A Dynamic Event Filtering Technique using Multi-Level Path Sampling in a Shared Virtual Environment (공유가상공간에서 다중경로샘플링을 이용한 동적 이벤트 필터링 기법)

  • 본 연구는 인터넷 기반 공유가상공간에서 시스템의 확장성을 유지하기 위하여 이동객체를 대상으로 하는 이벤트 필터링 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 다중격자 모델 기법은 이동객체의 경로 상에서 대표적인 이벤트를 샘플링하는 방식을 사용한다. 이 방식은 메시지 트래픽의 양을 동적으로 조절하기 위하여 이동객체 간의 관심정도 정보를 수치적으로 변환하여 이벤트 갱신빈도에 반영한다. 대량의 이동객체를 생성하여 제안된 기법을 적용한 성능평가 실험에서 기존의 방식에 비하여 평균 메시지 전송량이 50%이상 감소하는 것으로 확인할 수 있었다. 다중격자 모델은 참여자의 수와 메시지 트래픽 상황에 따라 가상환경의 공유 QoS를 동적으로 조절할 수 있으며, 인터넷 상에서 다수 사용자를 위한 3차원 가상사회 구축 및 온라인 네트워크 게임 개발 등에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.Abstract This paper proposes an event filtering technique that can dynamically control a large amount of event messages produced by moving objects like avatars or autonomous objects in a distributed virtual environment. The proposed multi-level grid model technique uses the method that extracts the representative events from the paths of moving objects. For dynamic control of message traffics, this technique digitizes the DOIs of the avatars and reflects the interest information controlling the frequency of message transmission. For the performance evaluation, a large number of moving objects were created and the model was applied to these avatar groups. In the experiments, more than 50% of messages have been reduced in comparison with the existing AOI-based filtering techniques. The proposed technique can dynamically control the QoS in proportion to the number of users and the amount of messages where a large number of users share a virtual space. This model can be applied to the development of 3D collaborative virtual societies and multi-user online games in the Internet.

  • Recently, interest and investment in the Internet of Things (IoT) have increased significantly, and security issues are constantly being raised. As a solution, the IETF ACE Working Group is establishing the ACE framework standard, which is a new security framework for various constrained IoT environments based on the existing OAuth 2.0. However, additional work is required to apply the ACE framework, which proposes a new lightweight security system, to the existing Internet environment, and this additional cost is a factor that hinders the application of OAuth 2.0 to the IOT environment. Therefore, we propose an IoT authentication framework based on OAuth 2.0's existing development motivation, and implement a proposal framework based on CoAPthon and analyze its performance.

  • There is much interest on information communications owing to the rapid development of network and IT(Information Technology). Analog signals are converted into digital signals for information communications. However, it is very difficult to completely erase the distortion induced during the conversion of analog signals such as voices and images into digital signals. Existing audio graphic equalizer requires very complex processes to calculate the gain and coefficients of the higher-order filter which is required to generate natural sound and to satisfy the need of each person. Unfortunately it is uneconomical and very difficult to embed the existing digital audio equalizer in the system because of the complexity of the existing digital audio equalizer for high quality sound. This paper discusses the design of a new digital audio graphic equalizer(DAGEQ) which can improve system performance and the quality of audio sound, and can be embedded in the system. This new DAGEQ is designed so that the gain can be controlled automatically. The automatic control of coefficients and gain empowers real time processing and the improvement of audio quality.

  • Advancement of technique in the $21^{st}$ century has enabled us to combine designs through diversification of materials and academic liaison, which has brought about alteration of variety of desires in our lives. Consequently, visual concern along with harmony of functional roles allows development of design that matches one's own Individuality, in which case is becoming the subject of interest. Currently, designs are being developed using various materials. This trend respects personal sensitivity and taste and thus becoming diversified. As a result of elevated standard of living, health and individuality are becoming highly concerned and accordingly, fragrance is being developed in various forms to match personal taste and character, such as one's own memory and sensitivity. Hence, I am to propose a conjugation plan about men's adornments that deviates from women's secondary design and expresses only men's character and sensitivity. First, I will engraft porosity metal with adornments and use materials that has aroma and direction of way of wearing it. Then, I will engraft visual design with the olfactory sensation to apply to ornaments, using mechanical traits and materials with aesthetic elements, which will meet the customers' sensuous demand

