  • At the end of the 'observing reason' of the chapter of 'the Reason' in Hegel's PhdG, reads that 'Spirit is a bone' and it is an 'infinite judgement'. We will concentrate on the following problems to clarify the meaning of this infinite judgement. First, this paper introduces the various interpretations on the meaning of the 'Spirit is a bone' and makes a comparative investigation of that problem. If we do not examine the various interpretations, there may be the probability of arbitrary interpretation of this judgement. Second, we will discern the difference between Kant's and Hegel's interpretations with regard to the meaning of the infinite judgement. Hegel obviously understands the content more than the meaning of Kant's forms of infinite judgement (S is not-P). If we do not explicate the reason which Hegel expands beyond the form to the content, it is difficult to understand the meaning which Hegel has said on it. With regard to this, we do not restrict our study to the PhdG. We also refer to the meaning of the infinite judgement on 'the judgement of Dasein' in Hegel's small and large Logics. Third, We are going to explore the various interpretations concerning those problems. Above all, we note ${\check{Z}}i{\check{z}}ek^{\prime}s$ interpretation who relates it to Psychoanalysis. While examining ${\check{Z}}i{\check{z}}ek^{\prime}s$ interpretation, we expecially note how he can interpret it well.

  • Different aspects of morality, namely, moral belief, moral judgement and moral behavior have been studied seperately. This study examined the development of these three aspects of morality in relation to internal attribution in one sample. A total of 371, third -and sixth- grade children from Masan city were responded to questionnaires on moral belief, moral judgement, and attibutional tendency. In addition, children's moral behavior was measured by the teachers' 5-item rating scale. As results, there were signigicant but low correlations among three components of morality. There were developmental differences in moral belief and moral judgement but there was no age difference in moral behavior. Compared to third graders, sixth graders were higher in moral judgement but lower in moral belief. Social experience as well as cognitive development on moral relativity could explain this paradoxical developmental trend in moral belief. There was a sex difference only on moral behavior : Girls were rated higher in moral behavior than boys. Internal attribution was significantly correlated with all three aspects of morality, .15 with moral belief, .45 with moral judgement, .14 with moral behavior, respectively. There was a significant developmental difference but no sex difference in attributional tendency: Sixth graders reported higher internal attribution than third graders. However, there was no developmental difference in correlations among internal attribution and three aspects of morality. Most importantly, internal attribution explained morality better than either age -or sex- variable. It was suggested that educational programs on morality need to focus on the internalization of it.

  • Judgement post-stratification is a new sampling method developed by MacEachern et al. (2004). This article suggests that the judgement post-stratification method can be a good alternative for the simple random sampling when analyzing real-world environmental data. It becomes an important task to accurately measure the output of a recycling facility since the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) system takes effect on 2003. However, the total weight of materials processed in the recycling facility may not be a proper measure because the materials are frequently mingled with other non-recycling materials. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate the mixture ratio of non-recycling materials among the total materials admitted in the facility. Unfortunately, the size of sample in a recycling facility is restricted due to the inconvenience of sampling procedure such as safety, odor, time and classification of non-recycling materials. In this article, we showed the relative efficiency of the judgement post-stratification method over the simple random sampling method for equal sample sizes using Monte Carlo simulation. Furthermore, we applied the judgement post-stratification method on the 2004 recycling data and showed that it can replace the simple random sampling even with smaller observations.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the model of supporting decision making and the method of evaluating criteria and alternatives by value judgement and to apply the model and method suggested to the case of the University Student's housing choice. The criteria and alternatives are evaluated in terms of intuitive judgement and the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The university students of the Daegu Metropolitan area consider the socioeconomic and environmental factors more important than the characteristics of housing to evaluate their future housing types. In terms of the student's intuitive judgement, socio-educational environment, accessibility, economy, natural environment, and the characteristics of housing are considered in order as an important criteria of evaluating housing. The orders of the important criteria done by an intuitive judgement and the AHP are different. In terms of the AHP, apartment, detached dwelling, and row house are preferred in order as the student's future housing types. The orders of preferred housing types are, however, dynamically changed based on specific criteria. In sum, the model of decision making and the method of evaluating criteria and alternatives by value judgement will be applied to the real problems defined by uncertainty and high risk.

