초등학교 과학영재의 귀인성향과 과학 관련 태도 및 과학탐구능력과의 관계 (Relationship of Attribution Styles and Science-related Attitude and Science Process Skills of Science-gifted)

  • The purpose of this study is examine relationship of attribution styles and attitude toward Science and Science Process Skills of Science-gifted, to understand unique characteristics of the Science-gifted and to give useful information that can be use in develop special programs for the Science-gifted. The result of this study were as follows: First, there was no difference between genders. But there was a significant difference in attribution of luck. Second, there was a correlation between internal tendencies and Scientific attitude. Especially attribution of effort correlated with sub - constituent of Scientific attitude. Internal tendencies correlated with the Cognition in Scientific Professions that sub - constituent of the attitude toward Science. Third, There was a correlation between external tendencies and the interest activity in Science that sub - constituent of the attitude toward Science. There are correlations between sub - constituent of the attitude toward Science and sub - constituent of external tendencies that attribution of luck and interest in Scientific Professions, attribution of task difficulty and Cognition activity in Science. Fourth There was no correlation between Attribution styles and Science Process Skills. But Internal tendencies correlated with classification that sub - constituent of Science Process Skills. And classification correlated with attribution of ability that sub - constituent of external tendencies. Attribution of effort that sub - constituent of internal tendencies correlated with Science Process Skills.

사회적 배제가 과시소비에 미치는 영향: 내적귀인과 자존감의 조절역할 (Influence of Social Exclusion on Conspicuous Consumption: Moderating Effect of Attribution and Self-Esteem)

  • Purpose - This research aims to investigate the influence of social exclusion on conspicuous consumption. Specifically this research suggested that the influence of social exclusion on conspicuous consumption would be different depending on consumers' psychological characteristics such as internal attribution tendency and self-esteem. Design/methodology/approach - The experiment was conducted to verify hypotheses. 110 sample data were collected from the experiment and SPSS PROCESS Macro was used for data analysis. Findings - The result revealed that the interaction effect of social exclusion and internal attribution was significant. Specifically, social exclusion had on positive impact on conspicuous consumption for consumers with high level of internal attribution tendency. In addition, conspicuous consumption was pronounced for consumers having both high level of internal attribution and low level of self-esteem. Research implications or Originality - The result is expected to expand the research scope on social exclusion and conspicuous consumption, and provide practical implications for marketers.

유아의 내외통제 신념과 자아개념 및 성공적 수행에 대한 자기-귀인간의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relations Among Chidren's Locus of Control, Self-Concept and Self-Attribution)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relations among locus of control(LOC), self-concept and self-attribution in five-year-old children. The subjects were 107 five-year-old children attending 7 public kindergartens. Instruments used in this study were the Stanford Preschool Internal-External Scale (Mischel, Zeiss, & Zeiss, 1974), the Self-Concept Inventory (Joo Ree-bun, 1982), and puzzle-task employed by Burns et al. (1985). Data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient and t-test. The results showed (1) significant correlations between the total LOC score and self-concept, (2) significant differences in the total LOC score between the internal self-attribution group and the external self-attribution group, and (3) significant differences in self-concept between the internal self-attribution group and the external self-attribution group.

새터민의 자아존중감 및 내적귀인성향에 따른 사회문화적 적응 (Social-Cultural Adjustment of North Korean Defectors by Self-Esteem and Internal Attribution)

  • This study explores the social-cultural adjustments of North Korean defectors with respect to their self-esteem and internal attribution. The data were obtained from a survey of 195 North Korean defectors who had recently entered South Korea. The respondents had moderate difficulties in their social-cultural adjustment consisting of social activity restriction, discrimination, and social exclusion. Their social-cultural adjustment was positively associated with internal attribution. Those with internal attribution tended to have fewer problems in adjusting to the social systems and culture of South Korea. The findings of this study imply that psychological resources play a role in enhancing the social-cultural adjustment of North Korean defectors.

귀인 경향에 따른 도덕성(도덕신념, 판단, 행동) 발달 분석 (Developmental Analysis of Morality(Belief, Judgment & Behavior) in Relation to Attribution)

  • Different aspects of morality, namely, moral belief, moral judgement and moral behavior have been studied seperately. This study examined the development of these three aspects of morality in relation to internal attribution in one sample. A total of 371, third -and sixth- grade children from Masan city were responded to questionnaires on moral belief, moral judgement, and attibutional tendency. In addition, children's moral behavior was measured by the teachers' 5-item rating scale. As results, there were signigicant but low correlations among three components of morality. There were developmental differences in moral belief and moral judgement but there was no age difference in moral behavior. Compared to third graders, sixth graders were higher in moral judgement but lower in moral belief. Social experience as well as cognitive development on moral relativity could explain this paradoxical developmental trend in moral belief. There was a sex difference only on moral behavior : Girls were rated higher in moral behavior than boys. Internal attribution was significantly correlated with all three aspects of morality, .15 with moral belief, .45 with moral judgement, .14 with moral behavior, respectively. There was a significant developmental difference but no sex difference in attributional tendency: Sixth graders reported higher internal attribution than third graders. However, there was no developmental difference in correlations among internal attribution and three aspects of morality. Most importantly, internal attribution explained morality better than either age -or sex- variable. It was suggested that educational programs on morality need to focus on the internalization of it.

