucedani Radix ('Jeonho' in Korean) is the root of Peucedanum praeruptorum or Angelica decursiva. However, the root of Anthriscus sylvestris has usually been distributed as Jeonho. This study was performed to determine the discriminative criteria of Jeonho, focused on distribution in Korean markets. Methods : We have determined identification keys to discriminate each Jeonho samples, through observation of external morphology of original plants, and the research of external and internal morphological features of dried Jeonho herbs. Results : Because of identical to the Korean plant name 'Jeonho', Anthrisci Radix had been came into use as a substitute of Jeonho in Korea during the time of Japanese colonial rule. The original plants of Jeonho and its substitute are discriminated with shape of leaf, leaf margin and color of stem. External morphological features of the medicinal herbs of Jeonho are different in the color of cross-sections, pellucid dot, white powder. Internal morphological points, such as fiber bundle of xylem, seconadary mudullary ray and ray of xylem were also used as discriminative criteria for Jeonho. Further details(e.g. identificaion keys) are in the article. Conclusions : We think that these discriminative criteria will be meaningful in identifying the substitutes and adulterants of Jeonho.

A visual identification key to Orchidaceae of Korea

  • Species identification is a fundamental and routine process in plant systematics, and linguistic-based dichotomous keys are widely used in the identification process. Recently, novel tools for species identification have been developed to improve the accuracy, ease to use, and accessibility related to these tasks for a broad range of users given the advances in information and communications technology. A visual identification key is such an approach, in which couplets consist of images of plants or a part of a plant instead of botanical terminology. We developed a visual identification key for 101 taxa of Orchidaceae in Korea and evaluated its performance. It uses short statements for image couplets to avoid misinterpretations by users. The key at the initial steps (couplets) uses relatively easy characters that can be determined with the naked eye. The final steps of the visual key provide images of species and information about distributions and flowering times to determine the species that best fit the available information. The number of steps required to identify a species varies, ranging from three to ten with an average of 4.5. A performance test with senior college students showed that species were accurately identified using the visual key at a rate significantly higher than when using a linguistic-based dichotomous key and a color manual. The findings presented here suggest that the proposed visual identification key is a useful tool for the teaching of biodiversity at schools, for the monitoring of ecosystems by citizens, and in other areas that require rapid, easy, and accurate identifications of species.

  • Biometrics is an application of biometric authentication and identification techniques that are used for security. Where people can be identified by physical or behavioral features such as iris, fingerprints, or even voice. Biometrics with cryptography can be used in a variety of applications such as issuing, generating, or associating biometric keys. Biometric identification and cryptography are used in many institutions and high-security systems due to the difficulty of tampering or forgery by hackers. In this paper, literature reviews on biometric identification and cryptography are presented and discussed. In addition to a comparison of techniques in the literature reviews, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, and providing an initial proposal for biometrics and cryptography.

The dorsal guard hair identification key of Korean small mammals (Rodentia and Lagomorpha)

  • We analyzed the hair microstructure of Korean small terrestrial mammals, such as Rodentia and Lagomorpha, to classify the characteristics of hair morphology. Micromys minutus showed a unicellular irregular type of medulla structures; on the other hand, the other mammals showed multicellular structures. Regarding the cuticular scale structures, the Rodentia species exhibited a narrow and broad diamond petal type, while the Lagomorpha species exhibited an elongated petal type. Interestingly, the hair cross-sections showed quite unique characteristics. We constructed hair identification keys to distinguish species with a single hair. The dichotomous key of Rodentia and Lagomorpha can be used for their behavioral ecology and dietary analysis of upper predators to serve as the basis for ecological research.
