Games can be divided into different genres such as action, adventure, role playing, simulation and etc based on the types of the play provided to a player. And each genre has various kinds of balancing system. Fighting games are classified as one of the action genres. They seem to have a simple structure but there is a variety of complex balancing factors. Because there are quite a number of the fighting games that were developed in a relatively short period, it is possible to identify diverse balancing systems in the fighting games from unstable ones in the early stage to the recent ones in a stable condition. The balancing system allows players to use all the contents offered in the game by eliminating the imbalance created among the various components. It helps players maintain their interest during the procedure. Furthermore, it gives the justification, increases the efficiency of controlling, and develops the empathy in the process. Therefore, the balancing system plays a crucial role in the games when it comes to getting an evaluation and building popularity, which can determine its lifespan. In this study, we researched on the possibilities of expanding an application to the other genres by understanding the established balancing model developed from the case study of the fighting games.
The purpose of this paper is to review the trend of research in geographical education since the launching of the Korean Geographical Society in 1945 and to suggest the areas and directions for future oriented research in geographical education. 422 articles (including 12 books) were reviewed and analized for this paper. The outputs of research in geographical education contributed in developing and improving the geographical education in primary and secondary school geography. But to achieve stable and desirable status as a subject in the school curriculum, research in geographical education has to be changed in its target areas and methods. The results and the suggestions of this study are summarized as follows: First, research in geographical education in diverse areas, especially in the areas of significance, aims and objectives, and psychology of geographical education should be preceded the revision of the school curriclum so that the results could be used as the basis information and evidences in decision making about the curriculum. Second, research in geographical education for affective domain and skill development should be implemented more actively in accordance to the trend of integration centering around the dicipline-inquiry skill and citizenship skill. More close relationship between the circles of geographical education and geography would be one of the ways to satisfy the social needs. Third, the linkage between primary and secondary school geography is crucial to the research in geographical education. Considering the sequence in human development research in geographical education for two levels of school should be conducted in more wide school-year span. Fourth, critical and prescriptive research in geographical education focusing on the individual, diciplinary, and social relevancy of the content of geographical education may be recommended. Finally, the outputs of the research in geographical education should be publicized more widely so that the rationale for justification of subject geography and geographical education may be shared with among the researchers, educational administrators, and practioners.

This study aims to investigate the definition of and factors in decision on socio-scientific issues and to analyze the standards for the quality of decision-making, based on the review of studies in socio-scientific issues. This study analyzed 147 articles published in journals of the social science citation index, and the research method was followed by taxonomy analysis and analytic induction. The results showed that many of the studies did not explicitly articulate the decision-making and only dealt with a specific element of the process, not as a whole. Decision-making was categorized into the steps of identification, option, criteria, information, survey, choice, and review. In terms of the factors, the literature tackled diverse things: science knowledge, nature of science, type of issue, discussion type, belief & values, and culture. This study examined the relationship between the factors and each element of decision-making. Among the relationships, only six kinds were shown as relevant and most of factors were connected to survey. With regard to the standards, the literature relied upon balance, justification and multiplicity since many of the studies made use of Toulmin-based argumentation. This study gives some implications for standards for decision-making regarding the nature of risk and uncertainty.

Game Rating Board(GRB) of Korea set up in 29 October, 2006 has been 7th years and it will disappear in 23 November, 2013. For the first time the 'GRB' of Korea has the goal which held the nonofficial transfer of rating classification for game. But it had the justification which become more distant from the nonofficial transfer due to the affairs of 'See Story' in August, 2006. As a result, because of rapid normalization of game rating rather than the systematic transfer from 'Video Rating Board' of Korea cause no preparation of scientific professional rating review. It showed the entry-level appearance though stressing profession from the beginning of setup. Specially more transaction expense were increased because of no consistency and predictability for game review. However, it could be overcome by preparation for definite global standard and scientific rating system. Consequently technological possibility of BMM Korea based on 'Gaming Laboratory Institute(GLI)' standard expected to be alternative in the technical review of the adult arcade game.
Appropriation means the process of transforming resources to property. John Locke earlier investigated the appropriation process of natural resources into the land property, which grounded the jurisprudential base of the private ownership of the land. In the same way human resources are transformed into the human assets. Appropriation process, very rarely studied so far, in this case of human property is the focus of this paper. The appropriation of intangible property is by far easier than the appropriation of tangible property. Learning is a process of embodiment, which naturally mean the process of appropriation. For the material resources which exist out of human body, appropriation necessary need special philosophical and institutional justification. In the process appropriation for intangibles, investigator found, appropriator and learner either can be same, or can be differentiated. In the former case substantial human assets are created while in the latter relational human assets are built. After the discussion of appropriation process, Investigator proceeds to the problem of visualizing the invisibles. Evaluation and assessment issue were discussed in this perspective. Qualification system is particularly noted as a system to regulate substantial human assets including their issuing and registration. The work done in this paper would contribute in understanding the law of education and the law of qualification.
In May 2012, the police was empowered to electronically obtain location information of mobile devices from the telecommunication service provides for the purpose of rescue by the Act on the Protection, Use, ETC. of Location Information, after years of pressure with repeated serious violent crime outbreaks and controversy concerning the risk of breaching privacy. This study examines the environmental, legal, and technological challenges related to location tracking at the time of five years after the amendment of the law. The bottom line of police's locating power is to secure the lives of people in deadly emergent circumstance. Therefore, location tracking using given information should be swiftly proceeded after consideration and judgment of justification in timely manner to electronically request information to mobile carriers, and it is necessary to have somewhat flexibility of interpretation to be applied to diverse situation. In addition, location tracking technology should be continuously updated through cooperation with the stake-holders. Recognizing substantial problems in practice, we identified and explored the issues including obtaining prior consent for tracking the user's location in case of emergency, confirmation of emergency situation requiring police presence, qualification of legitimate requester, and limited applicability in various circumstances, which are required to reconsidered in conjunction with the personal information protection laws. Additional practical issues may include the expenses for information provision and other incentives to promote active cooperation by the telecom companies.

