  • This study focused on the development of a conceptual model of the turnover intention of part-time sales associates in apparel retailing. A convenience sample of 294 college students who were part-time apparel workers was used to test the model. In this proposed model, organizational support and growth opportunity indirectly influenced turnover intention through work engagement, which in turn positively affected work effort, job performance, and job satisfaction. The results also revealed a direct relationship between work/role stress and burnout, which influenced turnover intention. These findings make a unique contribution to the extant literature and enable development of relevant strategies by apparel retailers.

  • Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are recognized as leading causes of significant human suffering, loss of productivity, and economic burdens on our society. WMSDs are associated with work patterns that include fixed or constrained body positions, continual repetition of movements, force concentrated on small parts of the body, cold environment and vibration. Main effort to protect workers from WMSDs should focus on avoiding repetitive patterns of work through engineering controls which may include mechanization, ergonomic design of tools and equipment, and workplace layout. Where elimination of the risk factors is not practical, administrative controls involving job rotation, job enlargement and enrichment, teamwork should be considered.

  • The objective of this study is to examine the experiences of living as a nursing student in Korea in terms of: how their time is spent studying and enjoying college life with relation to their goals. The challenges identified in achieving their goals were also analyzed. This study is underpinned with classical phenomenology. Seven qualitative studies were conducted with nursing students between the ages of 20 and 30. Semi-structured interviews were conducted using audio recordings which were then transcribed verbatim. Phenomenological thematic analysis of data was applied. The findings pivot around three interconnected themes: burden, licensing exams, and finding a stable job. Burden was identified as a temporally existing with getting the license and stable job. Burden consumes a lot of time and effort, which leads participants to burn a lot their energy and mental strength in the process.

  • The Agile methodology is a new trend in software development. Nowadays enterprises have been adopting the agile methodology in an effort to deal effectively with rapidly changing user requirements. In most cases, much improvement was accomplished in the software development. Some studies have mentioned that the motivation of software developers is a contributing factor on the improvement. However, it is not known yet what aspects of the agile methodology get them to be motivated. The aims of this study are the comparison between the traditional methodologies and agile methodology and look into potential motivation of software developer and their jobcharacteristics. For the empirical analyzing, research data were collected by 77 developers of 4 domestic IT companies. The analysis shows that there is significant differences on developer's potential motivation according to what kind of methodology is used. Agile developers to be more motivated than others methodologies developers. • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify influencing factors on service quality provided by care helpers working for the elderly in long term care. Methods: The data were collected using self-reported questionnaire from 221 care helpers working in long-term care facility or home care service center. The data were analyzed using multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in service quality depending on the health status, intimacy level, pleasure level, job education, and turnover intention. Factors influencing service quality were gender, intimacy level with elderly, type of working place and job satisfaction with $R^2$ value of 17.3%. The most influencing factor was intimacy level (${\beta}$=.249), followed by job satisfaction (${\beta}$=.208), gender (${\beta}$=.170), and type of working place (${\beta}$=.146). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the effort to improve the service quality of care helper should be focused on helping intimacy building between the elderly and the care helper. Also, a more effective way to improve service quality would be intervening for care helpers providing institutional care.

  • In an effort to become more competitive and cost efficient many companies have shifted from traditional job-shop production to production using group technology (GT) and cell manufacturing (CM). Cellular manufacturing is critical to implementing Just-in-Time (JIT) production which pointed out in the previous articles. and adopt the U-shaped cell which allows for entry at one end of the U and exist at the other. This paper looks at the availability of cellular manufacturing, by applying those concepts to the small and medium sized industry.

  • In 3D computer graphics, fractal techniques have been applied to terrain models. Even though fractal models are convenient way to get the data of terrain models, it is not easy to gain the final results by manipulating the data of terrain model. However, by using the object oriented programming techniques, we could reduce the effort of programming job to find the final result. In this paper, a set of classes made by object oriented programming technique is presented. To show the results, the data of a terrain model were made by a fractal technique, namely, the midpoint displacement methods with square lattices of points.
