조선후기 경복궁 근정전 주요 구조재의 맞춤과 이음에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Joint and Splice of wooden Structure at Geunjeongjeon Hall of Gyeongbok Palace in the late Joseon Dynasty)

  • This study examines the joint and splice of wooden structure at Geunjeongjeon Hall of Gyengbok Palace, which was constructed in the late Joseon Dynasty. The scope of the study is on the part of columns, the bracket sets, and the frame structure. This research also deals with the relationship between vortical load and horizontal load. Firstly, the examination of the joint and splice methods between the pillar and penetrating ties is on the joint and splice methods of the outer and corner. Through the investigation, it is verified that the joint methods between pillar and penetrating tie on the outer and corner pillars is the method of Sagal joints(cross joints, 사개맞춤). Joints used between pillar and penetrating tie are dovetailed tenon joints, between columns and Anchogong(안초공), between columns and Choikgong(초익공) are tenon joint(장부맞춤). Secondly, the examination of the joint and splice methods of the bracket set is on that of Salmi and Cheomcha(첨차), and Salmi and Janghyeo(장혀). Joints used between Salmi and Cheomcha, Salmi and Janghyeo are halved joint, and between each Janghyeo are stepped dovetailed splice. It is Cheomcha that is used the Jujang-Cheomcha(주장첨차) on center line. Therefore it is connected with each bracket set, which gets to is the strong system, easy and convenient on the construction of that. Thirdly, the frame structure of wooden architecture in royal palace is consist of purlins and beams, Janghyeo(장혀, timber under purlin), tall columns, king posts, etc. Through the investigation, it is verified that the joint and splice methods between purlins and beams are used with the methods of Sungeoteok joint(숭어턱맞춤). It is verified that the joint and splice methods between beams and high columns are used with methods of mortise and tenon joint(장부맞춤), is highly related with tensile force. To reduce the separation of parts, sangi(산지) and tishoi(띠쇠) are used as a counterproposal, which were generally used for architecture in royal Palaces in the late Joseon Dynasty and continued to be used until these days common wooden architecture.

커플러 이음 철근을 사용한 철근콘크리트 보의 휨 거동에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Research on the Flexural Behavior of Concrete Beams with Lock Joint Coupler Bars)

  • Tensile strength (stress) of bar splice is important in the research of mechanical behavior of reinforced concrete structures-beam, column etc.- with bar splice. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the flexural behavior - deflection of beam specimens, strain of main bars - of reinforced concrete beam with Lock Joint Coupler. To make a comparative research, reinforced concrete beam specimens with normal deformed bar and lap splice are tested and analyzed. Test results, Comparing a deflection of three types flexural specimens, a flexural specimen with Lock Joint Coupler is 40% greater than the other flexural specimens. At the center of flexural specimen, the strain of main bar(D29) with lock joint coupler is 50% less, and vice versa, at the point of 14cm far from the center of flexural specimen, the strain of main bar(D29) with lock joint coupler is 9% larger than the strain of main bar(D29) which calculated using the classical flexure theory. A discords, between a deflection behavior of the flexural specimens and a strain of the main bar, are caused by the difference of strain between the lock joint coupler and main bar, near the lock joint coupler. So, additional research is need to verify as stated above discords.

강상판 종리브 현장연결부의 실험적 거동 특성 (An Experimental Study on Behavior of Field Splice Joints of Longitudinal Rib in Orthotropic Steel Decks)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에 적용된 종리브 현장연결부의 구조상세를 검토하고 실험체를 제작하여 정적재하실험 및 피로실험을 실시하였다. 정적 및 영향면 재하실험을 통하여 강상판 현장연결부의 응력분포양상을 분석하여 핸드홀 덮개판의 유무와 편심하중의 영향을 살펴보았다. 극한강도 실험을 통해서는 종리브 현장연결부의 극한내력을 평가하였다. 피로실험을 수행한 결과, 낮은 응력수준에서는 스캘럽부에서 피로균열이 발생하였고, 높은 응력수준에서는 핸드홀 덮개판의 파괴 후에 종리브의 갑작스런 파괴가 일어났다. 본 연구를 통하여 현장연결부의 거동특성의 이해를 위한 기초적 연구를 수행하였다.

  • In the case of designing superconducting power apparatuses using the second generation high temperature superconducting wire, it is necessary to have a tape-splicing technique to achieve low splice resistance between coated conductor (CC) tapes. In this paper, an experimental splice method between YBCO CC tapes is proposed for a coil application. Splices were performed with a 37Pb-63Sn solder. YBCO samples were fabricated with various pressures and cooling rates. Joint resistances of the spliced samples of jointed YBCO CC tapes were measured and evaluated from V-I curves. In addition, optical micrographs were obtained to analyze the cross sectional microstructure of jointed samples.

Short-term cyclic performance of metal-plate-connected wood truss joints

  • The objective of this research was to evaluate the performance of metal-plate-connected truss joints subjected to cyclic loading conditions that simulated seismic events in the lives of the joints. We also investigated the duration of load factor for these joints. We tested tension splice joints and heel joints from a standard 9.2-m Fink truss constructed from $38-{\times}89-mm$ Douglas-fir lumber: 10 tension splice joints for static condition and for each of 6 cyclic loading conditions (70 joints total) and 10 heel joints for static condition and for each of 3 cyclic loading conditions (40 joints total). We evaluated results by comparing the strengths of the control group (static) with those of the cyclic loading groups. None of the cyclic loading conditions showed any strength degradation; however, there was significant stiffness degradation for both types of joint. The results of this research show that the current duration of load factor of 1.6 for earthquake loading is adequate for these joints.