  • An inspection task largely can be seen as a job divided up into a series of visual search and classification subtasks. In these subtasks, an Inspector must performs to compare the standard references proposed in visual environments and recalled in his memory with the visual stimuli to be inspected. It means that the judgement of similarity should be demanded on inspection tasks. Therefore, the inspector's ability for the judgement of similarity and the difference similarity between inspection materials are important factors to effect on performances in inspection tasks. In this paper, to analysis the effect of these factors on inspection time, an inspection task is designed and suggested by means of computer simulator. Especially, the skin conductance responses(SCR) of subjects are measured to evaluate the complexity of tasks due to the difference of similarity between materials. In the results of experiment, the more similar or different the difference of similarity between materials is, the shorter the inspection time is because of the reduction of task complexity. And, When the inspector's cognition for similarity between materials is consistanct, the inpsection time is improved. Concludingly, the consistency of reponses for similarity judgement becomes a measurement to present the performance levels. And the information of inspection time that due to the difference of similarity between materials must be considered in planning and scheduling inspection tasks.

  • Background: The recent revision of South Korea's Mental Health Law emphasizes the role of the Mental Health Review Board. For this study, we examined the current status of continuing hospitalization judgement in Mental Health Review Board at the national level and aimed to determine the directions of improvement. Methods: Using a qualitative case study as the research method, we interviewed 30 Mental Health Review Board members and analyzed the results. Results: Each municipality had very different continuing hospitalization judgement methods. In our systematic review, which consisted of document inspection, we identified reliability problems due to limitations in Mental Health Review Board's operating systems, discharge orders, etc. Additionally, continuing hospitalization judgement needs to improve the objectivity, fairness, and effectiveness of their screening examinations. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, we suggest policy proposals to improve these systems, such as standardizing examination processes, strengthening on-site inspections, increasing the independence and neutrality of judgment in Mental Health Review Board, building community mental health infrastructures, and establishing integrated management systems.

  • The current criminal procedure law stipulates that dismissal cause this has to be true when the dismissal judgement. These regulations should be considered as limited by regulations or rules should be considered as exemplary is the problem. Depends on how you look at the difference in the range of dismissal judgement is encountered to. Therefore, this should be reviewed. Encountered to study the reason for the results referred to in Article 326 are valid reasons to limit. Appeals rejected the verdict abuse the rights of appeals, etc. are encountered to dismissal cause is because the restrictive rules. Therefore, the dismissal causes set forth in Article 326 as a guide only view limited because of regulatory reasons the rights of appeals encountered to abuse, etc. should not be included.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the basic sources for educational program that identifies moral judgement and ethical values of nursing students. The subjects consisted of 114 nursing students in college. Data were collected by the Korean Form of Moral Development Inventory(Shin, 1997) and Nursing Ethical Values(Lee, 1990) from March 5 to 21. 2002. The findings were as follows: 1. The mean score of the stage 5B was higher than the score of other stages. The mean score of P(%) was 39.15. No significant difference were found between P(%) and general characteristics. 2. The mean score of the nursing ethical values was 3.38. The nursing students took the position of deontology slightly. In nurse-colleague relationship area(4.22), the subjects should to taking evidently deontological position. 3. According to general characteristics, no significant difference was found except nurse-patient relationship area among subcategory of ethical values. The mean score of this area by influence person of moral development were significantly different at the .05 level. 4. The trend of subjects in action choices on 4 dilemmas of the DIT showed between-subjects variability. Action choices on 'Heinz and the drug', 'Doctor's dilemma', and 'webster' were 'pro' in most of subjects, whereas 'escaped prisoner' was 'con'. 5. The ethical values in human-life area associated with action choices on 'Heinz and the drug' was significantly different . And the nursing ethical values, human-life area, and nurse-nursing task relationship area were significantly different according to action choices on 'Doctor's dilemma'. 6. There was found little correlation between action choices on 4 dilemmas of the DIT and moral judgement. Also little correlation was shown between action choices on 4 dilemmas of the DIT and ethical values. No significant correlation were found between moral judgement and nurse ethical values.
