  • Images acquired by Large Aperture Static Imaging Spectrometer (LASIS) exhibit obvious interference stripes, which are vertical and stationary due to the special imaging principle of interference hyperspectral image (IHI) data. As the special characteristics above will seriously affect the intrinsic structure and sparsity of IHI, decomposition of IHI has drawn considerable attentions of many scientists and lots of efforts have been made. Although some decomposition methods for interference hyperspectral data have been proposed to solve the above problem of interference stripes, too many times of iteration are necessary to get an optimal solution, which will severely affect the efficiency of application. A novel algorithm for decomposition of interference hyperspectral images based on split Bregman iteration is proposed in this paper, compared with other decomposition methods, numerical experiments have proved that the proposed method will be much more efficient and can reduce the times of iteration significantly.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new hybrid interference canceller using the adaptive filter with Grouped CMA(Constant Modulus Algorithm)-LMS(Least Mean Square) algorithm in the RF(Radio Frequency) repeater. The feedback signal generated from transmitter antenna to receiver antenna reduces the performance of the receiver system. The proposed interference canceller has better channel adaptive performance and a lower MSE(Mean Square Error) than conventional structure because it uses the cancellation method of Grouped CMA algorithm. This structure reduces the number of iterations fur the same MSE performance and hardware complexity compared to conventional nonlinear interference canceller. Namely, MSE values of the proposed algorithm were lower than those of LMS algorithm by 2.5 dB and 4 dB according to step sizes. And the proposed algorithm showed fast speed of convergence and similar MSE performance compared to VSS(Variable Step Size)-LMS algorithm.

  • In this paper, we design SSD(simultaneous single band duplex) system using RF(radio frequency) cancellation and digital cancellation. we analyze characteristic of residual self-interference after RF Cancellation signal when error of phase shifter occur in RF cancellation. When phase shifter error of $0^{\circ}$, $0.5^{\circ}$, $1^{\circ}$ and $2^{\circ}$ occur in RF cancellation, residual self-interference signal power after RF cancellation is bigger than desired signal power of distant station. So, it is impossible to receive transmit data of distant station. but we confirm that it is possible to receive transmit data of distant station by digital cancellation with frame structure. Also, in digital cancellation with frame structure, if residual self-interference signal after RF cancellation is too large then LMS algorithm requires more time to estimate self-interference channel. That is, performance degradation occurs because self-interference channel estimation has not completed in estimation frame.

  • This paper presents a Duvall-structure-based adaptive beamforming method which efficiently cancels coherent and incoherent interferences. The proposed method exploits several correlation vectors to increase the dimension of the weight vector, compared to the existing method which uses a single correlation vector only. The increased dimension of the weight vector leads to an improvement in the signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) performance. Moreover, the proposed method can suppress more interferences than the existing one. Simulation shows that the former is superior to the latter in terms of the steady-state and transient responses.

  • These days are referred to as 'the times of textile fashion,' owing to the emphasis on textile design in the fashion industry. Accordingly, apparel companies have increased their interests in developing new types of textiles to overcome the limits of style and silhouette. Now the ultra-fashion of textile, a new way of process and design development, is given much more attention. A Moire interference pattern has a longer wavy circle of interference, an effect of intensity interference, than one made by piling more than one reflecting plate or transmitting plate. Till now, Moire interference patterns have been used to confirm scientific theory and to measure the structure of a body or a subject in areas such as physics and medical science. Work has also been done on the Moire interference effects on TV screens said to cause dizziness and eye strain. This study focuses on the new types of textiles by creating the appearance of the Moire phenomena. Contrary to the present usual stationary patterns of textiles, it is a varying pattern according to the different gratings, different angles, piling gratings, and the movements of the human bodies. In the preceding study, we observed Moire fringes formed by overlapping two different or same kinds of gratings such as parallel line gratings, square gratings, conic gratings and semicircular gratings and tried to find a promising possibility of new textiles through the method of clothes design simulation.

  • Parallel link manipulators have an ability of more precise positioning than serial open-loop manipulators. However. general parallel link manipulators have been restricted to the real applications since they have limited workspace due to interference among actuators. In this study, we suggest a closed-loop manipulator with 6 degrees-of-freedom and with enlarged workspace. It consists of two parts for minimizing the interference among actuators. One part is lower structure with planar 3 degrees-of-freedom and the other is upper one with spatial 3 degrees-of-freedom. Forward kinematics and inverse kinematics are solved, research about singularity points are carried out and workspace is evaluated. The comparison of workspace between Stewart platform, which is the typical parallel link manipulator, and the suggested manipulator shows that the workspace of the latter is wider than that of the former. Especially, simulation results also show that the suggested manipulator is more suitable when there needs rotation in the end-effector.

  • The electro-acoustic guitar pickup converts the vibration of strings to the electric signals, and delivers them to an amplifier. The vibration of the strings is transferred to the piezoelectric material through the saddle. This paper aims to improve sound quality for electro-acoustic guitars through the finite element analysis of the saddle. Firstly, the conventional pickup is modeled and analyzed with a commercial program called ANSYS. It is obvious that there exists interference phenomenon of stress. A structural modification of the pickup is performed, based on the beam theory. The modified structure is modeled and analyzed. Finally, the fabricated structures are subjected to the measurements and compared with the conventional pickup. It can be concluded that the interference with the modified structure is much less than that with the conventional structure, and that the sound quality is improved with the modified structures.

  • This paper presents a novel feeding structure of the triple-band internal antenna which covers CELLVLAR/DCS/US-PCS bands. The proposed antenna consists of a U-slot patch radiator with a shorting post connected with ground plane and symmetric feeding lines with respective a feeding and shorting posts on both faces of the fixed FR-4 substrate. Through the simulation and experimental results, the proposed antenna is confirmed to have the features of less interference with a human head/body, broad bandwidth, desirable radiation patterns and efficiency for triple-band applications.

  • An OFDM/offset QAM (OQAM)-IOTA system uses the isotropic orthogonal transform algorithm (IOTA) function, which has good localization properties in the time and frequency domains. This is employed instead of the guard interval used in a conventional OFDM/QAM system in order to be robust for multi-path channels. However, the conventional channel estimation scheme is not valid for an OFDM/OQAM-IOTA system due to the intrinsic inter-symbol interference of the IOTA function. In this paper, a condition is derived to reduce the intrinsic interference of the IOTA function. This condition is obtained with the proposed pilot structure used for perfect channel estimation. We also derive the preamble structure appropriate for practical channel estimation of the OFDM/OQAM-IOTA system. Simulation results show that the OFDM/OQAM-IOTA system with the proposed preamble structure performs better than the conventional OFDM system, and it has the additional advantage of an increased data transmission rate which corresponds to the guard interval retrieval.

  • In this article, we proposed a new interference canceller using the adaptive algorithm. We designed constant modulus algorithm-correlation normailized least mean square (CMA-CNLMS) for wireless system. This structure is normalized LMS algorithm using correlation between the desired and input signal for cancelling the interference signals in the wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) system. We showed that the proposed algorithm could improve the Mean Square Error (MSE) performance of LMS algorithm. MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory) is employed to analyze the proposed algorithm and to compare it with the experimental results. The MSE value of the LMS with mu=0.0001 was measured as - 12.5 dB, and that of the proposed algorithm was -19.5 dB which showed an improvement of 7dB.
