  • Company A's core competency is IT internet security services. The Web diagnosis team analyzes the vulnerability of customer's internet web servers and provides remedy reports. Traditionally, Company A management has utilized a simple table format report for resource planning. But these reports do not notify the timing of human resource commitment. So, upper management asked its team leader to organize a task team and design a visual dashboard for decision making with the help of outside professional. The Task team selected the web security diagnosis practice process as a pilot and designed a dashboard for performance evaluation. A structural design process was implemented during the heuristic working process. Some KPI (key performance indicators) for checking the productivity of internet web security vulnerability reporting are recommended with the calculation logics. This paper will contribute for security service management to plan and address KPI design policy, target process selection, and KPI calculation logics with actual sample data.

  • In this paper, we define four levels of analysis, design, implementation, and testing of the configuration of the development phase by S/W development life cycle. In particular, it dealt with the stage of the analysis phase to prepare an information system developed intensively. Details of the derivation of the information security requirements, it can be seen that comes from the perspective of confidentiality, integrity, availability and accountability, etc. It dealt with from the first manifestations of the projects planning to final planning to establish information security in activities of the Information Security requirements. As an example exhibited by assessing the information security analysis phase activities of S corporations, it can be seen that the improved sales rise in information security activities.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) is now spreading everywhere. It's the technology of every person's need so we can't step back from IoT but we can secure it as it is spreading quickly so it has greater chances of danger and being misused. There is an urgent need to make IoT devices secure from getting cracked or hacked. A lot of methods had tried and still trying to mitigate IoT security issues. In this paper Blockchain is going to be the solution of most of the IoT issues or problems. We have discussed or highlighted security issues with centralized IoT and then provided solution of such security challenges through the use of blockchain because is based on a decentralized technology that is hard to modify or update.

  • Enterprise security management system proposed to properly manage heterogeneous security products is the security management infrastructure designed to avoid needless duplications of management tasks and inter-operate those security products effectively. In this paper, we propose the model of generalized security policies. It is designed to help security management build invulnerable security policies that can unify various existing management infrastructures of security policies. Its goal is not only to improve security strength and increase the management efficiency and convenience but also to make it possible to include different security management infrastructures while building security policies. In the generalization process of security policies. we first diagnose the security status of monitored networks by analyzing security goals, requirements, and security-related information that security agents collect. Next, we decide the security mechanisms and objects for security policies, and then evaluate the properness of them on the basis of security goals, requirements and a policy list. With the generalization process, it is possible to integrate heterogeneous security policies and guarantee the integrity of them by avoiding conflicts or duplications among security policies. And further, it provides convenience to manage many security products existing in large networks.

  • The Common Criteria can be used as a guideline for one CCRA member to avoid re-evaluating IT security products which were already evaluated by other CCRA members. In this paper, we have analyzed the evaluated IT security products under CC scheme in several nations, such as Unite States, Great Britain and Australia. and defined new category of the IT security products for the domestic CC evaluation. And we have analyzed the domestic and international market on the information security products, have conducted a poll to receive opinions and demands of the Korean industries for Korea policy decision maker to select the possible IT security products which will be evaluated in Korea under CC scheme. As a conclusion, we have selected 15 IT products based on the response to a poll by the industries, the market size, the evaluation amount demanded by the user, manufacturer, and evaluator, to select the possible IT security product under CC schemes in Korea during next 5 years. Moreover, the characteristics, the benefit, and the demerit of the selected IT products were analyzed. This paper can be used as a guideline document for Korea policy decision maker to select the IT products to be evaluated under CC scheme in Korea for next 5 years.

  • If Industrial state-of-the-art technology that made through IT convergence should be to build safely environment that can protect then IT technology and manufacturing industry become convergence and a growth engine become stable positioning. In each industry, there has been a steady effort for the industrial security. However, they introduced only managerial/technical/physical countermeasures. Therefore, it is difficult to find a reference point as industrial security necessity, protecting coverage and things and so on. It is to lack that academic research in industrial security for protecting industrial technology. In detail, a clear definition lack for industrial security. And target range classification lack for industrial security studies. In this study, we redefined the concept of industry security through previous studies. Academic classification designed industrial security studies through delphi method. we analyzed industry security trends based industrial security studies classification and presented domestic industry research orientations.

  • As reliance on information and communication becomes widespread, a variety of information dysfunctions such as hacking, viruses, and the infringement of personal information are also occurring. Korean adolescents are especially exposed to an environment in which they are experiencing information dysfunction. In addition, youth cybercrimes are steadily occurring. To prevent cybercrime and the damage caused by information dysfunction, information security practices are essential. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to discuss the factors affecting the information security practices of Korean youths, considering information security education, perceived severity, and perceived vulnerability as leading factors of the theory of planned behavior. A questionnaire survey was administered to 118 middle and high school students. Results of the hypothesis test show that information security education affects perceived behavior control, and perceived severity affects attitude. Subjective norms, information security attitudes, and perceived behavioral control were found to influence adolescents' practices of information security. However, perceived vulnerabilities did not affect youths' information security attitudes. This study confirms that information security education can help youths to practice information security. In other words, information security education is important, and it is a necessary element in the information curriculum of contemporary youth. However, perceived vulnerability to youth information security threats did not affect information security attitudes. Consequently, we suggest that it is necessary to strengthen the contents of the information security education for Korean youths.

  • Recently, financial institutes and industrial companies are adopted to security token such as OTP, smart card, and USB authentication token and so on for secure system management and user authentication. However, some research institutes have been introduced security weaknesses and problems in security tokens. Therefore, in this paper, we analyses of security functions and security requirements in security token performed by analyses of standardization documents, trends, security problems, attack methods for security tokens. Finally, we propose a CC v.3.1 based security token protection profile.

  • Information service technology continues to develop, and information service continues to expand based on the IT convergence trend. The premeter-based security model chosen by many organizations can increase the effectiveness of security technologies. However, in the premeter-based security model, it is very difficult to deny security threats that occur from within. To solve this problem, a zero trust model has been proposed. The zero trust model requires authentication for user and terminal environments, device security environment verification, and real-time monitoring and control functions. The operating environment of the information service may vary. Information security management should be able to response effectively when security threats occur in various systems at the same time. In this study, we proposed a security policy distribution system in the object reference method that can effectively distribute security policies to many systems. It was confirmed that the object reference type security policy distribution system proposed in this study can support all of the operating environments of the system constituting the information service. Since the policy distribution performance was confirmed to be similar to that of other security systems, it was verified that it was sufficiently effective. However, since this study assumed that the security threat target was predefined, additional research is needed on the identification method of the breach target for each security threat.

  • In recent years The importance of information security management for securing information collection and analysis, production and distribution is increasing. Companies are assured of confidence in information security through authentication of information Security Management System. However, level assessment and use of domains that make up the management system is limited. On the other hand, the security maturity model is able to diagnose the level of information protection of the enterprise step by step. It is also possible to judge the area to be improved urgently. It is a tool to support goal setting according to the characteristics and level of company. In this paper, C2M2, which is an example of security maturity model, is compared and analyzed with Korea Information Security Management System certification. Benchmark the model to check the level of information security management and derive the priority among the items that constitute the detailed area of information security measures of ISMS certification. It also look at ways to check the level of information security management step by step.
