Around the end of 2017, the investment fever for cryptocurrencies-especially Bitcoin-has started all over the world. Especially, South Korea has been at the center of this phenomenon. Sinceit was difficult to find the profitable investment opportunities, people have started to see the cryptocurrency markets as an alternative investment objects. However, the cryptocurrency fever inSouth Korea is mostly based on psychological phenomenon due to expectation of short-term profits and social atmosphere rather than intrinsic value of the assets. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze influence of people's social sentiment on price movement of cryptocurrency. The data was collected for 181 days from Nov 1st, 2017 to Apr 30th, 2018, especially focusing on Bitcoin-related post in Twitter along with price of Bitcoin in Bithumb/UPbit. After the collected data was refined into neutral, positive and negative words through sentiment analysis, the refined neutral, positive, and negative words were put into regression model in order to find out the impacts of social sentiments on Bitcoin price. After examining the relationship by the regression analyses and Granger Causality tests, we found that the positive sentiments had a positive relationship with Bitcoin price, while the negative words had a negative relation with it. Also, the causality test results show that there exist two-way causalities between social sentiment and Bitcoin price movement. Therefore, we were able to conclude that the Bitcoin investors'behaviors are affected by the changes of social sentiments.
To investigate the effects of national forest management on the regional community, the inter-relationship between the local communities and neighbouring forest owned by the state was surveyed in the three locations, namely pyungchang-gun, Bonghwa-gun, and Kwangyang-gun, which have a large area of national forest. The effect of national forest management on the local community was different depending upon the relationship between the local community and the national forest, the resource base and infrastructure and facilities installed within the national forest. The major contribution of the national forest to regional society is the provision of land resources, forest products, employment opportunities, and social functions of forest. The supply of land resource from the national forest has been increasing steadily due to the increase in demand for public facilities. About one quarter of household income in the forest villages surveyed came out of the sales of forest products, mainly non-timber products. Due to the low level of forest operations for timber production, there are very limited opportunities of employment provided by the national forest. And the use of forest roads by local residents was also to a limited extent. Therefore, it is suggested that the national frosts should be managed such that help to revive the economy of local communities which are disadvantaged in the national investment priority due to the low economic returns.
This paper attempts to understand the reality of Netflix on the Korean film distribution market environment, and to verify the possibility of developing domestic content centered on independent films in the OTT market, led by Netflix. The research significance of finding the way for Korean diverse films and independent films that cannot be provided with investment and distribution opportunities in various Korean Wave contents will be studied, and the characteristics of Netflix in the Korean film market will be explored. Netflix disseminates Korean contents such as Korean movies and Korean dramas, contributes to the spread of the Korean Wave, and is re-adjusting the paradigm of the distribution market, raising issues that cause a virtuous cycle of profits, controversy over net usage fees, and flooding of Hollywood movies. Considering the nature of intercultural exchange, the interaction between independent film content, Netflix platform, audience, and global market will expand interactive communication opportunities. In other words, just as Netflix uses the Korean media market to make profits, Korea should also use Netflix to try to expand the global market of Korean film contents (K-Film)and maintain a cultural and economic reciprocal attitude.

In this research, we performed a SWOT analysis to analyze the feasibility of cultivating tropical fruits in Korea, using the mango as a case study. The opportunities for domestic tropical fruit (mango) cultivation are that the domestic cultivation environment is improving due to global warming, the consumer market is expanding due to the increase in domestic demand, and some local governments are supporting the cultivation of tropical fruits as a new high-income crop. The strengths are that it is possible to produce high quality fresh fruits in Korea and that they are still distributed in small quantities, so they can be differentiated from imported ones. There are regular customers and the mango is recognized as a medicinally functional fruit. The threats are that the price competitiveness of imported goods is likely to be further strengthened due to the implementation of the FTA and that it is difficult to cope with the unpredictable climate changes, such as heavy snowfall and extremely cold weather. The weak points are that the initial investment cost is high, the operating costs such as heating bills are also very high, and there is no supply system for the chemicals, fertilizers and cultivation technology required for tropical fruits. In order for tropical fruits such as mangoes to become major fruits, we must make full use of these strengths and opportunities while, at the same time, complementing the weaknesses and eliminating the threats in the value chain.
