The China has opened the distribution market completely since it joined the World Trade Organization on Dec 11 2001. The notable features of Chinese distribution market are the transition from the consumers' monolithic demand to diversification for the luxury goods, well-being products. The regional characteristics of consumers are smart, conservative, optimistic and advanced. and the open door policy has prompted the capitalistic economy gradually. We analyzed the Chinese distribution markets and came up with the following strategies. First, we recommend the setting of the key regional market not covering the whole chinese markets. then we can extend the main market step by step. Second, we need to cooperate and advance with the Korean distribution companies which entered into markets already. Third, we need to acquire the competitive and stable distribution channel in China. Fourth, we need to implement the localization strategy in terms of human resources and procurement. Fifth, the consignment management can be another strategy. I hope this research can be a little help to those who wish to expand to the Chinese markets.

For historical and political reasons, South Korea (hereafter Korea), Japan and China have not achieved much progress in regional energy cooperation for decades. However, the rising importance of Northeast Asia (NEA) in the world energy sphere, especially in the global oil market, is providing an opportunity to create an integrated oil market in the region. This study suggests the Northeast Asian Energy Corridor (NEAEC) Initiative as an effective conduit for raising the possibility of the Northeast Asian oil hub project. The NEAEC Initiative combines the model of Europe's Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) with Singapore's AsiaClear as a form of financial collaboration. The study suggests that an electronically integrated Over-the-Counter (OTC) market clearing mechanism accompanied by other key financial instruments among Korea, Japan and China can be an effective means for promoting financial collaboration in the region.

We analyze state-level matching efficiencies in the Indian labor market using stochastic frontier analysis. The key contribution of this research is the estimation of matching efficiencies at the state level because these can be used for a state-level measure of labor market conditions. Next, we explore the relationship between the estimated matching efficiencies and population density, labor market flexibility, and the Ease of Doing Business index, respectively. The results show that matching efficiency is heterogeneous across states with considerable variation in accordance with the regional diversity in India. However, we find that there is little relationship between the estimated matching efficiencies and the labor market conditions of interest, suggesting that other regional diversity affects matching efficiencies across states in India.

A major effect of electronic commerce on the Internet is that it reduces transaction costs and creates an efficient market. Thus, an information strategy for developing of regional economy must be changed toward 21st century of electronic commerce era. In this paper, we present an information strategy for activating the electronic commerce of regional small and medium-sized business organizations. The paper stresses creation of a network organization comprising local government, regional business organizations, universities, research institutes, and citizens' coalitions as groups of organizational actors. Necessary conditions of a successful network organization in electronic commerce are to build the public key infrastructure for developing the trust of transactions among partners, and to create an information center to manage a web of partners. In the network organization, the information center must play critical roles as a creator of value and the certification authority in order to issue and manage participants' electronic certificates.

Purpose This paper examines the role of local market-based communities in driving regional revitalization, using detailed analysis of online networks. We aim to dissect a local community's communication network, highlighting members with high engagement levels and exploring their characteristics. Our goal is to identify the conditions that allow local community networks to grow independently and to demonstrate how the activation of these networks contributes to regional revitalization. Design/methodology/approach We employ a mixed-methods approach, combining social network analysis with statistical techniques to investigate the structure of online communication networks. Specifically, we use ANOVA to determine the statistical significance of our findings, ensuring their reliability. To complement our quantitative data, we include qualitative insights from interviews, adding depth and context to our analysis. Findings Our results show that individuals with high centrality in the online network are crucial for maintaining active local communities. We find that leveraging local resources to create a supportive and adaptable environment is essential for the communities' sustainability and expansion. Importantly, our research draws a direct connection between the vitality of local community networks and the broader process of regional revitalization. We argue that energizing local communities is an effective way to address the risk of regional decline. By integrating quantitative analysis with qualitative feedback, this study contributes to the understanding of local market-based communities as key drivers of regional development. It emphasizes the importance of building vibrant, resourceful community networks to revitalize areas experiencing socio-economic challenges.

