  • The purpose of this study is to develop a recruiting platform resolving the mismatch between corporate job and job finder's competence in recruitment market. For this, we investigated technological trends and limitation on recruit platform. Based on the findings, this study investigates the trends and directions related to recruiting platform evolution and identified critical success factors and development strategies for successful development of recruiting platform. Two development strategies include employment of online resume and construction of database assessing job finder's competence. We also proposed target system architecture incorporating job database, competency assessment form, capability oriented resume. To analyze user requirement national competency standards and core job capability evaluation model were analyzed. Next, we designed integrated database, user interfaces, and dynamic functionalities using the forms developed in earlier stage. Finally, we assessed the fidelity of form item, integrity of database, and the usability of interface to evaluate the effectiveness of the system.

  • In this paper, since most business process of D-agency is being performed through some information systems, including Onnara System is a government standard operating management system, computerized accumulated in the system documentation based on, even if there is no independent job analysis system, in a judgment that can be can be tissue diagnosis, it presented a job analysis plan that leverages the existing information system. Most material is passed online in business processing between departments and between colleagues, it is returned. In situations where most information systems for such business processing is built developed, grasp the work procedures and information systems D-agency data accumulated to derive the necessary elements for job analysis quantified, and verified the validity of the element in the regression statistics. In addition, classification system (BRM, Business Reference Model) of the existing functionality that is available only Onnara System, and to establish a job analysis architecture to be able to function diagnostic departments to leverage common also in other information systems, related implement illustrating additional features of the information system, to derive a department duties value calculation formula with it, and present various job analysis plan that can actually be utilized to diagnose and derived elements department appropriate personnel.

  • In a dynamic business environment, the enterprise mobility solution for a mobile office (EMS) has been adopted to increase the competitive edge of organizations. By using an EMS, performance is expected to be enhanced. However, the related literature has paid little interest to the impact of system quality in an EMS on the information quality produced by the system. On the basis of socio-technical theory, we posited that the system quality in an EMS influences information quality. In addition, we investigated the relationships between the above two qualities, use and job performance by considering task mobility and task inter-dependence as control variables. Survey respondents were from many industries using EMSs. The result of structural equation modeling shows that system quality positively affects information quality, and other relationships in the model are proven statistically significant. We also found that system quality has stronger impacts on use and job performance than information quality does in EMS. However, system quality does not affect use in case both task mobility and task inter-dependence exist. The theoretical and practical implications of the result are discussed in the paper.

  • This paper studies the quality of the major domestic job information sites and compares the strong and weak points of them. The study was conducted with respect to the user satisfaction by asking job seekers and employers. Questionnaires consist of three factors: quality of information, quality of delivery, quality of environment, each factor of which contains several sub-questions. The results showed that the quality of information was the most important factor to both job seekers and job Provider. The lower job providers' satisfaction than job seekers' indicated more various services should be developed fer job providers. Specially, Personal information is not protected well enough to satisfy job seekers, so improvement plan is required. Public job information site requires as much service level as private job information sites.

  • Purpose To meet changing social demands and fulfill the needs of the information and communications technology industry, the curriculum of MIS related department should develop and implement new conceptual frameworks. In response, the purpose of this study was to develop curriculum for students in the Department of e-Business at Kyungnam University. Design/methodology/approach We conducted a demands analysis of educational demanders, NCS(National Competency Standards) based curricular analysis, and benchmarking from other management information systems related departments. The expert panel committee consisting of e-Business department faculty members was held to examine and discuss the student-oriented curriculum developed during this study. Findings Results show that the contents and types of curriculum should be organized so that students can maximize their professional job competency to apply to their core professional tasks. Given these findings, we reconstructed the curriculum with both basic and advanced courses, all systematically organized according to the job requirements they offer toward meeting the industry's needs. We also implemented the web-based JSSS(Job Searching Support System) with which educational demanders can search among 13 job types, estimate their performances, and obtain the information about course registration. In all this study presents specific, practical evidence of the job-related curriculum for students in the Department of e-Business at Kyungnam University.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient dynamic workload balancing strategy which improves the performance of high-Performance computing system. The key idea of this dynamic workload balancing strategy is to minimize execution time of each job and to maximize the system throughput by effectively using system resource such as CPU, memory. Also, this strategy dynamically allocates job by considering demanded memory size of executing job and workload status of each node. If an overload node occurs due to allocated job, the proposed scheme migrates job, executing in overload nodes, to another free nodes and reduces the waiting time and execution time of job by balancing workload of each node. Through simulation, we show that the proposed dynamic workload balancing strategy based on CPU, memory improves the performance of high-performance computing system compared to previous strategies.

  • Purpose : This study was conducted to analyze the job stress factors affecting the job satisfaction and job involvement of physical therapists and to provide basic information for the prevention of job stress among physical therapists. Method : One hundred and eighty-four physical therapists working in hospitals participated in the study by completing the Korean Occupational Stress Scale and surveys about job satisfaction and job involvement. The results were collected and analyzed. Result : The job stress factors the significantly influenced job satisfaction are the following, in order of importance: the organizational climate (p<.05), inter-personal conflict (p<.01), insufficient job control (p<.001), lack of reward (p<.001), and the occupational system (p<.001). The following factors significantly influenced job involvement, again in order of importance: job demand (p<.001), the organizational climate (p<.05), lack of reward (p<.05), the occupational system (p<.01), and insufficient job control (p<.001). Conclusion : The purpose of this study was to analyze the job stress factors affecting the job satisfaction and job involvement of physical therapists and to provide basic information to prevent job stress among physical therapists. The results indicate the need for more studies that analyze the job stress factors of physical therapists and additional studies that specifically analyze the tasks of physical therapists. Studies on how to reduce job stress among physical therapists must also be conducted in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate awareness of librarian's job prospects, and to do this a survey was conducted with 502 college students in 14 Departments of Library and Information Science around Korea and 753 librarians in libraries and related agencies. The study results are as follows. First, satisfaction with educational curriculum was higher in students than librarians. Second, both students and librarians regarded workplace based practical training as employment requirements and also evaluated certifications and academic performance as important requirements. Third, both groups asked that information on employment rates be available in a timely manner, and perceived that the librarian's job prospects were not bright. Therefore, in order to improve employment of librarians, it will be necessary to establish a job information system, reorganize the current educational curriculum into a practice-oriented curriculum, and introduce the national curriculum statements (NCS)-based curriculum.

  • It is required for enterprises to construct the proper information management system in order to cope with the volatile business situations. The mobile office system is introduced from the needs to provide organization members smart information and mobility. By setting the model, hence, we intend to scrutinize the impact of the task-technology fit model and organizational characteristics of the mobile office system on the job performance. As a result, system quality, information quality and mobility are revealed to affect positively the task-technology fitness and the fitness also affects the job performance positively. Organization characteristics affects the job performance positively through the task-technology fitness, too. Therefore the organization which plans to introduce the mobile office system should consider the task-technology fitness and exert organizational-level efforts to adopt and use the mobile office system in the workplace.
