다수/다차원 격자형데이터를 이용한 해상도 변환의 효율적 방안 연구 (The Effective Method for Changing the Resolution of the Grid Environment Data)

  • In counterfire warfare, it is important to detect and attack enemy targets faster than the enemy using sensing The grided environmental data is usually provided by the numerical simulation coupled with a data assimilation technique and various inter- or extrapolation algorithms, both of which are based on the observation spanning from simple equipments to satellites. In order to employ the gridded environmental data in the M&S system frequently cutting area and changing its resolution, interpolation algorithms such as linear, cubic spline, IDW, and Kriging methods are necessary to apply. These methods, however, require much time in the M&S system. This paper introduces a technic to reduce time to change the resolution of data. using the binary search method, which finds a point to interpolate quickly and interpolate data in the vicinity of. We also show the efficiency of proposed methods by way of measuring the respective elapsed times.

  • An unstructured overset mesh method has been developed for the simulation of unsteady viscous flow fields around multiple bodies in relative motion. For this purpose, a robust and fast search technique is proposed for both triangle and high-aspect quadrilateral cell elements. The interpolation boundary is defined for data communication between grid systems and an interpolation method is suggested for viscous and inviscid cell elements. This method has been applied to calculate the flow fields around 2-D airfoil including relative motion. Validation were made by comparing the predicted results with those of experiments or other researcher's numerical results. It was demonstrated that the present method is efficient and robust for the prediction of unsteady time-accurate flow fields involving multiple bodies in relative motion.

Investigation of Strain Measurements using Digital Image Correlation with a Finite Element Method

  • This article proposes a digital image correlation (DIC) strain measurement method based on a finite element (FE) algorithm. A two-step digital image correlation is presented. In the first step, the gradient-based subpixels technique is used to search the displacements of a region of interest of the specimen, and then the strain fields are obtained by utilizing the finite element method in the second step. Both simulation and experiment processing, including tensile strain deformation, show that the proposed method can achieve nearly the same accuracy as the cubic spline interpolation method in most cases and higher accuracy in some cases, such as the simulations of uniaxial tension with and without noise. The results show that it also has a good noise-robustness. Finally, this method is used in the uniaxial tensile testing for Dahurian Larch wood specimens with or without a hole, and the obtained strain values are close to the results which were obtained from the strain gauge and the cubic spline interpolation method.

A Study on Fast Maximum Efficiency Control of Stator-Flux-oriented Induction Motor Drives

  • This paper presents a novel maximum efficiency control scheme for convergence improvement in stator-flux-oriented induction motor drives. Three input powers are calculated at three different flux levels, respectively. A quadratic curve is obtained using the quadratic interpolation method using the three points. The flux level at the lowest point of the interpolated curve is calculated, which is not the real minimum input power of the motor, but an estimated one. Hence, the quadratic interpolations are repeated with three new points chosen using the selection method for new points for refitting until the convergence criteria are satisfied. The proposed method is verified by simulation results.

  • 본 논문에서는 H.264/AVC 표준 중에서 움직임 추정기의 고속 움직임 예측을 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 움직임 추정은 H.264의 비디오 코딩 과정에서 가장 많은 연산량을 차지하는 중요한 처리과정이다. 정화소 단위에서의 탐색에 비해서 부화소단위까지의 움직임 추정은 영상의 압축률은 높일 수 있지만 계산의 복잡도가 늘어나는 문제점이 있다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 정화소 움직임 벡터가 최종 움직임 벡터인 경우에 부화소 탐색을 생략하게 되며 그렇지 않은 경우 CBCDS (Center Biased Cross-Diamond Search)를 적용하여 부화소 움직임 탐색을 하여 기존의 전역 탐색 알고리즘에 비해 비교적 화질에 변화가 없고 탐색 지점이 81.4% 감소하는 결과를 보였다

  • 격자화 자료변환에서는 격자절점의 보간과정에서 경중률을 산정하는 수학적 알고리즘과 이산자료의 특성에 따라 격자화 기법들간에 상이한 보간결과를 제시하므로 격자화기법의 최종선정에 앞서 탐색거리, 탐색영역, 탐색옵션에 따른 격자화기법들의 사전 검토가 요망된다.; 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 해석 입체도화기로부터 획득한 이산지형정보에 6가지 격자화기법을 동일한 검색기준에 따라 적용하고 원자료의 보존성 및 입체도화기로부터 제작된 등고선도와의 비교를 통하여 격자화 기법에 따른 3차원 이산지형정보의 보간특성을 고찰하였으며 아울러 격자화된 DEM의 임의 종단방향에 대한 단면선형의 검토 및 토공량 산정을 통하여 격자화기법의 실 응용면도 고찰하였다.

