On the Handling of Node Failures: Energy-Efficient Job Allocation Algorithm for Real-time Sensor Networks

  • Wireless sensor networks are usually characterized by dense deployment of energy constrained nodes. Due to the usage of a large number of sensor nodes in uncontrolled hostile or harsh environments, node failure is a common event in these systems. Another common reason for node failure is the exhaustion of their energy resources and node inactivation. Such failures can have adverse effects on the quality of the real-time services in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). To avoid such degradations, it is necessary that the failures be recovered in a proper manner to sustain network operation. In this paper we present a dynamic Energy efficient Real-Time Job Allocation (ERTJA) algorithm for handling node failures in a cluster of sensor nodes with the consideration of communication energy and time overheads besides the nodes' characteristics. ERTJA relies on the computation power of cluster members for handling a node failure. It also tries to minimize the energy consumption of the cluster by minimum activation of the sleeping nodes. The resulting system can then guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS) of the cluster application. Further, when the number of sleeping nodes is limited, the proposed algorithm uses the idle times of the active nodes to engage a graceful QoS degradation in the cluster. Simulation results show significant performance improvements of ERTJA in terms of the energy conservation and the probability of meeting deadlines compared with the other studied algorithms.

간호관리자의 감성리더십 관련 변인: 체계적 문헌 고찰 및 메타분석 (Factors Related to Emotional Leadership in Nurses Manager: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify research trends related to emotional leadership among nurse managers by conducting a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. This study sought to derive insights that could contribute to improving emotional leadership in nursing practice. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) and Meta-Analysis Of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (MOOSE) guidelines. Databases including PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus, Web of Science, Research Information Sharing Service, Koreanstudies Information Service System, Korean Medical Database, KoreaMed, ScienceON, and DBpia were searched to obtain papers published in English and Korean. Literature searches and screenings were conducted for the period December 1, 2023 to December 17, 2023. The effect size correlation (ESr) was calculated for each variable and the meta-analysis was performed using the statistical software SPSS 29.0, R 4.3.1. Results: Twenty-five (four personal, six job, and fifteen organizational) relevant variables were identified through the systematic review. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the total overall effect size was ESr = .33. Job satisfaction (ESr = .40) and leader-member exchange (ESr = .75) had the largest effect size among the job and organizational-related factors. Conclusion: Emotional leadership helps promote positive changes within organizations, improves organizational effectiveness, and increases member engagement and satisfaction. Therefore, it is considered an important strategic factor in improving organizational performance.

경기지역 장애인거주시설 종사자(중소기관)의 직무 중요도와 교육 필요도 인식 (The Cognition of Job Importance and Educational Needs according to Workers of the Disabled Residential Facilities(Small and Medium-sized Organization Organization) in Gyeonggi)

  • 최근 장애인거주시설 종사자의 전문성이 강조되고 있으며 그에 따른 교육파악에 대한 필요성이 증가되고있다. 따라서 본 연구는 경기지역 장애인거주시설 종사자의 직무 중요도와 교육 필요도 인식을 분석함으로 교육의 요구를 파악하였다. 이를 위해 경기지역 장애인거주시설 종사자 162명의 자료를 수집하였으며 수집된 자료는 t-검정과 IPA 분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 직무 중요도와 교육 필요도가 모두 높은 항목은 사례관리 실무기본, 사례관리 실무심화, 장애인생활지원 기본, 프로그램개발 기본, 기관홍보 기본, 사업기획 및 평가 기본, 사업기획 및 평가심화이었다. 본 연구결과는 장애인거주시설 종사자들의 교육체계의 방향성을 잡는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

반응표면 데이터마이닝 기법을 이용한 원전 종사자의 강건 직무 스트레스 관리 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Methods for the Robust Job Stress Management for Nuclear Power Plant Workers using Response Surface Data Mining)

  • While job stress evaluations are reported in the recent surveys upon the nuclear power plants(NPPs), any significant advance in the types of questionnaires is not currently found. There are limitations to their usefulness as analytic tools for the management of safety resources in NPPs. Data mining(DM) has emerged as one of the key features for data computing and analysis to conduct a survey analysis. There are still limitations to its capability such as dimensionality associated with many survey questions and quality of information. Even though some survey methods may have significant advantages, often these methods do not provide enough evidence of causal relationships and the statistical inferences among a large number of input factors and responses. In order to address these limitations on the data computing and analysis capabilities, we propose an advanced procedure of survey analysis incorporating the DM method into a statistical analysis. The DM method can reduce dimensionality of risk factors, but DM method may not discuss the robustness of solutions, either by considering data preprocesses for outliers and missing values, or by considering uncontrollable noise factors. We propose three steps to address these limitations. The first step shows data mining with response surface method(RSM), to deal with specific situations by creating a new method called response surface data mining(RSDM). The second step follows the RSDM with detailed statistical relationships between the risk factors and the response of interest, and shows the demonstration the proposed RSDM can effectively find significant physical, psycho-social, and environmental risk factors by reducing the dimensionality with the process providing detailed statistical inferences. The final step suggest a robust stress management system which effectively manage job stress of the workers in NPPs as a part of a safety resource management using the surrogate variable concept.