The purpose of this study is to examine France's regional development policy in terms of rural development since the end of World War II. Following decentralization in 1982, France's regional and rural development policies have been focused on the interrelated actions of government, local authorities and European authorities. The aim of their works was to extend the dispersal of industrial activities to the reorganization of the rural space. The rural development policies aimed to the agricultural modernization in the 1950s have differed in their goals, methods, and implements. France's regional and rural development clearly illustrates the key role played by the government despite the decentralization and the challenges of the europeanization leading to a unique market of European nations. This reinforces the fact that the government is instrumental in organizing population distribution and regulating regional decision centers to harmonize both national objectives and local authorities' concerns. The French experience will be helpful as reference in the field of regional and rural development for Korea which has recently begun decentralizing.

Competitive and reliable maritime transport services benefit the economy as a whole, and are key efficiency factors for the production of both goods and services. Although maritime transport sector is very liberalized compared to many other service sectors, certain obstacles must be overcome before full liberalization of the maritime transport can be realized. Particularly, maritime transport services in Northeast Asia are regulated by a complicated and outdated system. To remove these barkers two approaches can be used: a regional trading arrangement approach and a multilateral approach via WTO. However, multilateral efforts are not likely to be successful in achieving any concrete progress towards maritime transport liberalization in the short- to medium-term in Northeast Asia. Consequently, it may be the best to take the following two progressive approaches and to make them work towards liberalization of the maritime transport market: a bilateral approach and a trilateral approach. A gradual process of liberalization would expand the market, help operators achieve economies of scale, promote the international division of labor and specialization, enhance the effective management of shipping services, and promote the long-term interests and welfare of the user by improving service quality and diversifying services. A liberalized and integrated maritime transport market in Northeast Asia should achieve both of these long-run policy objectives by benefiting both the transport service users and the transport service providers. In order to move the maritime transport liberalization programs as quickly as possible, it is desirable to establish a "Regional Maritime Transport Liberalization Committee." We suggest it to be a Tripartite (China, Japan and Korea) Committee initially, which can later expand its membership to include other Northeast Asian countries.

This study investigates the occupational mobility patterns of young wage employees at the local level of the labor market and empirically examines the interplay between worker-level and local labor market-level determinants between 2010 and 2020. The 4th to 14th waves of the Youth Panel 2007 were integrated with the Korea Network for Occupations and Workers and the Local Area Labor Force Survey for estimation using hierarchical linear model. Our results indicate that Gross Regional Domestic Product per capita is key determinant of occupational upward mobility. Also, Estimates of employment size, population density, and the unemployment rate of local labor market have different effects depending on the education level and occupational location of youth workers, suggesting that the effects of structural factors of local labor market may not be distributed equally among all youth wage workers. The findings have policy implications regarding the recent rise in inequality and polarization in local labor markets.

Recently SW is the key industry which leads the HW industry and service industry, but market size of SW is only 0.9% of GDP. It is necessary systematic and strategic support to create new SW market through SW convergence and to secure the global competitiveness. This paper deals with some strategic suggestions for progress of SW industry in company with regional economy. We survey and analyze the many SW support projects by government and take professional advice from some specialists of regional information industry promotion agency. We draw 10 strategic suggestions for support of SW industry. Also we analyze the relative importance of 10 strategic suggestions by AHP analysis.

This study examines the causal mechanisms of low fertility and regional differentials in Korea. Utilizing the 2005 census and the 2005 vital statistics, and labor statistics at the regional level, major variables were calculated for administrative units of 234 'Gu's, 'Si's and 'Gun's. Gender equity orientation, labor market insecurity and family formation were hypothesized as key factors of recent decline in Korean fertility. This study first presents four maps of gender equity orientation, labor market insecurity, family formation and fertility. Then ANOVA and path analysis were carried out in an effort to generalize the causal mechanisms. Results of analysis reveal that gender equity orientation has played a central role in the second fertility transition in Korea. In metropolitan regions, however, labor market insecurity is found to have a significant influence on the level of family formation and fertility. Family formation also turns out to be an important intermediate variable of fertility.
