Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors affecting compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) use among medical device reprocessing staff. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study included 163 cleaning staff members from ten general hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires administered between July and September 2023. Analysis included t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Bonferroni correction, and multiple regression, conducted using SAS ver.9.4. Results: Statistically significant differences in compliance with PPE were found based on department and exposure to contamination within six months (t=-2.82, p=.007). Attitudes toward PPE (r=.22, p=.006) and awareness of the safety climate (r=.22, p=.006) showed a statistically significant positive correlation with PPE compliance. Factors influencing use of personal protective equipment by cleaning staff during medical device reprocessing were department, compliance with PPE, and awareness of the safety climate. The explanatory power of these factors was 58.0%. Conclusion: Improving PPE compliance and creating a safe cleaning environment entails fostering a supportive safety climate. Additionally, regular training that takes into consideration the characteristics of the cleaning staff, alongside continuous monitoring, is required.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of infection control performance, infection control fatigue, and social support on the burnout of nurses working at National Safe Hospitals during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, and to use that data to suggest methods to reduce burnout among nurses. Methods: From June 30 to September 30, 2021, data were collected from 144 nurses who both consented to participate in the study and had worked for more than six months in National Safe Hospitals with 300 or more beds in the Gyeonggi-do Province in Korea. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Results: The factors affecting nurses' burnout at National Safe Hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic were found to be infection control fatigue (β=.60, p<.001) and social support (β=-.27, p<.001). The explanatory power of these factors was 37.0%. Conclusion: Nurses' burnout at National Safe Hospitals was found to be at a moderate level. Burnout should be reduced through human, material, and administrative support, all of which can reduce infection-control fatigue. It is also necessary to develop both a non-face-to-face social-support-reinforcement program, considering restrictions mandated by infectious-disease pandemics, and a long-term intervention strategy to prevent burnout.

These fierce attack on ships became impossible After World War II, and the major powers reduced and coordinated the defence budget, so they considered the role of submarine. However, submarine is still powerful weapon system because she can secretly navigate under the water, and one of the most important force in the navy. The aim of this thesis is analyzing submarine roles in each naval warfare and integrating maritime strategy and weapon system technology into her roles. First, the research about represent submarine roles like anti-surfaceship warfare, anti-submarine warfare, intelligence gathering, land attack, supporting special operation and mine landing warfare will be presented, then the major naval warfare where submarine participated(during ex-World War I, World War I, World War II, The Cold War Era and post Cold War) and the analyzing of submarine roles by time will be presented. Submarine was developed for anti-surfaceship warfare during ex-World War I but could not make remarkable military gain in naval warfare because her performance and weapon was inadequate. However, the effective value of submarine in the procedure of a chain of naval warfare was shown during World War I and World War II. The major powers put battleships into naval warfare undiscriminatingly to command the sea power and submarines did massive damage to enemy navy power, so put a restraint the maritime power of enemy, and blocked the sea lanes for war material. After World War II, the battlefield situation changed rapidly and the concept of preemption became difficult to apply in naval warfare. Therefore, the submarine was unable to concentrate on anti-surfaceship mission. Especially during the Cold War era, nuclear submarine came to appear and her weapon system developed rapidly. These development gave submarines special missions: anti-submarine warfare and intelligence gathering. At that time, United States and Soviet submarines tracked other nation's submarines loaded with nuclear weapons and departing from naval their base. The submarines also collected information on the volume of ships and a coastal missile launching site in company with this mission. After Cold War, the major powers despatched forces to major troubled regions to maintain world peace, their submarines approached the shores of these regions and attacked key enemy installations with cruise missiles. At that time, the United States eased the concept of preemption and made the concept of Bush doctrine because of possible 911 terrorism. The missiles fired from submarines and surface battleships accurately attacked key enemy installations. Many nations be strategically successful depending on what kind of mission a submarine is assigned. The patterns of future naval warfare that my country will provide against will be military power projection and coalition/joint operations. These suggest much more about what future missions we should assign to submarines.

