인터넷폰의 QoS를 위한 적응적인 버퍼관리 방식 (Adaptive Buffer Management Method for Quality of Service of Internet Telephony)

  • 인터넷전화(Internet telephony)는 network를 통하여 음성데이터를 주고받는 응용프로그램으로 좋은 음질의 제공은 필수적이다. 그러나 음성데이터가 네트워크를 통하여 전송이 되면서 전송지연과 지연 편차 등의 Jitter현상에 영향을 받아 음질의 저하를 유발하므로 수신측에서는 적절한 jitter buffer를 제공해야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷전화에서 보다 양질의 음성을 제공하기 위하여 단말기 입장에서 버퍼관리 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 현재 단말기에서 사용하고 있는 압축알고리즘의 종류와 수신된 데이터만을 근거 자료로 수신데이터의 변화에 적응적으로 반응하면서 음질을 향상할 수 있는 버퍼관리 알고리즘이다. 제안한 알고리즘의 유용성을 확인하기 위하여 다양한 네트워크 상황에서 기존의 알고리즘과 네트워크 상황판단의 성능을 비교한다.

제 2형 당뇨병환자 성별에 따른 인터넷 당뇨 교육 효과 비교 (Comparison of the Effects of Internet Diabetes Education by Gender in Type 2 Diabetic Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether the effect of Intenet diabetes education varied by gender. Method: An experimental group assessed pre- and post intervention was used to assess the effectiveness of diabetes education by nurses. Forty patients separated into two groups by gender partook in the study. The goal of the intervention was to keep blood glucose concentrations close to normal range. The intervention was applied weekly for 3 months. Participants were requested to input their blood glucose level, diet, and exercise diary everyday at http://www.biodang.com by cellular phone or wire Internet. The researcher sent optimal recommendations to each patient using the short message service of cellular phones and wire Internet. All medication adjustments were communicated to the subjects' doctors. The plasma glucose levels, serum lipids, and care satisfaction were measured before and after the intervention. Result: Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) decreased 1.6% and 0.8% in male and female patients respectively after 3 months of education. Total cholesterol decreased 37.2mg/dl in male patients but increased 80.5mg/dl in female patients. Conclusion: These findings indicated that Internet diabetes education could improve HbA1c and total cholesterol in male patients.

태풍시기 기상정보 제공에 대한 방송사와 인터넷 보도자료 분석 (Analysis on Broadcasters and Internet Reports that Provide Weather Information Regarding Typhoons)

  • As a result of broadcasters' websites, there were more reports during the typhoon Bolaven/Tembin in 2012 than in 2002 and 2003. Checking related press releases of each broadcaster on NAVER, YTN reports are 3 times more than KBS. Considering great technology progress in the Internet and smart phone user environment compared to the past, it is thought to be rather regretful in that KBS has been the supervising broadcaster over Korean disaster. As a result of daily reports, the year 2002 typhoon Rusa was reported from the date of its arrival on Korean Peninsular to 3 days, but the information required to be provided for disaster prevention before its arrival was too scarce. 2003 typhoon Maemi was reported as many times as the 2002 typhoon, but its information was provided before its arrival. This is meaningful because the information provision was intended for disaster prevention unlike the past. In 2012, the number of weather forecast broadcast on the typhoon Bolaven/Tembin increased greatly compared to 2002 and 2003. This was also determined to be due to abundant information provided by broadcasters and the Internet portal sites as a result of great progress in Korea internet industry.

