  • The mainpoints of General Theory is 1) the mainspring of economic activity is effective demand which can expand or control in relation to supply as a result of spontaneous decision by customer or government. 2) change in effective demand Produce change in output and employment in the same direction 3) which given productivity of labour the Vice level depend on the money supply affect the in downward direction 4) change in the money supply affect the economy through the rates of interest 5) the only automatic mechanism through which the economy can adjust itself to a deficiency of effective demand is the long process which unemployment reduces wage rates and consequently the demand for money and interest rates, above summarized contents are General Theory frame-work. The neo-classical macro general equilibrium theory, which has been reconstructed subsequent to Keyneses critism is treated the neo-classical macro-general equilibrium theory which inherits the classical theories of labour market and the aggregate production function, on demand side, it introduce the Keyneses macro-general equilibrium theory, which function through flexible movement of prices, wage and interest. Nowadays, Keynes General Theory is being developed into new dimension i, e. the macro-disequilibrium theory, and adequacy, and appropriateness of the theory and its significant contributions to modern economics are being reinterpreted and substantiated.

The Educational Implementation of e-Learning System Applying the Theory of Motivation - With Focus on "Interest" and the "Self-Determination Theory" (동기 이론이 적용된 e-Learning system의 교육적 실천: 흥미와 SDT를 중심으로)

  • This study examines and measures the enhancement of intrinsic motivation in learners who have been part of the e-Learning system (www.englishbuddy.kr) for elementary-level English learning, developed based on the systematic application of the motivation theory as dictated by 'interest' and 'self-determination' and put into practice at 3,100 private tutoring institutions. According to the survey conducted on 328 learners in the e-Learning system inspired by the motivation theory and on 150 learners in other English programs, the former was found to have stimulated 'interest' and satisfied 'psychological desire' in the learners, leading to the development of 'specific strategies to motivate learners.' The study has clearly identified how learners are better motivated in the e-Learning environment, demonstrating its contributions to advancing e-Learning, building a practical e-Learning system based on a systematic motivation theory defined by 'interest' and 'self-determination,' and applying the system to some 16,000 learners at 3,100 private tutoring institutions.

  • The credit ration is a significant area of financial management which is of major interest to practitioners, financial and credit analysts. The components of credit rating are identified decision models are developed to assess credit rating an the corresponding creditworthiness of firms an accurately ad possble. Although many early studies demonstrate a priori which of these techniques will be most effective to solve a specific classification problem. Recently, a number of studies have demonstrate that a hybrid model integration artificial intelligence approaches with other feature selection algorthms can be alternative methodologies for business classification problems. In this article, we propose a hybrid approach using rough set theory as an alternative methodology to select appropriate attributes for case-based reasoning. This model uses rough specific interest lies in lthe stable combining of both rough set theory to extract knowledge that can guide dffective retrevals of useful cases. Our specific interest lies in the stable combining of both rough set theory and case-based reasoning in the problem of corporate credit rating. In addition, we summarize backgrounds of applying integrated model in the field of corporate credit rating with a brief description of various credit rating methodologies.

The Nexus Between Monetary Policy and Economic Growth: Evidence from Vietnam

  • The study estimates the Structured VAR and the Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Model for the Vietnamese economy based on the new Keynesian model for small and open economies, with the output gap, inflation, policy interest rate, the Vietnamese exchange rate, and the inflation and interest rate in the United States. The paper aims to clarify the impulse response of the macro variables through their shocks. It offers to model the SVAR and DSGE processes, as well as describe why and how interest rate policy is important in the impulse response of macro variables like the output gap and inflation process. The study supports the central role of monetary policy by giving empirical evidence for the new Keynesian theory, according to which an interest rate shock causes the output gap to widen and inflation to decrease. Finally, the application of the DSGE model is becoming more and more popular in the State Bank of Viet Nam to improve its policy planning, analyzing, and forecasting policy towards sustainable and stable growth.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Engineering Theory Class Applying Review Games (복습게임을 활용한 공학이론 수업의 효과성 분석)

  • In order to improve students' interest, class participation and class comprehension in engineering theory classes, a class applying review games as Jinjinga, Bingo, etc. were designed and developed. Through applying them to three engineering theory subjects, the specific effects of the strategy on students' understanding, interest, participation, and academic achievement were analyzed and the usefulness of each review game strategy was analyzed. Analyzing class data over the past 11 years, there was a clear correlation between performance of the students in the review game and their actual grades, which was found to be greater than the negative effect of absence rate on the test performance or grades. This study also researched students' perceptions compared to other general subjects not applying the review games. The results of a survey of the students who took the review game class showed the usual amount of usual studying hours increased, the burden of examination or the amount of studying hours for preparing the exam was reduced, and the class interest and achievement significantly increased compared to other subjects in the same major.