The failure of a bolted joint owing to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) has been considered one of the most important structural integrity issues in a nuclear power plant. In this study, the failure possibility of bolting, which is used to support the steam generator of a pressurized water reactor, owing to SCC and brittle fracture was evaluated in accordance with guidelines proposed by the Electric Power Research Institute, which are called the Reference Flaw Factor method. For this evaluation, first, detailed finite element stress analyses were conducted to obtain the actual nominal stresses of bolting in which either service loads or bolt preloads were considered. Based on these nominal stresses, the structural integrity of bolting was addressed from the viewpoints of SCC and toughness. In addition, the accuracy of the EPRI Reference Flaw Factor for assessing bolting failure was investigated using finite element fracture mechanics analyses.

The subjects of this study were 15 woman soccer players and 15 untrained woman students at H-Cheju University. Each subject was measured on the muscle strength and peak torque of knee extensors and knee flexors with isokinetic load ($60^{\circ}$/sec, $180^{\circ}$/sec). The results were as follows: 1. There was no significant difference between right and left leg strength measured isokinetically in each group. 2. The peak torque of knee extensors and flexors was significantly higher in scoccer players than untrainded students (p<0.001). 3. For the angle of knee joint showing the highest peak torque, there was significant difference between soccer players and untrained students in knee extensors(p<0.05) and right flexors (p<0.01). 4. For knee H/Q ratio, there was significant difference between two groups(p<0.05). 5. For the total work and average power at $180^{\circ}$/sec, there was significant difference between two groups in knee extensors(p<0.001) and flexors(p<0.01). 6. In soccer players at $60^{\circ}$/sec, there were significant correlations between peak torque and height and between peak torque and weight.(p<0.001). 7. For the muscular contraction velocity at $60^{\circ}$/sec, there was significant difference between two groups in flexors (p<0.01). 8. For the muscular indurance at $180^{\circ}$/sec in extensors and flexors, there was no significant difference between two groups(p<0.05). In conclusion, there were significantly higher in peak torque, contraction velocity, knee joint's angle with the highest peak torque, H/Q ratio, total work and average power in woman scoccer player than general students. But there was no significant difference in muscular endurance. Soccer performance is based on the various components including muscular endurance that is one of the most important components. So it is necessary that the training method to improve the various components (especially including muscular endurance) should be done.

Generally, significant amount of reinforcements are used in nuclear power plant structures and it may cause several potential problems during the construction. In particular, it is more difficult to pour concrete into structural member joint area than other areas because of the significant congestion of the joint area due to a lot of hooked bars, embedded materials, and other reinforcements. The purpose of this study is to solve these problems due to the reinforcement congestion by using the high-strength(ASTM A615 Gr.80) headed deformed bars of large-sized diameter(43 mm & 57 mm) in nuclear power plant structures as a alternative of standard hooked bars. In order to use headed deformed bars effectively, It is necessary to find the method how to relax limits on their use while maintaining or improving the anchorage capacity. Therefore, this study will analyze the results of tests planned to evaluate the influence of the restricted variables, such as bar size, yield strength, clear cover thickness.
In this study, the method of Increasing the flood control as well as conservation effects is studied by joint operation of Hwacheon and Peace Dam. After completing the second phase of the construction of the Peace Dam, the dam crest height will be increased from 225m and the storage capacity will also be increased. If storage capacity is increased and gates are installed, it will assist not only flood control but also conservation of the entire Han river basin. Considering the change of conservation levels, the change of the restricted water level of the Hwacheon Dam in flood season, and the inflow change into the Peace Dam through the simulated reservoir operation, the annual average power of Hwacheon Dam with 95% reliability, annual firm power, the volume of water supply is calculated. As a result, when the conservation level of the Peace Dam and the restricted water level of the Hwacheon Dam are increased, the generation capacity will be improved. However, even though the inflow decrease, the generation capacity will not be affected. If the inflow decrease under the same conditions, the water supply capability will be reduced to the range from 35% to 40%. It is necessary to increase conservation level to keep the same water supply capability.
Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the general effects of low-frequency electrical stimulation of the ankle joint acupuncture points(BL62 and KI6) on the brain waves of elderly women as a pilot study to figure out the possibility of candidate non-invasive and non-chemical stimulation method for the enhancing the brain function. Methods : A randomized, controlled, double-blinded clinical trial was performed in 31 healthy women(mean age, 54.5 years) within a treatment duration of 12 sessions. In the experimental group, low-frequency electrical stimulation was applied using the maximum range of the individual insensible strength(mean current, $0.04{\mu}A$). The control group received sham stimulation. The background electroencephalographic activity was measured before and after the12 sessions. Results : After 12 sessions of stimulation, the relative power of the alpha wave increased(32 of 32 channels: significant difference in 11 channels, p<0.05); the theta(30 of 32 channels: significant difference in 10 channels, p<0.05), beta(31 of 32 channels), and gamma(30 of 32 channels: significant difference in 7 channels, p<0.05) powers were also decreased compared with the sham group. Conclusions : Electrical stimulation on the ankle joint acupuncture points(BL62 and KI6) seemed to stabilize the elderly women brain by inducing the alpha power and reducing beta, theta, and gamma powers. These results provide insight into the action mechanism of the stimulation and can assist the future developement of a non-invasive and non-chemical treatment technique for stressor related cognitive problems.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the interrelationship between ranges of motion of the knee and ankle joints on the sagittal plane and the attenuation magnitude of impact shock at high frequency (9~20 Hz) in the support phase during downhill running. Method: Fifteen male heel-toe runners with no history of lower extremity injuries were recruited for this study (age, $25.07{\pm}5.35years$; height, $175.4{\pm}4.6cm$; mass, $75.8{\pm}.70kg$). Two uniaxial accelerometers were mounted to the tuberosity of tibia and sacrum, respectively, to measure acceleration signals. The participants were asked to run at their preferred running speed on a treadmill set at $0^{\circ}$, $7^{\circ}$, and $15^{\circ}$ downhill. Six optical cameras were placed around the treadmill to capture the coordinates of the joints of the lower extremities. The power spectrum densities of the two acceleration signals were analyzed and used in the transfer function describing the gain and attenuation of impact shock between the tibia and the sacrum. Angles of the knee and ankle joints on the sagittal plane and their angle ranges were calculated. The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to test the relationship between two variables, the magnitude of impact shock, and the range of joint angle under three downhill conditions. The alpha level was set at .05. Results: Close correlations were observed between the knee joint range of motion and the attenuation magnitude of impact shock regardless of running slopes (p<.05), and positive correlations were found between the ranges of motion of the knee and ankle joints and the attenuation magnitude of impact shock in $15^{\circ}$ downhill running (p<.05). Conclusion: In conclusion, increased knee flexion might be required to attenuate impact shock during downhill and level running through change in stride or cadence while maintaining stability, and strong and flexible ankle joints are also needed in steeper downhill running.
Objective : Walking with a Material handling is an activity frequently undertaken by agricultural workers in Korea, due to the nature of their work. This study aimed to investigate differences in biomechanical variables according to the mechanical alignment of the lower limbs when walking with a heavy load, and to use this as basic data in the design of various working environments to reduce the skeletomuscular burden on the knee joint. Method : The study subjects comprised of 22 right-foot dominant adult men and women aged between 20 and 23 years. The subjects were divided into a varus or valgus group according to the mechanical alignment of the lower limb by using radiographic findings. The subjects walked without any load and with a load of 10%, 20%, or 30% of their body weight held in front of them. The Kwon3d XP program was used to calculate biomechanical variables. Results : The flexion/extension moment of the knee joint showed a decreasing trend with increased load, irrespective of the mechanical alignment of the lower limb, while the varus group did not show normal compensatory action when supported by one leg at the point of maximum vertical ground reaction force. In addition, in terms of the time taken, subjects showed no difficulties in one-foot support time up to 20%/BW, but at 30%/BW, despite individual differences, there was an increase in single limb. The increased load resulted in a decrease in the ratio of standing phase to ensure physical stability. The valgus group showed a trend of increasing the stability of their center of mass with increasing load, through higher braking power in the early standing phase. Conclusion : In conclusion, although there was no statistical difference in biomechanical variables according to the mechanical alignment of the lower limbs, the varus group showed a more irregular walking pattern with a Material handling than the valgus group, partially proving the association between lower limb alignment and walking with a Material handling.