Market instability offers opportunities as well as the need for careful innovation strategies and learning for a company's survival. Companies that find new opportunities decide to carry out innovation and decide on the size of their investments by considering their position in the market they are aiming for and the intensity of competition. This study was conducted to check whether obstacles to innovation face by SMEs in the manufacturing sector vary depending on the stage of corporate growth and to identify the impact of the government support system on the decision-making process on the performance of innovation. According to the analysis, there were differences in obstacles to innovation depending on the stage of corporate growth. It was found that more innovative SMEs are, more obstacles they face, and to overcome such obstacles, they try to access government support systems more. In addition, the use of a government support system eliminated obstacles to innovation, and the positive and significant effects of investing in innovation were identified. This study is meaningful in that it explicitly approached these hypotheses by applying a multistage model to the process of innovation carried out by SMEs in the manufacturing sector.
Purpose - Before the economic reforms, the Chinese communication industry was poorly developed. After China's entering to WTO, the Chinese market were gradually opened, domestic companies will be faced with more and more pressures of competition from the world rival countries. As time goes on, the overseas telecommunications companies will occupy the Chinese market with the opening of China Telecommunications market to outside. So this paper focuses on problems and development methods based on the research about the present situation and development methods of communication industry(communication manufacturing industry and communication manufacturing industry) in China. Research design, data, and methodology - This study analyzed the policies of China's entering to WTO. This paper observed previous researches and made an empirical research on Chinese communication industry based on the governmental policies, strategies, books and previous papers with several kinds of clear data announced formally by China authorities. Results - Most recently, reorganization of the communication industry has brought good opportunities for the development of the communication manufacturing enterprises. This paper analyze policy changes of Chinese communication industry, the status of communication manufacturing industry and communication service industry. Finally, this study for further research analyzes the existing problems and puts forward some practicable measures to solve them. Conclusions - Looking ahead, with China's rapid economic development and steady deepening of reform and opening-up, the Chinese communication industry is faced with an even broader prospect of development. Chinese communication industry will be become the pillar one in national economy after 10 years development. Foreign communication companies accelerated investment and progresses to Chinese information and communication markets. Positive ones are more foreign investment, export increase, domestic innovation, communication industry made steep growth. But negative ones are obstacles of domestic companies' development and jobless rate increase etc. Second communication manufacturing industry made good development, but computer and TV related industry made decline in growth. Third, market sizes of internet and mobile services are growing but the size of wired communication services is downsizing gradually. To overcome them, the studies of components or parts of communication manufacturing industry are needed individually. Second China Unicom, China Telecom, China Mobile etc. are Chinese representatives. The sales volumes are very similar at the beginning, but now they are different and make big differences. So the analysis about, their differences and its impact, are needed.
The Mekong River is a river in the south-eastern part of the continent of Aisa. It flows through the countries of Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam that are located in Indochina and are members of ASEAN. These countries are growing rapidly and many others have entered into these markets. As the number of manufactures has increased, logistics markets become very attractive to our logistics companies that want to expand their business. This study focuses on four countries, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam, which have potential economic growth and shows the environment of logistics with current logistics infrastructure and related investment law and system. The goal of this study to provide, with strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats(SWOT) analysis, some strategies to enter 4 countries' logistics market with SWOT and the strategies are as follows; First, foreign direct investment in logistics is linked with logistics infrastructure projects. This study examined one of the contemporary issues on debate to identify any significant financial determinants on the cash holdings of the cheabol firms in the Korean domestic capital markets. Several important findings on the financial characteristics affecting the cash holdings were evidenced by utilizing various methodologies for statistical estimations. Financial or managerial implications with discussion were provided for the pronounced factors such as CASHFLOW, MVBV, REINVEST, and AGENCY. Assuming that the chaebol firms were overall subject to the financial constrains, they may increase or stockpile cash reserves as internal capital for future investment opportunities or repayment of existing debt, rather than external financing burdened by a high cost of capital. Given the on-going controversy on the optimal level of corporate cash holdings coupled with any foreseeable capital transfer among the associated nations through the investment vehicles such the FTAs (Free Trade Agreements) or TPP (Trans-Pacific Pacts), any empirical findings of the study may shed new light on identifying financial determinants which may significantly affect the level of cash holdings for the business conglomerates, the 'chaebol' firms, in the Korean capital markets.