A Case Study on Design and Operation of Engineering Theory Classes Applying Review Games (복습게임을 활용한 공학이론 수업의 설계 및 운영 사례)

  • This study designed and developed a class using review games as a way to enhance students' interest, class participation, and class comprehension in engineering theory classes, and explored their educational effectiveness. To this end, a review game strategy based on the Creative Training Technique was established and applied to three engineering theory subjects. The types of review games include Jin-jin-ga, Bingo, Challenge Golden Bell, Finding hidden terms, and Completing initial sentences. As a result of applying this review game strategy to the classes over the past decade, students' satisfaction and lecture evaluation scores significantly increased compared to before application, and it was confirmed that students' interest in and understanding of the class increased significantly. Furthermore, this gamification class strategy can be a way to increase students' participation in theory classes regardless of their major, and can be applied to non-face-to-face online classes.

Fixed Versus Floating Interest Rates in Shipping Finance: A Behavioral Finance Perspective

  • This study analyzed the decision-making process in ship finance for the choice between fixed and floating interest rates using behavioral finance theories. Results confirmed that causes and background of decision-making processes could be explicitly explained by the framework of behavioral finance theories. This study also determined whether decisions were irrational. A case-study research was applied as the methodology. Decision-making data on ship finance collected through narrative and questionnaire responses were analyzed and evaluated using behavioral finance theories. Theories of behavioral finance used in the analysis and research of this study included availability heuristic, anchoring effect, and opportunity cost theory. Narrative and survey responses were clearly explained by theories of behavioral finance. It was found that a shipping company suffered additional losses owing to decisions that included behavioral finance errors. Behavioral finance theories largely influenced the decision-making process of choosing between a fixed interest rate and a floating interest rate. Shipping finance decisions related to interest rate selections could be clearly explained by behavioral finance theories. Errors related to behavioral finance could result in irrational decisions. Thus, managers who are responsible for shipping finance should remain vigilant toward any behavioral finance errors when making shipping finance decisions.

Analysis of the different of Interest words between Korea and Vietnam using network theory - Focusing on smart city (네트워크 이론을 이용한 한국과 베트남의 관심어 차이 분석 - 스마트시티를 중심으로)

  • In order to support new construction engineering companies with weak information power to successfully advance into the overseas construction market, this study tried to analyze what are the keywords of interest in the overseas construction market and how they differ from Korea. For this purpose, we recently collected 2,473 news article titles and major articles targeting smart cities that are of high interest in Korea and Vietnam. Through network configuration and topic modeling, we examined the connection relationship between the word of interest and the word of interest. In addition, the influence of the word of interest in the network was measured using PageRank centrality. Through this analysis, it was found that there is a high interest in smart city-related construction, cities, and digital in both countries, and the difference in terms of interest between Korea and Vietnam was inferred. Finally, the limitations of this study and additional research directions to complement them are presented.

Foreign Affairs, the National Interest, and Secular-Religious Identities in Israel

  • Despite being a key concept of International Relations theory, there is no consensus about what the national interest is. It is almost impossible for political leaders of democratic states to make a crucial decision in foreign policies when considering only the national interest without public support. Rather, we are unable to imagine the national interest without public opinion. In general, international crises galvanize people who held different opinions and unify social cleavages, such as secular-religious identities, into a nation that acts in its national interest. The author proposes a method to operationalize the key concept and describes a relationship between the national interest and religious identities in a democratic state. The selected case is the state of Israel. It is believed that Israel is a good example to think about the association between foreign affairs and political attitudes since it is characterized as a socio-religious divided society and has often waged war against Arab military forces.
