Junction-assisted Routing Protocol for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks in City Environments

  • Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) using inter-vehicle communication can potentially enhance traffic safety and facilitate many vehicular applications. Therefore, this paper proposes an inter-vehicle routing protocol called Junction-Assisted Routing (JAR) that uses fixed junction nodes to create the routing paths for VANETs in city environments. JAR is a proactive routing protocol that uses the Expected Transmission Count (ETC) for the road segment between two neighbor junctions as the routing paths between junction nodes. Simulation results showed that the proposed JAR protocol could outperform existing routing protocols in terms of the packet delivery ratio and average packet delay.

실리콘에서 깊은 접합의 형성을 위한 알루미늄의 확산 모델 (Diffusion Model of Aluminium for the Formation of a Deep Junction in Silicon)

  • In this study, the physical mechanism and diffusion effects in aluminium implanted silicon was investigated. For fabricating power semiconductor devices, an aluminum implantation can be used as an emitter and a long drift region in a power diode, transistor, and thyristor. Thermal treatment with O2 gas exhibited to a remarkably deeper profile than inert gas with N2 in the depth of junction structure. The redistribution of aluminum implanted through via thermal annealing exhibited oxidation-enhanced diffusion in comparison with inert gas atmosphere. To investigate doping distribution for implantation and diffusion experiments, spreading resistance and secondary ion mass spectrometer tools were used for the measurements. For the deep-junction structure of these experiments, aluminum implantation and diffusion exhibited a junction depth around 20 ㎛ for the fabrication of power silicon devices.

HERMITE INTERPOLATION USING PH CURVES WITH UNDETERMINED JUNCTION POINTS

  • Representing planar Pythagorean hodograph (PH) curves by the complex roots of their hodographs, we standardize Farouki's double cubic method to become the undetermined junction point (UJP) method, and then prove the generic existence of solutions for general $C^1$ Hermite interpolation problems. We also extend the UJP method to solve $C^2$ Hermite interpolation problems with multiple PH cubics, and also prove the generic existence of solutions which consist of triple PH cubics with $C^1$ junction points. Further generalizing the UJP method, we go on to solve $C^2$ Hermite interpolation problems using two PH quintics with a $C^1$ junction point, and we also show the possibility of applying the modi e UJP method to $G^2[C^1]$ Hermite interpolation.

요둔통 환자에 흉요추이행부 협척혈 병행 치료 효과의 임상적 연구 (The Clinical Study on Effects of Thoracolumbar Junction's Hyeopcheok Points(夾脊穴) for Low Back Pain)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate the effects of thoracolumbar junction's Hyeopcheok points(夾脊穴) for low-back pain in the thoracolumbar junction syndrome. Method : 1. Measurement : We investigated 26 patients with low-back pain. The unpleasantness of pain was measured by visual analogue scale(VAS), and the Oswestry low-back pain disability index(ODI). We compared the VAS and ODI scores of the two groups statistically. 2. Intervention : Use Acupuncture and bee venom injection in thoracolumbar junction's Hyeopcheok points that display main tender points. Also, herb medication and physical therapy was used. Results and Conclusion : As a result of treatment, thoracolumbar junction's Hyeopcheok points is very effective for low-back pain. However, more cases are required to oriental medicine in order to prove the availability.

A Case of an Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction Caused by a Crossing Vessel

  • Ureteropelvic junction obstruction is one of the common causes of hydronephrosis in infancy and childhood. Most cases of ureteropelvic junction obstruction are diagnosed prenatally and are usually asymptomatic. Although less common, older children can experience ureteropelvic junction obstruction that presents with symptoms including flank or abdominal pain. Here, we present the case of a nine-year-old healthy girl who had repeated flank pain and abdominal symptoms, with mild left hydronephrosis, for several months. Computed tomography that was performed during the period of acute flank pain revealed aggravated hydronephrosis on her left kidney, which was secondary to an ureteropelvic junction obstruction. She underwent laparoscopic pyeloplasty, and a crossing vessel that passed the ureteropelvic junction was identified. In addition, we reviewed the current literature of this rare entity.

Laparoscopic Gastric Wedge Resection and Prophylactic Antireflux Surgery for a Submucosal Tumor of Gastroesophageal Junction

  • A laparoscopic wedge resection for a submucosal tumor, which is close to the gastroesophageal junction, is technically challenging. This can be a dilemma to both patients and surgeons when the tumor margin involves the gastroesophageal junction because a wedge resection in this situation might result in a deformity of the gastroesophageal junction or an injury to the lower esophageal sphincter, which ultimately results in lifelong gastroesophageal reflux disease. The patient was a 42 year-old male, whose preoperative endoscopic ultrasonographic finding did not rule out a gastrointestinal stromal tumor. He underwent a laparoscopic gastric wedge resection and prophylactic anterior partial fundoplication (Dor) and was discharged from hospital on the fifth postoperative day without any complications. There were no symptoms of reflux 5 months after surgery. A laparoscopic wedge resection and prophylactic anti-reflux surgery might be a good surgical option for a submucosal tumor at the gastroesophageal junction.