효과적인 도서목록 검색을 위한 개선된 OCR알고리즘에 관한 연구 (Improvement OCR Algorithm for Efficient Book Catalog RetrievalTechnology)

  • 본 논문에서는 기울어진 문자, 다양한 크기, 글씨체, 흐린 문자를 포함한 입력영상의 문자 복원과 인식, 효율적인 도서 검색을 위한 광학문자인식 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 광학문자 인식알고리즘은 검출부와 인식부로 구성되며, 검출부에서는 복잡한 배경에서 정확한 도서 영역 검출을 위하여 로버츠 에지 연산자와 허도로프 거리 알고리즘을 적용하여 필요한 영역을 검출하였다. 또한 인식부에서는 문자의 크기와 경사도, 부분 손실 등의 영상에 강인성을 갖는 바이큐빅 보간법을 적용하여 데이터 손실 복원과, 반자동 기울기를 갖는 입력 영상의 보정을 하였다. 모의실험 결과 기존 알고리즘 보다 인식률에서는 6%, 검색시간에서는 1.077초 더 우수함을 확인하였다.

디지털 설진 시스템의 색상 보정 (Colour Interpolation of Tongue Image in Digital Tongue Image System Blocking Out External Light)

  • Objectives The aim of this study is to propose an optimized tongue colour interpolation method to achieve accurate tongue image rendering. Methods We selected 60 colour chips in the chips of DIC color guide selector, and then divided randomly the colour chips into two groups. The colour chips of a group (Gr I) were used for finding the optimized colour correction factor of error and those of the other group (Gr II) were used for verifying the correction factor. We measured colour value of the Gr I colour chips with spectrophotometer, and took the colour chips image with a digital tongue image system (DTIS). We adjusted colour correction factor of error to equal the chip colour from each method. Through that process, we obtained the optimized colour correction factor. To verify the correction factor, we measured colour value of the Gr II colour chips with a spectrophotometer, and took the colour chips image with the DTIS in the two types of colour interpolation mode (auto white balance mode and optimized colour correction factor mode). And then we calculated the CIE-$L^*ab$ colour difference (${\Delta}E$) between colour values measured with the spectrophotometer and those from images taken with the DTIS. Results In auto white balance mode, The mean ${\Delta}E$ between colour values measured with the spectrophotometer and those from images taken with the DTIS was 13.95. On the other hand, in optimized colour correction factor mode, The mean ${\Delta}E$ was 9.55. The correction rate was over 30%. Conclusions In case of interpolating colour of images taken with the DTIS, we suggest that procedure to search the optimized colour correction factor of error should be done first.

4K UHD급 H.264/AVC 복호화기를 위한 4×4 블록 병렬 보간 움직임보상기 아키텍처 설계 (A Design of 4×4 Block Parallel Interpolation Motion Compensation Architecture for 4K UHD H.264/AVC Decoder)

  • 본 연구에서는 4K UHD($3840{\times}2160$) 영상을 실시간 복호화하기 위한 $4{\times}4$ 블록 병렬 보간 H.264/AVC 움직임보상기를 제안한다. 연산처리 성능을 향상시키기 위해 보간 연산을 $4{\times}4$ 블록 단위로 병렬화시켰으며, 병렬 보간 연산에서 필요한 메모리 대역폭을 확장하기 위해 $9{\times}9$개의 메모리 어레이를 가진 2D 캐쉬 버퍼 구조를 설계하였다. 그리고 2D 캐쉬 버퍼는 검색영역 간 재사용 기법을 적용하여 참조화소의 중복저장을 최소화하였으며, $4{\times}4$ 블록 병렬 보간 필터는 3단(수평 수직 1/2부화소, 대각선 1/2부화소, 1/4부화소) 평면 보간 연산 파이프라인 구조로 설계하여 연산회로를 고속화시켰다. 0.13um 공정에서 시뮬레이션한 결과, 161K게이트의 H.264/AVC 움직임보상기는 동작주파수 150MHz에서 4K UHD급 동영상을 초당 72프레임으로 실시간 처리하는 성능을 보였다.
