The goal of supply chain integration is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain for creating customer values. Supply chain integration can be classified into IT integration and structural integration. Also, structural integration can be collapsed into three dimensions: internal, supplier and customer integration. In this study, we investigate the relevance between customer value and supply chain integration. To explore the current study, we collected from 73 Korean firms. The results are as follows: First, customer value has a positively significant effect on IT integration. Second, customer value influences on customer integration but does not has an effect on internal and supplier integration. Third, IT integration improve internal, supplier and customer integration. Finally, each of structural integration positively influences firm performance. These results indicated that declaration of customer value is important factor in supply chain integration.

Compliance with information security policies has been an important managerial concern in organizations. Unlike traditional general deterrent theory, this study proposes whistle-blowing as an alternative approach for reducing internal information security policy violations. We build on the theories of planned behavior and rational choice as well as develop a theoretical model to understand the factors that influence whistle-blowing attitudes and intention at both the organizational and individual levels. Our empirical results reveal that altruistic and egoistic concerns are involved in the development of whistle-blowing attitudes. The results not only extend our understanding of whistle-blowing motivation but also offer directions to managers in promoting internal disclosure of information security breaches.

This paper addresses the optimal design of dividing wall distillation column which is rapidly applied in a variety of chemical processes over recent several years because of its high energy saving efficiency. A general dividing wall column model which can cope with the heat transfer through the dividing wall is developed using rigorous computer simulation. Based on the simulation model, the effects of the internal recycle flow distribution around the dividing wall and the heat transfer across the dividing wall on overall system performance are investigated. An improved column design method is suggested to utilize the heat transfer through the wall. The suggested method is compared with the existing method via simulation study in which the proposed design shows improved energy saving result.

The importance of EDI is growing more and more as the trend of E-Commerce is changing to B2B from B2C. So far WEB-EDI system using HTML has substituted for existing traditional VAN-EDI system. But the critical problem of WEB-EDI is that integrating among the internal systems in the company is difficult. In this paper we suggests a method for integrating the internal data and thus internal systems by using XML, a second generation markup language.

In this paper, a generalized framework called as robust internal-loop compensator(RIC) is presented, and by using this, a structural design method of sliding of sliding mode controller is proposed. First, a general sliding mode controller is derived and a stabilizing control input is designed based on Lyapunov redesign for the system in the presence of uncertainty and disturbance. And adopting the internal model following control, RIC is proposed. Next, using the structural characteristics of the proposed RIC, disturbance attenuation characteristics are analyzed and the performance of the closed-loop system is predicted. Through this analysis, it is shown that if the control gain of RIC is increased by N times, the magnitude of error is reduced to its 1/N. the proposed method is verified through experiments using a high-precision positioning system and the performance is evaluated.

We shall consider fuzzy hypotheses test for signed-rank Wilcoxon fuzzy test by fuzzy difference on rate of internal division. Fundamental to these discussion are fuzzy number data and Wilcoxon signed-rank fuzzy test of a fuzzy hypothesis $H_{f0}$ which is based upon a fuzzy statistics whose distribution does not depend upon the specified distribution or any parameters.

A new robust controller design methodology for single-input single-output systems is proposed, where the proposed controller consists of a conventional or optimal servo controller at the outer loop as well as the robust internal-loop compensator(RIC) to eliminate the model uncertainty and external disturbance. It is shown that RIC with finite gain can make actual systems be nominal models within a prespecified error bound. And, it is also shown that RIC-based system is robustly stable regardless of input saturation. Several numerical examples are illustrated to show validities of the proposed robust controller.

This proposed system is a part of internal control system that national highway need to support their ITS information audit. This paper explains the design and implementation of a packet interceptor and a DB query analyzer. The packet interceptor sniffs users' query packets, and then the DB query analyzer parses the SQL queries and stores the users' DB access information such as SQL queries, access data and changing data. The information may be used as the evidences on internal control of users and users' accesses.

Obesity in the United States is a medical crisis with many people attempting to lose weight with caloric restriction. Some patients choose minimally invasive weight loss solutions, such as intragastric balloon systems. These balloon systems were approved by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) in 2015-2016 and have been considered safe, with minimal side effects. We report a patient with a two-day history of melena, abdominal pain, hypotension, and syncope which developed five months after placement of an intragastric balloon. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy with balloon removal revealed a small 8-mm gastric ulcer in the incisura. This gastric ulcer probably developed secondary to mechanical compression of the stomach mucosa by the gastric balloon which contained 900 mL of saline. The FDA is now investigating five deaths since 2016 associated with these second-generation balloons. Clinicians should be aware of these complications when evaluating patients with gastrointestinal complications, such as bleeding.

Many organizations experience that the Performance they gained from IT portfolio is lower than they expected values. As with any investment, executives are concerned with maximizing the performance from their investment in IT. This study focused on the relationship or fit between orientations of IT strategy and directions of IT portfolio to maximize IT performance. A field survey of chief information officers of Korea manufacturing sector was conducted in 2003. Complete data of 147 firms was analyzed to determine relationship among the three research constructs that are orientations of IT strategy, directions IT portfolio, and IT performance. In this study, the orientations of IT strategy have two dimensions that are operation orientation and market orientation. The directions of IT portfolio have two dimension that are internal system focused and external system focused. And the IT performance has divided into operational performance and competitive performance. As a result of this study, the companies that are putting a focus with operation orientation were concentrated on internal information systems than external information systems. On the other hand, the other companies that are focused on market orientation were concentrated on external information systems than internal information systems. Consequently, the companies that are focused on operation orientation were operational performance higher than competitive performance and the other companies that are focused on market orientation were competitive performance higher than operational performance. More importantly, the research results provide empirical evidence that supports the hypothesis related to closer fit between IT strategy and IT portfolio does lead to increase operational and competitive performance of IT. And the results emphasize manager's efforts of fit between orientations of IT strategy and directions of IT portfolio to be realized IT performance.
