The purpose of this study was to analysis the characteristics on participation process and meaning of Dancesports participants. The participants could dance both Latin and Modern with more than three years of participation experience. The data analysis was based on open coding, axial coding and selective coding from the grounded theory of Strauss & Corbin(1998). The results of the analysis were as follows; It was found that causal situation have a longing for Dancesports and a means of living, contextual situation indicated perception of potential ability, media, and leisure chance, intervene condition given improvement of interpersonal relationships, bilateral strategies betterment of lesson place and health promotion and others. As results, the participants were able to find out their positive and negative aspects of participating Dancesports classes, and showed that Dancesports provided the participants for vitality of life.

Purpose: This study was to scrutinize not merely the nomenclature of clinical competency suggested in nursing literature but also what core clinical competency nursing students should be focused on for improving competency-based curriculum. Methods: A comprehensive review on 69 domestic and 89 foreign related literature was conducted. After reviewing the full text of a total of 158 articles, only 23 articles with measurement tools were selected for scrutinizing while 135 articles with obscure definitions of clinical competency were excluded. Results: Clinical competencies including 120 concepts were identified. Those concepts were categorized as 30 clinical competencies according to their similarities. Seven core clinical competencies including 1)nursing knowledge, 2)nursing skill, 3)interpersonal skill/cooperation, 4)problem-solving, 5)professionalism, 6)nursing management/leadership and 7)research ability were derived from the 30 clinical competencies through the categorizing process. Conclusion: Teaching & learning strategies should focus on the integration of nursing theories and clinical practices based on competency-based curriculum considering the 7 core clinical competencies. Nonetheless, they include somewhat abstract concepts and some were not concrete enough to be applied to the nursing curriculum. Thus, further research is needed in order to develop consensus-driven clinical competencies and competency modeling which can suggest the interrelation between the core competencies.
This study is to analyze and examine the relations of lifestyle, fashion behavior, and make-up behavior of post digital generation and to provide the basic data which help to establish and perform the distinctive marketing strategies targeting the post digital generation. Subjects were 1,460 male and female undergraduates who attend colleges or universities in Seoul, Busan, and Daegu. Average, standard deviation, MANOVA, and ANOVA were conducted using SPSS 12.0 statistic program. The results were as follows: The higher points the group got in all the subfactors regarding information seeking pursuit and sensation intention fascination pursuit, the higher points the group had in the subfactors of fashion behavior and make-up behavior. The group with higher fashionenjoyment pursuit appeared to seek after more brand price choice behavior, internet shopping purchasing behavior, fashion information source seeking behavior, and impulse buying behavior in the subfactors of fashion behavior as well as more self-satisfaction appearance orientation and fashion information buying orientation in the subfactors of make-up behavior. With the group in pursuit of more multi activities, not only were brand price choice behavior and fashion information source seeking behavior in the subfactors of fashion behavior sought after more, but self-satisfaction appearance orientation and fashion information buying orientation in the subfactors of make-up behavior were pursued more as well. The more interpersonal relations the group had, the more self-satisfaction appearance orientation and fashion information buying orientation in the subfactors of make-up behavior as well as the more brand price choice behavior, fashion information source seeking behavior, impulse buying behavior, other-regarding behavior and independent buying behavior in the subfactors of fashion behavior the group had.
This descriptive correlational study was conducted to identify the variables related to a health promoting behavior in nursing students. 238 nursing students were selected by a convenience sampling method. The data were collected by self - reported questionnaires from 12 to November 19, 2001. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression with an SPSS program. The result of this study were as follows: 1. The average score of health promoting behavior was 2.47(SD=0.36)of a 4 point scale. Self actualization (mean=2.94, SD=0.50), interpersonal support (mean=2.91, SD=0.53), stress management(mean=2.58, SD=0.48), health responsibility(mean=2.07, SD=0.48)) nutrition & exercise(mean=2.07, SD=0.48)) were also analyzed. 2. Health promoting behavior showed significant positive correlations with selfesteem(r=0.446, p<0.001) perceived health status(r=0.180, p<0.01), perceived benefits (r=0.183. p<0.01). self-efficacy(r=0.311, p<0.001), social support(r=0.447, p<0.001), control(r=0.169, p<0.01). 3. The combination of self-esteem, social support, affect related to action explained $38.0\%$ of the variance in health promoting behavior. On the basis of the above findings. self-esteem and social support were identified as the variables which explained most of Pender's health promoting model. Nursing strategies enhancing self-esteem and social support which have a more significant effect on health promoting lifestyles should be developed.
Objective: This research investigates how to increase the quality of medical service and supply high quality of medical service to patients. By using Kano Model theory we examines what medical service attributes the hospital would be conducted preferentially for patient's satisfaction and provides informations of management strategies for hospitals. Method: To study patients' perception of medical service quality, first we performed pilot test to derive 30 medical service attributes. With 30 medical service attributes, we conducted survey of 300 subjects who have experienced medical services in 6 months. To examine patients' conception of medical services, a modified Kano's questionnaire using 5 scale is applied. Finally we calculated SI(Satisfaction index) and DI(Dissatisfaction index) and PCSI(Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement) index with Kano's Model analysis results. Key Findings: We found that the quality of medical service categorized in 15 one-dimensional elements, 9 must-be elements and 6 indifferent elements. Moreover the attribute of gives prompt services and have patient's best interest at heart scored the highest SI, whereas the attributes of accurate and precise medical service, exact records, enough explanation and polite attitudes are the highest score of DI. And also good explanation of the bill scored the highest PCSI. In this study findings indicate that while medical service providers try to increase patients' satisfaction by improving hospital's environments, patients' perception of trust and good interpersonal relationships with medical service providers have strong and positive impact on patients' satisfaction.