It has been a decade since argument and argumentation were introduced in science education literature in South Korea. The word "argument" has been translated into three different Korean terms in literature. The purpose of this study was to clarify those translated terms by examining how the terms were defined and used in Korean education research literature. From a philosophical perspective on the diversity of translation, we examined definitions of argument and argumentation, research topics in papers published in major international journals on science education, and reviewed relevant science education papers published in South Korean journals. We reviewed 79 papers published since the year 2000 in major international journals on science education, whose titles have terms argument and/or argumentation and 37 Korean science education papers whose titles have terms translated from the two English words. Findings showed that Korean researchers defined argument and argumentation either in a general sense or in a specific sense such as science investigation or group work aspects, depending on research contexts. Researchers in Korea rarely mentioned the diversity of translation. If they mentioned it, justification for a specific translation of the term was not provided except for in one case. When the same foreign literature was reviewed to define "argument" or "argumentation, different Korean words were used to translate the same two terms. This indicated to the researchers that the translation of the terms was not related to their definitions of them. On the other hand, each research group used a certain translation of the term consistently, indicating that translations might be based on research tradition. Based on the findings, a position on translation of the term is proposed in terms of professionalism and communication between research groups.
The purpose of this study is to explore the context dependencies of perceived product typicality and favorableness led by typicality. Major findings and their marketing implications are as follow. First of all, while the typicality effect were evident in simle choice sets which consist of typical product and atypical one, entrance of extreme atypical product eroded the favorableness toward typical product. This implies that competitive advantage of pioneering typical brand can not be sustained when choice set is enlarged with entrance of distinctive atypical brands. Secondly, adding attractive and unattractive common attributes to all the products in choice set reduced the difference among perceived typicality of alternative brands. But added attractive common feature was analyzed to enhance favorableness of both typical brand and extreme atypical product. This finding implies that brands should have distinctive identity to be benefited from competitive adding features among brands with the evolution of market. Finally, when consumers expect to provide the explanation and justification for their evaluations and choices to others, they are shown to prefer and choose typical product which is effective to explain their reasons and to persuade others for their choice. This can be interpreted as consumers favor and choose conventional typical alternatives when they should justify their decision to others as with symbolic and expressive products and public and organizational buying.
Former ministers of national defense and foreign affairs, intellectuals such as former and incumbent professors, and various NGO groups are demanding the South Korean government to stop promoting independence in operational control which is currently held by the United States Armed Forces in Korea commander. Although the Korea should exercise operational control independently in the future, orientation on the direction which should be taken under consideration in promoting this transfer should be assumed. First of all, South Korea must sufficiently examine the criticisms and dissenting opinions, and reflect them in promoting independence in operational control. From now on, the South Korean government should reflect the opinions of experts in operational control, and must promote the transfer with national consensus. Unilateral enforcement of the transfer may cause serious errors and aggravate conflicts Second, ROKA's exercise of independence in operational control should take place only after gaining restraint on North Korea's attack against the South, and the issues on nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction(WMD) has been resolved, and a peace regime has been reached. Furthermore, exercise of independence in wartime operational control should be promoted only if there is a guarantee that international trust and the military collaboration will be restored to a level beyond the present state. Third, the USFK and the Korean-US alliance is providing South Korea with national security, not to mention tremendous diplomatical, and economical benefits However, if the alliance between the two countries become weakened due to the exercise of the independence in operational control, we might suffer a great deal of loss. Even though reasonable justification and external independence may be gained through promoting independence in operational control, it should be promoted in a longitudinal manner because national security problems and conflicts may be intensified, and there is no actual profit in doing so. Fourth, if the Korean-US alliance becomes weakened and therefore the United States decides to discuss eastern-asia strategies, North Korea deterrence strategies, and Japanese rearmament issues with other neighboring countries, South Korea may become diplomatically isolated and a subordinate to surrounding countries, destroying the independence we have now instead of restoring it Therefore searching for means to reinforce international trust and collaboration between South Korea and the United States, and leaving ROKA’s independence in operational control as a long term objective would be a more realistic method.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the apologies made in Korea for the past 10 years, and to diagnose how Koreans used crisis communication strategies. For the analysis, typology of crisis communication strategy was adopted from previous study as well as the new typology distinctively found in Korea. Also preferred crisis communication strategies were analyzed by crisis subject, by crisis type and by stage of crisis. Results showed that among the crisis communication strategies, apology and corrective action were the most used strategies, followed by bolstering and appealing to sympathy. Preferred crisis communication also differed by crisis subject, by crisis type and by stage of crisis. When the crisis subject were government or public institutions, when the locus of crisis responsibility was internal, and when the crisis was a controllable human/social crisis, the justification strategy was preferred. The results seemed to be related to the unique cultural characteristics of Koreans, especially to sense of Cheong and Chemyon. Indirect corrective action and transcendence were Chemyon-saving strategies while bolstering and appealing to sympathy were strategies appealing to Cheong. Future study should address the new typology of crisis communication strategy reflecting the cultural characteristic.