As globalization, international cooperation has grown in importance. In accordance with this trend, Korea has been receiving high demands from international organizations about expanding the scale of Official Development Assistance(ODA) in line with its improved national status. In addition, in the economic aspect of Korea, the ODA project is expected to provide new growth opportunities in the mid- to long-term by promoting cooperation with developing countries. Uganda is an area with high strategic value due to good agricultural conditions and favorable geographical conditions. The poultry industry is a business that is generally carried out to the Ugandan, but due to economic problems such as initial investment cost, most of them have raised poultry on a small scale which is not enough for main income. This paper proposes the construction and operation plan of adapting to small poultry farms in the village-intensive type to sustainable income for residents in Uganda through ODA project in Korea's agricultural technology. The economic feasibility was analyzed from the long-term perspective when the initial construction cost was supported or not and the poultry species ratio was adjusted in terms of initial and operating costs. Economic analysis was performed using Net Present Value(NPV) method. As of after 10 years, when operating in the form of shifting kuroiler to layers, it was estimated to earn about 700,000 ugx more than when only kuroiler is raised, and it is able to reduce about 14 million ugx from the initial cost than when only raising layers. As of 20 years, the most profitables scenario was the breeding of 100 kuroilers and 400 layers methods. however, this case was anlayzed to be unsuitable for Uganda farmers, with initial costs more than three times higher than the shifting method of the kuroiler to layers. If the initial construction cost is supported by ODA project, the initial investment cost can be recovered in the first year with the shifting method, whereas raising only layers take two years to recoup the cost. In the meantime, when studying livestock industry in Uganda, it was examined by relying on statistical data, but this paper is meaningful in that it predicted how much it is economically effective based on field experience.

With the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in sight, innovative business models utilizing new technologies are emerging, and startups are enjoying an abundance of opportunities based on the agility to respond to disruptive innovations and the opening to new technologies. However, what is most important in creating a sustainable start-up ecosystem is not the start-up itself, but the process of research-start-investment-investment-the leap to listing and big business-in order to build a virtuous circle of startups that leads to re-investment. To this end, the environment created in the hub area where start-ups were conducted is important, and these material and non-material environmental factors are described as being inclusive by the word "entrepreneurial ecosystem." This study aims to provide implications for Korea's entrepreneurial ecosystem through the study of the interaction of the elements that make up the start-up ecosystem and the relationship of ecosystem participants in Singapore. Singapore has been consistently mentioned as the top two Asian countries in assessing the start-up environment and business environment. In this process, six elements of the entrepreneurial ecosystem presented by Isenberg(2010)-policies, finance, culture, support, human resources, and market-are the best frameworks for analyzing entrepreneurial ecosystems in terms of well encompassing prior studies related to entrepreneurial ecosystem elements, and a model of regional transformation is formed focusing on some elements to suit Singapore, the target area of study. By considering that Singapore's political nature would inevitably have a huge impact on finance, Smart Nation policy was having an impact on university education related to entrepreneurship, and that the entrepreneurial networks and global connectivity formed within Singapore's start-up infrastructure had a significant impact on Singapore's start-up's performance, researches needed to look more at the factors of policy, culture and market. In addition, qualitative research of participants in the entrepreneurial ecosystem was essential to understand the internal interaction of the elements of the start-up ecosystem, so the semi-structured survey was conducted by visiting the site. As such, this study examined the status of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem based on qualitative research focused on policies, culture and market elements of Singapore's start-up ecosystem, and intended to provide implications for regulations related to start-ups, the role of universities and start-up infrastructure through comparison with Korea. This could contribute not only to the future research of the start-up ecosystem, but also to the creation of a start-up infrastructure, boosting the start-up ecosystem, and the establishment of the orientation of the start-up education in universities.
