It also tries to find out proper designs of governance structure and strategic and operational control system of the center. Two methods are used to find out Korean firms' requests. One is the expert interviews and the other is the questionnaire survey. The email survey is sent to 120 firms of IT service, package software, telecom facilities and broadcasting equipment industries. Their opinions in addition to interview results are used as a basis of selecting potential regions for new centers and types of their services. According to survey results, southeast asia is the most preferred region and Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore are selected as potential nations for a location of the center in southeast asia. However, the survey result is not fully agreed with the interviewees' opinions. The interviewees tell that there are not much demand in nations with low purchasing power and low IT industry level. That is, Indonesia and Vietnam are not proper places for the centers.

Participants were 7 shift nurses working in advanced general hospitals who were rearing young children. Data were collected individually through in-depth interview on their life experiences. Data were analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological methodology. Results: Eighteen themes were drawn from 256 meaningful experiences and these themes were integrated to six theme clusters. The most influencing themes were 'Regret that I cannot satisfy even the slightest wish', 'Fail to care for kids', and 'Mutual feeling to care giver between appreciation and inconvenience'. Other themes were as follows: 'Body and mind are broken', 'The need for a three-shift system to support nurses who are rearing children', 'Doing my best for work and child rearing'. Conclusion: The nature of three-shift nurses working in advanced hospital and caring kids is explained as 'lives with conflict' between work and home. This study suggests it is necessary to establish a 24-hour care center for 3-shift nurses to keep working while rearing their children.

  • Objectives: The aim of this analysis was to investigate factors associated with dental visits in terms of getting diagnosis and receiving care for diagnosed dental diseases among Korean adults. Methods: Data used in this analysis were from the 2005 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey which involved a representative sample of 25,487 adults nineteen years of age and older who resided in Korea. This analysis used data of adults who had completed health interview survey (n = 25,215). Uni- and bi-variate analysis, Chi-square test, and logistic regression analyses. were conducted using SAS. Results: The percentages of people diagnosed (treated) dental canes, periodontal disease. and temporomandibular joint disorder were 70.4(77.1), 16.1 (55.7), and 0.6(37.4), respectively. The reception of treatment for diagnosed dental caries and periodontal disease was significantly associated with older age, high monthly household income, and high education attainment. Logistic regression model indicated that age, monthly household income, education attainment, type of health insurance, and chewing problem were significantly associated with getting diagnosis and treatments of dental diseases. Most frequently answered reason for non - or delayed treatments of diagnosed dental diseases during the last one year was cost of treatments. Conclusions: The findings indicated that socio-economic-status still significantly affected reception of needed dental treatments among Korean adults despite the national health insurance system. Oral health policy and programs should be augmented to provide further support to adults of low socio-economic-status who are more prone to dental diseases yet lack resources for needed dental treatments.

  • To find an efficient solution for the globalization of Korean food in Brazil, we conducted a survey about the satisfaction of Brazilian natives who had visited a Korean restaurant, and possible suggestions for improvement. We also conducted indepth interviews with 13 owners of Korean restaurants in Seo Paulo, Brazil, about their plans to improve Korean food to be more appealing to the Brazilian palate. Our research shows that Korean restaurants had a below average reputation for employee kindness, menu taste and variety, interior, mood, and accessibility. As a result of the survey, we found that Korean restaurants were considered in general to be below average. The survey also showed that the higher the level of a person's economic standing, the less satisfaction they had with Korean food restaurants. We also found that the most common pieces of advice that Brazilian women had regarding Korean restaurants were to offer more variety in the menu, maintain a cleaner restaurant, and to actively engage in public relations. The general concerns of everyone surveyed focused on cleanliness and public relations of the restaurant. However, food-related people focused more on the taste and quality of the food. Sao Paulo is currently the most well-developed economic center in South America, so the world's food service industry is pushed to the front of its ongoing development. For Korean food to make inroads into Brazil, Korean restaurants need to change the niche that they occupy. First-generation family businesses and second-generation specialized family businesses coexist in that city. So first of all, to localize the Korean food for Brazilian tastes, a menu system that will easily allow natives to access Korean food must be established. And second of all, it must support the total food culture by improving distribution, sanitation management, and marketing methods that can get the natives to like Korean food ingredients.

  • Background: Dental treatment has shifted to the center of the community, and the public policy of the country has expanded to support the vulnerable classes such as the disabled. The dental profession needs education regarding oral health services for persons with disabilities, and it is necessary to derive the competencies for this. Therefore, we conducted this study to derive the normative ability to understand the role of a dental hygienist in the oral health service for persons with disabilities and improvement plans for education. Methods: We conducted a qualitative analysis for deriving competencies by analyzing the data collected through in-depth interviews with experts in order to obtain abilities through practical experience. Based on the competency criterion, relevant competency in the interview response was derived using the priori method, and it was confirmed whether the derived ability matched the ability determined by the respondent. Results: The professional conduct competencies of dental hygienists, devised by the Korean Association of Dental Hygiene, consists of professional behavior, ethical decision-making, self-assessment skills, lifelong learning, and accumulated evidence. Also, core competencies of the American Dental Education Association competencies for dental hygienist classification such as ethics, responsibility for professional actions, and critical thinking skills were used as the criterion. The dental hygienist's abilities needed for oral health care for people with disabilities, especially in the detailed abilities to fulfill these social needs, were clarified. Conclusion: To activate oral health care for people with disabilities, it is necessary for dental hygienists to fulfill their appropriate roles, and for this purpose, competency-based curriculum restructuring is indispensable. A social safety net for improving the oral health of people with disabilities can be secured by improving the required skills-based education system of dental hygienists and strengthening the related infrastructure.

  • This study investigates the process of PCK formation for 2017 novice teachers in Busan. This study was conducted parallel to quantitative research using the H-PCK measurement tool as well as qualitative research methods through an open questionnaire and after-interview. Consequently, the H-PCK level of novice teachers was 3.51. The knowledge of perspective on home economics education (KP) was 3.87, knowledge of home economics curriculum (KC) was 3.37 and the knowledge of home economics instructional strategies (KI) was 3.39. Study participants reported that curriculum knowledge, curriculum content knowledge, and teaching strategy knowledge were formed through preparation for appointment; however, it was not possible to judge if PCK was formed for the restructuring ability or the reconstruction ability. Knowledge related to curriculum content was learned through teacher training, internet teacher community, and internet information materials. Knowledge of teaching strategies was learned through 1-2 teaching consulting or peer scholarship. It is necessary to revise the university curriculum (such as expansion of curriculum education, expansion of experience in teaching practice, and actual case study) order to form PCK. Second, it should be developed and operated various training programs for the formation of home economics education curriculum knowledge. Third, it is necessary to organize a nationwide system to support the mentor. In the future, it is necessary to study PCK analysis for each unit and topic as well as to explain methods that can be provided to field teachers.