  • The purpose of this study was to introduce the applied care of PC beam-column interior joint with splice type rebar. In this case, although the erection time of the introduced case was a little bit higher than that of general precast concrete method, this method was more effective than general precast concrete method in aspect of direct cost and the number of column joint. Therefore, this method could be adopted in the construction of the commercial and residential building in the future.

  • In this study, new moment-resisting precast concrete beam-column joint is proposed for moderate seismic regions. It has the connection reinforcing bars, penetrated the joint and lap-spliced with the bottom bars of precast U-beam. To evaluate the performance for noncontact lapped splice, analytical works were conducted. Major variables for FEM analysis are the length of lap, the diameter of connection reinforcing bars, and the distance between lapped bars. The results of this study show thar the these variables has much influence on strength and deformation of lapped joint.

무수축 모르타르 충진형 슬리브 개발 (Development of Non-Shrink Mortar Grouting Type Splice Sleeve)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공기 단축과 초기 공사비를 절감하기 위해 PC 긴장재를 사용하지 않고, 슬리브와 일반 철근만으로 구성된 경제적이면서 시공성이 우수한 프리캐스트 교각 공법 개발에 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 신형식 철근이음 장치인 그라우팅형(形) 슬리브(Splice sleeve, 이하 슬리브)를 제안하고 최적의 슬리브를 개발하기 위하여 슬리브 길이, 철근직경, 양생방법 등을 변수로 하여 유한요소해석 및 인장실험을 수행하였다. 슬리브의 유한요소해석을 통하여 최적의 형상을 도출하였으며, 인장 성능 검토 결과, 철근의 인발에 의한 파괴는 발생하지 않았으며, 철근의 인장 파괴 혹은 슬리브의 기계적 결함에 의한 볼트 파단만이 관찰되었다. 제안된 슬리브는 우수한 인장성능을 갖고 있음을 확인하였으며 프리캐스트 교각에 무리 없이 적용할 수 있음을 검증하였다.

다른 굵기의 6/10[kV]급 CV 케이블 직선접속부 안전성 평가 (A Safety Assessment of Splice of 6/10[kV] Class CV Cables with Different Conductor Size)

  • This paper describes the safety assessment of power cable splices connecting different sized 6/10[kV] class power cables. To assess the safety, AC withstand voltage tests, partial discharge tests and impulse tests were carried out to the cable splice specimens and thermal rise due to overload and cross section of joint were examined as well. As a result, a breakdown due to the $4.5[U_0](27[kV_{ac}])$ application could not found for 5 minutes. Under $1.73[U_0](10.4[kV_{ac}])$ application, partial discharges of 4~8[pC] were detected. In impulse tests, all the specimens withstood to the standard waveforms of $75[kV_{peak}](1.2{\times}50[{\mu}s])$ without any breakdowns. In addition, the temperature on the splice rose by $3[^{\circ}C]$ when the 200[A] flew through the splice for 20minutes, however the thermal rise of $3[^{\circ}C]$ was considered due to the atmospheric temperature. After all the electrical tests, the cross section of the splice was visually examined. The conditions of the conductors of both $185[mm^2]$ and $240[mm^2]$ were good.

부분용입용접 내진기둥 이음부의 강도평가 (Experimental Evaluation of Seismic Column Splice with Partial Joint Penetration Welds)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 SM490강재와 국내에서 최근 개발된 내진용강재(SHN490, SN490)로 이루어진 특수모멘트골조의 기둥이음부를 부분용입용접으로 설계하여 내진성능평가를 위한 실물대 실험을 실시하였다. 부분용입용접에 의한 기둥이음부는 용접비용 및 공기의 절감에서 매력적 인 방안이다. 그러나 과거에 외국에서 수행된 몇몇 실험결과에 의하면 부분용입용접에 의한 후판기둥의 이음부는 인장응력에 대해 취성파단하는 거동을 보였다. 이런 이유로 인해 최근의 내진설계기준에서는 특수모멘트골조의 부분용입용접 기둥이음부의 강도는 예상 기둥소성모멘트 이상의 강도를 요구한다. 이를 반영하여 시험체의 부분용입용접 이음부의 설계강도는 AISC-LRFD의 기준식을 적용하여 기둥의 예상 소성모멘트 이상이 되도록 설계 및 제작하고 3등분점 하중으로 단조가력하였다. 압연형강 시험체 2개 및 조립형강 시험체 2개(총 4개 시험체)의 이음부 모두에서 기둥의 실제 소성모멘트 이상의 강도를 발휘하였다. 즉 AISC-LRFD의 부분용입용접 설계강도식의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있었다. 다만 SM490 압연형강 시험체는 기둥의 소성모멘트를 발휘한 후 이음부에서 급격한 취성파단이 발생하였다. 이는 용접결함과 플랜지의 강도미달에 따른 복합적 원인에 의한 것으로 추정된다. 특히 SM490 강재의 경우는 항복강도와 인장강도가 규정치에 미달하는 등 성능편차가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 제한적 실험결과이긴 하지만 소재물성 및 이음부 거동의 측면 모두에서 내진용 신강재가 기존강재에 비해 전체적으로 우수함을 보여준 결과라 할 수 있다.