보건소 건강증진사업 담당자의 직무교육에 대한 인식 및 교육요구도 (Analysis of Perceived Job Training and Educational Needs for the Public Health Promotion Program Personnel)

  • Objectives: This study is for understanding the perceived job training of the public health promotion program officials and analysis the educational needs in order to serve as the basis for the development of the future educational programs. Methods: To this end, we have developed a survey based on references and consultations with experts. We had explained the purpose and the intent of the survey to nationwide public health directors in advance and an online questionnaire was conducted for health promotion program and service providing personnel; the results from a total of 763 survey respondents were used in the final analysis. Collected data were analyzed through SPSS Win 21.0. Results: The results shows that the tasks of public health promotion personnel are 'business practices,' 'planning and evaluation related work' and so on in order of importance while the duties of service providing personnel are 'counseling,' 'education' and so on. One of the factors affecting field applications of education is 'awareness of the connection between education and career development' which accounts for 33% of explanatory power; the selected six other factors constitute 41.7%. Necessary educational contents for public officials are 'public health service planning,' 'report writing skills' and 'project evaluation methods.' On the other hand, for service providers, the contents are 'counseling methods,' 'development of educational materials,' 'monitoring health status' and so on. Conclusions: In order for trained service personnel to accord with the changed health promotion environment and the demand of local residents, Public Health Promotion officials should increase educational opportunities based on the competencies for each job, provide continuous learning opportunities and information even after the training, and finally, create a system that can link to career development.

피부관리사의 스트레스가 피로도와 우울증에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Job Stress on Fatigue and Depression in Aesthetician)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 피부관리사들의 직무스트레스와 사회 심리적스트레스가 피로도와 우울증에 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위하여 부산광역시 133명의 피부관리사를 대상으로 실시하였다. 분석은 빈도분석, t-Test, ANOVA, 회귀분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 피부관리사들의 직무스트레스는 평균 2.57점으로 나타났고, 연령, 최종학력, 직위 일평균 근무시간, 피부관리실 유형이 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 피부관리사들의 사회 심리적 스트레스는 평균 2.45점으로 나타났고, 연령, 결혼상태, 근무연수, 직위가 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 피부관리사들의 피로도와 우울증의 차이는 피로도는 평균 4.16점으로 나타났고, 우울증은 평균 1.54점으로 나타났다. 넷째, 사회 심리적스트레스 요인은 우울증에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 피부관리사들의 피로도와 우울증을 줄이기 위한 근로자의 정규직화, 합법적 근무 시간의 조정 및 타 업종과의 유사한 급여 시스템 구축이 필요하다.

융합경력관리시스템이 직무몰입과 경력몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Convergence Career Management Systems on Job Engagement and Career Commitment)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 병원에 근무하는 직원들 가운데 경력관리제도 적용 하에 있는 간호사들을 대상으로 병원의 경력관리시스템의 품질요인들이 직원의 심리상태인 직무몰입에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 이러한 심리상태가 경력유효성에 관한 요인과 어떠한 상관관계를 갖는지 분석하여 효과적인 경력관리에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울시내에 있는 두 개의 대형병원에 근무하고 있는 의료진을 대상으로 설문을 배포 및 수집하였다. 실증분석결과 경력관리지원시스템이 직무몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 직무몰입은 경력몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 경력관리지원시스템은 경력몰입에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 경력평가시스템은 직무몰입과 경력몰입 모두에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 안전한 항행정보 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 전자해도, AIS정보, 항로표지정보, 해사안전정보, 날씨정보, 조류정보 등과 같은 다양한 데이터가 융합된 S-100 표준 기반의 e-Navigation 시스템이 구축되어야 한다. S-101 전자해도는 e-Navigation 시스템을 구축하기위해 선행되어야할 작업이며 S-101 전자해도를 구현하기 위해서는 S-100 General Portrayal Model의 Portrayal Engine에서 생성한 Drawing Instruction 집합을 분석하여 Rendering Engine을 구현해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존 S-57 전자해도와 S-101 전자해도의 Drawing Instruction을 분석하여 S-101 전자해도 구현을 위한 기반을 다진다.

Web-based Information Systems and Service Quality of IS Department

  • As growth of the web-based applications, the requirements of the users who have been very familiar to the web-based user interfaces and customer-oriented services on the Internet would become more knowledge-intensive and higher technology involved in a more convenient and polite way of service delivery. Therefore, the service quality of information system department should be considered as a very important factor influencing success of information systems. The objective of this study is to provide the relationship between service quality of IS department and its impacts such as use, user satisfaction and job performance. For this purpose, we provide a research model for it and test it empirically for the users of the corporate portal in one of main telecommunication service providers in Korea. In result, our model with satisfiable validity and reliability shows not only importance of IS departments' service quality but also two-faced characteristics of service quality. That is, while technical competence which means with knowledge and expertise of IS department staffs is more related with user satisfaction on information systems, personal service which means the way and manner of service delivery is more related with use of it.

  • 시스템의 한정된 자원을 다수의 사용자들이 프로그램을 실행 시 자원을 효율적으로 배분하기 위하여 작업관리 시스템을 사용한다. 이러한 작업관리 시스템은 여러가지 종류가 있으며 사용하는 시스템의 환경과 작업의 특성에 따라 적당한 작업관리 시스템을 선택하여 사용한다. IBM 시스템은 자체로 제공하는 작업관리 시스템으로서 LoadLeveler를 사용하고 있는데, 이러한 LoadLeveler에서의 클래스를 설계하여 작업의 처리 효율을 높혔으며 계정별 작업 우선순위를 부여하여 사용자게 선택의 폭을 넓히고 최적 환경을 구성하였다. 작업관리 시스템의 주요한 시스템 환경변수는 CPU와 메모리이고, 작업환경 변수는 작업 실행시간이다. 따라서 KISTI IBM 시스템에서는 이러한 환경을 사용자의 배분정책에 맞게 설계하여 시스템의 안정성을 유지하고 사용자의 선택에 따라 전체 작업처리 효율을 증가하였다.