청소년 대상 인터넷/스마트폰 중독 중재연구에 대한 통합적 문헌고찰 (An Integrative Review of Interventions for Internet/Smartphone Addiction among Adolescents)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics of intervention programs for internet/smartphone addiction among adolescents through an integrative literature review. Methods: We searched MEDLINE(PubMed), CINAHL, Embase, DBpia, RISS, and KISS using a combination of "Internet or $phone^*$," "$addicti^*$," "adolescent," and "intervention or program or therapy." The searched studies were reviewed according to the criteria and an integrative literature review was conducted on the 14 selected papers published from January 1, 2013 to November 14, 2017. Results: Through the integrative review and analysis, a total of four attributes of interventions and their effects were derived. First, the number of group-focused interventions was significantly higher than that of individual-focused ones. Second, the interventions addressed various aspects of adolescents' problems while considering the complex nature of addiction problems. Third, there was a bias for region and sexual ratio. Lastly, most studies were actively conducted in community-based counseling or psychology settings. Conclusion: It is necessary to find more effective methods for addressing internet/smartphone addiction among adolescents through multidisciplinary approaches, including the consideration of various cultural and gender characteristics. This study provides a basis for developing future programs addressing addiction problems among adolescents.

Virtual Presentation and Customization of Products Based on Internet

  • Through reviewing and comparing the current virtual shopping malls web sites integrated VR into E-commerce, this paper analyzed both the advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of methods for product presentation: 2D image based and 3D model based presentation method. Using the virtual shopping mall (EasyMall) as a showcase, we presented the architecture of the system and the development technologies, especially those in the mixed presentation method. The presentation and customization methods in the two related modules, including the PhoneShow for mobile phone and EasyShow for textile products, were discussed. It indicated that the integration of E-commerce with VR could provide consumers with virtual experience and intelligent service for business activities. Furthermore, the product presentation methods can be made available for use in different cases.

Implementation of Smart Control System based on Intelligent Dimming with LEDs

  • In this paper, an intelligent dimming control system is designed and implemented with the human visual response function using CDS sensor, PIR sensor and temperature sensor, etc. The proposed system is designed to detect a moving object by PIR sensor and to control the LED dimming considering the human visual response. Also, the dimming of LED light can modulate on the app, and simultaneously control dimming in real-world environments with smart phone app. A high-temperature warning or a fire hazard information is transmitted to user's smart phone according to sensor values and Data graph are provided as part of data visualization. Connecting the hardware controller, the proposed intelligent smart dimming control system is expected to contribute to the power reduction interior LED, smart grid building and saving home combining with internet of things.

스마트폰의 지속적 사용에 관한 이해: 물류분야의 택배서비스업 사례 (Understanding the Continuous Intention of the Smart Phone Use: The Case of a Delivery Services Company in Logistics)

  • The rapid changes in business environments are also applicable to the delivery service field. Numerous companies are using smart phones in order to perform work of the delivery service field that is rapidly developing every year. Smart phones established ubiquitous work environments where access to the server of the head office is possible through telephones, scanners, and the internet anywhere and anytime. However, although smart appliances including smart phones have been diffused, empirical analysis of use of them in actual has not been attempted much. In this regard, current study empirically analyzes how connectivity and context-awareness function of smart phones based on the TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) influence the continuous intention to use through trust, usefulness, and ease of use. The results indicate that the connectivity and context-awareness function, which are natures of smart phones, had impacts on the ease of use and trust, but not on the usefulness. Based on these results, this study suggests implications and future research directions regarding the planning and realization of smart appliances.

  • In this paper, we design and develop a personalized advertisement and information services system based on mobile RFID using RFID virtual tag. It is a system to perform the use of the contents information or the commercial transaction on the contents products through internet server connection by using RFID tag information with a mobile according as transmitting immediately to a cell phone after a tag generator derived RFID tag information to be substituted for the contents information being output at present, after being transmitted from a cell phone the information request signal on the contents information being output from video media. This service system provides a mechanism for gathering advertisement information left behind by many clients visiting advertisement sites for analysis of customers property, service model for selecting personalized services, and mechanism for providing them to customers who visited in a advertisement mall joined to the shopping site.

  • The technique of the information communication are advanced recently and a performance enhance of a hand carried computing device was developed rapidly. Mobile Communication Carrier developed currently the phone navigation and are carrying out the service. But such service localizes at the vehicle movement. In This paper, we explain a system structure for the pedestrian navigation of the Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability(WIPI) mobile phone which contains the MS-Based Global Positioning System(GPS) internally. And we verified the result to be developed by this method that proposes.
