유사등방성 이종재 접합계면 균열의 에너지해방률에 대한 연구 (A Study on Energy Release Rate for Interface Cracks in Pseudo-isotropic Dissimilar Materials)

  • The stress intensity factor for an interface crack in dissimilar materials has been obtained by many researchers. But research of the energy release rate for an interface crack in pseudo-isotropic dissimilar materials is insufficient yet. In this paper, the energy release rate for cracks in pseudo-isotropic dissimilar materials was obtained using eigenfunction expansion method and also analyzed numerically using the reciprocal work contour integral method. The results were verified by comparing with other worker's results.

Deformation in transversely isotropic thermoelastic medium using new modified couple stress theory in frequency domain

  • The objective of this paper is to study the two dimensional deformation in transversely isotropic thermoelastic medium without energy dissipation due to time harmonic sources using new modified couple stress theory, a continuum theory capable to predict the size effects at micro/nano scale. The couple stress constitutive relationships have been introduced for transversely isotropic thermoelastic medium, in which the curvature tensor is asymmetric and the couple stress moment tensor is symmetric. Fourier transform technique is applied to obtain the solutions of the governing equations. Assuming the deformation to be harmonically time-dependent, the transformed solution is obtained in the frequency domain. The application of a time harmonic concentrated and distributed sources have been considered to show the utility of the solution obtained. The displacement components, stress components, temperature change and couple stress are obtained in the transformed domain. A numerical inversion technique has been used to obtain the solutions in the physical domain. The effects of angular frequency are depicted graphically on the resulted quantities.

  • Hollow-type microneedle array can be used for painless, continuous and stable drug delivery through a human skin. The needles must be sharp and have sufficient length in order to penetrate the epidermis. An array of hollow-type silicon microneedles was fabricated by using deep reactive ion etching and HNA wet etching with two oxide masks. Isotropic etching was used to create tapered tips of the needles, and anisotropic etching of Bosch process was used to make the extended length and holes of microneedles. The microneedles were formed by three steps of isotropic, anisotropic, and isotropic etching in order. The holes were made by one anisotropic etching step. The fabricated microneedles have $170{\mu}m$ width, $40{\mu}m$ hole diameter and $230{\mu}m$ length.

  • The objective of this paper is to study the deformation in transversely isotropic thermoelastic solid using new modified couple stress theory subjected to ramp-type thermal source and without energy dissipation. This theory contains three material length scale parameters which can determine the size effects. The couple stress constitutive relationships are introduced for transversely isotropic thermoelastic solid, in which the curvature (rotation gradient) tensor is asymmetric and the couple stress moment tensor is symmetric. Laplace and Fourier transform technique is applied to obtain the solutions of the governing equations. The displacement components, stress components, temperature change and couple stress are obtained in the transformed domain. A numerical inversion technique has been used to obtain the solutions in the physical domain. The effects of length scale parameters are depicted graphically on the resulted quantities. Numerical results show that the proposed model can capture the scale effects of microstructures.

  • For high efficiency of Si-cells, Si wafers were textured by the KOH and NaOH etching solution to decreas the reflectance at surfaces of the cells. The textured surfaces were shown various types such as isotropic and anisotropic depending on the etching solution. The reflectance at sample of an anisotropic form with pyramid type was lower than that of isotropic form. The surface with isotropic form of general tiny circles on the surface increased the efficiency, however, the reflectance of it was increased. The efficiency was increased on surface with low roughness.

  • 가로 등방성 복합재료에서 반사되거나 굴절된 파동의 속도와 입자방향, 그리고 진폭을 운동방정식과 구성방정식 그리고 파동수와 진동수로 표현된 변위식을 사용하여 구하였다. Snell 법칙을 사용하여 Eigenvalue 문제를 풀어 파동속도를 구하였으며 그 결과는 T300 Carbon fiber/5208 Epoxy 재료 성질을 이용하여 검증하였다. 이러한 분석은 수분 침수 C-scan을 이용하여 가로등방성 복합재료의 결점을 찾아내는데 응용될 수 있다.

  • We demonstrate an intriguing liquid crystal display (LCD) mode that comprises an optically isotropic liquid crystal (LC) composite incorporating with inplane electric field geometry. No surface treatment, such as rubbing, is required to fabricate the LCD mode because it is based on an optically isotropic state. The measured response time was of submillisecond order. The LCD mode has several unique features such as fast response, continuous grayscale capability, and a high contrast ratio.

  • 본 연구에서는 구형 공동을 가진 횡 방향 등방성 매체(transversely isotropic medium)에 한 방향의 인장과 평면 전단력을 각각 가한 후의 응력 분포를 고찰하였다. 이 연구에서 사용된 접근방법은 이론적 해석과 수치해석적 고찰을 병행하였다. 이론적 해석방법은 1종, 2종 Legendre함수를 이용한 potential function에 기초하였고, 수치해석적 방법은 유한차분법을 이용하였다. 다섯가지 이방성 재료에 대하여 두가지 하중 조건에 의한 수치해석 결과가 제시되었다.

  • In this paper a new constitutive model for ductile materials was proposed. This model can describe the material degradation due to the evolution of isotropic damage during elasto-platic deformation. The plastic flow rule was derived under the framework of thermodynamic approach of continuum damage mechanics(CDM) in which plastic strain hardening parameters and isotropic damage were taken as thermodynamic state variables. And the process to determine material constants for constitutive model using an experimental data was presented.

  • The V-notched crack problem in dissimilar materials can be formulated as an eigenvalue problem. The RWCIM(Reciprocal Work Contour Integral Method) is applied to the determination of the eigenvector coefficients associated with eigenvalues for V-notched cracks in pseudo-isotropic and anisotropic dissimilar materials. The RWCIM algorithm is programed by the commercial numerical program, MATHEMATICA. The numerical results obtained are shown that the RWCIM is a useful method for determining the eigenvector coefficients of V-notched cracks in pseudo-isotropic and anisotropic dissimilar materials.
