  • A new analytical derivation of the elastodynamic point load solutions for an isotropic multi-layered half-space is presented by means of the precise integration method (PIM) and the approach of dual vector. The time-harmonic external load is prescribed either on the external boundary or in the interior of the solid medium. Starting with the axisymmetric governing motion equations in a cylindrical coordinate system, a second order ordinary differential matrix equation can be gained by making use of the Hankel integral transform. Employing the technique of dual vector, the second order ordinary differential matrix equation can be simplified into a first-order one. The approach of PIM is implemented to obtain the solutions of the ordinary differential matrix equation in the Hankel integral transform domain. The PIM is a highly accurate algorithm to solve sets of first-order ordinary differential equations and any desired accuracy of the dynamic point load solutions can be achieved. The numerical simulation is based on algebraic matrix operation. As a result, the computational effort is reduced to a great extent and the computation is unconditionally stable. Selected numerical trials are given to validate the accuracy and applicability of the proposed approach. More examples are discussed to portray the dependence of the load-displacement response on the isotropic parameters of the multi-layered media, the depth of external load and the frequency of excitation.

  • 1. Background and Purpose At the year of 2000, the society of sasang constitutional medicine acqired ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSuseBowon GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$ which is presumed as the copy of ${\ulcorner}$GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$. According to Lee Sung-Su who is the great-grandson of DongMu's older brother, $[\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSuseBowon GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$ was worked by Lee Jin-Yoon who is the grandson of DongMu's older brother and it was copied by Han Min-Gab and now is owned by Lee Sung-Su who is the son of Lee Jin-Yoon. 2. Method This paper was written in order to understand the character of the discourse on the constitutional symp toms and diseases of ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSuseBowon GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) Each constitutional symptoms and diseases is classed as that of exterior and interior and then classsed again as that of exterior's exterior, exterior's interior, interior's exterior and interior's interior. 2) The degree of completion is high at the chapter of Soeumin and Soyangin comparing with that of Taeeumin and Taeyangin which don't exist as the contrasted explanation. 3) Soeumin's exterior-disease is divided Taiyang(太陽) and Yangmyung(陽明)'s disease by the sweating, that's interior-disease is same to Sinchukbon(辛丑本). BaboBon already have the concept of UlKwang(鬱狂) and mangYang(亡陽), so the discourse on the constitutional symptoms and diseases of Soyangin is early establish comparing with other constitution. 4) The Cold and Hot, the constitutional symptoms and diseases, the disease theory of Soyangin can be accessible to opposite side of Soeumin's that. The disease of exterior's exterior is only explained abdominal pain and diarrhea without the concept of Mangeum(亡陰) disease, but at the time of SinchukBon the concept of Mangeum-disease is invented. 5) There is many different with SinchukBon that the classification of symptoms and diseases of Taeeumin, and not mentioned the physiology and pathlogy of the airs and fluids metabolism. 6) Healthy Energy(保命之主) show us that JungKi(正氣) is key-point of the utility of the symptoms and diseases.

  • This paper proposes a new design method for the GBAM: (general bidirectional associative memory) model. Based on theoretical investigations on the GBAM: model, it is shown that the design of the GBAM:-based bidirectional associative memeories can be formulated as optimization problems called GEVPs (generalized eigenvalue problems). Since the GEVPs arising in the procedure can be efficiently solved within a given tolerance by the recently developed interior point methods, the design procedure established in this paper is very useful in practice. The applicability of the proposed design procedure is demonstrated by simple design examples considered in related studies.

  • In the normal equations approach in which the ordering and factorization phases are separated, the factorization in the augmented system approach is computed dynamically. This means that in the augmented system the numerical factorization should be performed to obtain the non-zero structure of Cholesky factor L. This causes much time to set up the non-zero structure of Cholesky factor L. So, we present a method which can separate the ordering and numerical factorization in the augmented system. Experimental results show that the proposed method reduces the time for obtaining the non-zero structure of Cholesky factor L.

  • In this paper, we propose a design method for GBSB (generalized brain-state-in-a-box) based associative memories. Based on the theoretical investigation about the properties of GBSB, we parameterize the solution space utilizing the limited number of parameters sufficient to represent the solution space and appropriate to be searched. Next we formulate the problem of finding a GBSB that can store the given pattern as stable states in the form of constrained optimization problems. Finally, we transform the constrained optimization problem into a SDP(semidefinite program), which can be solved by recently developed interior point methods. The applicability of the proposed method is illustrated via design examples.

  • Under restructuring, not only real power pricing but also reactive power pricing is important for the system operation Especially, making a reasonable reactive power pricing is becoming more important than any other time. In this paper, the authors set a proper power factor and price the portion of the reactive power generation that exceeds the power factor. To apply this method to an optimization problem, we developed optimal power flow based on interior point method. By using this IPM for the power system, the System operator can use this strategy for reactive power generation pricing and also the Generators can got the motivation to generate reactive power.

  • In this paper, we consider the global exponential stability of cellular neural networks with time-varying delays. Based on the Lyapunov function method and convex optimization approach, a novel delay-dependent criterion of the system is derived in terms of LMI (linear matrix inequality). In order to solve effectively the LMI convex optimization problem, the interior point algorithm is utilized in this work. Two numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of our results.

  • Habitability is one of the most important points when a passenger ship is cruising. In particular, anti-vibration design should be considered preferentially to offer passenger a comfort cabin and leisure space. But, a passenger ship is different from a general commercial ship in the view point of the structural arrangement. It is restricted within narrow limits to reinforce wide panels and local structures of a passenger ship because of its interior design. Moreover, the allowable vibratory limits for a passenger ship are much lower than those of a commercial ship. In this study are introduced the procedure of the vibration analysis, the structural improvement method for prevention of vibration and the results of vibration measurement during exciter test and sea trials.

  • A noise transfer function(NTF) is the frequency response function between an input force applied to an exterior point of a vehicle body and the resultant interior sound pressure usually measured at the driver's ear position. It represents the measure of noise sensitivity for the output force transmitted to the joints between the body and chassis. The principle of vibro-acoustic reciprocity is often utilized in the measurement of NTF. One difficulty in using the volume source is that most of the previously proposed methods require the knowledge of the volume velocity of the acoustic source in advance. A new method proposed in the present work does not require any calculation related with the volume velocity of the acoustic source, but still yields even more accurate results both in the amplitude and phase of the NTF. In the present work, the new method is applied to obtain NTF data for a midsize sedan.