미세먼지 피해 예방 행동 증진에 대한 연구: 귀인과 위험 지각을 중심으로 (A Study on Improving Preventive Behavior against Fine Dust: Focusing on Attribution Style and Risk Perception)

  • This study was conducted to examine the influence of different styles of attribution to fine dust on preventive behaviors. In addition, the mediating effect of risk perception on the relationship between attribution styles and preventive behaviors was examined. Survey data was collected from 930 Korean people from a variety of ages and regions, and a hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis. The results indicated that both external and internal attribution to fine dust had a significant positive effect on preventive behavior. The multiple regression analysis revealed that both knowledge and dread had a significantly positive effect on preventive behaviors. In addition, risk perception (knowledge and dread) partially mediated the relationship between the external attribution to fine dust and preventive behavior. However, internal attribution showed only a direct effect on protection behaviors. The significance and limitations of the study were also discussed.

어머니의 양육행동 내적 귀인과 정서적 불안정성이 부모역할에 대한 자기평가에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Mothers' Parental Internal Attributions and Neuroticism on Self-Perception of the Parental Role)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the main and interaction effects of mothers' parental internal attributions and neuroticism on self-perception of the parental role. Methods: A total of 138 mothers with toddlers in Seoul and other big cities in Korea completed questionnaires, and data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analyses. Results: The results were as follows: First, mothers who attributed their successful parenting to ability showed lower satisfaction, and mothers who attributed their successful parenting to ability and effort showed higher feelings of equilibrium. Mothers with higher levels of neuroticism showed higher competence, parental investment, and satisfaction in their self-perception of the parental role. Second, there were significant interaction effects between ability attribution and neuroticism on feelings of equilibrium, between effort attribution and neuroticism on feelings of equilibrium, between ability attribution and neuroticism on competence, and between effort attribution and neuroticism on parenting investment. Conclusion: The findings of this research indicate that neuroticism showed a positive effect on self-perception of the parental role because neuroticism indicates sensitivity in parenting. Further, the effects of neuroticism on self-perception of the parental role differed by mothers internal attribution.

일부 치위생과 학생의 귀인성향, 자기효능감이 시험불안에 미치는 영향 (Effect of attribution disposition and self-efficacy on test anxiety in selected dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine effect of attribution disposition and self-efficacy on test anxiety in selected college students who major in dental hygiene. This study provides basic data to develop a program for dental hygiene students to reduce test anxiety. Methods : 328 students from A college in Kyungnam, B college in Chunnam and C university in Chungnam who majored in dental hygiene were asked to answer the self-efficacy scale, attribution disposition and test anxiety scale in November and December. 2008. Total of 311 copies were analyzed. Using SPSS 15.0, correlation analysis was conducted and structural model was verified using AMOS 7.0. Evaluation of mediated effect of attribution disposition in suggested structural model was assessed using Sobel verification. Results : 1. Looking at the correlation among self-efficacy, attribution disposition and test anxiety. Self-efficacy had negative relation with external attribution disposition and test anxiety. External attribution disposition had positive relation with test anxiety. 2. Path coefficient from self-efficacy to internal attribution disposition was significant positively and path coefficient from self-efficacy to external attribution disposition was significant negatively. However, the path coefficient from self-efficacy to test anxiety was insignificant. 3. Path coefficient from external attribution disposition to self-efficacy was positively significant. However, the path coefficient from internal attribution disposition to self-efficacy was not significant statistically. 4. In structural model among attribution disposition, test anxiety and self-efficacy, indirect effect of external attribution dispositions was significant statistically. The students with higher self-efficacy showed lower external attribution disposition, the students with lower external attribution disposition showed lower test anxiety. Conclusions : To reduce test anxiety, educators should find a strategy that can improve students' self-efficacy and change their attribution disposition.

암환자가 지각한 원인지각 차원별 동질집단 분석 (Clusters Analysis According to Causal Attribution in Patients with Cancer)

  • Purpose: This study is designed to identify clusters according to the causal attribution that people make about the cancer and to determine influences of coping behavior and depression as output of causal attribution. Method: The subjects were 192 patients who had been diagnosed cancer one year ago and attended an outpatient clinic. For cancer patients to be classified homogenious groups according to causal attribution, cluster analysis of subjects' ratings on the Causal Dimension Scale was been made. Results: Cluster 1(n=71) had patients with having external, stable and uncontrollable attribution. Cluster 2(n =70) had patients with having unstable and external controllable attribution regarding cause of cancer. They were not important whether cause of cancer was self or other. Cluster 3(n=51) had patients with having internal, unstable and internal controllable attribution. Coping behaviors between cluster 1 and 3 were significant difference. However, depression was not significant difference among clusters. Conclusion: Based upon these results, it is recommended that the developing training program to be changed to the more positive attribution is necessary.

노인 일자리 사업 참여자의 통제 귀인과 활동의 요구-조절-지지 정도 및 통제 전략이 자신의 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Control Attribution, Demand-Control-Support Model, and Control Strategy on Elderly Workers' Subjective Well-Being)

  • This study tested the path model with regard to how certain variables (control attribution, demand-control-support of activity, and control strategy) affected the elderly workers' subjective well-being(swb). In the path model, the exogenous variables were internal and external control attribution. We used demand-control-support of activity, and primary and secondary control strategies as mediating variables. The endogenous variable was each elderly worker's swb. Study participants were 205 elders participating in an "education activity". We used descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical multiple regression to examine data collected from structured interviews with the participants. Path analysis revealed the followings: First, secondary control strategy was the strongest predictor of participants' swb but internal control attribution, demand of activity, and support of activity also positively affected participants' swb. Second, internal control attribution indirectly affected the participants' swb. Finally primary control strategy negatively affected on the participants' swb.