Purpose: This study was conducted to describe qualitatively the entities of nurse's experiences in general hospitals and to suggest basic data guiding research on developing Standards of clinical nursing practice in Korea. Method: Fourteen nurses working at general hospitals with over 300 beds in Seoul were interviewed in-depth until saturation using tape-recorders and transcription. Result: The central theme of clinical nursing practice experienced by subjects was "being with clients" that means accepting client's personal character, solving client's needs and providing client-centered nursing. A also "being with clients" was felt to be the responsibility of nurses which was learned from their nursing schools. The nursing strategies performed in order to be with patients were proving skillful nursing techniques, accepting, educating, emotional support, advocating, and self-reflecting, the subjects experienced somewhat problematic affects such as difficulties in interpersonal relationship, work overload, negative image of nursing, deficit of self-confidence for nursing actions, poor working conditions, and unfair treatment. Nurses at the hospital practiced with pride when they felt that they were accepted by clients. Conclusion: Further research is needed to analysis problems in clinical practice and the comparison of nurses' experiences of clinical practice, with nurses' experiences in various settings.
The purposes of this study were to examine the levels of job stress and job burnout perceived by nutrition teachers and dietitians in school foodservice in Gyeongsangnam province and to analyze job stress factors affecting job burnout. A total of 270 questionnaires were distributed from December 10 to 29, 2010 and 252 were returned (response rate : 93.3%). A total of 245 were used in the final analysis (usage rate : 90.7%), excluding seven improper questionnaires. The results of this study were as follows : 100% of the respondents were women, and their mean age was 38. 60% were nutrition teachers and 40% were dietitians. The level of job stress and job burnout of the respondents were 2.89 points (on a 5-point Likert scale) and 3.70 (on a 7-point Likert scale), respectively. In regard to job stress factors, job demand (3.97) recorded the highest scores, followed by organizational system (2.99), lack of reward (2.85), interpersonal conflict (2.69), job insecurity (2.63), organizational climate (2.63), and insufficient job control (2.45) in that order. Exhaustion burnout (4.60) recorded the highest points among job burnout factors, followed by cynicism (3.46), and professional efficacy (3.04) in that order. Job stress factors affecting job burnout were organizational system (p<.001), job insecurity (p<.001), lack of reward (p<.001), and organizational climate (p<.01). In conclusion, it is necessary to provide human resources management strategies to lower job demand and workload in order to reduce job stress and job burnout for dietitians and nutrition teachers in school foodservice.

Objective : The purpose of our study was to investigate the relationship between job stress and depressive disorder among emotional laborers in a city. Methods : A total of 677 emotional laborers living in Jeonju-city participated in this study. The participants completed survey questions regarding demographic characteristics, job stress (using the Korean Occupational Stress Scale-24, KOSS-24), and depression (the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, PHQ-9). Logistic regression was performed to estimate the association between job stress and depression. Results : Our results indicated that 34.9% of the participants had a high risk of total job stress and 21.7% of participants had depression. In the multivariate logistic regression analysis, female sex (OR=1.66, 95% CI=1.01-2.72) and total job stress (OR=3.84, 95% CI=2.57-5.75) were significantly associated with depression after adjusting for confounding factors. Among the subscales of job stress, job demand (OR=3.06, 95% CI=1.99-4.72) and occupational climate (OR=1.88, 95% CI=1.19-2.97) were significantly associated with depression. But insufficient job control, interpersonal conflict, job insecurity, the organizational system and lack of rewards were not. Conclusion : Among the emotional laborers, job stress, particularly job demand and occupational climate, were major contributing factors associated with depression. Early screening and preventive strategies focusing on job stress could reduce the impact of depression in emotional laborers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the ecological factors influencing school adjustment of adolescents from low-income families. Methods: Secondary data analysis was performed using data of 1,321 low-income adolescents in 123 regions found on the Survey on Service Satisfaction with Community Child Care Center. Results: The results of multi-level analysis identified the factors influencing school adjustment of low-income adolescents as follows: individual-level factors were gender, grade in school, and emotional problem; an interpersonal-level factor was family structure; organizational-level factors were length of time attending center and satisfaction with the service of the center; community-level factors were region and perception of community. Conclusion: The results suggest that low-income adolescents' adjustment to school is influenced not only by individual factors but also by diverse environmental factors. Community factors suggest that more education support systems and leisure facilities for adolescents need to be built in small and medium cities. Strategies to enhance positive perception of community are also needed for this population. Further, it is necessary to develop multi-level interventions to improve the school adjustment of adolescents from vulnerable social groups.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to seek ways to improve the quality of life of workers by separating workers into the low fatigue group and the severe fatigue group depending on the level of fatigue level, and analyzing and understanding the difference between quality of life and job stress according to the fatigue level. Methods: For the 'Development of Mibyeong management system which was a consumer-directed health care service', the data of job stress, fatigue and quality of life was collected from 115 workers who visited the oriental hospitals located in J city and C city from Jul, 2012 to Dec, 2012. Results: The severe fatigue group showed significantly higher job stress than the low fatigue group in physical environment (p=.004), job demand (p<.001), interpersonal conflict (p=.012), lack of reward (p=.062). The severe fatigue group showed lower degrees both in physical component summary (PCS) (p<.001) and mental component summary (MCS) (p<.001) measured by SF-12 and the quality of life (p<.001) measured by EQ5D than the lower fatigue group. A relatively strong negative correlation was found in the item of mental component summary (MCS) measured by SF-12. Conclusion: Considering our results that high fatigue level show negative impact on quality of life and job stress, we suggest to provide a variety of health promotion strategies to improve the quality of life through the prevention and relief of fatigue for workers.