  • This study examined the relationship of what kind of creative thinking has as factors for emotion design products for consumers focusing on the successful cases of emotion products. For the design creativity attribute used in this experiment, the design evaluation creativity tools revealed in Kim Eun-Ju's 2007 design creativity evaluation tool development were used mostly MP3s, which have various forms, functions and sizes were selected as the target for experiment. Results of the experiment showed that for design creativeness items for MP3 as single products, uniqueness, favorableness and convenience were relevant. Accordingly, the common features of design creativeness items for emotional products were identified. According to the result, for emotional designs, the interest level of uniqueness for the design creativity evaluation items and the functional items for practicality had a high relativity. Therefore, there is a need to examine the common features between the design creativity items for products other than MP3s in the future.

  • The definition of quality continues to evolve. In recent years, there has been growing interest in how to satisfy customers' potential needs with an emphasis on customer-oriented quality. Two-dimensional quality proposed by Kano provides a useful framework for discovering quality attributes critical to customer satisfaction and it is widely employed for product and service development. In Kano model, quality attributes are classified into attractive, one-dimensional, must-be, indifferent, and reverse ones. Finding attractive elements among them is important for achieving customer satisfaction effectively. However, Kano's classification method has limitations in dealing with customers' ambiguous and complex ideas. The customer response itself includes uncertainty and incompleteness. To overcome this problem, fuzzy methods are incorporated with Kano's classification in this paper. According to numerical comparisons, it is shown that the fuzzy Kano method is useful for accommodating various response of customer and is helpful to identify potential needs.

Image Dehazing Algorithm Using Near-infrared Image Characteristics (근적외선 영상의 특성을 활용한 안개 제거 알고리즘)

  • The infrared light is known to be less dependent on background light compared to the visible light, and thus many applications such as remote sensing and image surveillance use the infrared image. Similar to color images, infrared images can also be degraded by hazy weather condition, and consequently the performance of the infrared image-based applications can decrease. Nevertheless, infrared image dehazing has not received significant interest. In this paper, we analyze the characteristic of infrared images, especially near-infrared (NIR) images, and present an NIR dehazing algorithm using the analyzed characteristics. In particular, a machine learning framework is adopted to obtain an accurate transmission map and several post-processing methods are used for further refinement. Experimental results show that the proposed NIR dehazing algorithm outperforms the conventional color image dehazing method for NIR image dehazing.

Steganography on Android Smart Devices (안드로이드 스마트기기에서의 스테가노그래피 연구)

  • As increasing the use of smart phones, the interest of iOS and Android operating system is growing up. In this paper, a novel steganographic method based on Android platform is proposed. Firstly, we analyze the skia based image format that is supporting 2D graphic libraries in Android operating system. Then, we propose a new data hiding method based on the Android bitmap image format. The proposed method hides the secret data on the four true color areas which include Alpha, Red, Green, Blue. In especial, we increase the embedding capacity of the secret data on the Alpha area with a less image distortion. The experimental results show that the proposed method has a higher embedding capacity and less distortion by changing the size of the secret bits on the Alpha area.

  • Nuclear power plant has increased continuously for power production in all over the world and the interest about nuclear accident and the dismantling of aging nuclear power plant has been a growing. The leaked radioactive source that is generated by radiation accidents must detect and remove to minimized the damage as soon as possible. Gamma-ray detection system that have been developed until now cannot provide the precise position of radioactive sources because they detect and imaging the position of radiation sources in just two dimensions. In this paper, stereo gamma ray detection system has developed and the algorithm for calculation of the distance has implemented to be able to measure the distribution of the leakage gamma ray source for the system. Stereo camera calibration for distance detection was conducted with the correction pattern and LED light and we carried out performance test of the system for the LED light source and a gamma ray source. In both experiments the results of the performance test, it was confirmed to have a 5% error. The results of this paper is used as a material for the development of gamma-ray imaging device.

  • Recently, it is increasing the interest in previous web and web 2.0 which mean differentiation. The previous system is typical Static web based on client and server model, while web 2.0 mean next generation web which web change and evolve fundamentally. In this paper, I suggest that the module on RSS reader available under web 2.0 standards. A currently used RSS feed do correct the part distortion which ran be possible resolve the encoding problem of Hanguel and third-world language. The suggested module is implemented using Ajax. I developed the module for the use of effective contents on web 2.0 through the DragBox module based on the programming on mobility of Ajax and the design and implementation of automatic update module of RSS feed.
