  • 본 논문은 펄스 삽입 보조 회로를 갖고 있는 12-펄스 브리지 4대를 사용한 36-펄스 back-to-back 전압원 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 back-to-back 전압원 컨버터는 교류 연계점에서 유효전력과 무효전력의 독립적인 제어가 가능하다. 펄스 수를 증가하는 원리는 이론적 접근을 사용하여 분석되었다. 제안된 시스템의 동작 타당성은 PSCAD/EMTDC 소프트웨어의 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증되었다. 제안된 back-to-back 전압원 컨버터는 HVDC와 FACTS 장치로 널리 사용될 수 있다.

  • 배치는 칩의 성능 및 레이아웃에 결정적인 영향을 주는 요인으로써 크게 광역배치와 상세배치 두단계를 거쳐 이루어지며 수년 동안 다양한 기법들이 개발되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 표준 셀 배치를 개선하기 위한 동적 프로그래밍 기법을 이용한 최적 인터리빙 알고리즘을 확장하여 선을 동일 행 내에서만 움직이던 한계점을 극복하여 서로 다른 행 사이에서도 움직일 수 있도록 하였다. 즉, 셀들은 주어진 배치 내에서 임의의 위치로 움직일 수 있어 배치가 더욱 효율적으로 최적화 될 수 있도록 하였다.

  • In this paper, we show the robustness of a proposed system using both a frequency diversity and a time diversity effect when the channel assumptions are relaxed such that all sub-bands are not independent fading. We take time-repetition coding with interleaving such that the repetition code symbols are spaced sufficiently far apart to guarantee time diversity. We also incorporate offset multicarriers into a proposed multicarrier DS-CDMA system in a different way compared to that of [10] to reduce the total multiple access interference. When we take a convolutional encoder instead of a time-repetition encoder, and again use both time diversity and frequency offset, then we can obtain the significant performance gain.

  • Purpose: In the gradient echo EPI the conventional T2*-weighted image is poor in signal as well distorted by the field inhomogeneity. By acquiring a proton density image in addition to th T2*-weighted image at the same scan, the fMRI processing can be improved. Method: The central region of the k space is acquired twice at different time points after th RF pulse while acquiring the other regions onc as described in Fig. 1. In Fig. 1 the segment numbers are chronological. Then, we can get two images of different contrast by interleaving th central region in the k space as done in the dua contrast FSE.

  • For constructionof the next generation satellite B-ISDN/ATM networks considering integration with terrestrial information infrastructure networks, various high speed and wideband satellites with be launched and they will make used of frequency reue techniques for efficient management of limited frequency resource. Therefore, CCI(Co-Channel Interference) inherent in frequency reuse will be a dominant factor in performance degradation of satellite networks. This paper alanyzes the ATM cell transmission performance degradation caused by CCI. The satellite link, including up-link and down-link thermal noise, CCI, and nonlinear satellite transponder, is modeled and interleaving technique is used for compensating the ATM cell transmission performance degradation caused by burst error of satellite link. First, each satellite link subsystem is analyzed in detail and then end-to-end ATM cell transmission performance is evaluated with BER and CLR. Specifically, ATMcell transmission performance degradation caused by CCI is evaluated in detail.

  • In this paper, the performance of the trellis coded CPFSK with the coherent detection over mobile communication channels is calculated. The characteristics of channels, including phase jitter effects and fading effects, are examined and modeled. The phase jitter channel is modeled to have a nonzero mean and a gaussian distribution. The fading channel has a Rayleigh distribution in the multipath. For the optimal decoding method(MLSE), the Viterbi algorithm is used for the trellis structure of trellis coded CPFSK. The results indicate that the trellis coded CPFSK with a small moulation indes gets more sensitive, as the index gets smaller, to the phase noise under the phase jitter channel. Using the interleaving method. It gives considerable improvements in the error rate under the fading channel.

A Delayed Multiple Copy Retransmission Scheme for Data Communication in Wireless Networks

  • In this paper, we propose a delayed multiple copy retransmission (DMCR) scheme for data communication in wireless networks, by which multiple copies of a lost link layer frame are retransmitted one-by-one with a retransmission delay in between. The number of the copies gradually increases with the number of retransmissions. Furthermore, for implementation of the DMCR scheme in practical mobile communication system, we also propose a dynamic retransmission scheme by interleaving and a new round-robin scheduling algorithm. We compare our scheme with the previous non-delayed retransmission schemes on the performance of frame loss probability, channel capacity and total transmission time. Numerical results show that the DMCR scheme can achieve higher performance. The effect of the delay time on endto-end TCP throughput is investigated as well.

  • 인터리빙은 부호화된 메시지를 전송채널을 통하여 전송하기 전에 이루어지는 시간 다이버시티 기능으로 전송채널에서 일어나는 전송메시지에 대한 연집 오류를 시간적으로 확산시켜 산란오류로 분포시키는 기능을 수행한다. 따라서 복호기에서는 산란오류에 대하여 오류정정을 하게 되어 전송 데이터의 신호품질을 향상시킨다. 본 논문에서는 부 복호기에서 인터리빙 디인터리빙을 수행하는 블록, 대각, 랜덤 인터리버 설계방법을 제시하고 블록, 제안된 블록, 랜덤 인터리버 디인터리버를 VHDL언어로 설계 및 검증한다.

  • In this paper, we propose the method that separates PPG signal and motion artifact signal from two input signals using new independent component analysis algorithm in time domain. In order to eliminate the large level artifact efficiently, block interleaving. lowpass time filtering and innovation processing technique were applied in ICA preprocessing, and FastICA algorithm were applicable. Experiments are made with the numerical simulation and the real PPG signal including four kinds of motion artifact pattern. Our results show that ICA can effectively detect, separate and remove motion artifact in input signals. Then from the separated signals we restore the original PPG signal and propose a new method which computes SpO$_2$ using ICA mixing matrix.

Performance Improvement of the Flattening Effect for Turbo Codes applying the New Block Interleaving Methods (새로운 블록 인터리빙 방법을 적용한 터보 부호의 Flattening Effect의 성능개선에 관한 연구)

  • 터보 부호는 종료 알고리즘(termination algorithm)과 반복복호 알고리즘(iterative decoding algorithm)을 사용함으로써 AWGN 채널환경에서 BER 성능이 우수한 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 터보 부호는 복호과정에서 큰 복호지연을 요구하며 음성 신호를 전송할 때 프레임의 크기가 작아서 성능의 열화가 생긴다. 또한, 높은 SNR에서는 BER 성능의 개선이 없는 Error Floor 현상이 나타나기 때문에 오류정정 능력의 한계에 도달하는 큰 단점을 가진다. Flattening Effect는 종료 알고리즘을 사용하는 터보 부호(terminated conditions : TC)보다는 종료 알고리즘을 사용하지 않는 터보 부호(non terminated conditions : NTC)에서 상대적으로 많이 나타난다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 NTC 하에서 터보 부호의 Flattening Effect를 개선시키기 위한 새로운 블록 인터리빙 방법을 제시한다. 모의실험결과, 새로운 블록 인터리빙 방법을 적용함으로써 효과적으로 Flattening Effect를 제거할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.