금속 구조 변화에 따른 선택 화학기상증착 W Plug의 접합 신뢰성 연구 (The Effects of Metal Structure on the Junction Stability of Sub-micron Contacts Using Selective CVD-W Plug)

  • The junction failure mechanism of W plugs has not been fully understood while the selective W deposition has been widely used for plugging interconnection lines. In this paper, the thermal stability and junction failure mechanism of sub-micron contacts using selective CVD-W plugs were intensively studied with the metal lines of AISiCu, Ti/AISiCu and TiN/AISiCu. The experimental results showed that the contact chain resistance and leakage current in the AISiCu and Ti/AISiCu metallizations were significantly degraded after annealing. From the SEM analysis, it was found that the junction spiking, due to the Al atoms diffusion along the porous interface between selective CVD-W and contactside wall, caused the junction failure. In constast, there was no degradation of the contact resistance and junction leakage current in TiN/AISiCu metal structu-re. It is believed that the TiN barrier layer could prevent AI(Ti) atoms Fromdiffusing. Therefore, TiN barrier between W plug and Al should be used to impro-ve the thermal stability of sub-micron contacts using the selective CVD-W plugs.

고전력 전자소자에서 열전생성기의 생성효율과 열적성능 (Generation Efficiency and Thermal Performance of a Thermoelectric Generator with a High Power Electronic Component)

  • 본 논문은 고파워 전자소자의 폐열로부터 에너지 수확을 목적으로 하는 열전생성기의 생성효율과 열적 성능에 대하여 논한다. 열경계저항을 포함하는 열전모델이 적용되어 생성효율과 고전력 전자소자의 junction 온도를 예측하였고 그 결과는 실험치로 검증되어진다. 검증결과는 예측치와 계측치의 오차가 작음을 보인다. 검증후 열전모델은 다양한 로드저항과 열원의 열율에서 생성효율, 열전생성기 양면의 온도차, 소자의 junction 온도를 예측한다. 본 연구는 로드저항이 생성효율, 열전생성기 양면의 온도차, junction 온도에 미치는 영향에 대해서도 탐구한다.

Super Junction MOSFET의 트렌치 식각 각도에 따른 열 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (Thermal Characteristics according to Trench Etch angle of Super Junction MOSFET)

  • 본 논문에서는 Super Juction MOSFET의 우수한 열 특성을 검증하기 위해 도출된 공정 및 설계파라미터를 이용하여 열특성을 분석하였다. 열 특성 중 핵심공정인 Trench 식각 각도에 따른 온도차이, 열 저항, 그 때 흐르는 드레인 전류를 측정하여 전체 소비전력을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과 Trench 식각 각도가 $89.3^{\circ}$ 일 때 온도차와 열 저항 값이 가장 작게 나왔으며, 식각 각도에 따라서 분포는 경향성을 보이지 않았다. 따라서 반복 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 최적의 값을 도출해야 되며, 본 측정 결과 최적의 식각 각도는 $89.3^{\circ}$$89.6^{\circ}$의 결과를 보였다. 다른 전기적인 특성을 고려하여 최종 식각 각도를 보여야 하며, 열 특성의 우수한 SJ MOSFET이 산업에의 이용을 위해 본 논문의 자료가 충분히 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

색상 검사와 템플릿 매칭을 이용한 정션 박스 자동 시각 검사 시스템 (Automated Visual Inspection System of Junction Box using Color Inspection and Template Matching)

  • 자동차는 발명 초기 형태로 부터 많은 발전과 변형을 거듭하여 현재의 형태에 이르기 까지 인간의 활동 영역을 넓혀 주고 있다. 자동차의 전자 부품중 하나인 정션 박스를 종래에는 사람이 직접 육안으로 검사하여 오판을 하거나 검사의 속도가 느린 문제점이 있었다. 이를 보완하여 빠르고 정확하게 정션 박스 검사를 하기 위하여 비전 시스템(Vision System)을 이용하여 공정을 자동화 하는 방법을 제시하였다. 본 논문은 정션 박스에 삽입된 퓨즈(Fuse)와 릴레이(Relay)의 색상과 표면의 패턴을 검사하여 이상 유/무 및 결함을 자동으로 검사한다. 불량 검출의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 정션 박스를 가지고 시스템의 성능을 평가한 결과, 100%의 인식률을 나타내었고 이를 산업체에 적용하여 신속하고 정확한 검사가 가능함을 보였다.
