This paper proposes an adaptive background image generation method based on the frame difference for traffic monitoring. The performance of the conventional method is limited when there are more vehicles due to traffic Jam. To improve on this, we use frame differencing to separate vehicles from background in frame differencing, we adopt selective approach by using part of the image not considered as vehicle fer extraction of background. The proposed method generates background more efficiently than conventional methods even in the presence of heavy traffic.

This study intended to identify the problems of the railroad which are raised as one of the 21C next-generation but to define the direction for the absence of the national policy and examine the competitiveness of railway transportation which is a Green Network with low environmental destruction and high energy efficiency as the continuable means of transportation for the 21st century with superiority to energy crisis caused by high oil price, conclusion of the Kyoto Protocol for worsened air pollution, and reduced cost of traffic jam.

Angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor was purified from Crassostrea gigas. The ACE belongs to the class of metalloprotease. This enzyme plays an important physiological role in regulating blood pressure of the rennin-angiotensin system by converting from angiotensin I to octapeptide angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor and by inactivating bradykinin, which has depressor action. Chitin is the second most abundant natural polymer after cellulose. It is mainly extracted from crustaceous shells and cell walls of fungi, insects and yeast. Chitin is known to be insoluble in most common solvents except for strong acids or N,N-dimethylacetamid because of its rigid crystalline structure through intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Therefore, different derivatives have been prepared based on chemical and enzymic modification of chitin. (omitted)

Chitosan, a deacetylated derivative of chitin, is one of the abundant resources, and its biological properties such as antibactierial activity, hypocholesterolemic activity, and hypertensive action are remarked. However, increasing attention has recently been yen to converting chitosan to its oligosaccharides because they possess various functional properties like antitumor activity, immune-enhancing effects, enhancing protective effects against infection with some pathogens in mice, antifungal activity, and antimicrobial activity (Jeon et al., 2001). Due to excessive city's Traffic jam, which an energy and pollution problem of metropolis have risen seriouly, Many industrialized countries have developed many kind of new transportation system for the purpose of substituting the mass traffic. Maglev system has began the revenue operation from Japan and China recently and it is beginning highlighted the new system. We examined specification to be improved in the system and safety of maglev.

We have proposed a fuzzy model for behavior of vehicles in the road traffic simulation system with microscopic model for analyzing traffic jam in the broad areas. It can exactly simulate each vehicle's behavior. We propose a new hardware processor to simulate fuzzy decision-making mechanism for its model. This paper describes the functions, performance and structure of the hardware processor.
